“Her cupcakes today were green with purple sprinkles, for reasons known only to her.”
Hmmmm. Could this maybe have something to do with her dead cousins girlfriend? Just maybe.

“High-Way 3: Full Responsibility As we travel down the Risk High-Way, obstacles and detours will inevitably appear. We can curse the inconveniences of life, and blame and complain, but not without being pulled down the Power Pyramid. Full Responsibility is the fundamental shift that moves us from B.C. (Blaming and Complaining) to A.D. (Acting and Dreaming). Until we realize that we’re in charge of our thoughts, and therefore our lives, we will be trapped in a prison of resentment, bitterness, and confusion. When we acknowledge the power of our focus, we realize that we were never prisoners in the first place.
High-Way 4: Feel All Your Feelings As challenges arise, allowing yourself to Feel All Your Feelings takes you to a childlike freedom, where emotions can come and go without guilt or denial. When we realize that there are no “bad” feelings, we stop getting stuck in one feeling to prevent feeling another. We realize that we can feel mad and sad and still have a positive attitude. Once we’re freed up emotionally, we “feel” better physically as well. Finally, as we overcome the fear and judgment of our own emotions, we can more easily accept the feelings of others.
High-Way 5: Honest Communication Once we get in touch with our emotions through High-Way 4, we’re ready to practice communicating them honestly with others in a self-responsible way. The practice of non-defensive listening and assertively asking for what we want empowers us and deepens our connection to those around us. When we risk taking responsibility for our feelings rather than blaming others for them, we combine the first four High-Ways into an “inner-state” of loving joy.
High-Way 6: Forgiveness of the Past …is knowing we were all doing the best we could at the time with the information we had.
High-Way 7: Gratitude for the Present …is focusing on appreciation and celebration of the good in every person and situation.
High-Way 8: Hope for the Future …is the light within us, no matter how small, that helps us persevere through the darkness. It's knowing that our destiny awaits.”

“Try it right now. In the next moment, choose a thought that feels good, such as… ✓admiring the beauty of a tree outside your window ✓appreciating the love and support of a good friend ✓delighting in your child, grandchild, or pet ✓relishing a recent accomplishment ✓dreaming of “Won’t it be wonderful when…” When you can’t seem to find a thought that really feels good, find a thought that at least feels better, such as… ✓accepting that it’s okay to cry ✓realizing you probably won’t remember this pain five years from now ✓you don’t have to do anything right now… but just be ”

“I was informed today that a candidate for High Consort had arrived. I took that to mean that I would be presented with someone who was of use to me. You do not look like a soldier, however," Sarrica said. "Indeed, you look like someone has yet again accidentally let the songbirds loose. All feathers and pretty song, little prince. Is there anything of substance to you?”

Okay so I started crying because literally two pages into my new book one of the main leads is so excited and nervous to meet his new fiancé
He got all dolled up dressed to the nines goes into the lining of his jacket and the embroidery 🪡 the color choices and little things
He put so much thought into his outfit and he had no servants to help him get ready ( he’s marrying a king) but someone in the palace helped with his hair
And he’s so nervous and put so much effort into making a good first impression
This is absolutely going to be a train wreck
The king is managing a war and looks at his betrothed like the biggest waste of time and now I’m sad
Because you didn’t have to be like that you just met
Fucking heartbroken

“The 8 High-Ways in a Nutshell
High-Way 1: Get the Picture Visualizing the outcome until it feels real is the first step to any dream or goal. Once you’re clear on your destination, keep thinking about it until you can get excited by what it will be like. Then, from that good-feeling place, the next step will reveal itself as surely as the next yellow brick showed up on Dorothy’s road to Oz.
... High-Way 2: Risk Once your dream starts to take shape, your next step will be to take a risk to follow it. Those who we refer to as “cowardly” have the same amount of fear as heroes, but they use their fear as an excuse to stay stuck. Heroes feel the fear and do it anyway. Whether it’s the risk of telling the truth or pursuing a dream, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. Risking is letting go of security as the world defines it for a larger safety net — being true to yourself. Risk is never running from (our fears), it's always running to (our dreams). Imagine, if you had no fear, what would you do? ”

EROTIC INDECISION
EROTIC INDECISION
Yet another lonesome day,
she sits on that lucky park benchh
that mocks me with a piercing smile.
With inviting eyes across the fishing pond
under the shade of a ‘want to be’
giant crooked bonsai tree,
she seems to call...
Playing proxy lover’s chess,
watching each other’s next move
in the middle of a cold concrete city park.
so near
but yet so far off in the dark.
Salivating in anticipation
for an impossible amorous encounter.
Tantalized by her fat,
blood engorged lips,
setting off a firestorm
within my love starved heart.
Jealous of the warm grinning bench taking my place,
gently holding her above her curving waist.
Voluptuous,
sultry,
beauty in a never ending dream,
that could not possibly be real.
But she tickles my heart,
while playing proxy lover’s chess
in the cold concrete city park.
There he sits across this wide abyss,
but he does not bark?
Yet another lonely day sent adrift,
pushed apart
by towering concrete prison sticks on the march.
Handsome,
so fine a man to spend his time fondly staring...
Loving me with his hungry eyes,
sending me passionate love letters on the silent wind.
I reply with my best fragrance downwind.
To steal his fate,
I bat an eye,
with a few dribbled drops
on a wet bitten lower lip.
But I grow tire and I am old,
and must now be bold…

HUSBAND TO WIFE
A love letter to my dearest Wife
in the virgin spirit of fond memories.
.
Good morning my love,
good morning my dearest love.
Failing to connect to your brilliance,
and swimming in your oceans
of magnificence;
has made me realize
how fragile
the realism of time.
I do love you my wife.
.
There are things
lingering in my mind,
fumbling around
in warm silent places of my heart.
Things unsaid,
things undone;
now seek to find a home
and sit on the throne of their origin.
I do love you my wife.
.
To speak on there own
of blissful possibilities,
and euphoric sensibilities.
Merry making in the golden meadows
of both our hearts
refusing to be apart.
Conquering triumphantly
after roaming through the
chaos of time.
For I do love you my wife.
.
For we wallowed
in the heavenly abyss,
and experienced impossible things;
carings in unselfish “sharings"
that will be forever missed.
.
Played in secret places
of loving sincerities
experiencing life on their own.
Cause we never rejected,
but embrace each other’s mutual feelings
in claiming them as our own.
To live as husband and wife
in delicious joyful happiness
without malice or an artificial price.
I do love you my wife.
.
So take my hand
to walk on happier sands.
Take my hand
to frolic in greener pastures.
Take my smiling affections
,
and live in my welcoming heart.
Take me to never
never-land
as we plan
in holy matrimony
of wife and husband to be.
.
So take my hand now,
while the sun rises
to the coming of dawn.
For there is no valid claim
of never being loved,
and no man ever loving you
my wife.
No claim…

I leave myself in those goodbyes
That are not meant to
Recede so easily from the mind,
Leaving a big part inside
Weathered like a coat
That once gave warmth all night,
Abandoning myself in those places
Where nostalgia aggravates
The consciousness within,
Vibrance becomes faded
Like a spare yellow bulb
Trying to light the lugubrious din,
I glide into an unfathomable road
Where distance besieges my load,
Try to find something known
Which I can forever own.

April 05, 1933-- FDR creates Civilian Conservation Corps
"On April 5, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt establishes the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), an innovative federally funded organization that put tens of thousands of Americans to work during the Great Depression on projects with environmental benefits.
In 1932, FDR took America’s political helm during the country’s worst economic crisis, declaring a “government worthy of its name must make a fitting response” to the suffering of the unemployed. He implemented the CCC a little over one month into his presidency as part of his administration’s “New Deal” plan for social and economic progress. The CCC reflected FDR’s deep commitment to environmental conservation. He waxed poetic when lobbying for the its passage, declaring “the forests are the lungs of our land [which] purify our air and give fresh strength to our people.”
The CCC, also known as “Roosevelt’s Tree Army,” was open to unemployed, unmarried U.S. male citizens between the ages of 18 and 26. All recruits had to be healthy and were expected to perform hard physical labor. Blacks were placed in de-facto segregated camps, although administrators denied the practice of discrimination. Enlistment in the program was for a minimum of 6 months; many re-enlisted after their first term. Participants were paid $30 a month and often given supplemental basic and vocational education while they served. Under the guidance of the Departments of the Interior and Agriculture, CCC employees fought forest fires, planted trees, cleared and maintained access roads, re-seeded grazing lands and implemented soil-erosion controls. They built wildlife refuges, fish-rearing facilities, water storage basins and animal shelters. To encourage citizens to get out and enjoy America’s natural resources, FDR authorized the CCC to build bridges and campground facilities. From 1933 to 1942, the CCC employed over 3 million men.
Of Roosevelt’s many New Deal policies, the CCC is considered by many to be one of the most enduring and successful. It provided the model for future state and federal conservation programs. In 1942, Congress discontinued appropriations for the CCC, diverting the desperately needed funds to the effort to win World War II."
