4/5 - Great crispy cheesy crust on top; I think the recipe was designed for a metal loaf pan not a glass one, so it came out both a little too olive oil-y (in terms of flavor) and not oiled enough (stuck to the bottom of the pan). Seems unfair to ding it for being too small as well since it says "small batch" right in the title, but a little too fiddly for something that will only get you 2 servings.

(Served with tomato soup, A++ combo for a cold winter day.)

The new Hunger Games novel, Sunrise on the Reaping, came out, and somehow, some of you have already finished it, written reviews, and performed deep character analysis across the different volumes in the series. Splinter Appreciation Week is a fan event to celebrate ALL versions of the TMNT franchise and the most beloved rat dad, Splinter. The 2025 event will take place from June 9th to 15th, the week leading up to Father’s Day.

This year's prompts are

DAY 1 - Warmth / Wisdom DAY 2 - Companion / Loyalty DAY 3 - Legacy / Tradition DAY 4 - Break Day / Promote an existing work DAY 5 - Nourish / Poison Day 6 - Seasons / Spirit DAY 7 - Birth / Death

The "break day" is an experiment this year. The man behind the curtain of this account (@halogalopaghost) is an individual with multiple chronic illnesses that make events of endurance like these difficult to participate in. I want others to have the opportunity to take a rest, enjoy everyone else's work, and maybe breathe new life into something that was made last year, etc.

What a week! The third installment of Nintendo's Tomodachi series, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, was announced for release in 2026. Sunrise on the Reaping, the newest book in Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games series, continues to hold you in its ban—it's not often we get a book character on this list. Go Haymitch! The Batman fandom seems to be having a busy time, and in a little battle of Robins, Jason Todd takes the lead ahead of Dick Grayson. Over at the 118, Eddie and Buck remain apart for now, and Buddie shippers are filling in the blanks on their own time. Good for you!
