Fuck what if Fem!Al instead when everyone gets ready to welcome Lucifer into the hotel:

"OH! What in the un-holy hell is that!?" Exclaimed the King of Hell, gesturing to the ugly-looking bar.

"Ahem."

The soft clearing of a voice directs Lucifer's eyes towards a tall woman in red standing near Angel Dust. Her eyes are looking anywhere else but the King, drumming her long claw-like nails on her radio cane.

"Just some of the renovations we had done. Adds a bit of color, don't you think?"

Lucifer stares at the woman as she hums a soft tune to herself. He can't say he's seen so much red on someone before. It wasn't too bad on her, contrary to that, she's drop-dead gorgeous! Like, down-right sexy, like wow! He's glad he isn't saying this all out loud, that would be so embarrassing. But she's so beautiful and... wait, she's gone-

"Alice! A pleasure to be meeting you, quite a pleasure!" He jumped and spun around, staring straight at her breasts. He's breathless when she leans closer, then jerks as she grabs his apple cane and shakes it like it's his hand. His hat tips forward at the harsh moment. The fallen angel almost growls at such a rude display, but suddenly he's face to face with the woman, seeing her ruby red eyes gleam with playfulness and mischief, holding the lip of his hat out of his eyes for him to see her grin.

"My, I must say, Your Majesty, you are quite short in real life." It was a jab, but Lucifer did not catch it, too enraptured by the woman's closeness, feeling her breath caress his lips. He knows he must be blushing up a storm, as red as her outfit.

He needs to say something. Say something cool!

He blurts, "A part of me isn't so short, if you know what I mean~"

"Ohhh." Cooed Angel, raising their eyebrows in interest.

But Alice had a look of pure disgust, grin growing strained and eyes crinkling at the edges. She pulls down Lucifer's hat and the shorter man yelps, vision once again blocked by his hat.

Alice wipes her hand on the front of her blouse. "King or not King, the dirt you walk on clings to your boots to remind you of how much muck you track on the surface." She sneers, walking away from Lucifer as he frantically pulls his hat out of his face, "I suggest you wipe your feet on the mat thoroughly before walking in here like you own the place, Sire."

phone calls with suguru geto are something else.

he's the type to constantly tease you throughout the call, saying its the thing he looks forward to or that it makes his entire day. but make a threat to end it? he's already apologizing and ready to spam call you back.

he'll always have his headphones or earbuds in, and if not, it'll never be on speaker but rather up against his ear. he'd much rather have your cute voice play so close to his senses- its not everyday (it is) when he gets to hear your voice this close to his ear!! plus, these calls are just for him. he can't go around and blast it out to everyone, can he?

and you were the complete opposite. you preferred to have him on speaker, imitating him being in the same room as you even though he physically wasnt. (really, it was because having his smooth voice played so intimately against your ear, it never allowed you to focus, so this was the best option).

and suguru hated that.

he'd call your name so sweetly, saying "come closer to the mic, bring your face closer to the phone". you're confused by his actions but you dont question it, following his request. "closer", and you're picking up your phone. "closer", and you have to switch out of speaker. at this point your lips are practically kissing the mic, "this good?", and his breathless "yeah, keep me here," makes you go red, sputtering out a "you're so strange" but not going against his wish. (he'll always respond with "i can hear you smiling through the phone, have i got you flustered?")

he's the type to constantly make you laugh on call, or asking you to repeat his name over and over again. again, you're confused but it's not a hard ask. turns out, he just really likes your laugh, and says that whenever you say his name (and specifically just his), you have some type of sing-songy way of saying it. (you were embarrassed and refused to say his name for a while, and he couldnt help but mope and beg (!) that whole week)

he'll also listen to all of your requests, picking up phone calls even when it's inconvenient for him. when you just want someone to make white noise while you study? he'll go on and on about one of his past missions, or future works. want to share your recent obsession with minesweeper? he has zero clue how it works, but is already on the website, listening attentively to each of your explanations and instructions. even when you text him "i wanna watch Your Name :(", he'll respond just as fast saying "well then i'll have it pulled up just for you :)"

there was this one time when you wanted to know what it was like to be called petnames. all your friends were in relationships, but you've yet to find your own special person, falling behind on some special milestones. so, who better to ask than your best friend suguru! you tried to be subtle about it, saying, "hey sugu, could you please pronounce that one ingredient you use for baking and is sweet?". and whos he to deny you?

"uhm, sugar?"

and that was enough to have you cheesing, lightly flushed as youre saying "yea that was perfect, thanks". but it's such a shame to end it there, when you just got a taste! a little later, you'll ask him to say it again, and when he goes "what, you want me to call you sugar?". youre a stuttering mess, spitting out 'no's as if youre baffled at the idea of it (but really, youre too shocked on how fast he caught on). "no? alright, whatever you want, sugar" (its embarrassing how fast you press the mute button just to scream)

he's the type to only use his phone primarily just to call you. he just cant help but want you to be by his side 24/7, and if he refuses to hang up even when it gets late into the night, dont worry about falling asleep on him. he's content with just hearing your breath over the phone, and isnt worried about the other notifications bothering his screen when hes on call with you.

i know you're a ONE-centric blog now but just wanted to drop it and say that i was looking for bkdk metas and yours came up and i LOVED it !!!!!! only been in the mha fandom for 3 years, but you've stuck by bkdk since 2018 + i hope you feel rewarded by everything that's happened since ! all the older bkdk fans got the last laugh <33 (again dont post this on your blog since its not really an 'ask' but hope this made you smile + feel some sort-of nostalgia, have a great day !!!)

Ahaha, oh anon~ So you've noticed. ;) (And no worries, there's no need to hide it; I'm fine with sharing!) I'm guessing you found one of those old anon-asks I answered back in 2018? Cause in truth my faith in bkdk had already been fully invested since 2016, but I secretly kept it to myself (for obvious fandom hell reasons) til I could no longer hold back my feelings anymore, and began posting here in 2017 with some of my first metas for them. And since then *insert serious Woody voice* oh yes I've always stuck by and seen ev-ry-thing~

This is what I had already long concluded and confessed back then:

I’ve come to an educated decision pertaining to what’s been narratively invested from the start – a core direction of the series actually, and from this I’ve found one of the most fascinating, complex, and rewarding character-relationship dynamics I’ve seen. Damn I’m sold.

And now? AND NOW?? What does it FEEL like? To be rewarded for that long term patience and receive precisely what I'd signed up for? Ohum~ It feels like purring behind a pleased smile, chilling back with some of the most refined scalding hot darjeeling tea.....to have simply enjoyed this ride and trusted in Hori (not the western fandom) and my own reading preferences from the start. To be constantly fed his slow-cooked, full course meals without ever needing to ask for anything more? Cause there's really no need! Everything came to those who waited. Hah....(yes the signs were there all along for those who chose to look and read his work for themselves) it feels so correct to have chosen Kacchan as a favorite and follow how his complex canon relationship with Deku would develop from their deliberately rocky beginnings. I am so glad for the journey to get here. :')) I can only wish Hori the best to finally stick the landing and conclude his series in a way he feels satisfied with!

i know i got to stop wasting my free time thinking and go back to listening. however, before i do that theres only one thought i really need to put somewhere so lets go i'll make it quick

i just wanna talk about the confession arthur made about the cannibalism that happened in the dreamlands

im not going to talk about the faustian bargain, im not going to talk about how great was the choice of cannibalism since the act of eating meat is well known when it comes to representing earthly desires, and im not going to talk about how they made the value of this exchange very clear with not only john's suffering but also how arthur looks back at it. yeah, i wanna talk about it, its beautifully written! but i wont because i said this would be quick

my favorite part, the chosen one to stop me from talking about the faustian bargain, is the wonderful "twist" that was made to this relatively common narrative moment, and what it says about john and arthur!!!

it was not that difficult to guess arthur had to resort to killing someone, not only because of the nature of that prison but also because they were calling that piece of bone they had by a very specific human name (otherwise that would be so funny lmao) but i hadnt really given a thought about what that meant to john with his ability to see peoples death, so that surprised me

its obvious that his ability is directly connected with humaneness, theres no way to make it clearer than the fact that john started to have it after arthur's coma (or that it literally makes an immortal being experience death). but arthur being the responsible one for that death just adds so much to it

and once again i could go on and on about how thats (to me) similar to a bunch of other events in the story where arthurs perspective of humans doesnt match his own actions, and how the consequences of some of his choices help john to experience humanity, but i wont, because i said it would be quick

arthur lied to john because he wanted to be extra cruel while killing that man, and then john was the one who was forced to empathize with him, reliving that death thousands of times. and the unnecessary cruelness arthur chose had its weight

in my opinion, as we can see with larson too, arthurs regret about his daughter is currently being coped through lashing out at anyone who commits any sin that comes any close to resembling his mistake. arthur judges john for killing in a non-reactive way, saying those are the acts of a monster, but hes starting to find ok to do something that fits the same classification, as long as he sees this specific fault in the person

and its funny because they had their most recent fight precisely because john also killed someone (two people actually) in a non-reactive way and arthur reminded him of it

i think theres a lot of potential around this. i hope that now that john is back this also turns around and john receives an opportunity to question arthurs choice about faust (and the wish to kill larson too i guess). knowing john itll probably be quite different from the way arthur did it, he'll probably be trying to help arthur to think straight about what hes doing, but that just makes it more interesting tbh

delighted that i'm so much more fond of chuuya at this point than i was just a couple years ago. it took the stormbringer play, the cannibalism play, and the fifteen manga (still haven't gotten to those two novels in their entirety, I Will Soon I Promise), it took 6ish+ years, but i can confidently say I Get It Now. Now i just need asagiri to break him (affectionate) in the manga and actually give him a character arc already <333
