The sun may have been shining out in the desert, but here in Sanden...there was the strong, central sliver of light that beamed down from the world above, highlighting a city surrounded on all sides by rock, with a near-unbroken ceiling far above. Layer after layer of the ancient stone had been hewn away long ago, creating walkways and staircases long-rubbed smooth from so many generations.

And of course, this city in the desert- one of the few saving graces of the unforgiving heat- was home to a not-so-small population. The city stretched for many miles into the mountainous rock, sand attempting- but never quite succeeding- in infiltrating the deepest depths of the space.

A few civilians glanced the newcomer's way. While many didn't know the names of more than fifty or so of their fellow inhabitants- it still wasn't hard to spot the ebony outsider. Multiple eyes flickered to this stranger as he stepped into the hidden depths, from children, to adults, to guards...

One such mobian had glanced the hedgehog's(?) way upon his arrival, grinning inwardly at the sight of an easy mark. They flicked their tail, a forked tongue snapping out of their mouth for a second to taste the air.

"Hello, fair sir!" The mobian greeted, sky-blue eyes sparkling. They gestured with a hand towards their wares- a grand assortment of fruit. "Would you care for a snack? Only ten rings a piece!"

(re)watched kung fu panda for my dreamworks tier list today. absolutely fucking fantastic movie. the only reason it's not going in the top tier of my list is because the series as a whole never had that sort of spark that made it one of my big favorites, but it's still a really great movie and a top 10 dreamworks movie for sure. i love how even though the theme of adoption is very much in the background in the first movie, we still have this contrast between po as the adoptive son of mr. ping and tai lung as the adoptive son of shifu--where mr. ping fully accepted po for who he was even if it meant he wouldn't be taking over the family business, shifu had pushed his own expectations for becoming the dragon warrior onto tai lung. and i adore the movie's message that to make something special, you just have to believe it's special. it's so good, and also it's just a beautifully animated movie too. i haven't watched kung fu panda 2 in years and i remember liking it just as much as if not even better than the first one, so i can't wait to watch it.

HI so like a normal person, I input 21 options of pokeani characters into a spinner wheel and spun it twice for the most random thing I could get. At first I got Serena and herself which won't work, and so I spun AGAIN and got May and Drew which is just the wheel and also God or perhaps the devil himself targeting me specifically, so I ignored it, so I spun AGAIN and got Dawn and Clemont. No on screen exchanges BUT through the web of "Dawn was a pokemon clothing designer and Lumiose has those fancy ass clothes shops", I guess they could meet that way??? Feel free to disregard but this has been my journey and I must share. Am I particularly invested in Dawn and Clemont? No, but the wheel said so, and who am I to question the wheel? Again, feel free to ignore lol

hi i LOVE this method (i also love that it gave you specifically may and drew. they will always be with you <3). serena selfcest is not one i’ve considered before but i will raise you it isn't entirely IMpossible because of that mirror world episode where there was an alternate dimension serena who bullied ash and made fun of him for being a crybaby or whatever? and actually i think i would love to see her with our own beloved regular dimension serena after serena’s big showcase loss and subsequent dramatic haircut. i think that would be incredibly chaotic and i live for chaos. but i digress

ok i have to confess dawn and clemont are both big faves of mine and i also think they both individually are relatively gay-coded (not literally but like. To Me). so i can’t see it at all yet simultaneously i’m so suddenly obsessed with the concept that i’m going to force myself to see it. i’m imagining this as like, dawn being a big name fashion designer and serena and bonnie being really like WE NEED TO GO SEE HER FASHION SHOW or something and clemont’s just along for the ride but dawn’s style turns out to be all kinds of intriguing to him because as it turns out they have similar outlandish ways of Thinking about things. i'm not sure how he could possibly infer this from her clothes (which...in the actual anime look very Normal, not all that outlandish at all. LMAO. but shh). in a way she becomes like a Muse to him...inspiring all kinds of explosive inventions. they'd have this like...he refuses to actually Meet her because it'd ruin the illusion thing but when they actually do meet she would be very flattered, probably a bit embarrassed, and then she'd 180 and be like what the FUCK do you mean i inspired 2734574839 inventions that aLL EXPLODED???? she'd be on a Mission to get his life under control. it's all very romantic because somehow she would directly help him create a non-exploding invention and in the process they would experience so many explosions together and he would see her frizzed-up hair that she's so self-conscious about and he'd think she looked Lovely like that and he'd be so, like, earnest about it that she would come to enjoy the explosions...uh, metaphorically speaking, at least

all the while, bonnie and serena are completely shocked that this world-renowned fashion designer is hanging around the lumiose gym, but hey. as long as they're having fun???

Casting Call for @spacecadet-sims' Double Shot At Love: Beguiling the Heirs

Atticus and Imogen Gryswald are world-renown philanthropists who, up until now, have spent their time leading fast-paced, free-wheeling lives without too much of a care for finding steadiness and security (outside of monetarily).

The elder Grywalds have had enough of the near-scandal filled escapades of their darling twins, however, and have offered them an ultimatum: find spouses or be disinherited.

But where's the fun in doing anything traditionally?

I'm looking for 14 sims to fill this double shot at love challenge; 7 for Atticus and 7 for Imogen. This will be mostly story-based with some gameplay sprinkled throughout.

Applications may be submitted from now until July 8th at 11:59 pm. I'm making the application process long because I work a full-time job, and mother a toddler in most of my downtime. I have some time off work over the holiday, so I'd like to gather my submissions during that time. :)

Quick FAQs from my last attempt at this challenge:

Can we submit more than one sim? Yes. There's not a guarantee that both will be chosen, but please feel free to submit two unrelated sims, friends, siblings, exes, etc.

Do entries need to be wealthy? No! Potential admirers can be from any socioeconomic background. The Gryswalds do not worry for wealth, and would take care of a spouse who does.

Will this be scripted? Partially! I will be taking some liberties with conversations, personalities or reactions to things. I’ll do my best to not make the contestants too out of character. I won’t be controlling the contestants beyond instructing them to complete a task when it’s needed or to pose them. I won’t initiate intimacy unless the heirs whims include it. If they’re prompted into intimacy by contestants, especially on dates, I’ll likely let it happen.

Will this be NSFW? It could be! I'll try not to show anything too graphic, but there could be instances of intimacy.

How will eliminations be conducted? Eliminations will be based on relationship levels within the romance and friendship bars. If there’s a tie, it’ll go to whoever is more attracted to the heirs. If attraction is also a tie, I’ll either use WheelDecide or ask the audience. I’ll likely ask the audience for other reasons as well.

Limitations on CC? I’d prefer you kept away from alpha hair and eye CC (as I have a preference), but all other CC is fine and accepted. I have all packs, except the most recent couple and Batuu.

the next movie i watched for my dreamworks tier list was flushed away. i remember seeing this movie as a kid and just kind of being disgusted by it because gross-out toilet humor is really not my thing, and yeah, many parts of the movie were hard for me to get through because of that lmao. it doesn't help that i also found this movie's brand of very frequent slapstick humor to be more cringe-inducing than funny.

i honestly really dislike how the movie looks visually too. i'm already not a big fan of aardman's style, personally, but i respect claymation as a craft and the way chicken run is animated (can't speak for wallace and gromit because i haven't seen it since i was a kid) makes it look pretty nice. i think the problem with this movie is that they stuck with their usual art style but did it in CGI instead and it just... does not work imo.

i think the one thing that keeps me from filing flushed away under "awful" is that i liked roddy and rita a little more than expected. they're not really anything special, imo, but they could be kinda fun to watch and were certainly more tolerable and developed than shark tale's characters. but yeah, i still just thought this movie was bad. next i'm going to watch trolls band together, which hopefully i'll have fun with, and then onto more probable torture with... *spins wheel* oh boy. turbo. can't wait.

MIGUEL: he’s at a 45 daring right now! mid level, not too crazy. he’s pretty careful: likes to plan, stay within his wheelhouse, do his research. and then you have random outbursts of Batshit Energy from the most normal man in existence: fighting the regene, tailing HG, the works.

28 what do they find attractive in others? what’s a turn-off?

MIRIAM: this one is only capable of falling in love with people under incredibly distressing circumstances. so traits that come with being good in a crisis: resourcefulness. adaptability. a level of compassion. absolutely bonkers amounts of loyalty.

a turn off, hmm… rose-coloured glasses, especially when they’re pointed at her. fine, fine, think what you want about the world but she doesn’t like the feeling of inevitably disappointing someone. also on the person’s end, it speaks to a level of naïveté and unwillingness to analyze that is for sure going to grate after a while. (she even yells at julia about it bc For Real you know better than that!!!)

35 if they could have any other superpower, what would they choose?

ELMO: flying. freedom and movement and not having to be Stuck Somewhere if they don’t want to be—.they just think it’s cool. yes they’re scared of heights but only when they don’t have control! barring that: teleportation. never be late again—they yell at ricardo about it, but only bc he’s somehow always later than they are.

Townie Makeovers 6 of 6

Okay, for the last makeover I put worlds/packs that shipped with townies onto WheelDecide, and it gave me Mt Komorebi.

Then I put all teen - elder townies from that world on the wheel, and the Sim to make over was:

I honestly haven't done much of anything with the Mt Komorebi Sims before, so he was a definite change.

Tbh i only really got the idea to draw this because i realized that basil is the only white character in the main cast (....i think, idk what aubrey is but i personally believe she's korean because she reminds me of abby from turning red)

Oh yeah and just to make things clear, i had the idea for this drawing and put it into my wheeldecide art idea wheel LONG BEFORE the melon kid situation. Believe me, i'm still a bit shaken up by that whole mess (not to mention i'm experiencing a bit of cognitive dissonance considering i've defended omocat for the more stupid reasons people called her out on in the past) but just know that my general opinion of the whole thing is TREAT YOUR WORKERS WITH RESPECT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
