Vibes Dream SMP members give off (in my opinion)

Dream

Barked at people in high school ironically but it became unironic real quick

Can’t cook very well but is good with a knife, especially at a fast pace

One of those kids who either purposely spells the first word wrong in a spelling bee to just be done with it right away or tries the hardest and manages to win (there is no inbetween for this heathen)

Bites ice cream with his teeth

Has snorted pixie stix far too many times and sneezed blue after each time

Eats bananas with the peels

Wears mismatched socks

Has taken a bite out of a pool noodle because he liked the texture and impulsively bit it (ADHD things✨😌)

Walks around looking extremely high but he’s just spacin out and stuck in his head

Will flirt with anything that moves but has no idea how to respond to compliments

Makes fun of himself first before anyone else can

Has eaten an orange peel and it wasn’t that bad in his humble opinion

Doesn’t actually know what genre his music taste is cause he vibes to everything

Coloured his tongue with highlighters because they’re non-toxic

I can’t imagine this man using a bike of any sort, so Imma say he doesn’t know how

Can’t be licked by dogs because he’s used to being licked by his cat so it makes him uncomfortable

Can actually sing pretty well but gets real nervous in front of people so he fucks it up

Meows at cats because he wants to confuse them and laughs Way too hard when he does (his laugh is like sunshine so I’ll allow it)

Really likes pit bulls but he’s more of a cat person so he loves them from afar

Used to or currently has a skateboard and isn’t too bad

ALWAYS has bruises appearing everywhere for no reason, he doesn’t even know where 90% of them are from

Calls his friends twinks to jokingly bully them and gets away with it because he himself is not a twink

Gets sudden bursts of energy in the middle of the night and just shimmies around a bit to try and deal with it

Always starts twitching if he stays still for too long because he’s gotta move around

Has really good hearing, both with pitch and volume

Can’t eat tomato’s by themselves, it’s either gotta be in sauce form or with something else

"You're sure he's into me?" Will asked.

Beverly crossed her arms and gave him a stern look. "Will. What was my answer the last time you asked me that exact question?"

"You said you were sure," Will said.

"And the time before that? And the fifteen times before that?" She swung her elbow into his side, nudging him.

"You said you were sure each time," he sighed. "I just... I don't want to make a fool of myself and lose a friend."

"Treat it like a crime scene," she told him. "Except instead of putting yourself in a murderer's mind, put yourself in your psychiatrist's mind. You'll see it as clearly as the rest of us do."

"I'll give it some thought," Will finally said.

He gave it some thought and a shot of whiskey before marching up to Hannibal's door. Of course the entire front steps were impeccably decorated for Halloween, with the most intricately carved pumpkins he'd ever seen. Some of them had been cut into such lacy shapes that he had no idea how they didn't fold in on themselves.

Will took a deep breath and knocked on the door. What did he have to lose except a friend and a good working relationship?

As soon as the door opened, Will barged in before Hannibal could greet him.

"Please let me just get this all out without saying anything," Will said.

Hannibal pressed his lips together and gestured for him to follow him to the kitchen.

But Will had to say everything before he lost his nerve. He stood his ground and began blathering like no man had blathered before.

"The truth is, I'd like us to be more than friends. If you don't want that, that's okay. Not that you need my permission, so what am I saying okay for? The thing is, Beverly Katz and apparently everyone else is convinced you have a thing for me---a thing? no, feelings---for me, or an attraction to me, or whatever you want to call it. Jimmy Price says you're always looking at my behind and I would normally dismiss it as maybe you were just noticing how wrinkled my trousers always are, or maybe I sat in some dog barf, or there's dog hair al over my behind, but Beverly says she's noticed it, too, and Brian Zeller agrees although he can't stand me so he might just be trying to screw me over, I don't know. I can't shut up, oh my God, I feel like I've been talking for an hour and my face is so warm, but I am interested in dating you if you're interested in also dating me, or we can just forget this ever happened, but I hope not."

Will was dimly aware of Hannibal's eyes widening the entire time he'd been talking, but now he was making an odd sort of...bubbling...gurgling noise... And his cheeks were puffing up while he was still holding his lips firmly closed.

Treat it like a crime scene.

So he tried. He tried to see himself through Hannibal's eyes at that very moment, but all he could think was that Hannibal was trying to hold back a mouthful of vomit. The gurgling, the swelling cheeks... He was revolted, but too polite to say anything.

Treat it like a crime scene? It was a crime scene: it was the murder of Will Graham.

Will barely remembered turning around and fleeing Hannibal's house, but suddenly Hannibal was chasing him.

"Please, Will, you don't understand---"

Will fumbled with his car keys. "It's okay, really. I'm going to go home and get so drunk that I forgot I ever did this and we can go back to how things were."

Hannibal grabbed him, spun him around, and kissed him hard on the lips.

Will was so surprised that it took him a few moments to taste the almost overpowering flavor of artificial grape on Hannibal's tongue.

"I was embarrassed," Hannibal said when he pulled back. "I didn't want you to realize the truth about me."

"W-what do you mean?" Will asked, his head swimming.

"I am addicted to what many may consider an unusual food." Here Hannibal held up an empty packet of grape-flavored Pop Rocks. "I had just poured the entire contents into my mouth when you knocked on my door."

The gurgling sound...the cheeks...

"So you weren't disgusted?" Will asked.

"Only with myself," Hannibal said, lowering his gaze.

"I understand." Will took him into the warmest embrace he could and whispered, "I'm addicted to Circus Peanuts."

INTERVIEW: STIX ZADINIA OF STEEL PANTHER

L.A. rockers Steel Panther return with their fifth studio album Heavy Metal Rules, set to be released on September 27th. Building off of a repertoire of already legendary anthems Steel Panther made sure to deliver more of the same but different tunes. RockRevolt had a chance to speak with the man behind the kit, Stix Zadinia, about the recording process for Heavy Metal Rules, playing the legendary Download Festival at Castle Donington, UK and what Stix’s parents think about their son’s career path.

RR: Being in a high profile heavy metal band has it’s benefits with money and everything else at your finger tips including women, any celebrities on that list?

Stix: We keep that close to the vest. I will tell you though that every show I put Charlize Theron on my guest list. She has a standing invitation to our show because I’m in love with her. Whether or not she’s in the country it doesn’t matter she goes on Steel Panther’s guest list. I’d like to use this opportunity as an open invitation to Charlize, come chill with me.

Let me know what show she’s going to be at as she’s on my list as well. On a more serious note I’m sure you guys take yourselves very serious being great musicians. With that being said what does it mean to you that the Grammy’s have considered Steel Panther for the best comedy album category?

I’ll tell you what, it’s interesting because what we do is we take not being serious very seriously. If we got attention for being a comedy band I don’t really give a fuck as long as people are listening to us. It doesn’t matter what category people would consider us because at the end of the day we make music for people who dig fucking heavy metal, who dig having a good time, who just want to rock. I highly doubt that we would end up even getting nominated for a Grammy, it just feels like Steel Panther is super not Grammy. But if they want to put us in a comedy category it wouldn’t matter to me. I wouldn’t be offended by it at all, I’d be down.

It’s pretty fucking cool just to be in that conversation, right?

Yeah to be recognized by anyone, a kid down the street at his house to dig Steel Panther or the Grammy’s that would be cool too. The whole goal for us is to have people pay attention and listen to what we do and dig it.

Well there’s no doubt people are listening as your fanbase continues to grow. Let’s talk about the new album Heavy Metal Rules which seems to have a heavier edge to it. Can you take us behind the scenes and review what the writing process is like and is there a primary band member these creative ideas come from?

I would say Satchel our guitar player is our main writer. The guy is a freak in the best way. The first time he and I jammed together both of us went ok there’s something that happened here between the two of us musically that we just clicked. He comes up with a lot of ideas, I’ll send him riff ideas. I’ll send him song title ideas. The song “Fuck Everybody” for instances was Satchel and I backstage at the House of Blues in Cleveland and one of us was serious and said fuck everybody! Someone else said everyone can suck my dick. Then I said what if that’s a song and he comes up with a riff right on the spot. He has an acoustic guitar backstage. And then goes dude check it out, that was the germ of that song. For us on this record in particular as opposed to say the first record. The first record for us we wanted to really define Steel Panther, it’s your first record you want to make a real clear fucking impression. We put out Feel the Steel and it had songs and elements of all the cool shit that 80’s metal could offer. I feel like on this record I don’t think we rested on any of our laurels. I feel like we pushed the fucking envelop and we wrote songs and recorded songs that stretched our sound musically and it’s fucking exciting man. I mean a song like “I’m Not Your Bitch” is one of the heaviest things we’ve ever done. It’s fun to be at this point in our career where we can put out a fifth record and it sounds like Steel Panther but it doesn’t sound like shit that we’ve done before. I feel like people will be like fuck man they keep staying fresh because it doesn’t sound like another album of the same shit. It’s the same shit but it’s different.

I completely agree, when I was listening to the album, I took from it right away that it’s heavier. Just like you said it’s different but it’s still Steel Panther. That’s important for a band with an identity, you don’t want to stray too far from that but make it different enough that it doesn’t sound like you’re repeating yourselves. Now on your new record is there a track that stands out for you or more specific one that showcases Stix? Maybe a track that was challenging for you?

Oh man, you know “I’m Not Your Bitch” is one of those songs where in the chorus it has that syncopated riff with some double kick in it. That was a little challenging to make it feel good and right. That’s what you’re trying to do when you record an album, capture that fucking lightning in a bottle and get the right feel. We don’t fix shit and make it perfect. We keep it rock intentionally, it’s important to us because that’s how our favorite records were recorded and sometimes it’s a little bit off, but off in a way that makes you feel good. We try to record the songs from top to bottom instead of sections because if you record it in parts it can feel sterile. When you play it top to bottom there’s that dynamic flow that happens that you won’t get if you do it in sections. For us we just try to perform the best we can on the record and try to capture what we think is super fucking cool.

What do you have upcoming tour wise?

We are doing an album release party at the Whiskey (in L.A.) on the 26th I believe of September and we’re going to have our friends in this band California play with us. Our tour manager Joe Lester is actually in the band so that’s exciting for us. Then we are going to do Sammy Hagar’s Beach Festival two days later at Huntington Beach. Then we start the Heavy Metal Rules Tour in the states in October for about two and a half weeks on the east coast. Come home then more touring in the states in November and December. Then we have some special shit we have not announced for the beginning of the year that I can’t quite say yet because we like to keep shit top secret.

Glad you guys are hitting up the east coast, I’ll see you at the Portland, ME stop.

We love coming to the east coast. Portland is great, Boston is fucking amazing. There’s a lot of rock and roll fans on the east coast. It’s always exciting for us to go there accept when it’s in the dead of winter. You guys have cold fucking winters. But we’ll warm it up, we’ll bring the heat.

I caught you guys at Download Festival (UK) in 2012 and 2014, it’s just an amazing festival. What’s it like playing in front of 100,000 people? It’s got to be unbelievable, a complete mind fuck.

Ok I’m going to tell you how it is. Imagine being on stage in front of 100,000 people. That’s exactly how it is (both of us laughing). There is no fucking analogy that you can give to someone to make it feel any cooler. It’s fucking scary, it’s exhilarating, it’s fucking crazy. I’ll tell you this there have been moments, I think it happens every time we do a festival. Just going back to Download, yes everybody in the states needs to go to Download, there’s a few festivals in the world that really stand out to me. Download is one of them, Wacken is one of them, Hellfest is one of them. There are a few festivals that there are so many people it’s unbelievable, you have to go to experience it. When we’re playing “Community Property” and you have 100,000 people singing “Community Property” all at the same time I’ve gotten fucking choked up. I don’t cry at movies, that’s not my shit. I’m trying to sound macho I just don’t really get effected like that but when I fucking see and hear and feel all those people doing the same thing at the same time and it’s because of something that I was a part of creating I’ve fucking gotten choked up.

It’s unbelievable just being in the crowd. And it makes sense there is no analogy that can describe it. Of course at the 2012 Download Festival Cory Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) joined you on stage, you’re know to have a lot of special guests participate. Is there someone on the list you’d love to have play with you that has not already?

Oh man I’d like to have Lady Gaga come up. I think it would be fucking cool to have Lady Gaga come up. We’ve had Pink come up so I can’t say her or else I would say her again because she’s fucking amazing. Man we’ve had so many of my fucking favorites up with us. It’s like a hard question to answer because I can’t think of people I haven’t jammed with. We’ve had Jerry Cantrell and Tom Morello, Sebastian Bach, Kip Winger, a bunch of people man. We are very, very fortunate that people are down to get up and rock with us.

Is there one of your headline shows that stands out?

Yeah, Wembley Arena. When you go to Wembley and headline they give you a plaque that says congratulations you made it. When you pull up to the arena and get out of the bus, you park underneath of the arena, and I see all the people putting the show together – the stage, lights and the sound, all those people are doing that because of this thing that we created. It’s intense. Then you do that show, headline show of 12,000 people it’s pretty unbelievable.

What does Mr. & Mrs. Zdinia, your parents think of how and what Stix is doing these days?

I’ll tell you what pops Zdinia is very proud. And mom, I think they’re proud of their boy. Look it’s not lost on me being able to fucking rock and roll for a living is a rare opportunity. It’s not something that you can apply for. You don’t work your way up the corporate ladder to do. I feel like I was born to do and they feel like I was born to do it. I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. And I think that they’re really happy that I’m not in a gutter somewhere.

Let me ask you this, if you weren’t a Trump fan before did you become one after it came out about his locker room banter about grabbing her by the pussy was revealed? What is your take of the man in the Oval Office?

You know what I tend to stay away from that shit. You know why, I don’t get involved in that because the moment you say some shit 50% of the people are going to go fuck you. My station in life is to provide good fucking rock and roll.

Bagginshield #2 - cuddling somewhere

Rating: G Summary: for the 30 Day OTP Challenge. Thorin is afraid of heights and alone on a Ferris wheel. Bilbo helps out. AU - Modern Setting.

If there was one thing Thorin was a sucker for, then that thing would be his nephews. Tonight he was at a carnival. Where there were rides, and games, and fun, and people, and his being at said carnival had everything to do with him being a sucker. For his nephews. And Dís. Who had shoved her seven and nine year old boys at him with a hissed, "make them happy."

The "or pay" was unspoken.

The worst part about the carnival wasn't even all the screaming children, or the strange fascination with fried sugar...no, it was definitely the rides.

"C'mon, it's just a Ferris wheel," whined Kili. "You already won't let us go on the Barrel Rider."

"Because it's a death trap."

"Urgh, we've ridden like one thing!" Fili groaned.

"Tea cups!" Kili reminded them all.

"So lame."

The problem was that Thorin would not let them go on the rides alone. Overprotective of him? Maybe, but he wasn’t budging on it. The boys had therefore harassed him all night about the supposed lack of thrills. Even after he'd got them each a treat called Fried Surprise– and if that wasn't thrilling he didn't know what was. Kids these days.

The point was, Thorin did not want to go on the Ferris wheel and he hadn't wanted to go on the spinning crockery either. But he'd made sacrifices. He'd soldiered on. And...it looked like he was going to have to do it again, because Kili had started to cry. “Make them happy!” Dís screeched in his head. Damn.

"Fine, fine," he said, and the tears abruptly stopped. "You...." Fooled again. "Fine."

"Yay!" Kili chirped. "I want to sit in the red car!" He tore off with Fili hot on his heels and Thorin having to power-walk after them. His stomach was already sinking.

The line wasn't too long and they managed to wind their way to the front in ten minutes. When they reached the ride operator, he halted them there while the wheel turned until the little seats were aground. Thorin took a fortifying breath.

"Two to a seat," the operator told them, letting Fili and Kili run toward a red car. Thorin sat in the one behind them, his heart beating wildly in his chest, and he closed his eyes as the other cars filled up. This was going to be awful, he just knew it.

Something dropped into his lap.

"Hold this," said a curly haired man. He stood in front of the empty seat beside Thorin, shuffling through an overflowing backpack. The bag in his lap smelled like candy floss.

"Uh– "

"Thanks," said the man, before sitting down beside Thorin. He didn't take the bag out of Thorin's lap, and instead sighed heavily.

"Please pull the bar down until you hear it lock into place!" The operator yelled over the excited squeaks of dozens of children. Thorin looked around wildly.

"Budge up." The curly haired man was staring at him, tugging at the bar that was blocked by Thorin's arms. Thorin was surprised to find that he was hugging the stranger's bag for dear life.

The bar pressed down and clicked into place. Thorin's eyes widened as the wheel moved forward and he saw his nephew's feet rise from the ground.

"Whoo hoo!" shouted the children, Kili being the loudest.

His stomach swooped as they rose into the air, and he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, counting to ten in his head as they reached the top and came to a stop.

"Uncle! Uncle!"

Thorin turned instinctively toward the sound, but saw that it was not his nephews calling. Instead, it was two curly haired boys about the same age as Kili and Fili in the car in front of them.

"Uncle, look how high we are!" shouted the little dark haired one.

The stranger next to him looked down. "Wow, amazing," he agreed, and then muttered so only Thorin could hear, "oh my god when will this end."

Thorin wanted to respond with something grumpily commiserating, but he was pretty sure that if he opened his mouth his lunch would just come spewing out. He swallowed painfully.

Thorin startled a bit when the curly haired man grabbed up the bag he had so unceremoniously dropped into Thorin's lap before. He was even more bemused when the man opened it up and pulled out a stuffed toy.

"Here, hold this."

He shoved the toy into Thorin's arms. This...this was...what?

"What is it?" he blurted, confused.

The man gave him a look that said 'really?'

"It's a bunny," he replied, waving at it.

"I know...that."

"You don't like heights, do you?"

Was Thorin that obvious? Well that was humiliating. The wheel started to move again. "Whoa, whoa! Oh no," Thorin moaned.

"Quick, cuddle it."

"W-what?"

"Cuddle the damn bunny."

Thorin cuddled it until the wheel stopped. He took a deep, slightly shaky breath. "I'm hugging a stuffed toy," he whimpered.

"Could always be worse. Hey. Are those yours?"

Fili and Kili were rocking their car back and forth, laughing uproariously. Thorin gazed at them, aghast.

"Fili! Kili!" he tried to shout, but only croaked. "Stop that dangerous thing right now."

"Aw, we're fine, Uncle Thorin!" Kili said, looking up at him. "I like your green car!" He yelled up at the curly haired boy.

"Thanks! We wanted the blue."

Thorin and the stranger were in the blue car, and he wondered if he'd made enemies of these curly creatures. His stomach turned and he did his best impression of Lamaze breathing.

"Thorin, huh? I'm Bilbo," said the stranger. "That one is Frodo, my nephew, and his sensible friend Sam. The bunny's name is Number 212."

"It's...what?"

"212." Bilbo looked him in the eyes. "It's my nephew's 212th stuffed animal. I know. I count them. They're all over my house."

"I...understand." And Thorin did. His nephew and his sister lived with him and so did all their crap, after all. He looked down at Number 212. "She's soft."

"I won her after thirty minutes of throwing balls into holes, so she’d better be." Bilbo sat back in his seat and rubbed his eyes. "All I want is a nap right now. And tea. Tea, silence, and sleep." The curly haired boys were now rocking their car back and forth too. "No, maybe whiskey. So much whiskey."

Thorin couldn't help but smile. "Vodka with a twist."

"I'll take it. I'd honestly drink jet fuel, right now."

"Don't like carnivals?"

Bilbo gave him that look again. "What, do you?"

The Ferris wheel was moving again, and they were going backward quite fast and then swooping toward the ground. They rose back up to hoots and hollers and Thorin moaned dismally until the ride came to another harrowing stop. The bunny was smooshed in his arms.

"Poor Number 212, I think you've smothered her. How long have you been acrophobic?"

Thorin licked his lips. "Since I was a kid."

"Sorry, that can't be fun," said the man, and surprisingly he sounded sincere. "I'm afraid of cats."

"Are you serious?"

"Yep, hate them. The big vacant eyes and the claws and the...meowing. Scares me to death. And hey, I didn't laugh at your heights thing!"

And Thorin really was laughing. "Yeah, but, being afraid of heights is normal. Cats...not so much."

"Whatever. Oi! I saw that Frodo Baggins."

Bilbo’s nephew had apparently just tossed Thorin's nephew some contraband, which he didn't catch and which was now scattered somewhere on the ground. Oh god, don't look down. It looked like a handful of pixy stix and Thorin was glad it hadn’t reached its destination. His boys had already eaten their weight in sugar.

"Kids," Bilbo muttered.

"Yours are as bad as mine," Thorin said sympathetically. "I didn't think they had equals– oh shit."

The wheel was moving backward and doing it's swooping thing again, and then...sweet Jesus, they were done. Thorin was so intent on getting out of his seat that he flailed uselessly at the bar holding them back, until Bilbo took over with a laugh and freed them.

"Please exit the ride in an orderly fashion," said the operator, just as Thorin shot passed him and stumbled off of the platform. Fili and Kili toddled along behind him.

The dirt ground had never felt so good, and if he was a lesser man he might have kissed it.

"I like your bunny, Uncle Thorin," Fili sniggered, and that was when he noticed that he was still holding onto the stuffed animal for dear life.

Thorin looked around for the curly haired man, who he spotted coming toward them, his nephew and the sensible friend hanging off of his arms.

"Well that was fun," Bilbo said dryly. "You can keep her if you want."

"Um." He looked at the toy. "No, uh, that's ok. I–"

"Barr-el ri-der, barr-el ri-der, barr-el ri-der!" his nephews and Bilbo's nephews (all the nephews) had started to chant.
