why did the men of type o negative feel the need to include songs such as machine screw, sinus, liver and lung on their albums?

you wanna know what i want to hear? peter (and kenny’s) beautiful voices as they sing about heartbreak and sadness/anger/betrayal. what i don’t want to hear is 1+ minutes of girls moaning, someone snorting coke, drinking and smoking while ominous screams, crying and sirens are heard in the background.

i get it’s peter’s story (i think) and represents his (and maybe other members’s) struggles with drugs and alcohol but they made sinus, liver and lung so fucking scary 😭
