he says i hate everyone except you and that is addictive and that is kind of romantic and beautiful because you're young and you're kind of a sarcastic asshole too and you don't like bad boys, per say, but you don't really like good ones either. and you like that you were the exception, it felt like winning.
except life is not a romance book, and he was kind of being honest. he doesn't learn to be nice to your friends. he only tolerates your family. you have to beg him to come with you to birthday parties, he complains the whole time. you want to go on a date but - people are often there, wherever you're going. he's just so angry. about everything, is the thing. in the romance book, doesn't he eventually soften? can't you teach him, through your own sense of whimsy and comfort?
at first - you know introverts often need smaller friend groups, and honestly, you're fine staying at home too. you like the small, tidy life you occupy. you're not going to punish him for his personality type.
except: he really does hate everyone but you. which means he doesn't get along with his therapist. which means he has no one to talk to except for you. which means you take care of him constantly, since he otherwise has no one. which means you sometimes have to apologize for him. which means he keeps you home from seeing your friends because he hates them. you're the single exception.
about a decade from this experience, you'll type into google: how to know if a relationship is codependent.
he wraps an arm around you. i hate everyone except you. these days, you're learning what he's actually confessing is i have very little practice being kind.

this game- you cant just put my type in front of me and then take him away!!!!!!
heres to hoping that his corpse is not found and the game is like "haha hes actually not dead!! he was just severely wounded and was kidnapped by the sus group that mc encountered beforehand! and now that group is holding him against his will and you have to save him!!!"
no for real i hope that happens because my god. that childhood friends trope is really hitting now. (i know we have zayne but caleb??? the banter??? the potential for a love triangle?? HELLO???) it would make sense right? no way the game is just gonna spring a death this early on us for no reason right??? plus hes in deepsace aviation, a top secret supee dangerous organization, it would make sense for that sus group, whatever their intentions are, to kidnap a member of that group to extract info and make him work for them...
also!!! maybe i am hallucinating and reading too much but did anyone else think that caleb has somewhat of a crush on mc because that line... "you wouldnt understand even if i told you" and his sadness when mc wont trust him and wont let him protect her... gdi game.
yes i am coping hard. please game dont do this....

One of the funniest things ( to me ) with your Vast Avatar tma sona is the fact that it's in reality a Vast/Buried Avatar
Avatars depend more on the nature of the fear than the ocean. For example, if you see bones, that is technically the Flesh, but if what scares you us the way the person died/the fact that they are dead, its not.
And ( this is shown a but further in s5 ) drowning is associated more with the Buried than the Vast. Your lil guy makes me more afraid of drowning than the philosophical implications of the ocean's size.
So your Avatar is ( in my opinion ) a Buried Avatar.
Though that won't stop me from drawing the silly guy as soon as I can, he's too cute <3
HAHA technically my guy would Like to drag you down to the depths and let you reckon with the deep sea but alas most people don't make it that far. I joke about him throwing people overboard but I think they'd really enjoy more the concept of dark massive shapes swimming underneath, how unexplored the ocean is compared to space. how deep it goes. if you start sinking you might sink forever
alas! most people don't tend to consider that while fighting to breathe. Maybe i should let them torment submarine divers instead

I love your take on Crowley!
I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?
I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.
thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.
that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

"you gotta let me go, lovebug." kiyoomi rumbles, attempting to gently wiggle out of your baby's grasp. the lovebug in question only gurgles, happy to have her father's attention on her. it quirks a smile on kiyoomi's face. his amusement is short-lived, however, when the grip on his finger seemingly tightens in response and tightens even more when he wiggles just a tad harder.
his rising panic amuses you to no end.
at the sound of your quiet giggles, kiyoomi looks up from the baby cradled in your arms and looks you in the eye.
"a little help would be nice, you know?" he frowns. "our food's gonna be here any minute."
"i would love to but there's nothing i can really do when she's clinging like that, kiyo." you send him the most sympathetic smile you could muster with the laughter still bubbling up your throat. "you know how she gets."
and kiyoomi does—he really does. your daughter got it from you, after all.
