Some more information about Venezuela that I found out through one of my good friends (she’s Venezuelan, she immigrated here a few years ago and she shares a lot of stuff about what’s happening in her home country).

The Venezuelan government is imprisoning everyone who says anything against Maduro or the government in social media. People who have made videos talking about the ongoing situation are deleting them because the government is already looking for them. People who appeared in videos of the protests are being incarcerated.

Even some Venezuelans in another countries are afraid of speaking up in fear that the police will go get their families.

Maduro has decided (and is already on it) to build 2 maximum security prisons to incarcerate anyone who goes against the corrupted government and torture them. He did not build a single hospital during his presidency, but he can build 2 prisons to imprison civilians… interesting.

ive been watching dimension 20 as It released since court of fey and flowers, the season before never after. I am 'in the fandom', as in active online, much more recently. I loved acofaf, and never after, and every season since. burrow's end might be my new favorite season

anyway I started seeing stuff online about dimension 20 long after never after, a weird season I enjoyed, had concluded its run. apparently it had been advertised as a horror season and it turned into a comedy. it had its dark moments - many seasons of d20 have - but it wasn't the advertised spooky, or even that of the opening sequence. I loved it for its lore and humor. I loved burrow's end for its humor and darkness. if I wanna get scared, i'll watch the latter

WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS okay the point is that the intrepid heroes, first and foremost, make a comedy show. perhaps their approach to this season finale does not work perfectly with the overarching themes of the story. i understand disliking this. I also know that this post was going to be in defense of the bad kids because there's plenty of that to put out there but my thoughts went elsewhere. I guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm okay that the bad kids killed a bunch of their enemies and made some jokes about it. we'll see how the final episode goes with the intrepid emos

De solo leer el título acabo de recordar que Kaneki va a intentar conquistar a Touka a como dé lugar usando costumbres muy raras de los lobos. Va a rogarle, sí, definitivamente, como debe ser.

Recuerdo que estaba leyendo orgullo y prejuicio cuando empecé esto, las historias costumbristas solo hacen que quiera escribir sobre kaneki y touka viviendo en una pradera y sus trabajos del día a día (campesinos? herboristas? profesores de campo?). De hecho, cuando tenía 15 empecé algo así, pero creo que lo borré porque me parecía una tontería.

Y esto no creo que esté bien escrito, pero PERO puedo sentir el feeling (creo que no tiene sentido lo que acabo de decir), si tan solo no estuvieran con la mirada de todos encima. Y ese es solo el comienzo. Este es un: Kaneki cae primero, Touka más fuerte. Se supone que sucede en la boda, lo cual pasa en el segundo capítulo?? Claro, es un matrimonio arreglado, debe empezar por ahí.

OH, Touka ya tiene una mordida, la de su antiguo esposo, que era el primo de kaneki. Sí, un embrollo lo que hago. Un poco de negación, pero esos dos quieren besarse y prácticamente hundirse en la habitación más oscura para follar como conejos

By the way, for personal reasons (learning, possible stuff for research, and worldbuilding inspirations) I'm taking the articles from that 10.000 pages long Encyclopedia of Religion specifically about South and Central American religions and beliefs. This is because I'm something of a Latinamericanist, so to say, and I feel there is a drought of reliable sources in this topic (beliefs, spirituality and religion) that aren't so specific: what I mean is that there are lots of single papers and books about single sporadic topics, but not a general overview from the pre-columbian period to current times. I want to read about the Inca pantheon but also about afro-american religions and tupi-guaraní legends. This document I'm assembling? It has all of that. All of it.

When I'm done, I'll see if I can link to the PDF but be warned; so far I'm estimating it will run into the hundreds of pages.
