So this is basically a question for the entire gang but how do y'all feel about Taylor Swift because I promise you I have a song assigned to each and everyone of you.

Like Jon is definitely "You're on your own kid", Martin is either " Invisible" or "Tied together with a smile", both Sasha and notSasha give big " The man" vibes, Tim is "Shake it off" alll the way (or maybe "You need to calm down") and personally I always think of Elias whenever I listen to "King of my heart" or "Need" but that last one's technically unreleased so I don't know if it counts but maybe "Daylight" works too.

First, I want to thank whoever sent me this, letting me know someone screenshot my post instead of reblogging it directly from the source. I probably never would have found out because, unlike this random internet shadow who was obviously pressed by my post, I've discovered and make liberal use of the 'Block' and 'Ignore' button. It's not healthy to obsess over things you hate and make you feel bad, babey, trust me. It's why I try as little as possible to think about fake episodes such as 15x20 😜

Secondly I want to agree with something someone put in the tags because... yeah, the show ended. I know this. You know this. The intern who writes Twitter trending descriptions definitely knows this. But we're both still talking about it. I mean, at least my blog name isn't related to the show nor something about the show that I represent myself as being vocally against... 🤔 Supernatural is just one facet of my identity, and if y'all scrolled through my blog instead of cherry picking certain posts you could see I do more than talk about destiel all the time (most of the time, sure, but I take breaks).

Finally, just to the things added from the OP of the screenshot post - I'm not gonna discount either Sara and Ava's nor Grace and Anissa's relationships. I think they're all wonderful characters and the romance between them (from what I've seen on Legends and heard about Black Lighting/know from the comics) is great. And I mean if we're also just listing out queer couples on shows who celebrate major life events, we can't forget Kevin and Fangs who are about to be parents on Riverdale! That doesn't mean these great storylines are being given respect or handled well. I, one person on the Internet speaking to another on the Internet, can recognize these things but also have layered opinions about them. I mean, Riverdale is BAD writing (Kevin and Fangs having a baby doesn't excuse how they never knew what to do with Kevin post-Moose nor all the queerbaiting they did and still do). Black Lightning was cancelled unexpectedly (for us, the viewers, and the CAST). Legends, while being the BEST DCEU show on cable television (my opinion at least), has never been given the respect it deserves even though it survives cancellation constantly (I could go on about this but I think Dominic Purcell's Instagram post about leaving the show sums it up well). This is all to say there's a difference between having characters in shows who identify as LGBTQ+, and then doing them well/corporate liking the characters. The C*w is a business. They recognized a pov they could capitalize on with 'Dare to Defy' to set them apart from other cable networks that are on the air today. They created this campaign to appeal to younger audiences who are more likely to watch shows through streaming apps than on basic cable. Everything they do is about viewership, I mean... not to drag out an old classic but the only reason Misha was brought back on was because season 7 was going to be the last season of Supernatural if it weren't for him. When it comes to 'defying expectations' over 'profits', the latter wins. My question, while tongue in cheek, did stem from an honest curiosity over whether they still used the campaign? Especially since a lot of the shows that were on it are either over/ending. Or do they still have it run from time to time with new faces or faces from currently running shows?

This was longer than I wanted to write lol, and I could go on because I was only talking about LGBTQ+ and not areas where they messed up in regards to POC or disabled storylines/characters (but I wouldn't feel the best writer to go into this and I'm sure these posts probably exist and are done way better than I ever could). At the end of the day, I'm just focusing on what I like and what I would have liked to see about this one show. And you know what? If you love Supernatural, you should be happy me and thousands of other people are still talking about it. Because we're making it trend every... other... day!!!!! 😜

I'll also end with this - we're both two people affected by the brainrot (affectionate) that is Supernatural. If what I post and reblog isn't your cup of tea, then go ahead and block me. I won't notice, and I definitely won't care. My identity, both online and in person, is made of stronger stuff than that.
