@sacredwarrior88 asked: Welcome back my amazing buddy! 😊 May I please request headcanons for Nana, Nobu, and Yasu finding out about their female S/O having PCOS which causes various problems including weight gain?
Hello buddy! <3 of course you can! As someone who has PCOS myself and is currently going through trying to regulate my hormones through my diet and medications this hits home. I hope you enjoy the headcanons hun!
Headcanons for a female S/O that has PCOS:
Nana Osaki (I picked her, since it didn't specify which one):
She never thought about you gaining weight in the first place.
When you told her what your doctor said, she hugged you, not really sure what else to do.
When you start your new medications and your mood swings go in different directions, she doesn't take it to heart and will give you space and time for yourself unless you tell her you want her there.
She even cuts out her beer and cake so its not around the apartment in case you get a craving. She knows you're cutting your sugar intake as your doctor suggested to help balance out your hormones and you can't drink on the current meds you're on.
When you feel sad, no matter if it's your mood swings or just feeling down through this whole process, she holds you close making sure you know she's there for whatever you'll need.
Nana even starts making sugar free or low sugar sweets for you two to share.
Does her best to make you your favorite dishes that go along with what your doctor suggested. Cooking and baking for you are her love language so get ready to be pampered with delicious dishes.
Nobuo Terashima:
Adored you with your current weight and doesn't bat an eye when you seem to gain more weight or stay the same.
Is initally confused when you told him you had PCOS, but tries to be a supportive boyfriend in his own way.
Knows you want to do some form of movement to help and he finds fun ways to do that with you. Through doing dancing games with you, to Zumba, even taking you to puppy yoga one day.
When you tell him it's hard to lose weight when he notices your weight staying the same especially with PCOS and its due to you having more male hormones instead of female hormones that hold onto the weight, but you assure him you feel better with all the movement activities you've been doing with him and that makes him happy.
It's hard for him, but he stops drinking and having booze in the house. He likes drinking and it helps relive some stress he has some days, but since you can't drink, you both find new ways to deal with stress like reading, listening to audiobooks and his favorite which turns out to be plants/gardening.
Does his own reasearch into PCOS and sees what vitamins and such would help you and buys them for you and presents them in a cute basket along with some new foods and drinks that go along with your changes.
He'll always be supportive during your journey with this and will help in any way he can.
Yasushi Takagi:
Didn't care about your weight and never commits on it even when he can see you've gained a bit more. He lieks you for you.
Knows what PCOS is and figured you had something like that with the signs. To be honest, he already had things ordered like vitamins and low sugar snacks and drinks for you. He got them the day you went to the doctor.
Doesn't bat an eye at your mood swings and takes it all in stride. When you come to him afterwards, he'll cuddle you on the couch as he brushes your apologizes aside. He knows it's not your fault, its the medications and that's the truth.
Goes on walks with you every morning to get you moving a bit more and he'll listen to you talk about what's new at work, or with your friend groups and the latest from your doctor. He likes to see you happy and content like this.
Meal preps for you with foods that are packed with what you need and will give you energy even if its just for a little bit.
With your memory not as good as it was before the new medicines, he makes sure to write what pills you need to take and when on a whiteboard he bought so you can remember. He knows you can't miss a single dose of them.
Makes sure there's extra blankets and warm socks around the apartment. With your hormones starting to balance out, you're not hot all the time and start to get cold more frequently. He'll make sure you have everything you need and more.

╭₊˚๑ happy one year!﹕☁️₊˚੭

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ Haru's letter to Zerobaseone
Haru watches as all nine of his group mates read out their letters, feeling their emotions wash over him as he does. All of them had written such heartfelt letters for the group, explaining just how much this means to them. After hearing nine different letters, it's scary to realize that his is going to be read last and that he has to read it himself.
Before he even starts, he can feel his eyes well up with tears that he desperatly tries to blink away as the members start to coo at him.
"Aigoo~ don't cry Yasu!" Matthew calls from across the lawn
He clears his throat and manages to start reading.
To my Zerobaseone,
It's been a year already... A full year of being by your sides. It scares me how fast our time is going and how soon I'll be far away again. When I first came to Korea, I was scared of finding a new home because of the fear that I'll have to say goodbye again. How funny that my fear is coming true but instead of the all consuming dread I thought I'd feel, it all feels warm. In moments like this, where I'm surrounded by all of you, I'm not scared or worried about the future. I've always been told I worry too much, especially about things that are out of my control, but thanks to all of you I think I'm finally learning how to let go of that and just enjoy what's around me.
I love all of you, please don't forget that even when I fall back into my shell and hide away from you. I know I can be difficult sometimes, but I promise I don't do it on purpose.
Thank you for being patient with me and waiting for me. I hope that the ten of us can continue long after our time on camera has ended. You all have become such a big part of my life and I hope one day I can show you around my home city and the neighboring areas. Let's all wait for that day together.
Here's to forever,
Your Yasu~
He does his best to power through the sobs that get stuck in his throat, ignoring the tears that drip down his face as he finishes reading. Pulling the paper in front of his face, he tries to hide away from the cameras as he cries.
It isn't until he feels multiple pairs of arms wrap around him that his sobs become audible. Someone pulls him into their chest and cards their fingers through his hair, Hanbin's voice filtering through his ears to comfort him.
It takes a moment, but he finally manages to calm himself down with the comfort of his members. He feels his face flush as he pulls away from Hanbin, gently wiping his eyes as to not ruin his makeup anymore than he already has.
"Our sweet Yasu~" Taerae coos, softly pinching Haru's cheek.
Yeah, Haru thinks he could see forever in them.

Remember Remember the Fifth of November
Remember, remember the fifth of November. We're soon to cover a lot. I see no reason, why Sorbet's malfeasance should ever be forgot.
Seriously...we get our biggest RA origins chapter on Guy Fawkes Day? Rad even if purely coincidental. We also have this quiet peculiarity. Something that's been brought up here before. The cover page is just part of the main story? Yes, request apparently but it's a natural fit. That's new. Even Pudding was cluing us in on a past happening pertinent to an event. Watch stuff like this, the "rules" of the narrative breaking down. It's also really, really cute. Where are those fish ending up? Okay, let's get to the real meat of this. You can probably guess from the chapter title...
I'm the Mickey to your Minnie, you're the Tigger to my Winnie...Ginny! I'm...dating myself with memes aren't I? Ginny has become a fast, fast favorite. This was already a thing too, but seeing adult Ginny I get what people mean. There's a certain sensibility to being Bonney's mom...but she does look like another skrunkly glutton on Egghead more than anything. York is a clone, this has dark implications. Please don't be too cruel to new blorbo Oda. I'm gonna add her to the figure collection I promise.
Seriously though...how many of y'all get that Ginny is exactly what I've been on about? Forget Kuma's whole taking on burdens thing and being a goddamn blaring echo of the Crane Wife story. I can make this easy now. Ginny is what it would look like if you plugged Nami's character into the "quartermaster" role I've used Kiku as a guidepost for.
We're already past the point of teasing about lack of subtlety so I don't know what to say anymore. This flashback is making a big to-do about someone who fits the bill for the exact archetype straddling the present story around two foils. Doing it in a way that could lead back to a darker scene from Vegapunk's past. If that wasn't apparent enough,
Really driving the point home with Sorbet. Just like Goa & Gray Terminal. Just like Bakura & Okobore. These two were the tentpoles of the lawless waste being kicked around. Marco, Toki, Yasu, Kiku & Tsuru...pay attention when a core theme of the previous arc comes up like that. Especially that beat about marriage and Ginny's suitors. If that wasn't all enough, there's one element here I can't shake:
Look at Kuma's chest, the faint blackening...does it kind of make you think of Luffy's scar? You see it in the eyes too, we're not used to seeing adult Kuma with normal features for him. His expressions...it's a concept we've talked about a lot. This late in the game you notice when a character gets visual traits usually reserved for the protagonist. Kuma does this a fair amount, and the whole story sorta does have the same tone as like...if Luffy & Uta grew up together. Or if he stayed in Okobore with Kiku for a few years even. As much as I love the Revolutionary lore, this has me going absolutely crazy right now.

NOMADOFNOWHERE Tour
Fanrepo (ファンレポ) Day 4 - Part 2
Continuation of the conversation with Yasu about the group name change...

Continuation about Subaru not coming to his tour coz he doesn't know anybody's phone number and can't contact him to invite... (Me: DUDEEEE WHY YOU STILL LIKE DIS 😂 I CAN'T WITH THIS GUY)

Every time Ryo's being tsundere and teasing people to oblivion and back... that means he's really happy, but he's awkward about it (Me: why you still like dis, Ryo... I love you, but I wanna kick your butt too sometimes lol)

Poor Manager-san probably called him to wake him up 😂 this reminds me of that unholy alliance of "people who wake up at noon" (Janiben episode)

I dunno how to feel about this... but, isn't Ryo brilliant? The thoughts that he shared with us always make me think about my own life too... #NishikidoSensei is 💖

After the TMI about his routines before a show, Ryo was like WHY DID YOU MAKE ME SAY ALL THAT?! 🥺 lol cute

前髪界隈 lol
Omodoro and rewriting of memories... is perhaps the biggest lesson Ryo tries to impart and wants us to digest, but it's not like he himself understands it fully either. Coz even tho humans change, they also stay the same... these two can coexist, paradoxical as it may sound.

This self-holding hands during Omoide Dorobou is never not gonna be cute 😆 (X-post)
Ryo and his ever-present need to test fans regarding their obsession with his hairstyles 😂

Isoyama P, thank you for giving Ryo the opportunities! 🥰

I was in tears every time I watched that part in Episode 5 of the drama... it's like some sort of sad mystery theatre or something

Ryo x Jun 😆

Jack Nicholson story continuation...

Encore continuation
People are not changing their behaviour overnight, and Nishikido-sensei is frustrated with the slow progress 😂

He wants the audience to change the encore noise but people are not budging from their century-old habit in the space of a few shows lol #poorRyo

The rhythm of the don don don thing... (まだわかりませんけど😅)

He redid the encore 😂 (X post)
Fans said the rhythm sounds like Futari no Hana! (X post)
Encore tutorial... thank you! (X post)
Agricultural whuttt? 😂 what kind of youtube videos has he been watching lately lol

Skipping lol

This skipping backstory is really cute lol (X post)
Ice cream has suddenly become a symbol of friendship? 😆

行きなりさかなクン 😂

I found this but I dunno if that's what he meant tho lol

He said it back in Note-era too!

Ending greeting

Ryo trying to do multiple things at one go... as usual 😆 (promote his Osakan t-shirt, promote his tour, promote his movie, being cute) とにかく... prioritizing is IMPORTANT lol

This skipping thing is too cute... tbh, I do it too when I go home from work late sometimes coz it's already dark outside of our office building and nobody is around to see me happily skipping to my car 😆

Chapter 14
Hands stuffed in skirt pockets, Yasu makes her way over to the warehouse on the other side of the pier. She was looking down at nothing in particular, a blank expression on her face. Knocking twice, she slid the door open before waiting for a reply. Rui was waiting for her, leaning on the inside wall just beside the door.
“So?” Rui’s voice was calm, yet as cold as it always was. Yasu stopped paying attention to her tone unless she felt she needed to diffuse a situation.
“Two more. Put up little resistance in the end, made the wishes you told me to make them make. Kyubey didn’t seem to care, either.” Yasu sighed. “Mizutani and Kawakami are under our umbrella now. -Your- umbrella,” Yasu added.
Rui simply nodded, showing no outward emotion. “Perfect. As I am now, not even the school can stop me. If I wanted to turn it upside down, there’s not a damn thing anyone could do.”
“…But you’re not done, are you, Rui?”
“No. Not even close. Come on, Yasu. Next on the list, Akari Fueki.”
* * *
Koharu Shirahara operated the Newspaper Club room with the most organized chaos known to man. Papers were scattered across several tables, with post boards behind her along the walls, several pictures tacked with string connecting them posted in a manner that only Koharu could truly follow. Whenever pressed about the meaning behind them, Koharu had no trouble explaining her meaning and methods, which helped Hanako and Shinju understand what they were writing about more clearly. But on a first glance, it was practically a language spoken by one and one alone.
On a particularly quiet Saturday, Koharu was gathering her notes, folders, whatever she needed to work from home after everyone else had left. Another routine, one Koharu didn’t take pleasure in, was the arrival of school staff to tell her to leave. As if she wasn’t already leaving. She had long suspected that the school’s staff wanted to give her a harder time than was warranted, but no one could ever prove it for certain. At least -one- of the counselors was tactful about it, Koharu often thought.
Sure enough, two quiet knocks signaled their arrival. A tall, blonde woman in a suit far beyond her status, and a dark haired woman a head shorter, wearing far more casual clothing than her position would suggest. “Hey there, Koharu! Mind if we come in?” It was the dark haired woman this time that spoke first. Good cop first this time, Koharu thought.
Without giving a reply, knowing that the pair would enter regardless of how Koharu answered, she simply continued gathering her things, not even looking up at the other voice speaking to her now. “School was out of session half an hour ago, Shirahara.”
“I’m aware. Room has a clock.” Koharu’s tone was as emotionless as ever, and this intrusion wasn’t enough to stop her from gathering. “Was just leaving. Have to work from home to make the deadline.”
“Ah, I see. Maybe we asked a bit too much of you?” The ‘good cop’ leaned down over the table once it was cleared of papers, shoved hastily into Koharu’s backpack. “You know, you could always get some other people to join your club.”
“Don’t need anyone else.” Koharu zipped up her backpack and finally looked up at the counselors. Good cop was wearing a warm expression, while the other woman was looking as harsh and cold as always. “Can I go now?”
“Well, we’re kind of glad to see you here, Shirahara. We wanted to talk to you about one article in the paper in particular.”
“Let me guess. Rui Tomatsu?”
The smaller counselor spoke up, interrupting and trying to diffuse the obvious tension that often came with her colleague’s confrontations with Koharu. “Erm, yeah, that bit. I mean, everyone in school knows what happened to your window, Koharu. Why bother trying to cast any doubt? You know what kind of person she is, right?”
“No evidence.”
Before the blonde woman could snap back, the dark haired woman continued, insisting on leading more with the good cop routine first. “W-Well, -no-, I suppose we don’t, not in a beyond reasonable doubt kinda sense.” Flashing a serious, warning look to her colleague, she returned to Koharu with a softer expression. “You don’t have to feel guilt over this, Koharu. I mean, there’s no other explanation for what happened to your window, right?”
“I won’t lie in my paper to make the staff feel better.”
This time, the blonde woman was faster than her companion. “Look. You know this is Tomatsu’s third strike, right? We know you’ve read into the school’s records. Even if we can’t -prove- it,” she added, flashing a knowing gaze towards her partner.
“Make your point.”
“Our point, Shirahara, is that you have a golden opportunity to place yourself in a position of trust with the staff here. On top of that, you would be doing us a colossal favor, getting rid of one of the biggest troublemakers that Mitakihara High School has ever seen. Just think about it.”
“You still want me to lie just to give you an easy out,” Koharu snapped back, throwing her bag over her shoulder. “Not how the world works. Nothing comes free, nothing comes easy. What I’m doing is finding the truth. Even if it isn’t convenient for you all. And I especially won’t lie to help in some personal vendetta you have against a child.”
Koharu stepped away from them, making for the door only to stop as the blonde woman spoke up. “Is this how you repay a favor? We never had to grant your request to run the school paper, you know. It sure wasn’t the local government’s prodding.”
Recognizing the threat, Koharu glanced back at the pair. “Are you sure it wasn’t fear? You know who my mother is. Or does the name Hikari Shirahara not sound familiar either?”
“Why you insolent little—”
“Careful. You know my club’s roster includes the daughter of Katsumi Sasaki, right? Threats like these don’t go unanswered.” Koharu waited for a reply that never came, so she left the room, calmly closing the door behind her. “…Why did I do that?” With a sigh, Koharu began walking towards the school’s exit. “Why did I have to involve Hanako in all this?”
* * *
A sharp whistle blew, cutting the crisp, late autumn air. A group of girls had lined up at the starting line, and took off from a three-point stance upon hearing the signal to start. Two girls immediately took a sizable lead. One with lavender hair, short and disheveled, and one with dark, midnight blue hair, long and straight down her back.
The dark haired girl was panting much more heavily than her rival, but she was keeping pace. The two were neck-and-neck for several lengths of the track, and the short-haired girl gave a passing, curious glance at the other girl. Before long, she had pulled ahead, and after crossing the finish line, stopped and placed her hands on her knees. “Whew! You almost caught me that time, Rui!”
The long haired girl, Rui Tomatsu, collapsed on the ground after crossing the finish line, struggling to catch her breath. “I… ugh… I -will- surpass you someday… Toi.”
Outstretching her hand, Toi Kanashimi helped Rui Tomatsu to her feet. “Don’t push yourself too hard out there! You’re only a first year, after all.” Looking around to make sure the coach wasn’t in earshot, Toi leaned in and lowered her voice. “If you keep making your asthma worse, they’re gonna catch you someday! You took a hit from your inhaler before this heat, right?”
Rui nodded, letting go of Toi’s hand as soon as she became vertical. “Yeah. You’re the only one that knows, right? Those dumbass coaches haven’t caught on?”
Shaking her head, Toi looked around again. “No one knows but us. And stop calling the coaches dumb, they’ll catch that one much more quickly than they’ll find your inhaler. Besides, it’s not a good look for a first year!”
“Psh. You’re one to talk.” Rui chuckled a little, a tiny smile lighting her face, mirroring the warmer one on Toi’s. “Well, whatever. I have time before the next race. I should warm up some more. Remember, you’re my only rival here. I have to take you down someday.”
“I’m looking forward to it!” Toi patted Rui on the shoulder and walked off, getting a bottle of water and failing to notice the fading of Rui’s smile.
This pattern would repeat for weeks. Toi and Rui would run neck-and-neck for the first half to two thirds of a given race or practice, and Toi would pull ahead at the last second. Rui’s endurance would improve naturally over time, but it was never enough to let her pull ahead in their competitions. Rui never showed any outward feelings of bitterness, and Toi remained a compassionate, encouraging rival.
But to say that bitterness didn’t exist at all, even Rui would never say for sure.
It was one fateful day, a very important meet that would put Mitakihara High School’s track team among the top ranking in all of Japan. Just a few minutes before the race, coaches and doctors were crowded around a girl crumpled on the floor of the locker room, clutching her left ankle as tears rolled down her cheeks. “I told you! I didn’t see who it was! I felt something hit the back of my head, then my leg, and the next thing I know I can’t stand up and I’m surrounded by no less than a dozen adults!”
A crowd of other track racers from other schools had gathered, and front of the pack was an expressionless Rui. Murmuring from the crowd muted and muffled the noises coming from the officials surrounding the injured girl, but two facts were clear: Toi’s ankle was broken, and it was obviously foul play. The whispers began to grow in volume, wondering just who it was that could have done this.
The obvious answer would have been a rival school, wanting to bury Mitakihara since no one could really hold a candle to Toi’s top times. That Tomatsu girl was a close second, but maybe they thought they could hold their own. “I mean, you see how that girl gets after each round, she’s practically hyperventilating!”
Rui’s eyes had remained firmly locked on Toi’s body, particularly her leg, but she still showed no outward emotion. Some time would pass, and speculation was running wild that Rui Tomatsu would have to carry Mitakihara High School to the top, but this would never come to pass. Before the final race, Rui was also nowhere to be seen.
“This is bullshit! You have no goddamn proof that I was even near Toi’s locker, let alone that I had anything to do with her injury!” Rui pounded the door frame she stood under, staring daggers at the two counselors in front of her. One was sitting at a desk, staring calmly yet coldly through strands of long, blonde hair at Rui. The other woman looked through a clipboard, her own, darker hair sat neatly along her back. “Besides, you pull me now, and this school’s never gonna reach the top! You want that interference on your records, Nagano? Huh?!”
The senior counselor stood up, palms slammed down on the desk. “Watch your tongue, Rui Tomatsu. The school will decide what the truth is, and who’s to blame for the wound to our reputation. In a few years, maybe someone will come along who can break Toi Kanashimi’s records. But right now, all the evidence we gathered at the scene points to you, including motive.”
“Motive?! Toi’s my friend, why the hell would I want to take her out like this?! I wanna beat her on the track, not in some back fucking alley! Come on, Sakurauchi, you believe me, don’t you?!”
The other woman stepped forward, looking up from her papers and spoke with a much calmer voice. “Rui, please calm down. If you truly didn’t commit this crime, the school won’t have any reason to punish you. We just have to go with the facts we found, that’s all. Please, have a little faith.”
“Faith? You both can go to hell with your faith.” Before either counselor could reply, Rui turned and started to leave. “You fuckers already made up your goddamn minds anyway.”
The school did make up its mind, in the end. Rui Tomatsu was removed from the track club, and was barred from competition in any school sports for the rest of her time as a student, though it was never quite clear if it was her attitude that led the staff to judge Rui this harshly, or if she really did break Toi’s ankle. Toi had never suspected Rui, but soon enough, her family would move away to another city, which left Rui alone and at the staff’s mercy.
* * *
“Koharu, calm down. I… I can’t really understand you, um… with all that wind in the background.” Hanako was laying on her bed, on her stomach. She was facing the unused television, phone in her left hand and held to her ear. A typical Sunday, minus the three way phone call.
“Call off your magic then,” Koharu muttered before speaking up. She was very clearly walking around outside. “I said I want to meet up somewhere. Lot to talk about. Maybe the park near the school? Maybe we just go to our club room anyway?”
“Whoa!” Shinju’s voice caused Hanako to temporarily remove the phone from her ear. “No way, man! We’re not breaking into the school on a Sunday!” Her voice noticeably quieted as she said that, perhaps to avoid her older sister overhearing. “Count me out!”
“We need to meet.” Koharu’s voice was beginning to rise, a sense of panic taking over. “Don’t understand. This is important. Really important. You don’t understand!”
The two continued to argue for awhile after that. Hanako shuddered a bit, her fog setting in over her mind and threatening to drown everything else out, until an idea broke through, piercing the veil. “W-Why not just… come over to my place for lunch? Mother has… been wanting to see you both, since… well… um…”
Koharu’s voice lowered, calmer breathing on the other end of the call. “Right. She wants to know we’re real. Good thinking.” The bluntness caused Hanako to jump again. It was exactly as Koharu said. Her mother knew she had friends now, and that she was doing better, but it would be another thing entirely to meet Koharu and Shinju in person. “We have privacy there?”
“Y… Yes. Mother never enters my room without permission, and the apartment walls are thick enough for both of my parents to have discreet conversations about their careers.”
“O~kay! Party at Hanako’s!” Shinju’s relief was equally clear in her voice. “Message me the directions and I’ll have ‘Haku bring me by!”
* * *
Rui cast her empty gaze over the newly formed Soul Gem in her hand, its owner’s body crumpled on the floor and curled up in a tight ball. She showed no emotion, only turning her head to gaze at the other girl sitting horrified nearby. “Okay, your turn.”
The girl shook her head, light brown hair swaying and shaking, covering the girl’s face. “Th-This… this can’t be real!”
“Come on, Takahata. I told you what to wish for. Now be a good girl and tell the nice kitty what your wish is. Or do you want Fueki here to suffer and fight those monsters it told you about all by herself?”
“Akari…” The trembling girl, Chiemi Takahata, gazed coldly up at Rui, then at Yasu, who stood behind her. She then looked at the creature standing at Rui’s side. It resembled a cat, but the eyes and tail told her otherwise. The fact that it could speak didn’t help. “F-Fine. I… don’t have a choice here, do I?”
“Attagirl. Yasu, I’ll leave the training and details up to you.” Taking Yasu’s silence as compliance, Rui placed Akari’s Soul Gem on her unconscious body, then turned and began to leave. “One more should do it. Niko Segawa, I think, would be the ideal target. Yeah… just one more should make me truly unstoppable.”
* * *
The doorbell rang, and as the door opened, Shinju gave a polite bow to the woman who answered. “Nice to meet you, Sasaki-san. I’m Shinju, and this is Koharu. We’re here to visit Hanako for lunch, uh… can we come in?” Shinju cast a wary gaze over at Koharu, who neither mimicked the action, nor said anything.
Smiling brightly, Hanako’s mother stood aside and invited the girls inside. “Oh, that’s right. Hanako just told me she was having friends over for lunch. Come in, come in!” Koharu entered right away, while Shinju had given another bow first, still staring at Koharu.
“Apologies, girls, but I’m afraid that Ren isn’t here to meet you today. He was called away on a last-second business trip. A pity, since he really wanted to meet you both. The way Hanako goes on and on.” A little chuckle escaped before she fluttered towards the dining room. It isn’t much, but I made some sandwiches and light salads for you all. You can eat in Hanako’s room, just make sure to knock first.
“Thank you, Sasaki-san!” Shinju stepped forward, taking both her plate and Hanako’s, leaving Koharu to take her own. “You didn’t have to go to the trouble, though!”
“Oh, you’re far too polite. Call me Katsumi, everyone else does. Please, don’t be afraid to make yourselves at home here.”
This time, Koharu did speak up, though only mumbling. “…It’s nice to meet you.” It looked like she wanted to say more, but decided against it.
“Likewise, Koharu. Now, pardon my rudeness, but I have important work to attend to.” As she said this, Koharu’s face sank a bit. “If either of you need anything, don’t hesitate to track me down, okay?” She knocked twice on Hanako’s door, then gave the girls a warm smile before turning to walk away.
Hanako’s door swiftly opened after, and she sheepishly took the spare plate from Shinju’s arm. “Ah… she really didn’t have to… um…” Shaking her head, she let Shinju and Koharu into her room. “…We have a lot to talk about, actually. I’m glad you both came here today.”
* * *
The autumn that fell a year after Toi’s injury and subsequent departure felt colder somehow. Snow hadn’t started falling yet, but the chill in the air was biting at a majority of the students of Mitakihara High. Everyone seemed to complain about it. Everyone, except for Rui Tomatsu.
She was looking down at the bruises on her hand, cursing under her breath that a first year student could actually put up a fight against her. Still, the freshman class was a large pool of targets this year, and Rui was scanning for her next victim.
Rui remembered the discipline meeting with the counselors from her fight with the first year named Arashi. The kid, naturally, got off with only a warning, especially after putting on a mask of false remorse. Rui, however, got the brunt of their ire.
“This is unacceptable behavior, Tomatsu. Or did you not learn a harsh enough lesson the last time we spoke like this?” The blonde counselor, Shinobu Nagano, looked as cold as she did when Toi’s ankle was broken, but her tone wasn’t nearly as harsh. “Picking fights is unbecoming of a second year student.”
“It’s unbecoming of anyone, really.” Yuna Sakurauchi, the dark haired counselor had naturally taken a much softer tone. “Rui, don’t you think there’s healthier outlets for your anger?”
Rui scoffed, folding her arms across her chest. “What. Like a sport or something?” Her words hit their mark, with both counselors recoiling. “You kind of took that away from me, remember?”
“Taking your frustrations out on your juniors is unacceptable, no matter what the circumstances. Besides, there’s nothing stopping you from joining an off campus, out of school organization.”
“Is there?” Rui’s eyes flashed with malice, staring into Counselor Nagano’s. “Because I’m pretty sure most of them look through your school records before admission. So unless you have another idea, I’m afraid I can’t help either of you.” She didn’t give them a chance to interrupt her this time. “Besides, you heard that punk Arashi. She started it. Or do you intend to punish me for -another- incident without proper proof?”
“Get out, Tomatsu. We’ll continue this conversation later.”
Rui held a smug satisfaction as time went by. She lost her only outlet, but the school couldn’t do anything beyond that. Without proof, if they school continued to press her, she could go to the media and at the very least prompt a proper investigation. Given how the counselors were reacting, Rui knew that this was something the school wanted to avoid. It couldn’t take another blow to its reputation after losing its prestige from dropping two rising track stars, after all.
But this did leave Rui in a difficult position. Her one wish, the one and only chance to get herself out of this predicament, and she had wasted it in an emotional impulse. She could’ve wished for anything. The removal of the staff, or her reinstatement on the track team. If only she had another wish, she often bemoaned. At least she didn’t waste it curing her asthma. She would discover rather quickly that she could heal herself with her new powers.
Weeks would go by. Rui would lay low, if only to calculate her next move. She had the school by the throat, but she could only push her luck so far. And her anger was continuing to build and boil over. She could only contain it for so long, and her Witch hunts weren’t really doing much to relieve the tension. Her next incident was a miscalculation as a result. She went too far, and Rui knew this by the next time she found herself in Shinobu’s office.
“…And don’t even try that ‘she started it’ line this time, Tomatsu! The doctors are telling us that Mei Tsukuda’s leg is going to need surgery, and that Seia Yamano lost her sight! What do you have to say for yourself?!”
Rui simply smiled, a sick, twisted expression lighting her face, but she remained silent.
“This is your second strike, Tomatsu. If you so much as step one foot out of line again, you will be expelled! Think about what -that- would do to your record and prospects, hm?”
Rui cast her gaze over towards Yuna, but she didn’t return the gesture, buried in her papers. Rui took this as a sign of her misstep. She would have to be more careful and guarded going forward. The rest of the meeting consisted of drowned out shouting from Shinobu, but Rui was too deep in her own head to hear her anymore.
All Rui needed was to lay low until she graduated. She just needed nothing to happen that the school could pin on her.

“So then, Shinju is one too, now. Perfect. Was tired of dodging the subject.” Koharu was sitting in a chair by Hanako’s bedroom window, which was closed with deep red curtains covering it.
Shinju was staring at the dust-covered television and let out a laugh. “Haha, lemme guess. ‘I didn’t ask’, right? Well, no worries! I don’t care about all that, I get it. But it really is nice to all be on the same page again!”
Hanako’s expression remained sour, however. “…So… what do we do now, then…? We were able to fend Tomatsu off this time, but… now that I’ve weakened, and she’s had time to recover…”
“Aw c’mon, Hanako. I dealt with people like her before. Ya beat up a bully, they stop coming after you. Not that I’ve gone quite as far as you have…” Shinju rubbed her head and kept her gaze on the TV. “Do you even use this thing? What kinda teenager isn’t glued to a TV, anyway?”
Ignoring the comment, Koharu interjected. “I disagree. Rui Tomatsu isn’t your run-of-the-mill bully. I doubt you dealt with Magical Girl bullies in your time, Shinju. Besides, I’ve been through her records. This girl’s the type to escalate.”
Hanako lowered her head, laying on her stomach once more. “…What do we do…?”
Shinju tapped her foot impatiently, almost trying to psychically will the television on. “What can we do? If she comes at us again, we just pound her face in again. But uh, maybe not do that thing you did last time, ‘kay?”
Koharu coughed once, possibly to interject again. “In any case, Rui Tomatsu isn’t our only problem. The higher ups are wanting us to lie in the paper again. Didn’t like how I covered the incident before.”
Hanako looked up, a mask of concern on her face. “Did they… give you a hard time about it? They didn’t make any threats… or anything like that?”
Shaking her head, Koharu sighed, looking away, trying to look out the curtain-covered window. “They did. Nothing direct. Just a lot of implied threats. The usual stuff.”
Koharu took the opportunity to build upon her thoughts by speaking them aloud to the others, to keep them in the loop. “Even if they shut down the paper, we have this room as our base of operations. We can’t stop here. We get the truth out even if the school tries to bury us for it.” There was a rare spark of passion in Koharu’s voice as she spoke.
“I-I don’t mind, of course. I mean… I don’t think we can meet -every- night, I do need my alone time… But if the school means to shut us down, then I have no reason to refuse activities here. Mother would certainly be happy with that.”
“We should meet here regardless. Staff will likely keep the club open as a ‘concession’ and monitor our meetings. We only discuss Rui here. Safer that way given how much this intersects the Magical Girl side of things.”
“Yeah.” Shinju sighed, giving up on Hanako’s TV for now. “That sounds exactly like what an authority high on power would do. Keep things running as a fake gift, but bug the place and watch it like a hawk. Mundane stuff at the club room, Rui stuff here, then?”
“Mm. I have no objections, Koharu. Shinju.” Hanako gave a little smile, letting the rare moment of normalcy set in. Sure, she was facing an uphill battle against a violent enemy, but for now, she had the prospect of friends coming to hang out, something she had never known before. Her only other friend before this was a long distance contact through a game, after all. “How did you get them to let you go today though, Koharu? If they really were that… pressuring about all this.”
“Ah, well. About that.” Koharu shuffled nervously in her seat. “They let me go after I dropped my mother’s name.” She hesitated for a solid minute before mumbling, “…And yours.”
Before Hanako can react, two knocks came upon Hanako’s bedroom door, and Katsumi was waiting in the crack that formed upon the door being pushed ajar. “Oh? School giving you a hard time, Koharu? Leave that to me.”
Koharu immediately turned to stare at Katsumi, taken aback by the sudden feeling of justice. Hanako, however, had gone pale, wondering just how much her mother had overheard, but Katsumi didn’t give her room to respond here, either. “I take on pro bono cases all the time, and to be honest, I have my own history with some of those guys that work there. Tell me, is Shinobu Nagano still Head Counselor over at Mitakihara High School?”
* * *
Yasu never particularly cared for what Rui asked her to do this time. She knew better than to try and talk Rui down, her rage was too far out of control. But she couldn’t condone this, either. Five new Magical Girls, all of whom made wishes that benefited or empowered Rui? This was too much.
Of course, Yasu knew what the school had done to Rui over the years, despite only being a first year student herself. It was this knowledge that brought Yasu to ally herself with Rui in the first place. The staff hadn’t bothered her in the same way they did Rui, but she never could shake the feeling of animosity from the higher ups, either.
To top it off, Yasu couldn’t remember what she herself wished for. As far as she knew, vague memories of a childhood led up to Yasu awakening one day to strange powers and a life fighting Witches. But she never could let go of feelings of hostility and persecution from those around her. From everyone, except for Rui.
Walking away from the abandoned building where Akari and Chiemi contracted, Yasu pulled out her phone, dialing the one number saved within. “Come on…” But after ringing for a minute or so, the call went to Rui’s voicemail, a generic, robotic voice informing Yasu that the call wasn’t answered.
She hung up, pocketing her phone and making her way towards the rendezvous agreed upon. If anything ever went south, Rui told Yasu to meet up at the school’s track. It was an odd place, Yasu thought, but poetic for Rui. Planning the downfall of Counselors Nagano and Sakurauchi in the place where Rui was framed in the first place was a nice sense of ironic justice.
It was a quiet, uneventful walk, but Yasu wasn’t prepared for the sight that awaited her upon slipping into the school grounds and making for the field. Her eyes widened as she caught the sight right away. Lying in a deep, crimson pool, Rui Tomatsu’s lifeless body lay, already pale and stiff.

"I Do, My Love!"- Mitsunari Epilogue
Alright, here is the final piece to our sweet cinnamon roll's wedding event! I hope you all enjoy!
It had been ten years since our wedding and many things had changed. Mitsunari had earned his own land and a castle was constructed for us to live in. Though we generally stayed close to Hideyoshi and Nobunaga, as Mitsunari was the lead strategist of the Oda forces and now that we had united the country, a vital member of the council. So, we generally stayed close by Osaka Castle.
I was standing in the kitchen of our home, working on lunch, when I heard familiar footsteps. “Mama, do you need help?”
I turned to smile at Yasu, our son (Mitsunari had wanted to name him after Ieyasu even just in part…much to Ieyasu’s annoyance). “I’m just finishing up.” I replied. “But you are always welcome to help. Where is Himari?”
“She’s with Papa in their study room…again.” Yasu answered.
“Absorbed in their books again?” I asked.
Yasu nodded. “Yes. I can’t even tempt her with her favorite game or Kitty.”
“Well, we’ll just have to get them to come back to Earth and enjoy our meal together as a family.” I replied.
“As we always do…I am NOT feeding her like Uncle Hideyoshi used to do for Papa.” Yasu said, though I knew he would if he couldn’t get Himari’s attention.
I finished up our food and then Yasu and I were taking the trays to the study, where Mitsunari and Himari were. Though Yasu was the younger of our two children, he was always helping me to take care of his big sister…since she was SO much like her father. She even looked like Mitsunari, while Yasu favored me, though he still had Mitsunari’s eyes.
When we arrived into the study, we found Mitsunari and Himari sitting beside each other, their eyes locked on the books they held in their hands. “Mitsunari, Himari, time for lunch.” I said as we came in, though neither of them moved or even seemed to take notice as we sat the trays down.
Yasu sighed. “You get Papa and I’ll get Himari.”
We were then moving, I took the book from Mitsunari while Yasu took Himari’s book. Father and daughter both took a moment to realize their books had been taken from them before looking up. “Oh, Ava, Yasu, when did you get in here?” Mitsunari asked, smiling his usual angelic smile at us.
“Is it lunch time, already Mama?” Himari asked, looking up at me.
I nodded. “Yes it is, and we just walked in.” I answered both of them. “Now, come on, let’s all eat together.”
We were all sitting down then, Himari was reaching for the tea pot, but Yasu quickly stopped her. “No, I’ve got it.” He said, knowing how clumsy she was…just like Mitsunari.
“I can do it.” Himari replied. “Let me get you tea for once.”
“No, I like helping.” Yasu told her gently. He was then pouring the tea for both of them and for Mitsunari and I as well.
“You’re such a good brother.” I whispered to Yasu, patting his head.
“This looks quite delicious.” Mitsunari commented. “Though…do I see…carrots?”
“They’re good for you and I did cut them into hearts again.” I replied.
“They are better that way.” Mitsunari replied, though he still wasn’t necessarily a big fan.
“Do I have to eat them, mama?” Yasu asked, this was one of the areas where he DID take after Mitsunari.
“I put lots of love into them.” I replied.
“It’s just carrots.” Himari said, plucking them up with her chopsticks and eating them.
Yasu nodded and then ate the carrots…though reluctantly. We sat together, eating and chatting, enjoying the meal. Once we had finished and cleaned up, I declared that I thought it was time for MItsunari and Himari to take a break. “Come on, let’s go for a walk in the garden.” I suggested.
“We do need to get some exercise and sunshine and fresh air.” Mitsunari agreed.
The four of us were heading outside, Mitsunari and I holding hands as Yasu and Himari ran ahead of us. Yasu got Himari into playing tag as they ran out into the garden. “I am glad they can always find a way to have fun.” Mitsunari said, smiling as we watched our children play.
I nodded. “Yes, every day is an adventure for them.”
Mitsunari opened his mouth, ready to say something when Himari ran up to him and touched him on the arm. “Tag, Papa! You’re it!” She declared, giggling before running off.
“Well, it looks like we’re playing too.” Mitsunari said, smiling at me.
“We’re? I guess that means I’d better run.” I said with a laugh before letting go of his hand and running off.
We played with the children till dinner time, laughing and smiling as we did. After dinner, we began our bedtime routines. I gave Yasu and Himari their baths before leading them to their room. Mitsunari was already waiting beside their futon, a book in hand.
“Are you going to read to us, Papa?” Himari asked, smiling brightly.
Mitsunari nodded. “Of course.” He answered. “But you need to get under the covers first.”
Himari and Yasu were climbing into the futon. I tucked them in and settled down beside Mitsunari as he opened the book and put on his glasses. He then began to read aloud from the book. It had taken him some time to get used to reading aloud to the children like this, but he had started to do very well with it and even worked on changing his voice as dialogue or thoughts were changed between characters.
The only problem was, Mitsunari would get absorbed into the book and read well past when the children had fallen asleep. So, I still had to pull him back to reality. When their eyelids had grown too heavy and their breathing had steadied into that peaceful rhythm of sleep, I was gently nudging Mitsunari and kissing him gently on the cheek.
Mitsunari took a moment before turning from the book to look at me and then at our children. “They’ve fallen asleep.” He said, smiling.
I nodded. “Shall we head for our room?” I asked.
“I think I’d like that very much.” Mitsunari replied, shutting the book and putting it away before rising and holding his hand out to me.
I gladly placed my hand in his and allowed him to help pull me up. We both gave one last look to Himari and Yasu, sleeping peacefully and Kitty resting in bed with them (she was a senior Kitty now, but she was great with the children and they loved her).
Once we were in our room, we began getting ready for bed. I had just finished tying my kimono closed when I felt Mitsunari’s arms wrap around me from behind and his chin resting on my shoulder. “Thank you, Ava.” He said, kissing my cheek as he continued to hold me.
I smiled happily. “What for?” I asked.
“For everything you do for me.” He answered. “And for giving me a happiness I never thought I would experience…your love is a gift…and so are the children. I never thought I could be a good father…I’ve never been particularly good with children…but with you by my side…I’ve done better than I thought I would.”
“You are an amazing husband and father, Mitsunari.” I told him, smiling. “Himari, Yasu, and I are all lucky to have you.”
“I am the lucky one to have all of you.” Mitsunari replied. “And especially you, Ava. You have made me a better man…and a father.”
“Those children still wouldn’t be here without you, my love. We made them together.” I reminded him. “I love you, Mitsunari and I love our life.”
Mitsunari smiled warmly at me as he kissed me gently on the lips. “I love you, Ava and I am happy…truly happy.”
“And I plan to keep making you happy for the rest of our lives.”
“As long as my dream continues, I will be happy.”
“You mean…the one…”
“The one where I can create a world where you will always smile.”
“Oh, Mitsunari…” I was turning in his arms, throwing my own around him. I pressed my lips to his in an enthusiastic kiss.
Mitsunari smiled into the kiss as he held me tighter. I truly loved this wonderful man and the life we had built together. And I knew it would stay that way for the rest of our lives.

Gon Freecss
You don’t really remember how it happened in all honesty; a romantic relationship with him would be gradual and it’s just like, you’re friends one day even though you both act so much like a couple and then you just wake up and realize it’s already been a few weeks since you started dating.
I mean, who kisses their best friend good morning and goodbye?
Everyone was constantly on edge with you two, trying to find out what was the exact nature of your relationship, especially Killua.
He’s the one who knocked some sense into Gon.
“Are you dating (Y/N), yes or no?”
Poor boy freeze for a while with his signature smile still on his face and than he just chuckle like:
“Yeah I suppose.”
“You SUPPOSE?!”
That’s it. Killua’s done with Gon’s bullshit.
This genuine angel, blissfully sweet and adorable would treat you so well. It’s in his own way but he’ll always look out for you and have your back, in all and every situations.
Even if he’s usually very oblivious, he’s observant and very in tune with your emotions. He knows whenever something’s up and he’ll immediately do something to cheer you up, be this doing something stupid or going on an adventure with you.
Honestly your relationship isn’t quite different from a friendship.
Dates are always improvised.
“(Y/N), wanna do a picnic today? As a date!”
Doesn’t really care much about PDA. Like he doesn’t mind if you’re uncomfy with it, he just won’t do anything in public. If you’re okay with it, cool!! That means he can kiss you whenever!!
Would always be holding you in some ways.
Hand holding, pinkies locked, clinging to your arm, hugs, cuddles, you name it.
Can be big spoon and little spoon ! He loves having you in his arms so much and talking to you and he can’t get enough of laying on your lap when you both watch a movie or something.
He’d be very invested in your hobbies and just the things you love in general. You like painting, doing sports, music, acting, baking, whatever you might do really, he’s gonna learn right besides you and look closely at what you’re doing.
Gon just think it’s so amazing to see you so excited and passionate. It really makes his heart skip a beat.
I feel like Gon would absolutely use some nicknames/pet names with you but would mostly stick to your name. It feels more natural to him. But there is times where he’ll just use an excessively sweet pet name on you in a joking manner or when he wants you to give up on some activity so you could cuddle with him.
Would randomly buys you gifts. You’re almost 24/7 in his mind so whenever he’s out, he’ll just take you things that made him think of you. Might it be a weirdly shaped branch or a piece of clothing. It really could be anything.
“Here, it’s a heart shaped rock I found on my way here! I thought you might like it!”
You can’t resist his sweet smile and now you cherish the rock and would protect it with your life.
Killua Zoldyck
tsun tsun boy and everyone knows it but him. Point it out when he punches you in the arm after you showed him any type of affection and he WILL punch you again.
How you got together? You made the first move. It takes way too much time for this big dumbass to understand he loves you.
Genuinely thinks you’re just a friend to him until you kissed him on the cheek jokingly one day and he just,,,couldn’t,,,process,,,
It basically hits him like a brick tbh, like “yep man, you fell big time.”
Not much of a difference from before you got together, he always was protective of his friends. Now his soft side is just even softer with you.
Expect a lot of teasing. He really can’t help it. That’s his way of showing love.
“Yo dumbass!” every time he sees you.
Can’t use pet names to save his life, it’s too embarrassing for him. But will definitely enjoy it if you call him “love”. For some reason it makes his heart beat faster and he overall likes it a lot.
He’s baby, big baby, assassin baby but baby anyway. Just kiss his hand and he will be red the rest of the day.
Killua doesn’t like being public in his affections because he’s always scared the wrong person sees you together and indirectly puts you in danger. He’s not wrong, unfortunately.
But behind closed doors? He would cling to you like there’s no tomorrow. You have no idea how much he loves laying down with you and play video games or watch stupid videos with you till 3AM. Little spoon or big spoon depending on his mood and your preferences. He’s fine with whatever as long as you can give him the physical affection he craves (poor boy is touch starved)
Lives to make you laugh and feel happy and good in your skin so you bet that whenever you feel down, he’ll do whatever he can to cheer you up. He might not be the best at it at being a cheerleader but he’s a good listener and will always tell you things in the most straightforward way possible.
“Yeah no, ditch that friend, they sound like a bitch.”
“What do you mean you don’t like your body? You blind now?”
“Y/n, come here. Don’t tell Gon I gave you chocolate and not him, he’ll kill me.”
Personal life coach tho. You don’t know where this boy got all his super good advices (trauma) but you should really follow them, they’re all super useful. He thinks things through twice as much when it comes to you jsut so that he’s sure that he’s helping you as much as he can.
Would totally love styling your outfits. If you were okay with making matching ones with him, he’ll be ecstatic.
Like Gon, he’s super invested in what you love. Will listen to you rambling about any topic with a fond look on his face. Might even try some things with you.
Would die to bake with you for some reason. Killua would really be enjoying doing cookies with his s/o. Especially if they’re Halloween or Christmas themed.
Watch him eat the whole icing before you can even put it on the cookies.
Dates with him would be very casual and lighthearted! He likes them as much as home, binging movies and snacks, as he likes them outside, running around like idiots or jumping in supermarkets carts for fun. Cart races is a must.
You have too many inside jokes with him, it hurts. Kurapika, Leorio and Gon just don’t understand your conversations anymore. You just put your hand on the table and say “waffle” and there’s Killua wheezing all of a sudden.
Honestly, he’s just an amazing boyfriend, 11/10

Josuke’s little girl
Your daughters name Y/d/n
You checked the house number for the 4th time before, this definitely the higashikata household, you rang the door and waited nervously for someone to open up, “Josuke, see who’s at the door”, you recognised that voice anywhere it was tomoko, I never been so nervous about anything before, I hope he’s happy to me see, after a year of only talking to him on the phone, the door opened it to reveal, your beautiful boyfriend in his school uniform, he has a comb in his left hand, when he saw you he dropped his comb to the floor and pulled you in for a hug, you put one arm around his slim waist, you missed the warmth of his body against yours, he looked down to see a toddler holding your other hand
“Who is this?” You picked her up and placed her on your hip, “This is your daughter Y/d/n”, you say bouncing her on your hip because she was now burying her little face in your T-shirt, she’s shy around new people, “Come in I don’t want her getting cold” he closed the door after the two of you and lead you into the living room, you took a seat on the sofa, he sat down on the seat next to yours, “Can I hold her?” He asked eyeing the little one who was still hiding her face, you nodded your head and picked her up and gave her to her father
He was so gentle when picking her up, He looked at her little face and could immediately see himself, her eyes were closed shut, she was so excitedly see him before, “Y/d/n, open your eyes” you told her in a soft voice, she shook her head no, “Don’t you wanna see what daddy looks like?” You asked the small child, “Daddy?” She whispered very quietly, excited to finally meet him, she slowly opened her eyes to look him, but immediately shut them again, there was a little smile on her face, Josuke smiled at her “Don’t worry, Y/d/n were gonna have plenty of time to get to know each other”, he told his daughter in the softest voice
“Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?” He asked watching the toddler who was playing with his oversized heat pin on his jacket, “When I went to study abroad I didn’t know I was pregnant for a long time, but when I realised, I pankier because, I will sound kinda dumb now that I’m saying It out loud but, I thought I was protecting you, I knew your mum would kill you and I didn’t want you to drop out” It definitely didn’t sound all that smart when you said it out loud “You wanted to protect me? you must have gone through hell all by yourself” he sounded so sympathetic “Don’t worry, I had some family helping me”
“So what made you change your mind and finally tell me?” He concentrated on his daughter making sure she doesn’t fall from his lap “Well I knew I had to tell you eventually and my program ended and” you were caught guard when Tomoko poked her head around the door, “Who was it at the door?” Her hard gaze soften when she saw you, she smiled at you as a hello, you smiled back at her but her eyes went wide when she saw a toddler on her son’s lap, “Whose baby is that?” she asked with worry in her voice, “This is our daughter, Y/d/n”, She picked the toddler up from her son’s arms and examined her, “She's got your blue eyes and her hair is already touching her shoulders she's definitely yours” she placed Y/d/n in your arms, “Mom, can you unfreeze my account so I can pay for baby stuff?” josuke asked his mother, with his hands pressed together in a praying motion
“Look, I have to go work, I’ll unfreeze it on the way and you better pay for baby stuff and only baby stuff, but we will talk about the living arrangements when I get back, For the baby’s sake I’ll call the school and tell them that you won’t be attending for a while, She left the room, you here the door open, JOSUKE!, ARE YOU THERE? He walked into the room. Aren't you coming to school today?, he “Hey Y\n it feels like I haven’t seen you in a while, is this your little sister? She is so cute” he crouched down in front, “This is Y\d\n, my, our daughter” Josuke told his close friend, “Does that mean I’m an uncle?” he sounded so excited “I guess so” Josuke replied to back back, “My...name...is ...Okuyasu, I’m your daddy’s best friend in the wwwhhhhooolllee wiiiddddeeee world” he playfully shook her tiny hands, “But you can just call me, uncle yasu”
“Do need to get some baby stuff?, because There’s a huge box of baby things from when my uh Mr joestar, bought all that stuff for Shizuka, I’ll get it” josuke got up from his chair and walked towards the garage, remember josuke telling me that Shizuka is his adopted sister, you thought to yourself, Okuyasu sat down where josuke was sitting, “Y\n can I hold her?” Okuyasu asked “Of course,” you said, she has to start getting used to being around people, it's better to start early you put Y\d\n to her feet, Okuyasu held his arms out for her, she was hesitant at first but, she slowly walked towards, he picked her up, “I'm gonna be the best uncle ever, he said to her holding the toddler on his hip, Josuke came pushing a pram into the room with 2 cardboard boxes labelled baby stuff resting on it, There are every type of, pacifiers, diaper and baby bottles in these two boxes and here's a pram” You smiled at him, “This is perfect Josuke thank you” you got up from the chair and pulled your boyfriend into a hug, can he be any more perfect? You thought to yourself, you stood up on your tiptoes and kissed his chin, he got the hint and leaned down to kiss you on the lips
The phone rang, Josuke broke the kiss to go answer it, “Hello...Oh hi, Koichi….No me and Okuyasu aren't coming in today….It's because I’m spending time with my….daughter...I know it was a shock too but there's no doubt she's mine... okay I’ll see you after school” he put the phone down, “It was Koichi” he walked back to us in the front room, and sat into the other seat, What are we gonna do about a baby crib?
-
A couple of hours have passed, You heard a knock at the door, you went to open it revealing, your boyfriend, and your daughter who was peacefully sleeping in his arms, with his free hands he pushing the pram, which contained two huge bags strapped to where the baby would sit and a baby crib box resting on top of it,
You took your daughter, out of his hands, so he can concentrate on getting everything in, “So how as she?” You asked your boyfriend who was pushing the pram behind you, “She was no bother it didn’t take long for her to open up to me, we were best friends in no time” you smiled at that thought, “Did You make sure to feed her and change her diaper?” You asked raising your eyebrow at him, “Of course, like her father she can eat a lot” A huge smile spread on your face, you picked up one of the bags but your boyfriend stopped you, “Let’s go upstairs”
“Okay, Are you sure your gonna be able to manage that?” He picked up the boxed crib and held it above his head, “Of course I can” you picked up the two bags that were heavy but you to managed and followed behind him, “How did the job thing go?” He asked, “It was alright, I must have given out about 30 cv’s, I’m just hoping a get a call soon” you replied dropping the bags as soon as you take one step in
“How did you get the money to afford all of this?” you asked your boyfriend, who Had put the box down and open it, He didn’t even look at the instructions, but begun suddenly, all of the pieces began to move and fit together as it was magic, you watched in amazement, you knew that josuke has a stand that you’ve never seen, but it will still cool to watch things move around, he leaned his body over halfway and pressed his hands at the bottom of it, “You can put her in here now, it’s sturdy”, he moved out the way so you can put your daughter in, she was still peacefully asleep
You turned to look at your boyfriend “I’m curious to know what you bought” you told your boyfriend talking in a hushed tone to not wake your baby, you picked up one of the bags and started looking through it “I bought someee, jackets, trousers, jeans, shorts, shoes, and I restocked some of my favourite hair products he told you “And for our daughter?” You asked your boyfriend hoping he remembered to get some stuff for Y/d/n, “Don't worry Y/n, I should never forget about the little one, there should be some jackets, shoes, skirts, dresses and some baby grows in every colour” you laughed surprised he bought so much stuff for a one year old
-
It was now nighttime Koichi has now met her, tomoko came back from work and talked to us about our future plans now we have a toddler to look after, now everyone was washed and in bed clothes, You was thinking, You were planning on going home but josuke convinced you to stay, so here you are laying next to him with your head resting on his shoulder “I wish I would have been there when you were pregnant, I would have rubbed your feet back and stomach, you know i would have done all of that for you” you were now gently playing with fingers, “I know, I wasn’t thinking straight I’ve missed you” you turned around so now you was laying on top of him, He started to run circles into your naked thigh,”I’ve missed you too, I missed how soft your skin felt” you later like that until you eventually fell asleep
-
Your opened your eyes and looked around, for your daughter who was supposed to be in her cot, but she wasn’t there, you panicked and called for your boyfriend but he wasn’t beside you, you got up and ran down the stairs in just his T-shirt that you borrowed from him, you sighed in relief when You saw him sitting there with Y/d/n sitting on his cross legs under a blanket, ”Morning Y/n, hope you slept well” he greeted turning to look at you, Y/d/n turning around to look at too, they looked like twins“I was so scared, I thought she wondered out of her cot”, you walked over to the two of them and picked your daughter up from josuke's lap, “Don’t worry Y/n, she was crying and you was sleeping so I thought that I would sort her out, I picked her up and I noticed that her diaper needed changing, I was so tempted to wake you up when I saw the saw all that crap she produced, but I decided that you not to, it wasn’t that bad, and I feed her but when I went to put her down she didn’t want me to, so me and her have just been hanging out” she smiled at the sight of the two of them she’s already so comfortable with him and it hasn’t even been that long
You join the two of them sitting your daughter in between the both of you, Josuke wrapped the blanket around you but was gentle of the little one, you leaned into your boyfriend and put your head on his shoulder, this couldn’t have ended up any more perfect, you thought to yourself as you watched the colours on the screen

Thinking about Mashiro seeing Hop become a "Chosen" in real time. It's defiantly not the focal point of the Hisui arc, (it's probably like a C plot at most, with A being Yasu in Hisui, and B being everyone trying to get Yasu home). On one hand Shiro is like "Oh cool! Someone who's like me!!"(i'm assuming Shiro is Lunala's chosen), But on the other their like "oh no his other half is literally not here, oh no Hop's not fully connected, oh no he's actively avoiding his legendary-". Shiro just silently watching Hop balancing on a edge he doesn't even know is there, so Shiro tries to be supportive in any way without dropping the bomb that Hop's basically soul bonded to one of the most powerful pokemon in the region.
THIS DOES HAPPEN. THIS 100% HAPPENS YOU ARE CORRECT!!!! shiro, being the smart little thing he is, definitely has it figured out that being bonded to a legendary means more than meets the eye, especially since he's been bonded to lunala for a few years now. he himself has actually been apart from his other half (aka solgaleo's chosen) and knows what it feels like for that to happen. it's strangely disorienting and certainly unpleasant when there's distance between them. the difference here is that not only are hop and yasuta regions apart, they have been torn apart by time and space. there's no clear answer to how to fix that, and shiro knows that's even worse. and that's just considering the fact that he's away from that other half, nevermind the fact that he isn't in sync with zacian at the time, so to speak. he's so stressed, so focused on everything else.
mashiro wants to bring it up so badly, but he can't find a way. hop's already stressed to his core, and surely this would only make it worse. he had already wanted to bring it up for some time and was trying to figure out how, but yasuta's disappearance put a wrench in that. there seems to be no good out in the situation, and it adds to his own inner turmoil regarding the whole situation.
unsure of what to do, he figures the best he can do is support hop with absolutely everything he's got and try to take some of the heat off of him. they're working together to try and figure out how to find yasuta, and shiro is inherently connected to the wormholes and already feels like he should have been able to rescue yasuta. this isn't even to mention the nagging feeling that this is all his fault. he tries so hard to find a balance between positivity and realism; his philosophy is sort of "impossible just means we have to learn more! it's all a big puzzle". he's one of the only people who takes hop seriously when he believes that yasuta will come back no matter what. he believes it falls on him to make that happen. he can't let him down. he can't let either of them down. there's a lot at stake, especially with the layer of hop's less established connection with zacian being added onto all of the preexisting stress.
i think hop's connection with zacian also leads them in the right direction of where yasuta is. he has strange dreams that always connect to hisui, and experiences feelings that he knows aren't his own. mashiro is once again the only one to not take it at face value when he says this. he knows it doesn't just boil down to stress. those sudden jolts of fear he gets, that yearning that wakes him up in middle of the night — shiro knows those are not hop's, but yasuta's emotions that he's feeling. but once again, how do you bring all of that up?
i think it boils down to it being a lot of stress on both of them, and the solution to it is complex and unclear, even for someone as smart as shiro.
#this was SUCH a good message thank you i loved answering it#this is something that's been on my mind it intertwines heavily with the B plot! it is quite important#sorry if this is unorganized i had a lot to say and my brain is like. lukewarm soup rn#magnus infodumps#swsh: crimson aegis#sm: twilight astronomer

Hey, i've recently got into the nana fandom and i absolutely loved it and i've come across nana tiktok which is fun but i've noticed many people don't like ren. Apparently they don't like ren because he was just as bad as takumi, toxic, was manipulative, forced nana to do things in their relationship, was obsessed with her, put trapnest first and many fans have concentrated on what ren said about wanting to kill nana. It is mentioned many times in the manga about them wanting to die together which people just ignore. i completely disagree, i believe people that think that have not understood their relationship or ren and nanas intense love for each other at all. Their mutual feelings have been mentioned many times in the manga and i don't understand how fans have twisted ren and nanas relationship into such a bad one. I would love to hear your opinion cause there are not many people that understand the depth of their relationship.
Hello anon!
Well, I have to say I’m surprised about what you’re telling me because actually I’ve always seen Ren as one of the most loved characters in Nana, so no offence to the people who created the Nana TikTok but I think that they are just a “concentration” of Ren haters who went to TikTok because in the rest of the web they couldn’t find anyone else to spread bullshit about Ren XD I mean, comparing Ren to Takumi is a pure heresy...Takumi was manipulative because he has a ego so big that he has always seen himself like the best man in the world, everything he does he does better then the others, so he want people to follow his orders and, more than anything else, he want to have always everything under his control. I’ve always said that I completely agree with Kinoshita when he said that Takumi treats the staff, his bandmates and also all the people near to him like soldiers who just have to support his ideas without expressing their own opinion or contradict him. On the other hand, Ren hasn’t really forced Nana to do anything. I mean, did he forced her to follow him in Tokyo? Hell no, he let her free to decide herself how she wanted to live her life, despite he wanted to stay with her so much. Did he forced her to accept his marriage proposal? No, Nana said yes because she wanted to stay with him. The only thing that he has done (and then he regretted it and admitted he was wrong) is continuing to ask her to live with him despite he knows she was still fighting against her proud and wasn’t ready to come back to him like before, but it’s not that he “forced” her: it’s just that he wanted to stay with her everyday, he wanted to come back after work and find his beloved Nana at home, preparing miso soup and giving him her attentions. Isn’t this what a person in love normally wants?
Ren was obsessed with Nana, but also Nana was obsessed with him. Ok, their relationship had become toxic and they needed to solve a lot of problems, but as you said and as also Hachi said herself, their love was so big and strong that they threaten to collide everytime they met each other. Their love is the biggest, truest, strongest in all the manga. And what abaout Reira then? Wasn’t she obsessed by Takumi? But since she’s the “poor singer princess who felt so lonely”, people defend her obsessive love for him. Ren felt alone too, but unlike Reira he didn’t want to show that so much, he wanted to appear as a hero because that’s what people thought about him, that he was an invicible hero. Actually Ren was probably the most sensitive character in all the manga (and we have seen it, I mean he started to take drugs to kill the pain he felt inside).
About the fact that he said he wanted to kill Nana, as I said I admit that their relationship was come to a toxic point and they needed to talk and be honest and try to solve their problems, but there’s something we have to consider: he said that he wanted to kill Nana, but actually he never tried to do it. You can’t kill someone you love. In the end Ren killed himself while trying to be a better man and stop thinking about killing Nana, that’s what we have to consider. Ren is died while he was trying to make up for his mistakes, which is something that Takumi hasn’t done, so comparing Ren to Takumi is so wrong in my opinion. Also, Ren was honest about this topic with Nana and he told her openly that he was thinking to kill her: she would have been afraid about this, she would have run away from him, but actually she wasn’t afraid at all. She simply said “I will wait for you at the Sanzu river”. She seemed ok with the idea of diying together, it’s a decision that they shared despite it can seem a bad decision to the eyes of many people. Look at their expression in the panels under: Ren’s eyes betray all his pain, he felt bad because he know that he’s doing something wrong everytime he thinks about killing Nana. Ren was aware that it wasn’t good, he had something that Takumi lacked: the awareness that he was doing something bad. Nana’s expression as I said is totally calm, she doesn’t care about him killing her: she had already said time before that she wanted to die with him.
When Ren died, in the last quote of the chapter Nana said “Hachi, once Ren promised me that he would have taken me with him when he died. I don’t want to be abandoned”. I mean, isn’t this clear enought to understand that Nana was totally ok with the idea of dying with him, even if it wasn’t the best choise? Takumi forced Hachi to have sex with him more than one time, Hachi didn’t want but in the end she surrended: this is more unsane in my opionion, than the decision to die together that Nana and Ren made without being forced.
The only thing I can “blame” Ren for is to have always put Trapnest before Nana. He died while going to fetch Reira, not while going to make up things with Nana and celebrate her birthday. When Search magazine published their secret love story, he just didn’t do anything to protect Nana, he just protected himself and Trapnest. When Kinoshita said him that if he wanted to say something to the reporters he wouldn’t have stopped him, Ren’s answer hasn’t been the one of a man who wants to put his woman first:
In the last panel you can see from Kinoshita’s expression that he was so surprised too, and I admit I was myself when I read it. I’ve felt disappointed by Ren honestly, because his words seemed to me only excuses more than a declaration of love for Trapnest. Shortly after, when Trapnest are in England, while talking to Reira about what Yasu did for Nana (punching in the face a paparazzo and putting at risk his lawyer career) he faced his mistake and he admitted that he won’t be able to do the same for her. He felt so bad after that and he started taking drugs.
All this to say that I agree with you, people who say Ren is like Takumi need to re-read again the manga carefully because they clearly have missed some important points. And yeah, Nana and Ren relationship is so deep that you need to analyze it to understand many things. My suggestion for you: there are other social with Nana groups where I haven’t seen people talking bad about Ren (Tumblr, Facebook, some forums, Instagram, Discord...), so if that TikTok group doesn’t share your opinion and you don’t feel comfortable talking with them, I’m sure there are other people who share your thoughts and would like to talk with you ;) For example @komatsunana has created a Discord group and they are all nice people and don’t hate Ren, so I’m sure she will be happy to invite you if you ask her to join the group! ;)
Thank you for asking and welcome into Nana fandom! ♥

Mountain with a flower crown
As inspired by a post made by @bleachhaven I made a bleach OC. I am very proud of her. This post is her full bio as I laid the ground work of who she is and next post coming in sometime tomorrow or the day after will be a oneshot of this wonderful lady and her partner. Maybe even turn into something more.
The request and the head cannon it resulted were as followed:
Headcanon for Zaraki Kenpachi with a S/O that’s bigger than him (fluff and smut)
wordcount: 5816 ~
it’s a lpt so i hope you’re patient with me. i like going in depth with my OC’s but also this time i tried to keep her simple and leave some space for the oneshot to come. also i already apologize for any possible errors that i might have missed. my eyes are stinging at the time of posting this.
again special thanks to @bleachhaven and also a thank you to @shadowsnlace who also inspired me with their headcanons and i will be using tid bits from their combined effort (they worked seporatly.) in the oneshot of the same name as in the headline.
Verse: bleach manga – bleach anime property of Tite Kubo
Motto: Chop your own wood, it will warm you twice.
Name: Yasu (assertive child, ヤス) Yamase (Yama = mountain ,山 – se = back / spine / stature / ridge , 背 )
Reason or meaning of the name: she was a very large child since birth – and her last name was given because of her large stature that resembled a mountain in comparison to her peers and the fact that she carried the livelihood of an entire village on her back.
Nickname: 1. Ushi-oni (Ox/cow demon - 牛鬼)
2. Yama-0nna (mountain woman/ mountain lady)
Reason for nickname: 1. This nickname bears the weight of an insult and is what she is called by those who have crossed her path and met her as an enemy. They call her that to convey how beastly large and powerful she is and by the extent how unbothered by their attacks she was.
2. This endearing nickname is given to her by the new children of her village. They call her that because she is very large, like a mountain, and also because she has the word mountain in her last name.
Birth date: Oct 1st
Her birth: she was born on the first day of autumn, around 2 A.M (the hour is known as the ox hour) it was a quiet and peaceful night with the owls hooting as the only noise outside.
Place of birth: a small secluded beachside village named “Momo Niwa” (peach, garden/field - 桃,庭) located in district 35 of east Rukongai
Species: soul
Occupation: formerly the hunter, farmer gardener, shepherd, fisherwoman, and the primary breadwinner of her village
Later on: Shinigami (soul reaper)
Age: 556 years old
How old does the OC appear: mid to late twenties (maybe late twenties to early thirties if you account for some significant facial features)
Weight: 363.4 lbs = 164.83 kg
Height: 8’8 = 264.16 cm
Body build: she is 363.4 lbs of pure muscle accumulated by eating a bear (or 3 entier boars down to the bone) a day and shaped with everyday hard labor since she was old enough to have a grip on a tool. She is bulky and strong, able to wrestle with a grown male bear easily, carry multiple three trunks on her back, and if needed pull a tree out of the ground. She is perhaps the single largest soul living in soul society.
The shape of her face: her face is not very feminine, she has a sharp jawline and strong chin. High cheekbones and gentle brows. Her nose while proportionate has been broken twice. The skin of her face while still soft has been wiped with direct sunlight for long periods of time. Her lips are thick and plump with a downward curve that makes her seem constantly annoyed. A small horizontal scar on her right cheek from where she was attacked by an angry wild cat as an inexperienced hunter. A scar on her upper left forehead near her hairline from when she fell off a three as a child (there is a very small bald spot there due to the scar tissue) and a thick but short diagonal scar under the right corner of her lip leaving it slightly misshapen.
Eye color: light gray – almost white if looked at from afar.
Eyesight: exceptional
Skin tone: as a child, she had fine pale skin, but as the years went by and time spent on the field or the beach her skin changed, and now it’s rough, leathery, and tanned – however, some parts of her body that have never been under the direct sunlight are still moonlight pale.
Distinguishing marks: the scars on her face. Her physique. Scaring around her feet and hands due to hard labor and occasional fights.
Predominant features: the sheer size and height of this woman.
Hair color: a dark reddish-brown with a few gray streaks amidst them. The gray parts make her seem older than she is.
Hair type: wavy, wild, and unkempt. She rarely has enough time or patience to properly care for them.
Hairstyle: the majority of her hair is usually either in a high ponytail or a bun to keep out of her face with a simple old blue ribbon that’s almost ragged by this point due to extensive use. The gray streaks are kept in small braids decorated with beads, feathers, and animal teeth or bones. (insisted by her village elders as hair decoration speaks of position in her village)
Voice: surprisingly has a soft and gentle voice that seems unusual for her throat. Make no mistake she is not quiet nor meek. She has loud booming laughter that is guaranteed to shake the house and her voice can easily be heard over others in a loud crowded room. But her speech pattern is gentle, polite, soft-spoken, and calming. She speaks with a reassuring sense of confidence that will make everyone listen and heed her words.
Overall attractiveness: she is not considered conventionally beautiful nor attractive; especially by feminine standards. She is simply too large, too tall, and too muscular to be the image of the traditionally graceful innocent flower petal that women are perceived as. Instead, she is considered rather handsome. In a manly, reliable kind of way that makes a woman to be attracted to her more than men. As most men don’t like courting girls that tower over them both figuratively and literally.
Physical disabilities: due to her height and weight, her knees and ankles are prone to joint pain and are in need of getting an ointment and herbal massage every once in a while. She may be very strong but the same muscles that made her so, also take away from her speed and she usually is more of a slow and steady kind of worker than the speedy type. She also used to have a difficulty in controlling her strength and had very loud and heavy steps and as a hunter that was a disadvantage. She has long since corrected her steps and is now as quiet as a wild cat while hunting and is quite good with her hands now but she is still rather slow.
The usual fashion of dress: as a child, she would wear normal clothing but as she continued to grow at an abnormal rate her clothes began to consist of multiple Yukatas and Kimonos sewn poorly together to make one dress that is big enough for her to wear comfortable and decently.
Favorite outfit: an utilitarian Yukata that is made of multiple dark-colored and green-colored fabrics that she uses for hunting and a winter coat made of only white rabbit skin.
Jewelry or accessories: No earrings, necklaces, or rings only hair decorations made of seashells, feathers, carved bones, and teeth.
Personality: Hardworking, steel true, and blade straight, Yasu is the primary breadwinner of her small village and responsible for the care of many elders, pregnant women, and many children along with many injured and otherwise incapacitated souls. She not only hunts, fishes works on fields, collects herbs, fixe tools, and homes, and guards the village against potential harm, but also she teaches everything she was taught and learned herself to the next generation ensuring the survival of her small village. She is primarily a noncombatant as her imposing sight alone wards off any potential threats and due to her size and strength she rarely needs to exert herself and to this day she has not been physically challenged (not since the first time she wrestled a bear as a child, but then she was mostly unprepared than weaker. Ps. She cried when she accidentally killed it, stopped crying when she realized how tasty the bear is.).
Unless necessary she rather not partake in violence, as a hunter she was thought that a kill must be clear and clean sparing the pray from unneeded misery and pain. If forced, however she is not a pushover, and while still does not partake in needless violence will effectively and immediately remove the assailant from her and her associates' vicinity by picking them up and throwing them away over her head.
She grew up in a village that predominantly had many fragile and weak people and thus not only she gained mastery over her strength but also was raised with the duty of the caretaker. She may have been one of the younger children of her village at the time, but since she was the largest and strongest many of the manual labor was placed on her shoulders and so she grew to have a habit of being everyone’s mother, to care for their well-being, eating habits, if their sleeping well, fixing their clothes if it’s untidy and even bathing them. (She was strong enough to safely carry the pregnant women to the bath, wash them safely and carry them back with no problem, or help those that had injured arms or legs in bathing)
She is, as formerly mentioned, very soft-spoken and quiet and never feels the need to yell or raise her voice as her sight alone demands unwavering attention. She is well respected as the breadwinner of an entire village as is dutiful to be deserving of that respect. She rises early morning before the birds – the elders' joke that she wakes up the sun every morning ) and goes to bed later than everyone on the nights that she doesn’t stand guard all night (again the elders' joke that she either stays up to make sure all the stars are accounted for or that she keeps guard of the moon as well.)
She knows there’s a time and a place for everything, a time to be respectful, a time to be playful, and a time to be forceful. She put her duty as the caretaker above all else.
She hates it when people think she’s older than she is because of her hair and battered face.
She holds on to a very old superstition that drinking boar blood mixed with milk makes children grow to be strong, completely ignoring the parts that the superstition is about “sons” and not daughters and that she is not a “CHILD” anymore.
She may act humbly, but secretly she loves how large she is. The only time she ever hated her height is when she entered Shino Academy and all the doorframes were too short for her and her dorm room was ridiculously small for her built. And for that, she prefers to sleep on the rooftop.
She genuinely enjoys hard labor and will always offer to carry items for others and if she senses that someone is getting tired she will carry them on her shoulder With delight.
While she is a well-spoken person, if she meets someone she is annoyed with or particularly have done something to warrant her contempt towards them, she starts calling them a very specific insult she never normally uses and only reserves for those she dislikes. “Puny/tiny man” for the men and “ladybug” or “little caterpillar” for the woman. (Ex: *smiling politely* be careful little ladybug/puny man, it would be a shame if I accidentally stepped on you. – She has only ever used this insult twice to this day) and on the other hand, she particularly likes someone, she will make them flower crowns and jewelry made of bones and teeth of animals if they are girls (or they like jewelry) and make hand-carved hunting knives and fur coats for the men.
She prefers to bathe in a cold lake as oppose to use warm water or use an Onsen.
When she finally partakes in combat, she is without a doubt both an unmovable object and an unstoppable force. she prefers to detain her opponents with Kido or Hakudo and if forced break their bones with the hilt or the dull side of her sword and avoid having to cut them down. (She says: a blade is for slaying and not for playing.) if due to specific circumstances; she were to aim for her opponent's death, they will die as quickly and painlessly as possible within a day – if the numbers are high – she makes it seem as if her opponents are mere animals that she needs to put out of misery as quickly as possible and not prolong their suffering. (on one specific occasion where she was disarmed, she held her opponent in a tight hug and crushed his entire spine and rib cage, killing him. – She was miserable and depressed for days afterward, and proceeded to dig an honorable grave for the man.)
Moral: she is dutiful and puts it above all else. When she mush kills, she will make it as fast and painless as possible. And only when it’s necessary. She rarely becomes physical with anyone. she believes she’s stronger than anyone she knows and doesn’t see the need to assert herself in such away.
Self-control: fairly high. She is a very disciplined individual both physically and mentally.
Motivation: the satisfaction of achievement through hard work. By the sweat of her brow and the strength of her mountain-like back.
Discouragement: realizing her size may prevent her from perfecting an action. Or realizing she may have to resort to violence.
Intelligence level: she may not be the most intelligent, but she is wise for her age and has great life experience. Her intuition and deduction skills have saved her from many sticky situations.
Confidence level: she is not arrogant or boastful but she is without a doubt very confident and assured of her capabilities. Of her strength, skills, and intuition. As well as the leadership skills that she acquired through the years.
Mood the OC is in most often: peaceful and relaxed yet focused on the task at hand.
Sense of humor: she has heard every tall joke and buff girl joke there is and is bored of hearing them but she will use at least 1 a day. Lesbian and butch jokes annoy her. She has heard every crude joke an individual can think of. Personally, associates with dark humor. Will hopelessly laugh at shitty puns.
The greatest joy in life: once in her life she had nothing to do so she sat by the beach and laid on the sand listening to the sound of the waves and allowed the children to braid her hair with flowers and colorful ribbons, and that is the greatest feeling she ever had.
Greatest fear – why: to grow old and die in the same village she was born into without ever leaving it. While she is grateful to the people who raised her she doesn’t want her life to have begun and ended in a secluded village by the beach without ever having seen much beyond the woods and the shore.
What would throw the OC’s life in turmoil: the times where she had to kill, especially if the death was A) unintentional due to her uncontrolled strength as a youth and B) done with inappropriate weaponry that caused a slow death and prolonged suffering.
Most at ease when: surrounded by children or people that are younger than her. When surrounded by loved ones. When hearing the sound of running water that reminds her of the shore she grew up in.
Enraged when: insulted, annoyed for too long regarding petty things, teased for her graying hair or size for too long, if someone decides to attack someone smaller and weaker
Trauma: this goes back to when she was a very young child. At the tender age of seven, when she was all but a doe-eyed child, she would eat as much as 3 times a grown man – by that time she was about as tall as a teen – so it’s understandable that on a specially cold winter the village became short on rations. Instead of telling the child to eat less, the villagers lessened their rations for the children and Yasu. For that reason that winter 5 of the older and weaker villagers passed away. Yasu was not told this until she was a good 200 years old, and when she realized this is the reason why her “Yuudai sofu” (grandfather Yuudai) passed away. she was traumatized to a point of losing her appetite and starving herself for the next two years that she grieved. then she returned, vowed she would repay her family every grain of rice a thousand fold and every drop of milk ten thousand.
Prejudice: a general disdain for those who are physically capable but refuse to “cut their own wood” or “pull their weight”. She came from a village where it was an unspoken rule that the youth – and generally those who are capable – must look after those who cannot do so/ the old. and also a disdain for those who take the hard work of others for granted.
Favorite activity – hobby: when she doesn’t have anything particular to do she likes to sit down under a tree and either carve wood and bones into hunting knives or make flower crowns.
How does the OC feel about herself: she is comfortable in her own skin. Never really thinks about her appearance nor does she compare herself to others. She is content with who she is and the work she does.
One word to describe herself: reliable
One paragraph of how would she describe herself: “I think I’m reliable. I would like to think that I am. It’s my duty as the capable one to look after the others. I do enjoy working, I never seem to be able to sit down idly. Makes me fidgety. (Chuckles.) By the way, you seem tired! Need me to carry you? (Bends down) come now don’t be shy the weather is nice up here!” (Points at her shoulders making a tall joke)
Her best and worst personality trait is based on herself: “Oooooh, I’m not sure. I think my best trait is that, well, I’m reliable. And very sturdy. (Laughs.) my worst trait? I don’t know. I work too hard? Don’t take as many breaks as I should? I feel like I’m bragging.”
Her best and the worst physical trait is based on herself: “Hmmm. I never thought about that. I guess I do like that I’m tall and strong. I can take care of everyone like that. Reach the high shelves for them and pick them up when they're tired. I guess I don’t like my graying streaks? Makes people think I’m older than I actually am. “
How others perceive her: Villiger child said. ”Yama-Onna- san is the best! She picks us up and swings us around and around until we get dizzy and then she brings us fresh peaches every afternoon. She saved Aki-chan from a mean boar once. We love Yama-Onna- san sooo very much.”
Villager woman: “Aah, yes. I do know Yasu- chan. She is wonderful. A dutiful, wonderful, kind person. I remember when I was with child and couldn’t walk. She would always pick me up so gently and take me to bathe and take very good care of me. Not to mention she'd always make special rabbit soup for me to make sure I was well fed. She fixed my room when it was broken too. Such a handy girl she is. If only she were a man, I think I wouldn't mind a husband like her.” (she laughs as a man’s grumble comes from inside her home.)
The opinion of other people in general: “seeing her for the first time she may look frightening and imposing but in truth, she has the gentle heart of a bunny. Give her a chance to show you who she is rather than what she looks like. She may look like an imposing beast; but she’s about as harmless as a sweet little chipmunk. “
Does she hide her (true) opinion on other people: not particularly. Even when speaking the truth she will make sure to phrase it politely and gently.
The person she hates the most: lazy people in general – or that least lazy people who are ungrateful
Best friends: Hinamori Momo, Kotetsu Isane, Ise Nanao
Persons she avoids: Kurotsuchi Mayuri, Soi Feng
Person, she feels awkward with: Hitsugaya Toshiro (so small), Hirako Shinji (that weird smile), Soi Feng (so loud for someone so small)
The person she openly or secretly admires: Zaraki Kenpachi (he is up to my chest, very tall), Ise Nanao, Kuchiki Rukia
How she thinks others perceive her: Ushi-oni, imposing and scary (which makes her a bit sad)
One thing she would change about herself: the gray hair, maybe make herself a little shorter – just a little – enough that her head wouldn’t hit the door frames all the time.
Her main logic of the world: Chop your own wood, it will warm you twice.
You can either dream or work to achieve that dream.
You won't always be motivated, you must learn to be disciplined.
By the sweat of your brow and the strength of your back, and the blood in your veins. Anything can be achieved.
When there’s a will there’s a way.
Depressed or sad when: she does something she deems cruel. doesn’t have anything to do. Her friend is in the middle of something she can’t help them with. When away from Kenpachi for too long. Sometimes she misses her mothers, father figures and her village.
Priorities: duty first. And not just work duty. Her duty to herself. Her duty to her romantic partner/ spouse. Her duty to her friend. Her duty to nature, her duty to her conscious. Her duty to her mothers.
Life philosophy: hard work pays off. Always. Not always in the ways, we want or we think we want. But always pays off in some way.
Soft spot – is it obvious or not: she has a giant soft spot for children and people who are physically very small even by normal standards. (namely, Hinamori Momo. Hitsugaya Toshiro, Kuchiki Rukia) – it couldn’t be any more obvious – she makes them flower crowns every day without fail)
Greatest strength: other than her bulging biceps? Her great leadership skills and hard-working nature.
Vulnerability or weakness: deep down she does feel weird and vulnerable about her size, after all, she is still a girl, and about the time she was 150 or so she was deeply sensitive when a guy would call her Ushi-Oni. Just because she was taller than everyone else. Although now she knows logically she shouldn't feel bad about herself and her appearance there are still times she feels embarrassed when she knows she can’t wear a beautiful Kimono because A) they don’t have it in her size and B) she realizes it wouldn’t be good on her as it would on someone like Ise Nanao or Kuchiki Rukia
Biggest regret: accidentally killing that bear, not realizing her eating habits were putting a strain on the village sooner
Minor regret: not learning feminine skills (sewing, tea etiquette, etc.)
Biggest accomplishment: becoming a Shinigami
Other accomplishments: mastering the sword, archery, trapping, fishing, tracking, and finding her way based on stars – making a full garden of peaches from only 3 peaches she bought – building a small fishing boat (albeit a flimsy one) – raising the number of the village livestock exponentially.
Past failures: she failed many times in almost everything she started. It’s not important how many times she failed in what, what’s important is that she is now more skilled than the average souls and Shinigami.
Embarrassing moments: her first 3 weeks at Shino Academy they didn't have a uniform her size so until they make one her size she was heavily underdressed. (the pants were only to her knees and the upper half was more like a tight short-sleeved vest. She preferred to wear her usual clothes but wasn’t allowed to. The moment Captain Hitsugaya who had come to the Academy on work-related matters saw her state of indecency he threw a fit and demanded appropriate clothing for a lady. – Yasu wanted to die at that moment.)
Darkest secret: she secretly, very deep down, is annoyed that no one else is half as strong as she is. And wishes there was someone she could find that she didn’t have to hold back for.) (*wink wink* foreshadowing *wink wink*)
Skills: life skills: 1. wielding a club
2. archery
3. trapping
4. pathfinding using stars
5. fishing
6. trapping and hunting and skinning animals
7. wood carving, bone carving, and tool building in general
8. cooking
9. farming, gardening
Incompetence: 1. Sewing
2. tea brewing
3. anything to do with speed or agility
4. patience in anything other than hunting
5. strategizing in anything other than hunting
Strength – talent – powers: Shinigami based: 1. professional Zanjutsu
2. advanced levels of Kido
3. unrivaled Hakudo
4. passable Hoho
Habits: 1. she stubbornly sticks to the superstition of drinking mill mixed with boar blood is good for health and strength. (even though the superstition says it’s good for little boys to grow strong and healthy and she is neither a boy nor a child.)
2. She prefers to take cold bathes even in midwinter.
3. Sleeping outside – unless provided with a big enough room.
4. Braiding her hair and making flower crowns when she is bored or nervous.
The organization involved: Gotei 13, Squad 10. (as the third seat officer)
Income: standard seated officer Shinigami income + overtime
Job satisfaction: doing all the paperwork as fast as possible (even those that aren’t hers… LOOKING AT YOU MATSUMOTO RANGIKU)
Health: as is expected of someone her size she is very healthy seldom gets sick. Her knees and ankles need a herbal and ointment massage now and then due to the pressure of caring for her weight.
Childhood life: on a particularly warm summer evening a woman by the name of “Hatsume” comes across this small village begging for a small room so she can have her child in peace. The villagers of course all this and the woman spends the next two months peacefully waiting for her child. The villagers assumed she must have multiple sons as her belly was greatly swollen but by the time the child was born, it was revealed that “Hatsume” was right and she only had one child. One little girl.
Actually no, she had one big girl. A girl so big, that she broke her mother’s hips as she was coming out resulting in the death of her mother. Originally the midwife –“ Obba-chan Harumi” – deemed it a bad omen and wanted to drown the child but was convinced otherwise by the rest of the women. Thus the newborn was given to “Riko” another woman who had recently lost her weak child due to heatwave. She named the child “Yasu “ and accepted her as her own child and fed her until she no longer could.
Apparently “Yasu” was a very hungry child and drank her mother dry within a few months, and so she was given to another woman named “Natsuko” who also raised her as her own alongside her son named “Tadashi”. And so, until Yasu-chan was old enough to eat solid food she was cared for by the collective effort of 10 women. (Riko-san, Natsuko-san, Haruko-san, Kaede-san, Usagiko-san, Amaya- san, Yuria-san, Ikuko-san, Minako-san, Sakue-san) and as a child, she grew to eat 3 times a grown man and as an adult, she eats 9 times the average man as a moderate ratio (she can eat more)
Best memories: 1. sitting by the ocean with her 10 mothers and their other children making flower crowns and listening to the sound of waves.
2. Learning how to carve knives and sitting next to her “Yuudai-gi” and making hunting knives.
Worst memories: 1. sitting at the grave of “Yuudai-gi” now knowing why he died
2. Barring her mother “Kaede-san” after she fell ill
Alignment: bounces between lawful chaotic and chaotic lawful – sometimes lawful neutral
Short-term goal: accomplish daily duties to the best of her abilities.
Long term goal: live her life to the fullest and learn to relax and have fun without worrying
The most defining moment in her life: deciding she’s prepared the kids of her village enough and leaving them to become a Shinigami.
Type of childhood: certainly eventful, but all in all nurturing
First memory: her first and oldest childhood memory is being surrounded by many women cooing at her (her motherers) and one in particular saying something about giving her boar blood with milk.
Most important childhood memory: her first successful hunt, an old limping stag.
Childhood hero: Yuudai-gi
Education: thought by the rest of the villagers. Mostly focused on practical information – learned how to write and read when she had nothing better to do by her mothers.
Family: mothers: Riko-san, Natsuko-san, Haruko-san, Kaede-san, Usagiko-san, Amaya- san, Yuria-san, Ikuko-san, Minako-san, Sakue-san
Father figure: Yuudai-gi, Kaoru-gi, Manzo-san, Ikemoto-san, Gihei-gi, Sotaro-san
Siblings: Tadashi-kun, Ekiken-kun, Toyozo-kun, kenji-kun, Hachigoro-kun, shigeru-kun, Akeno-chan, Euki-chan ,Mizuki-chan, Mami-chan, Romi-chan, Shizue-chan, Chieko-chan, Asaji-chan, Ochiyo- chan
+the rest of the village.
Relationship with parents: she was well-loved by all of her mothers.
Relationship with siblings: there were arguments as children and there were teasings as children but the older they got the better their relationship became and with her size she became everyone's protector and the helping hand of her mothers.
Spouse – lover – the person of interest: Zaraki Kenpachi, the second Kenpachi and the 11th captain of squad 11 of Gotei 13.
Children: none
Relationship with children: very well.
Other important family members: (her father may or may not have been a member of a branch family sworn to the Kuchiki clan but Hatsume never confirmed anything and died before revealing anything about the father of the child.) later on Yasu says she has no interest of ever finding her father since she already has 6 father figures and an entire village as family.

Poetry describing – quote describing: “she may not have been the innocent cherry blossom, nor the alluring lotus. She may not have been the moon goddess nor the lady sun. she may not have been the enchanting vixen nor the oblivious doe. She may not have been gentle river nor the cherishing wind. She may not have been a princess nor a noble jewel.
Instead, she was unconventionally alluring. She was the reliable oak and the sturdy pine tree. She is the north star guiding travelers home and the early morning twilight, the very beginning of a gentle, warm touch waking you up. She is the dangerously alluring owl and the coyote that mates for life. She is the iron shield you carry to war and the rock you lean on. She’s the hard-working peasant girl in the rice field and The silver O-Choko cup, the only thing the beggar refuses to sell.”

Nekoma Manager: Defender of First-Years and Kenma (4/?)
“Oi!”
The sound grabbed the attention of the Karasuno team members coming out of the bus.
The call had come from Kuroo, who was walking with the rest of the Nekoma volleyball club third-years and Kenma.
“Kiyoko-chan!” (Y/N) waved, bounding up to her friend.
The two girls had unsurprisingly gotten along very well during the practice match they had a few months ago. Since then, they exchanged numbers, continuing their friendship through texting and talking over the phone. Both already had a lot in common from having to deal with rowdy teenage boys in a volleyball club for two years.
“Hmm,” (Y/N) tilted her head at the short girl hiding behind Kiyoko. “Could this be the Yachi-san?”
Kiyoko nodded to her friend. “Yachi-san, this is (Y/N). She’s the Nekoma volleyball club manager.”
(Y/N) waved at the small girl, smiling at her blushing face. “Hi Yachi-san! I’m (L/N) (F/N)! I’m so glad you decided to become a manager! Kiyoko was worried she wouldn’t be able to find a replacement for her once she graduated.”
Yachi slowly came out from behind Kiyoko, and returned the older girl’s greeting. “Nice to meet you (L/N)-senpai! I’ve heard a lot about you as well!” Scared that (Y/N) might have misunderstood, she quickly added, “All good things!”
The Nekoma manager smiled warmly, reassuring the girl that there was no misunderstanding. “Haha, that’s a relief! Although if Kiyoko said that I was annoying, I would understand. I like to pester her with my constant texting.”
Kiyoko couldn’t help but frown at her friend’s words. “(Y/N)-chan, I told you it’s never a bother. I always look forward to your texts.” She stated, making (Y/N)’s smile widen.
“Ah, Kiyoko-chan! You’re making me blush.” (Y/N) replied, covering her cheeks with her hands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After everyone got off the bus, the two groups headed towards the gymnasium.
(Y/N) ended up walking between Kuroo and Daichi, squinting suspiciously at the two. Kuroo glanced at her with a raised brow.
“What?”
“Are you guys not going to do your passive aggressive handshaking today?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Kuroo innocently shrugged.
She had more follow-up questions, but didn’t have a chance to ask due to a certain Nekoma member.
“G-g-g-“ A loud voice cried in anguish ahead. “Girls! There are two of them now! Now they’ve got a pretty one and a cute one!” Taketora’s wailed. “Two female managers! How unfaaaair!”
(Y/N) stopped alongside the two captains, watching the scene unfold with a look of disgust. Kuroo didn’t even try to hold in his laughter, while Kenma shook his head and returned to his video game.
“(Y/N)-chan, I think Nekoma needs a female manager!” Kuroo snickered, patting her head in pity.
“What am I, a fucking potato?” She asked, elbowing the captain in his stomach, changing his laughing to a groan of pain.
“(Y/N)-senpaaai” The Nekoma boy with the mohawk whined, running over to them. “Can we get a girl manager? Karasuno has two now!”
Kuroo doubled over, laughing/crying his eyes out, while their vice captain, Kai, and star libero, Yasu, could only watch their kouhai’s impending doom unfold by his very own actions. Not wanting to have to deal with his whining so early in the morning, (Y/N) rolled her eyes in annoyance.
“How ‘bout I quit, and then you can bring in all the female managers you want Taketora?” she suggested to the boy. “In fact, I’ll go ahead and turn in my resignation letter to Coach right now.” She was joking, but was tempted to go through with her words, since it meant she could be back at home sleeping right now instead of having to deal with this nonsense.
Taketora’s eyes widened with fear, suddenly gripping to his manager’s legs in desperation. “No senpai! That’s not what I meant. Please don’t leave us! Pleeeeease!”
“Oi, let go of her you idiot.” Yasu griped, walking up and pulling forcefully on his kouhai’s ear. “She’s really going to quit if you keep this up.” So, Taketora had no choice but to follow his senpai, who was painfully pinching his ear, into the gym, while continuing to apologize.
“I don’t get paid enough to do this.” (Y/N) muttered, before Kenma spoke up.
“You don’t get paid at all.” Kenma responded, not bothering to look up from his game.
“You’re right.” she realized, before thinking. “You know, I should just quit and get a job where I actually get paid.”
“Eh, (Y/N). You say that, but I know you’ll miss us if you do.” Kuroo teased, poking her cheek.
(Y/N) swatted his finger away, scoffing but unable to hide her smile. “You’re right.” She agreed reluctantly. “I would miss Kenma too much.”
Kenma tried to not look affected by her words, but failed when a blush creeped up on his face.
“Aw, Kenma! Are you blushing?” She hugged the boy gleefully, making his face turn from pink to red.
Kuroo watched the two with a pout. “What about me (Y/N)?”
“Getting away from you is the most tempting reason of all to quit.” she deadpanned.
“I’m hurt (Y/N),” Kuroo pouted, resting his chin on the top of her head. “Should I plead like Taketora did to convince you otherwise?”
“If you want a black eye, sure.” she shrugged, used to his teasing.
“Can you even reach that hi-“
“Kuroo! (Y/N)-chan!” A voice yelled ahead of them.
Bokuto was waving frantically at her from the gym entrance, his wide eyes filled energy. Next to him was Akaashi, shaking his head at his friend’s antics.
(Y/N) sighed at the scene, not having enough energy to put up with both Taketora and Bokuto in one morning. “Join the volleyball team they said. It’ll be fun they said.” she sighed again. “More like a pain in my ass.”
Kuroo grabbed her shoulders from behind, pushing her towards the duo. “Come on Potato-chan. The more you ignore him, the more annoying he’ll get.”
“Hai, hai.”
hey, so your requests are open. I loved your foreign mc and latina mc headcanons! 💗 just wondering if you could do something based on the latina one. Mc is like a strict latina mom. When they get angry at someone, they take off their sandals and start hitting/threatening the person with it in angry Spanish. Or, they just grab anything really. Even the ronins are scared of them but they’re surprisingly good with kids. Sorry if this is too long, love 💕
◉_◉Anon; (Masamune, Hideyoshi, Nobu, Ieyasu and Yuki) and one for the IkeVamp boys (Comte, Leo, Arthur, Theo, and Napo) in which the femMC gets involved in a girl fight and she goes 21st c on them? ❤️
Hi, hi dears! 🦋🌻Thank you so so much for the requests! ❤🥰Also, soooorrrryyyy for taking super long getting to this! I think I might make this headcanon week, and catch up on all the HC piling up in my box lol! 😂🦋Anyways hope yall don’t mind that I combined the two asks! I found they were somewhat similar!❤❤🥰🌻🦋
Headcanon: Angry Latina MC feat; Masamune, Hideyoshi, Nobu, Ieyasu and Yuki
Masamune
Masamune is a pretty playful guy so its no surprise that he gets into trouble with his Latina girlfriend now and again (¬‿¬)
He lives for those moments where he pushes you over the edge ever so slightly, where you start swearing at him in Spanish (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Honestly he absolutely loves it, he finds it super sexy (¬‿¬)
One day you were out in the markets, buying some fresh ingredients for dinner you planned to surprise Masamune with
Your hands were full of fresh produce when you accidentally bumped into a soldier (╯°□°)╯
He stared down at you, “Hey watch where you are going you, filthy maid,” he said with a snarl ノಠ_ಠノ
You had honestly had it, with disrespectful men and your angry strict lantana mom mode was activated (♯▼皿▼)
You legit threw the man against his head with an apple, ranting at him in Spanish (╯=▃=)╯︵┻━┻
Masamune had been on the hunt for his kitten ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
He strolled through the markets, as the maids had told him that you were out shopping
And that’s when he spotted you
You were going 21st century on the disrespectful man’s ass, giving him a true Latina smackdown ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
When you were done with him he was bowing down low to you, in an apology, promising that he would treat people better in the future
That’s when Masamune strode to your side and put an arm around your shoulders, “Having fun kitten,” he asked with a broad smile ~(˘▾˘~)
He looked down with pity at the soldier now fearing for his life, as he has had one too many sandal smacks to the head (。◕‿‿◕。)
Masamune simply smiled, as he helped you pick up your fallen ingredients from the floor and helped you carry the stash back home
He was low key thankful that it was not him on the receiving end of the sandal for once (。◕‿◕。)
Hideyoshi
You and Hideyoshi had been dating for a while now (。◕‿◕。)
Often the two of you would walk around the markets together on the hunt for the best tea house to have some tea and lunch at
One day as you were peacefully sipping on some tea and enjoying Hideyoshi’s company (◠‿◠✿)
Something caught your attention ⚆ _ ⚆
You turned to see a woman abusing some poor street child, for messing a drop of water on her fancy kimono
You Latina mom mode was activated
ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
Hideyoshi looked over at you and saw the fires being lit in your eyes, he followed your gaze to see the woman hitting the poor child ◉_◉
Before he even had a chance to react, he saw you stomping your way to place yourself between the child and the woman
You glared angrily at the woman who then started attacking you for interrupting her
( ・ω・)っ≡つ
You legit went all out, pulling her hair and punching her in the gut
At some point Hideyoshi even saw you take off your sandal and hit her with it
(╯°□°)╯︵( .o.)
He ran to your side trying his hardest to break up the fight
Hideyoshi was pulling you away from the woman by your waist as you continued to curse at her angrily in Spanish
“I’m calm, I’m calm put me down Hideyoshi,” his caramel eyes looked into your to see all traces of anger had disappeared, and he let you go ಠ⌣ಠ
Before the mama bear could even scold you, you crouched down in front of the little girl and in the most tender of voices asked if she was alright
You then asked her if she would like to join you and Hideyoshi for some tea and lunch (。◕‿◕。)
Her little eyes lit up in delight, you walked back to the teahouse holding the little girl’s hand leaving a very shook and confused Hideyoshi staring at you (°ロ°)☝
For a scary fighter, you certainly were good with children (ʘ‿ʘ)
Nobunaga
You and your boyfriend had snuck out of the castle to go on a fun trip together ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪
The plan was to spend the day in a flower field away from the business of the castle
Finally the two of you had reached your destination(◕‿◕✿)
You set up the blankie and picnic under the shade of a big tree
Your eyes gleamed in delight when you had noticed that Nobunaga even managed to sneak some sugar candies for the two of you to share
Your relaxing picnic, however, was soon interrupted but a group of ronin appearing from the treeline (;一_一)
“Well, what do we have here, a sweet romantic getaway for two.” They looked at you with a dangerous glint in their eyes (¬‿¬)
Nobunaga drew his sword and glared angrily at the people for interrupting his quiet time with his beloved fireball (/‵Д′)/~ ╧╧
You started swearing and threatening them in Spanish, which causes Nobunaga to smirk smugly (ง'̀-'́)ง
He loved how feisty you were, never backing down from any opponent or challenge, you always stood your ground and even though he didn’t have a clue what you were saying, he always found it incredibly sexy (¬‿¬)
However his smug smile soon turned into a small frown as he spotted a woman ronin among the men ⚆ _ ⚆
You followed his gaze to the woman and grabbed his hand giving it a slight squeeze, “Leave that one to me, this ain’t my first rodeo.” (。◕‿◕。)
He looked down at you and smiled, “Well then fireball lets finish this quickly so we can get back to our picnic.” (◠‿◠✿)
Nobunaga charged at the men, as you now calmly walked towards the woman, “surrender now and no one will get hurt.”
The woman simply scoffed and charged at you
The two of you went hand to hand as you fought (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง
To say you gave her a true 21st-century smackdown would be an understatement (*'Д')ノシ)゚ロ゚)
By the end of the fight you had her tied up and started scolding her in Spanish
Nobunaga couldn’t hold back that proud smirk as he watched his beloved fireball in her element (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
Ieyasu
After a long boring council meeting you and Ieyasu decided to take a pleasant, relaxing stroll through the forest (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
You were gathering some flowers to make the grumpy porcupine a flower crown when you heard a shuffling coming from one of the bushes (◕‿◕✿)
You were on high alert as you approached the bush, sandal in hand, ready to smack any potential attacker ಠ_ಠ
Ieyasu had to stifle a laugh at the scene of you slowly approaching the bush with your sandal held high above your head
“You silly girl its probably just a rabbit” he said trying to hold back his laughter (≧y≦*)
You made your way closer and crouched down, to meet big blue eyes
Your eyes widened when you saw a scared little boy hiding in the bush
You carefully reached out and wrapped the child in your arms as you gently lifted him out of the bush ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
Ieyasu’s eyes widened as he rushed towards you, shrugging off his haori to wrap it around the little boy to keep warm
The boy wore a well known family clans crest
The two of you took the boy back home with you and after cleaning him up, asked him what had happened (◕‿◕✿)
He revealed that he was from one of the clans that allide with Nobunaga and that some assassins had kidnapped him and his mother to use to gain an advantage against Nobunaga (ಥ_ʖಥ)
That night the kidnappers came to Ieyasu’s palace to kidnap the child and finish the job, but when they saw you, an Oda princess they simply couldn’t resist and kidnapped you as well
Ieyasu had gone to report the news of the discovered boy to Nobunaga
You woke up, bound in a dark shed ಠ╭╮ಠ
You gazed around the room and spotted the boy and his mother, fearful and crying
。゚・(>﹏<)・゚。
The kidnappers filed into the room and smiled when they saw that you were awake, “you will serve us well in the downfall of the Oda forces.”
You lost your temper at that and started swearing at them in Spanish, to buy yourself some time to work on your bounds, to free yourself (  ̄^ ̄)
Once you got your hands-free you legit threw the kidnapper’s with any object you could get your hands on, yelling angrily at them in Spanish
(┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
Imagine Ieyasu’s shock when he burst into the shack to see you on top of the attacker hitting one him over the head with your sandal.
He was even more sister shook when he looked around the room to see that all the other kidnappers had already been bound and taught a lesson they would never forget (=゚ω゚)つ)゚∀゚)
Never mess with a woman from the 21 st century
A shiver went down Yasu’s spine, as he watched you continuing to swear at and hit the man
For someone so good with children, you were definitely terrifying
Yukimura
You were happily married with the aloof dufus, and lived together with your four beautiful children (◕‿◕✿)
You were a rather a strict Latina mom, thanks to your own mother being a heavily spirited woman
You were feared far and wide by ronin and thugs and no one dared mess with you or your children lest they wanted to face your wrath
A lesson which Yukimura had not yet learned (¬‿¬)
He had taken your kids out to play in a nearby forest, to give you some well-derived rest from the little gremlins
You honestly loved your children and would dote on them 24/7, they could honestly do nothing wrong in your eyes (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Suddenly missing your small trouble makers, you slowly made your way to the flower field that they were playing
As you got closer you could hear one of your children crying
.·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.
You instantly went into mother must protect mode
̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿
You ran up to your cute little child and overheard the conversation he was having with your dearest husband
“Your okay, little dummy, here look I’ve patched your leg all up, good as new,” Yukimura said in a cheerful tone ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
“Just don’t tell your mother okay, she will kill me if she found out I let you play with Sasuke’s ground spikes” he said as he scratched the back of his head and chuckled ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just then a shadow fell over Yukimura, he didn’t need to turn around to know that you had obviously overheard the conversation and that you were furious ʘ‿ʘ
He braced himself for impact as you whacked him over the head with your sandal, yelling at him in Spanish 。゜(`Д´)゜。
Being married to you for so long and having faced your wrath many a time he was able to pick up the meaning of a few words
He also knew there was only one way to get you to calm down, “Hey you little squirt help me,” your child stared up at his dad, “Nope papa, it’s not my fault you didn’t listen,” he then giggled and ran to play with his siblings
Leaving poor Yukimura to deal with your angry Spanish ranting ¬_¬
I hope you enjoyed this dear and thanks again for the request! ❤🌻🦋
You are there, beyond despair - Chapter 1
Summary: Kanon Nakajima and Yasuhiro Hagakure have been spending the past few weeks together in Towa City. As they get adjusted to their daily routine there, Yasuhiro wakes up telling Kanon that he had a vision -- he will be going home with his mom today. Kanon's reaction to the news is nothing like what she expected from herself.
Read on AO3
It had now been around a week since they’d almost parted ways – a week of small arguments, laughing and crying about sweet nothings; a week of making fun of each other while having each other’s backs whenever danger seemed to draw near. Things had definitely been quite intense, no matter how Kanon looked at it. But somehow, it had eased part of the pain and anger that she’d been holding onto since she’d been made captive.
It didn’t matter that Yasu was part of the Future Foundation anymore, as he clearly was different from most of them. First of all, he wasn’t a skilled fighter – she was the main reason why they’d survived this long in the city. Second, he wasn’t smart or manipulative the way she’d always assumed most of their agents were. He had tried to manipulate her, making her believe that he’d lead her out of the city and be able to protect her, but she’d seen right through him. Besides, it hadn’t taken a long time for her to understand that he was sticking around her because she had money – money he desperately needed to pay his debt to the Kuzuruyu clan.
At that moment, the sun was about to rise. This meant that they wouldn’t be able to stay here much longer if they wanted to stay safe and not have to hurt anyone. Sure, the Warriors of Hope weren’t running the city anymore, but this didn’t mean that it’d stopped being dangerous. Towa City was still filled with its fair share of criminals, and news sources were going on about how the Future Foundation was still looking for the Remnants of Despair, whoever these people were. Regardless of that, the fact that people associated to the Ultimate Despair were still running free implied that constantly hanging around a Future Foundation member was putting her in danger. Kanon didn’t mind, though. She knew they’d manage to save themselves. Besides, Yasu’s talents as a fortune-teller had been useful to them in the past. There was no way he wouldn’t be able to predict it if their lives were on the line, right?
Kanon rolled to her side, facing the sleeping man in the bed that was next to hers. Of course, he was still asleep. He always slept in. No matter how much she told him they he needed to stay alert and get out of bed as soon as the first rays of sun began peeking through the window of whatever place they’d chosen as shelter for the night, she still had to wake him up herself. It was almost as though she had to do everything for him. Still, as much as she complained about it, she didn’t mind it too much. It may have been weird, but something about his company and the way they interacted with each other made his flaws tolerable.
So, as per usual, Kanon sat up in bed and quickly fixed her hair before shaking him awake. She’d tried nicer approaches before but had quickly learned that the only way to get Yasu out of his slumber was to be rough.
“Ugh, you could be gentler when you do this, Kanon-cchi!” was what Yasu greeted her with, just like he did every morning.
“Well, how many times did I tell you to wake up before the sun even rises, idiot? Don’t you realize that if you could simply do as you’re told, I wouldn’t have to touch you like this,” she replied, making a face as if to show her disgust towards him.
“Alright, alright, I’m sorry!”
“Yeah, just pick your stuff so we can go, already,” Kanon shrugged, picking up her bag. “You wouldn’t want one of these mysterious Remnants of Despair to find us now, would you?”
“They’re not going to find us!”
“Huh?” She turned to him, raising an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“I had a vision before falling asleep last night,” he started, wrapping a loose hair tie around his dreadlocks. “I’m going to see my mom and go home today.”
Kanon shivered, blinking to make sure she’d understood what Yasu had just told her. Were they really going to go home today? She knew the things he’d predicted about their futures had been quite accurate since they met, but what if he was wrong? And if he weren’t, what would happen to her? He’d mentioned that he would see his mother and go home, but he hadn’t said anything about her, had he?
“Now, now, Kanon-cchi, what’s the long face for? Think you’re gonna miss me?”
“No, thank God, you won’t be holding me back anymore,” she laughed, heading towards the exit of the building. “It’ll be much easier to just look after myself, you know?”
“There, there,” Yasu chuckled, patting her shoulder. “You don’t have to pretend to hate me now that you know I’m not gonna be around anymore. We did have some good times together, didn’t we? No point in pretending they never existed.”
“Like, when I saved your ass from all these Monokumas?”
“I mean, that’s one of the examples, but that’s not the only thing we’ve been through!”
Kanon rolled her eyes, stepping outside. The sun was beginning to shine its blinding, crimson light on Towa City. She hadn’t cared about how different the outside world looked when she had first gone out after spending a year in captivity. She’d understood that things were now a lot more dangerous than she remembered them right away, but at least she was free. And with that hacking gun she’d stolen from that dead Future Foundation member, she felt invincible. Today was different though – she wished the sun could have stayed shining on the other side of the world instead of hers. Did that mean that she’d already grown tired of her freedom?
No, that couldn’t be it – if it were, it would mean she was falling into despair again, which couldn’t happen until she’d get the chance to find out if she truly did want to avenge Leon Onii-chan by killing some Future Foundation members.
She wasn’t falling into despair, and it had nothing to do with Yasu and I probably having to part ways soon. She probably was just tired from all the things that had been happening to her recently. Regardless, she sure as hell was not going to give up.
-
“It’s gotta be around here! At least, it looks hell of a lot like what I saw in my vision!”
Yasuhiro was excited. After weeks spent in Towa City in a failed attempt to gather the money he needed to pay his debt and return to his peaceful existence with his mother, things were finally about to come to an end. At this point, he wasn’t thinking about ways to borrow Kanon-cchi’s credit cards anymore. He was only eager to go home and have things be normal, at least for a short while.
He understood very well that the Tragedy, and everything it’d changed in the world, meant that nothing would ever be the exact same again. But a few days of normalcy in the apartment he shared with his mom was everything he wanted – well, that and maybe a little bit more time with Kanon-cchi.
It was true that, at first, he’d stuck around her because she’d saved him. Once he’d realized she was the daughter of one of the richest families in the country, he’d told himself that he was after her money, nothing more. But the uneasiness he’d felt after he’d found out about her feelings towards her cousin and the Future Foundation, as well as how easy it’d been for him to forgive her – after she had damn near killed him! – and decide to stay in Towa City with her even though he could have very well escaped, made him feel as though there was a little bit more than purely practical reasons as to why he’d spent these weeks with her. He blamed it on his physical attraction towards the young woman. Just how long had it been since he’d had a girlfriend, anyway?
No, I don’t want her to be my girlfriend, he thought. It’s just that she’s kinda cute! Yeah, she’d be a terrible girlfriend – she’s always nagging about this and that and she’s so impulsive sometimes. Still, I enjoy being around a pretty girl! It’s normal for a guy my age.
“Is that… Her?” Kanon-cchi asked, pointing towards what probably used to be an important office for the Towa Corporation.
“Yeah! That’s right!”
It didn’t take more than two seconds for Yasuhiro to entirely give up his train of thought about his relationship with Kanon-cchi. His mother was there, standing around smoking a cigarette, just like he remembered her. He hadn’t seen her in years. Nothing mattered more to him than reuniting with her.
“Mooooooooooooom,” he called out, sprinting towards her.
-
Angry. That was how Kanon had been feeling since Yasu had run towards his mother without paying any attention whatsoever to her. After everything she’d done for him since he’d almost died at the hands of that Monokuma, was that how he was thanking her?
Paying no mind to how she felt, she had followed him, dragging her feet at every step. It didn’t help that the wind that was blowing was super cold and messing her hair up. It was just all so wack. Still, she waited for the mother and her son to finish reuniting and talking about how much they’d missed each other and how happy they were to be together after all this time. She didn’t even say a word no matter how much the entire scene annoyed her, which was out of character for her.
She was just silent, as though something inside of her was breaking – as though she were falling into despair again, except she seemingly had no reason to do so this time. Everything would be fine, right? Yasu would leave and she’d be able to gather all the answers to her questions, without him holding her back by being an idiot and putting himself in danger. She didn’t need to be feeling so negative about what was going to happen. It was good for her. She’d be one step closer to her goal.
“Aren’t you going to introduce us?”
Kanon glanced at Yasu and his mom, confused. Had she just asked to be introduced to her? Why did she care, anyway? It wasn’t like she was anyone important in her son’s life now, was she?
“Ah yes, mom, this is Kanon-cchi! She saved my life a few times after we arrived here, and I lost the Future Foundation squad I came with. We’ve been best buds since!”
Best buds, huh? That’s one way to put while completely disregarding the fact that I tried to kill you, weirdo.
“Thank you, Kanon-chan. My boy can be so clumsy sometimes, I’m relieved to hear he had someone as bright as you to rely on.”
“Huh? I… Uh, you’re welcome, I guess.”
Suddenly, Kanon felt overwhelmed with guilt. Why was she being praised after everything she’d done? Why wasn’t Yasu telling his mother the truth? It’s not like she’d even been happy about them finally reuniting. She didn’t deserve any of what was happening.
“Pretty girl, too. Good choice, Hiro,” the pink-haired woman added, making Kanon embarrassed. “Anyway, I’m Hiroko.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“Future Foundation should be here with a helicopter in about fifteen minutes,” Yasu said. “Ahhh, I knew today would only be good fortune!”
“You’re still in debt,” Kanon spat, surprising herself by how rude and angry she sounded. “So, I don’t know about good fortune. What if one of the members of the Kuzuruyu clan is waiting where you used to live, knowing damn well you’ll have to go back there at some point?”
“Wh-what do you mean? Why d’you have to be so negative, Kanon-cchi?”
“Well, at least you won’t be able to say I didn’t warn you,” she shrugged, turning her back to them and starting to walk away.
“W-wait!” He called, making her turn towards him again. “Where are you going? What are you gonna do now?”
“You know what my plans are. They haven’t changed just because we spent some extra time together. I still hate them, y’know? They killed him.”
“But it’s dangerous out there. And what about your parents?”
Kanon froze, unable to understand why Yasu suddenly seemed so worried about her and what would happen to her. He’d had no problem ditching her to run towards his mom ten minutes ago, so what changed? What had gotten into him that made him want to know what she’d be doing?
“They’re probably dead, aren’t they?” She coldly replied, staring at him. “So, what if it’s dangerous here? At least I’ll have done what I had to do.”
Yasu frowned, making her even more confused than she already was. His reaction to the current situation made little to no sense to her. He’d been so eager to go home when he’d woken up and told her about that vision, so why was he holding onto her like this? Why wasn’t he letting her go and do what she had to do?
“I have an idea,” Hiroko finally said. “Why don’t you come live with us if you have nowhere to go?”
The question hung in the air for five long minutes, during which neither she nor Yasu spoke. And at that moment, her heart felt like it was split into two different parts which wanted completely opposite things. Going with Yasu and his mother, although she wasn’t quite sure why, seemed quite appealing to her. She had never thought about it until Hiroko mentioned it, but now that she’d planted that seed in her brain, it was growing into quite a reasonable and safe-sounding plan.
On the other hand, that other part of her kept screaming at her that if she did this – if she gave up on attempting to kill at least one Future Foundation member without even trying to find out if she still felt like doing so – she’d be betraying her cousin. And that thought was unbearable. She’d put herself through a lot of hardships just to make him acknowledge her as a woman, and now that someone else was coming along and offering her some sort of comfort she was forgetting all of this?
He was dead, and she was thinking about giving up on him as if he’d never even existed. That wasn’t fair. Yasu had told her she was his captive because she was important to him. This meant that in his last moments, he probably thought about her, didn’t he? He probably even tried to survive that dreadful class trial for her. So how could she abandon his memory like this? How was it right for her to just leave Towa City without putting her plan into execution? What was wrong with her?
“Um, if I may,” Yasu spoke, breaking the silence that had lasted far too long for it to be considered comfortable, “I think it’d be a good idea for you to come with us. I know you have all this unfinished business, but uh—No, no, please, don’t cry!”
“I… I’m sorry, okay? It’s just that you come into my life out of nowhere and think you can just replace Leon Onii-chan like this? Do you really think your stupid demeanour and kindness are going to make me forget about how much I loved him? About how much it hurt when I found out he was dead? I’d trade you for him if I could, do you understand that?”
“I know all of that, but you still didn’t kill me when you had plenty of opportunities to do it. So, the time we spent together must have meant something to you! I’m not pretending like I can replace him or whatever weird relationship you had, but don’t pretend like you’re even happy to see me leave. You’ve been sulking all day, Kanon-cchi. Even the most stupid person on Earth could have noticed it!”
“Don’t you understand that me coming with you is betraying him?”
“It isn’t,” Hiroko spoke up, chewing on the cigarette she’d brought to her lips a few seconds prior. “I have no clue what you two are talking about, but if someone you loved and who loved you died, then I’m sure they’d want you to be safe.” She paused, lighting her cigarette, and taking a drag. “I don’t care about this hope versus despair thing they all have going on these days, but I’m pretty sure you choosing to stay here instead of moving forward in your life would be picking despair. In a way, you’d be giving whoever took that person away from you exactly what they want. You don’t seem stupid enough to do something so desperately idiotic.”
“C’mon, Kanon-cchi, it’ll be fun.”
Kanon blinked, wiping her tears away. As much as she hated to admit it, Hiroko made a fair point there. If she stayed here, she’d most likely despair – either she would realize that killing a Future Foundation member wouldn’t be enough to make her forget her cousin, or she would die at the hands of one of these Remnants of Despair. Deep down, she knew this.
“Fine,” she yielded. “I’ll leave Towa City with you guys. But don’t assume that it means you have free access to my money!” Kanon pouted, making Yasu let out an amused laugh.
Maybe leaving Towa City with the Hagakures wasn’t mistake.
-
With Kanon-cchi’s head resting on his shoulder as she was peacefully asleep, Yasuhiro realized that his life would truly never be the same again. Because the short, cute, wannabe-gyaru would be sticking with him for what seemed to be the foreseeable future. He did not mind, though. His fortune-telling abilities did not seem to be giving signs of anything bad happening starting from now, after all.
I’ll be the one to keep you safe, now. I’m gonna act like the protagonist, for real! He thought, running his finger through the young woman’s light brown hair.
"Are you free this Saturday?"
From his corner by the shoe lockers, Ieyasu could hear Masamune ask some poor girl about her schedule. He didn't particularly care who he dated, but if it caused him to be late for student council meetings again, Hideyoshi was going to have a fit.
All of that was none of his business, of course. Ieyasu continued to change to his outside shoes.
That is, until he heard her voice.
"I've got club activities in the morning, but I'm pretty free after that."
Ieyasu grumbled under his breath. Masamune flirting with other girls was one thing, but having Misuzaki Mai fall under his clutches was something he couldn't allow. Mai worked under his committee in the student council, the Health Committee, and there was no way any of his members were slacking off to go on dates with Masamune of all people.
At least, this is the reason Ieyasu told himself when he found himself stalking over to where Masamune and Mai stood.
"We have a committee meeting on Saturday," he said unceremoniously, not even bothering with pleasantries.
Mai had the decency to looked ashamed. "You're right! I completely forgot!" She bowed towards Masamune. "I'm so sorry, Masamune-senpai! It seems I can't go with you to the poetry event after all."
Masamune didn't even look the least bit bothered; he spared a grin Ieyasu's way before shrugging. "Well, there's always next time. Or you could ditch Ieyasu's meeting and come with instea—"
"Mai, weren't we going to inventory the remaining medicines in the clinic today?"
Ieyasu spoke over Masamune so quickly that Mai almost didn't hear him.
Her eyebrows shot up in confusion. “We were?"
“You were the one who brought up the issue of expired medicines...”
“Yes, but that was my agenda for Saturday.”
Ieyasu scoffed. “It’s a pressing issue. We should act on it quickly. If we wait ‘til then you’ll have numerous things to bring up on Saturday and it’ll take too long to listen to them all.”
Mai seemed to be considering. “Well, I do have time today...”
Masamune seemed to be holding back a laugh. He placed his hand on Ieyasu's shoulder and nodded. Without any context, he said, "I see. So that's how it is."
Ieyasu scowled. "That's how what is?"
"Oh, nothing," and without any warning, Masamune suddenly brought his face closer to Mai's and winked. "You better go help Yasu, Mai-chan. He can be very impatient about things."
Mai turned a nice shade of red. She was about to back away, but Ieyasu quickly pulled her towards himself.
"Stop harassing my committee members," the blonde grumbled. He didn't let go of Mai's hand and hoped profusely that Masamune wouldn't say anything about it. Slowly, he pulled her towards the school corridor, presumably heading towards the health clinic. "Let's go, Misuzaki."
Mai was flushed until her ears. Her mouth was open, as if she wanted to say something; Ieyasu could hear her stutter—which he found odd, as she was usually very articulate and confident, but something was distracting her.
"Tokugawa-san," she began, "My hand..."
Ieyasu looked like he got shot by lightning. He abruptly let go.
"Don't read into that," he started, and already regretted the words as he said them. He turned towards Mai and saw her face change from embarrassed to... sad? Why in the world would she make that face?
Still, it didn't make him stop.
"You're so clumsy I thought you would forget where the health office is, so I had to lead you there."
。
。
。
Masamune watched the scene, thinking that this would be a good moment for them to act cutely awkward with each other. Maybe Ieyasu would finally show an adorable side, after all.
But of course, Ieyasu was Ieyasu, so instead he scoffed and said something dumb like "Don't read into that."
Mai looked deflated. "Of course," she mumbled, withdrawing her hand and closing it tight. The flush on her face receded. "Thank you."
Masamune wanted to hit Ieyasu on the head. The boy is hopeless.
"Oy, Yasu," he called out. Might was well distract the two so Mai could compose herself. "Do you know you're still wearing your outside shoes? Better change before Hideyoshi catches you!"
Ieyasu's momentary look of panic was priceless.
"How troublesome," he muttered, but proceeded to take off his sneakers. "You go ahead to the clinic, Misuzaki. I'll meet you there."
Mai, who, Masamune noticed, had her composure back, smiled brightly at him. "Sure! See you!"
As she was running off, Masamune looked at Ieyasu. His face was red as a tomato, and he pinched his nose in irritation.
Masamune smirked. "Finally regretting your words, huh?"
Ieyasu kept his head down.
"Shut up."
。
。
。
Sasuke saw Mai running towards the clinic. Her face looked impassively neutral, and that's how he knew something was wrong.
He opened the door of the clinic and saw her beginning to re-arrange the boxes in the cabinets. Her face was still a blank page, and she didn't even notice him come in.
"Mai?"
She startled. "Sasuke-kun!" It was only then she gave him a small smile. "What brings you here?"
"I was wondering if you needed help."
"Well, I was just going to look for expired medicines and store them. We might send them back to the pharmacy for proper disposal."
Sasuke adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose. "I see. Is this health committee work?"
Mai nodded. "This was supposed to be my agenda for Saturday's meeting, but..."
Whatever her reasons were for moving up the agenda, Sasuke did not hear. As Mai trailed off, the door to the clinic opened again, revealing a beaten up soccer player with a few scrapes on his face and legs.
Mai bristled. "Yukimura!"
The said boy flinched. "Geez, you don't have to be so loud," he mumbled, but didn't argue when Mai ran over to him to check his wounds. "Woah there, slow down, boar woman. I don't need new injuries."
If looks could add to injury, Yukimura would definitely be knocked out cold by now. Mai rolled her eyes and dragged him to a seat. "What on earth happened to you?"
Yukimura shrugged. "Sports accident. It happens all the time."
Mai put her hands on her hips. "You're telling me you got all of this cause of a soccer ball?"
"Not because of the ball per se, dummy. I fell while trying to protect the ball from Uesugi."
Sasuke heard Mai 'tsk' before she started moving around the room, gathering materials to patch the scrapes. When she set them all on the table, she took a forceps and clipped cotton on it before moving closer to Yukimura's face.
Sasuke did not miss the moment when Yukimura flushed red at Mai's closeness.
"What the— that stings!"
"Hold still, you baby," Mai chided, meticulously patting the wounds with disinfectant. "If we don't clean this now, you'll have a huge abscess on your face, and it will rot your teeth."
The soccer player flinched. "That can't be true." He glanced at Sasuke for help. "Sasuke, tell me it's not true."
Sasuke shrugged. "I'm not health committee."
Yukimura looked like he was going to protest in panic, but his words were cut off by the sound of the door opening again.
Ieyasu stood at the entrance, taking in the scene before him. Sasuke couldn't read him, but he could tell his expression was more stoic than usual. For a moment, however, some emotion flickered on his face when he glanced at Mai, but he couldn't be certain if it was just a play of the afternoon light.
"I thought you were sorting out the medicines," the blonde said, walking towards them with a sharpness Sasuke could not fathom. It was like finding a sharp knife after it was ground against a whetstone.
Mai, for the most part, seemed oblivious. "I'll just finish tending to my dummy of a patient," she said, half-smiling. "Yuki here got into a soccer accident."
This was usually Yukimura's cue to quip back, but surprisingly, the boy was just glaring at Ieyasu.
"Why are you even here?"
Ieyasu scoffed. "I'm head of the health committee."
"Didn't I see you heading out a while ago?"
"Didn't I see you get hopelessly crushed by a cage of soccer balls?"
Mai gasped. "So it was because of soccer balls?!"
Yukimura sputtered. "T-that's not the point!"
Ieyasu sighed, and with the grace of someone used to handling medical instruments, took the forceps from Mai and sat on the chair next to Yukimura.
"Misuzaki, continue fixing the medicines. I'll take care of this idiot here." He then proceeded to put more disinfectant on the cotton, and without a word of warning, began to clean Yukimura's face.
This, of course, was faced with a lot of resistance by the other boy. "I don't want to be treated by you!"
"Stay put. If we don't clean this now, you'll have a huge abscess on your face, and it will rot your teeth."
"So that was true?!"
Sasuke watched the entire exchange with amusement. When Mai began to move back to sort out the expired medicines, he saw her glance at Ieyasu with uncertainty.
When she looked away, Ieyasu glanced back. The small moment of distraction caused him to poke Yukimura's nose.
"Oy, watch it!"
"It's because you're an idiot."
But after a while, Ieyasu glanced at Mai again.
Sasuke pushed up his glasses.
Interesting.
。
。
。
While walking home, Yukimura fiddled with his bandages. He hated to say it, but Tokugawa was very meticulous when it came to wound cleaning. He'd be surprised if he grew an abscess or if his teeth started to rot after all that fuss.
Sasuke seemed to be in deep thought next to him, which was standard fare, so he did what he would usually do: talk about the first thing that came to his mind.
"Tokugawa's awfully overprotective of Mai, isn't he?"
This seemed to catch Sasuke's attention.
"Why would you think that?" He asked, doing that habit of his where he adjusted his glasses to look smart.
Yukimura put his bag over his shoulder and shrugged. "I don't know. He always seems to show up where she is." Looking up, he realized some things didn't make sense, however. "But he’s stiff around her. It's like he's pretending he doesn't have a soft spot for her, sometimes. But it kinda shows."
Sasuke nodded. "This analysis is unprecedented for someone like you."
"...Why do I feel like you just insulted me?"
The question was ignored. "It figures you would understand his feelings. Tokugawa-san is, after all, a tsundere, much like you, Yukimura."
Yukimura frowned. "I already told you, I don't understand pop culture references."
Sasuke once again let the comment pass by. Instead he asked, "Why do you think he's that way to Mai?"
Surprisingly, Yukimura found he didn't need to think about it a lot. Casually, while fiddling again with the bandages on his face, he concluded, "He probably likes her."
He and Sasuke walked in silence for a while after that statement.
Then, Yukimura stopped. His face contorted into a look of discomfort. Somehow, something coiled within him, a heat he could not name. "Y'know, it feels uncomfortable to know that."
Sasuke did a small nod.
"As expected, your perceptiveness does not extend to yourself."
He then walked ahead, leaving Yukimura standing alone, as confused as ever.
"Oy! What's that supposed to mean?!"
