We walked in and started to say hi to the people we knew. I headed into the kitchen to make myself a drink because this was going to be a long night.

I was sitting in the kitchen sipping on my drink while people watching when I saw someone from the corner of my eye.

“Hey” he said, I looked over at him smiling as I swallowed my drink

“Hi” I said properly

“I’m Grey, but most people call me G” he said sticking his hand out for me to shake

Unbeknown to Y/N Matt was watching her and Grey the whole time. He had a weird feeling about him, but couldn’t put his finger on it. He didn’t like that Grey was touching her, but she didn’t seem bothered so he stood back.

“Hey want to head up to a room I can’t really hear you” Grey asked nicely

“Ummm yeah sure” I said

“Oh no worries” I said laughing and getting up to follow him

Matt was sitting as he watched them get up and head to the stairs. His ears perking up at this…..something was telling him to follow them.

Slowly Matt got up following behind them at a good distance. Listening in on their convo as best as he could. Didn’t seem strange, but he still wanted to make sure Y/N was okay.

Grey and Y/N had walked into a room shutting the door behind them, and Matt stood a few feet behind. He didn’t want to listen in, but he also wanted to make sure nothing weird was about to go down

“I don’t know what to say to you” I said shaking my head

“That’s okay. Just get back in the car, let me take you home. And you don’t have to see me ever again” he responded

“Matt I… I don’t know what to say because I love you too. I have loved you since high school, and I masked these feelings with hatred because it was the easiest thing to do” I said

“I’m sorry, okay. I never meant to hurt you the way I did” he said

“I don’t know if I can accept that apology right now. You hurt me badly” I told him

“I get that, but just let me take you home and we can talk about it tomorrow” he said

“Ok” I responded in a whisper

I got back into Matt’s car and he drove me home. The whole ride was silent. My thoughts racing in my head about what he told me….did he really love me?

Matt got to my apartment complex and walked me to my apartment door

“Thanks Matt” I said looking at him

“Oh yeah no worries can’t have you walking alone at night” he said

“No. I mean for everything tonight thank you” I said smiling

“Oh yeah. Of course” he said smiling back

“Ummm I really like you, and you did hurt me, but I want to work this out” I said

“Well goodnight Matt” I responded opening my door

“Can I have a hug?” He asked shyly

I smiled at this and pulled him in for a hug, kissing him on the cheek

And with that I walked into my apartment locking the door behind me.

Matt drove back to pick up his brothers. Once he was home he laid in bed smiling to himself.

Headcanons for a Camp Camp season post-David adopting Max

(Because I got back to Camp Camp for no reason at all and it is now everyone's problem. Also apparently new episode incoming? YOOO)

WARNING THERE ARE SWEARS IN THIS BUT I MEAN IT'S CAMP CAMP SO YOU KNOW 😅

Here we go!

No one knows at first

First episode starts with something random (Idk maybe something about change that makes everyone freaking out, you know how CC goes) and the entire time there are hints, like Max arriving at Camp with David and David always being in the proximity of Max. Towards the end Max makes a half-assed comment about it

Neil: Well, I guess some things never change

Neil: This place is still pretty fucked up

Max: Yeah, this is weirder than David adopting me at the end of last summer

Everyone: WAIT WHAT?!

Casual episodes have background scenes where David puts a hand in front of Max whenever he wants to do something dangerous, or he picks him up

Max is now enrolled in Camp Campbell for Music Camp. He is never seen actually practicing during afternoon activities, he kinda just stands on his boot, but when no one is watching, especially at night, he does play a bit. He plays a guitar that was the first birthday present he got from David

He's genuinely good, he just thinks that the others will make fun of him for specifically playing guitar and ask him what campfire songs did David teach him

He's right and the answer is ALL OF THEM

Max is back to the plan of making David snap, but the idea evolved from "no way a person can be this happy" to "no way a parent can be this happy". That's totally NOT projection of his own trauma and he DOES NOT expect David to abandon him the moment it becomes too much (wink)

THE AMOUNT OF DAD JOKES ISTG. Max is 100% sure he'll go crazy out of tree puns alone. David is fully convinced that's peak dad behavior and non-negotiable

David: I'd love to take you on a vacation to trees' favourite city!

Max: David no.

David: Montreeal!

Max: DAVID NO.

David: Why so tense, Max? Are you okay?

Max: STOP RIGHT NOW.

A full episode where David is terrified of making preferences for his son and struggles between being a counselor and a father, fearing that the others might feel left out. Ultimately it is pointed out by everyone that Max was always his favourite, therefore he was a shit about it from the beginning and no one really cares (David feels relieved and quite conflicted about this)

Whenever the campers need permission to do something dangerous and there is REALLY no other option, Max sighs and does his best "please I really wanna do this, you are my guardian right?" act. It's embarassing how quickly David caves in

An episode about being a young single father, maybe David going on a date (I'm thinking the cute waitress from the Bonquisha episode and/or the bartender guy from the town episode, just to make some comebacks), having tons in common and getting along, but not wanting to commit with someone with a son. David feels pretty lonely, but he 100% can only be with someone that accepts Max as well (also pan David my beloved 🩷💛💙)

Max discovers David's tipping point when the kid gets seriously hurt because of a stupidly dangerous adventure. Max gets scolded like he didn't think David was able to. It follows a pretty tense period where Max thinks this is it, but David is just very embarassed for snapping like that and while he thinks Max can survive more than he can, he needs him to be safe. After talking they get much closer

David has no idea how to ground someone, especially his son. Usually, when he feels like he has to, he consults Gwen or, heaven forbid, Quartermaster

An episode where the ideal camper arrives. Loves outdoors, loves activities, loves singing along and saluting the flag, so David gets excited. The entire time the campers try to figure out if Max is jealous, but he shows no sign. Obviously the camper is someone evil because this is Camp Camp, and at the end Max stomps the person with a "sorry sweetheart, I'm his favourite"

Max doesn't call him dad, David knows this and never presses him. But the kid slips sometimes and corrects himself quickly, although David never seems to notice

He actually does notice and every night he proceeds to giggle into his log pillow like a high schooler with a crush

An episode where the campers try to figure out how the whole adoption situation happened, since neither Max nor David really explained it. The hypothetical story becomes increasingly crazier and more complex, between alien invations, warlocks and internal monologues. At the end a flashback is shown of Max waiting at camp. Gwen is in the cabin, then David arrives with his cheek red and bloody

David: It took some convincing

Gwen: Oh, David...

David: I'm alright. I knew who I was dealing with, and apparently they're this aggressive only to strangers. It could've been a lot worse, and they said yes anyway

Gwen: So... now what?

David: Now? Now I'm bringing him home

David had everything ready for adoption way before meeting Max, stating that as a counselor you never know what might happen. He thinks it's commendable. Max thinks it's fucking creepy

After The Forest episode David developed a bit of feral instincts, but never really showed them. Since Max can usually defend himself better than David does, there is no need to intervene. Until Daniel comes back, and makes the mistake of kidnapping Max this time, wanting to play with David on how to find his kid. He did not know. David turns into wolf dad, literally growling and hunting for his cub. Imagine a feral David roaring and growling "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY KID DANIEL??". Suffice to say, Daniel is sent to the hospital (praying the ultra lord) and Max starts to think, between Daniel and David, maybe it's his dad the psychotic one

He doesn't mind it that much

Possible outcome is Daniel being astonished by such energy, realizing that David just won't die, and feeling something strong for him, starting to ponder if David is an reincarnation of Xemug... he is giving himself an excuse, he basically just got a crush on David. If that would turn him madder or start his redemption arc, I have no idea, but I kinda like it 😂 (actually I might make a separate post about this, I got an idea for another season sequel to this one and yes, pretty Dadvid 💕💕)

Post this incident that ruined it, Mr. Honeynuts now wears a little Camp Campbell counselor uniform. David made it of course, and while Max voices his contempt, the bear was getting rough to hug and the shirt is soft

Idea gag of Max saying "did you know that *insert disturbing emotional abuse practice* isn't okay? Learned that last year"

They got blackmail material on each other. Max obviously uses it the most, between embarassing underpants and sleep talking, but in extreme cases David is not above pulling out his cute Max photo collection

Yes, he is waiting for someone to ask about it and show them like the proud parent he is

After David adopted Max, he started to work two jobs to make ends meet (I'm thinking teacher and maybe night guard, very standard). He's actually pretty good at both, but it makes him very exhausted. He once snapped at Max out of exhaustion and since then, he decided to rest whenever he feels tired (you know, like a normal person). Max jokes that he was supposed to make his life a nightmare, not help him develop a better and healthier lifestyle

They got a method for asking permission, "bullshit for fun": David allows him some usually unallowed stuff and he gets to have some cute father-son moments in exchange

Max: Okay, it's a huge concert, so I'm willing to go as far as a full week of tucking in bed

David: I'm not letting you go out of town all on your own that easily, young man! The week of that, and three days of hand holding when we get into a crowd!

Max: Mmm... one hand holding and... urgh... one day of camping together

David: WAIT, REALLY?!

Max: It's a really good concert

David: DEAL!!!!

During a particolarly bad night of Max having nightmares, David spends the night comforting him. Max jokes that perhaps David can get even a hug out of this. David states that their system is a fun thing between them for treating responsibilities and boundaries in a less serious way, but if Max needs comfort, that's always free

An episode in which Max hears David talk to Gwen, saying stuff like "I don't have enough money for him. I don't think I can make it. I'm so sorry, poor Max". He then starts the most effective escape from Camp Campbell plan he has ever put in motion, genuinely making it except he comes back because he misses everything. He screams at David for making him love him only to dump him. At last David understands the situation and hugs him, revealing that... he was talking about a dog he wanted to adopt for Max. Max will never live that down, and David is in absolute glee for the following days because his son loves him

Sometimes Max says "Language!" without realizing. It's horrifying for all people involved, even David

On the other hand, David starts to swear more. The thing is, he's used to Max and it's such a foreign thing to him that sometimes he doesn't realize it was him

David: Hold on, now where the fuck is everyone?

David: Language!

David: ... wait-

Idea crossover headcanon, David's last name is Corduroy, his dad is a cousin of the Corduroys of Gravity Falls. But as a matter of fact, David never calls his father dad, going for either sir or sergeant

I have the idea of introducing this father in an episode flashback from before the adoption. David's father, sergeant Jeffrey Corduroy, comes to the camp to "visit his son and reconnect after such a long time". The man is huge and affable, friendly like David, but David turns into a Max version of himself when he's around. After everyone states that he seems cool, David gets pissed even more and basically ditch camp activities the whole day

Max gets a moment alone with the sergent and presses a little more, thrown off by meeting the first person David seems to openly hate. As Max is being Max, Jeff loses it pretty quickly, revealing the kindness is a mask. As he is on his way to hit Max, David puts himself in between. He scolds his father, mad like never before, stating that one apology won't make up for ten years of hell. Jeff leaves, David is so tired his legs won't hold, Max helps him get back to the cabin and they stay there

When the two are alone eventually, David tells him his story: he actually learned about survival from his dad first, he got trained mercilessly to the point of spitting blood, for ten long years. At some point his parents decided to divorce, and he was sent to Camp Campbell to not be in the way. He felt happy there for the first time, but he spiralled after leaving, as his dad left and his mother was depressed. She sent him to France at the clown school, again to not be in the way, and when he was old enough he simply left his house to find his own way to be happy. The only place where that was, was Camp Campbell

David apologizes for making his first story about camp too cheerful, as he should have been sincere. Max comes to two conclusions that night: that they are way more similar than he expected (something he didn't believe when he first heard the camp story from David), and that... maybe David is kind to everyone because he used all the hate he has on that asshole

Possible last episode of the season is another Parent Day. Everyone is teasing Max over the fact that every day is Parent Day for him, and Max complains but passively shows how he can't wait for it. Obviously David is way too gleeful about it. Then David disappears and no one knows where he is, and Max gets in the worse mood possible, making it everyone's problem. Everyone is actually kinda supportive and that turns him from angry to simply sad, although Gwen states that whatever happened to David, he promised to be there therefore he will be

At the exhibition part, when it's Max' turn, David arrives just in time, running in full survival attire like in The Forest. Basically David had another canoe incident, and was hunted down by two more wolves. It turns out that they're the pups of the wolfie he befriended before, they were hunted by men and that's why they were very aggressive towards him at first. Another adventure ensued, with the pups learning how to survive nature

Of course this is not explained to the people (just like The Forest), David apologizes for the late, Max says "fuck you dad" and hugs him in front of everyone

Follows the most mundane celebration between parents, with David (after taking off the survival look) looking a bit goofy and uncomfortable with so many adults while being a young man, but he does his best. Finally a moment of tranquility for the campers, as they watch their parents

Neil: You know Max, maybe you had to learn to appreciate the hell that is Camp Campbell, to meet a parent that truly cared for you. Maybe it was all a learning experience, and this is your reward

Max: ...

Neil: ...

Max: Well, this place sucks, and my dad is a fucking idiot. Definitely not worth it

(Max scoffs, then he smiles at David waving at him. The other campers hold back laughter, clearly not believing him)

It's implied that from then on Max starts calling David dad full time

My friends and I were on a trip and coincidently we met SEVENTEEN who were in the opposite bus beside ours. (They were also in Italy for a vacation because they were shooting a reality show where they relaxed and enjoyed) We were so damn excited to see them!! We got off the bus and met all the members until my eyes darted on the one whom I cherish the most from the group, Kim Mingyu. He looked really tall, handsome yet cute with his golden retriever energy. I was enchanted to meet him~

All of us introduced ourselves to each other and decided to take a stroll around for a while. It was almost evening, and we decided to make a small group to share the rooms because there were a lot of people on this trip.

We played rock, paper, scissors (the iconic game lol), and decided our roommates. I was happy that Dokyeom, Minghao, Mingyu, and I were the roommates. We checked in the hotel room, and it was damn luxurious and spacious. So it was big enough for all of us to fit in.

We were tired from the travel, so we just decided to chill and do nothing. After a while, Dokyeom started playing music because we were getting bored. He played "Crazy Form" by Ateez, and I got so excited and told him, "Yooo I'm a fan of Ateez!! I love listening to their music!" (Don't come at me for mentioning another group cuz I'm a multistan lmao)

Dokyeom agreed with me enthusiastically. But then Mingyu scoffs, asking, "Oh really? So don't you like our music?" He raised his eyebrow. Ngl I was caught a bit off guard and got intimidated when I saw his facial expressions. I said, "N-no, it's not like that. I love listening to your music, it's just that I'm new to this group, and I love this kind of genre." He just hummed to my response.

Minghao, who was quiet the whole time listening to this, answered, "Come on Mingyu, don't take it so seriously. People love listening to various artists, and she's a carat as well. As long as they support and love us, we are grateful for that." To which Mingyu replied, "Yeah yeah, you are right."

Dokyeom who was vibing to the song, asked me, "Heyy who's your bias from Ateez?" I replied, "Oh I'm a newbie, so I don't really have one, but I like all of them!"

He chuckled and said, "Now that's how a fan should be! Supportive to all the members!" I agreed while laughing, and I was interrupted in between by Mingyu. He asked, "Whom do you like from Seventeen?"

I felt so weak on my knees when I saw him spreading his legs on the couch, looking at me intensely while slightly clenching his jaw, and asked as if he got jealous by the way I got close to Dokyeom easily.

I replied, "Uhh... it's actually you- you are my bias." to which he smirked and said, "Oh yeah? that's great, you got my attention." Before I could say something, Minghao interrupted us, "Guyss I'm hungry!! Let's go and have dinner, and then you can continue with your talks." to which we all agreed and went outside the room to meet everyone.

Waking up to the sound of your alarm was not a good thing. Especially to hear on a Saturday. Kicking your covers away, you turned off your phone before flopping back to your bed, sighing happily as you stretched your arms and legs.

It was a sunny day outside, weirdly enough there's not much car honking out the road. Your apartment seemingly in quiet bliss as you decided to have breakfast.

Glancing back at the computer, you didn't have any time to actually open and play the game because of work. Your boss assigned you to a project with potential big clients that could boost the company, sadly enough the team you're working with has only five members including you. So you all had to work your ass off to make deadlines meet.

Thankfully you finished the project yesterday, so the team decided to go out and have some drinks till midnight. You declined wanting to sleep early and stay on your bed since there's no work tomorrow, but of course you had to forgot to turn off your alarm.

Humming as you eat your cereal, you decided to play the game again before doing some chores. You and Yeri texted back and forth about the game, her explaining some of the system while you gave her feedbacks about the game.

"How long has it been?" You hummed as you turned on the computer, swirling around your chair as you stare at the blank wall in your room. "Almost a week, huh? Didn't feel like it honestly," You huffed as you finally clicked on the game, the familiar cutesy theme song starting to play. You hum along with the tune, starting where you left off.

Day two.

It's morning and the game tells you to hurry up to class, making you play little mini games again as you collect more coins and items to boost your relationship. Yeri told you the coins didn't really work as of right now, but the items did! So you debated on who you should try it on.

Seeing the many areas of the school from the little map, you noticed a grey area. When you clicked on it, nothing happened. So you brush it off as an unfinished area of the school.

A cutscene started to play, reading through the bottom text tells you that you're meeting another potential love interest. Two boys appeared, making you hum in appreciation as you look at them. One of the boy has silver hair, being significantly taller than the other one. But the shorter one did have a more powerful aura, making you more interested as to who they are.

"What do we have here? You must be the new student, (name)?"

The shorter one asked, making you smile before you picked a reply.

"Ah, how do I know? I'm Hongjoong, this is Seonghwa. We're both in the student council so it's given we know who the new student is."

You snorted. "Of course you're both in the student council." They're basically the walking stereotypes of the uptight and tough students, with perfect uniforms and the way they're confidently speaking to you. Or well, your character.

"Now, now, Hongjoong. Don't scare the new student away with your words. We should be welcoming towards them."

Seonghwa chided the other boy, making you smile in amusement before replying.

"It's nice to meet you, (name). We hope your stay here so far has been well. We don't want to seem very strict, but please remember to wear your name badge."

You clicked through, reading the text and enjoying how their voice sounds. You didn't skip any dialogue, wanting to hear their voices play through the speaker.

"If you have any problems, please don't hesitate to talk to me or Seonghwa. Or you could find any of our friends here."

A tutorial popped up, showing you where to find the boys if you want to meet them on the small map. Usually these are for increasing your bonds with the boy so you could encounter secret routes and endings.

"Some of them I haven't really met," You mumbled. You're hoping today you could see all of them, so you could devise a plan on who you should increase your relationship with. Almost all of them are short interactions, so you're still holding on to the items in your inventory.

"Please, don't be a stranger. We'll always welcome you with open arms."

You swooned at Seonghwa's words, noticing how soft he looks with his smile as both of the characters said goodbye to you. Before they left, you notice two hearts popped up at the top of their heads.

You tilted your head at the numbers. Surely that must be a glitch, right? You've never met any of them, why did the numbers go so high? Even Yeosang only had 2% when you first met him. Wait, did San even had this thing popping up?

"Must be another glitch, I'll tell Yeri later."

After that, you're just minding your own business, playing mini games and talking with other characters to learn more of the lore and before you knew it another cutscene started to play. You squint your eyes in confusion before it widens as Hwayoung, you're so called enemy appears with her gang. You giggle a little at how cliche Hwayoung is acting as the typical bully, mocking you only from your physical appearance and not actually doing anything.

You clicked through the interaction whilst not focusing, wanting to pass through the interaction as fast as possible. You notice how red Hwayoung face has gone, making you giggle a little. But what she said next made your heart stop for a second as your finger hovered above your mouse.

"I know you're not paying attention to me! And—And I know you've missed classes for the past few days now! You're the new student and you're already setting a bad example for our academy!"

You slowly inched away from your computer. "Wha—what the actual fuck?"

Past few days? Did you not playing the game actually counts as a day in the game? The game literally started where you left off, how did Hwayoung know about you not playing it?

The game glitches out again making you groan in frustration, but you soon turned quiet as suddenly a figure appeared right next to Hwayoung. It's the boy with red hair, you remembered when he appeared with San from the first day. You glanced back at Hwayoung, flinching at how pale she was. Eyes wide as sweat appeared on her forehead. You gasped when you notice how she's staring right at you.

"Hwayoung, that's not very nice is it?"

You brushed your arms as goosebumps started to rise, not liking how...unnerving his tone was.

"Get away from her. Go back to wherever you came from before I—I call the teacher on you."

The red hair boy threatened, but you notice how Hwayoung's character changed from scared to relieved. Soon she's gone in an instant and the boy with red hair take center stage as he smiled at you.

"I'm sorry this is how our first meeting actually goes. I was hoping for a more romantic setting like in the gardens."

His words supposed to make you swoon at how romantic it sounded, but you're only confused as to what he said. First time? You've met him before! He appeared suddenly and went missing in an instant with San. Does that not count as meeting them? Well a glitch appeared and made them disappear so you guess it's not counted in the game.

You slowly relaxed when nothing bad happened, actually enjoying your interaction with the now named boy, called Wooyoung. From his voice and dialogue alone you know he likes to make trouble, but you found yourself endeared by his personality.

"Sorry, I have dance class in a few minutes. Will—Uh, do you want to meet up with me later? Hangout maybe or just walk around?"

You held back a giggle at how shy he suddenly sounds, picking the option to agree with him. His face lights up instantly, promising that you'll both have a good time when you meet up. You notice the heart popping up again and you sighed at the percentage shown.

"How is that even possible? That's more than the ones I've meet!" You groaned but you didn't mind it no more, already making a mental note to tell Yeri about the heart glitch later. It's weird how high the percentage is, you wonder what possible routes or secret endings you'll have when you reach 100%.

Thinking back, you hum as you tried to remember who you've met before. "I haven't met Mingi, Jongho, and...Yunho." Well you kinda did, with the whole eye situation. But you guess it's probably not counted just like your encounter with Wooyoung. You sighed before checking your phone, noticing that a few hours has passed and you haven't taken a shower nor do chores.

You left the game still playing, your screen showing you the empty classroom where Wooyoung has already left. You stretched before making your way out of the room, already making a list on what chores to start first after showering.

Cleaning your fridge, doing the laundry, and doing many more things made you forget about the game in the meantime; too focused on working while you're watching your favorite TV series. Pausing every now and then to watch the TV, you laughed softly at what's happening with the main character.

A small static noise made you pause, glancing back at your room and staying silent to hear what's going on. Soon the static noise turned loud enough to make your ears hurt, wincing in pain as you run back to your room. When you're there, oddly enough the static was gone. You quickly checked your computer to see if anything is wrong but everything's fine. You glanced towards your computer screen and jumped in shock when you saw two boys standing there silently.

You squinted your eyes when you noticed no text appearing on the bottom, letting out a noise of confusion when a deep voice spoke through your speaker.

"Hi! We noticed you staying alone at this classroom. Are you okay? You've been staying here for quite a while."

Your body tensed as the tall boy asked you something so innocent, yet it's making you cower in fear about what he just asked. You waited for an option to show up, but none appeared. You waited for a few seconds before it finally showed up, sighing in relief before picking an option. Well what you assume the safe option.

You didn't want any weird glitches to happen.

"Well, you must be the new student. My name is Mingi, this is Jongho."

Mingi, the taller boy introduced himself and the boy besides him, smiling widely making his eyes disappear. You notice the height difference quickly, but you know the shorter one, Jongho, has more muscles beneath his uniform.

You thought Jongho would speak or introduce himself, but the bottom text only displayed nothing before Mingi talked again.

"Aish, don't be so shy! Don't worry about Jongho here, he's just shy about meeting new people."

You let out a small smile as you noticed Jongho's character blushed a flaming red, before Jongho promptly denied what Mingi said.

"I'm not shy. I was just...you know what? Nevermind. I'm Jongho, it's nice to finally put a face on the girl who's being talked all around school."

You hum, settling down on your chair before playing the game for a few minutes. You've cleaned enough for the past few hours, you'll play just a little bit more. Maybe after you finished day two then you'll eat lunch.

You cooed at how cute Jongho is, Mingi making you giggle at how enthusiastic he is; almost like Wooyoung. You really can't choose only one boy, you liked all of them! And even though you haven't met Yunho properly, you already know he's also going to be your favorite.

"Anyway, have you met everyone? Almost all of my friends already talked about meeting you in person."

"Ah, Mingi, I think Yunho hasn't properly met her."

"Oh yeah! Yunho told us that—"

You frowned when Mingi went silent, noticing the game froze with glitches showing every now and then. The seemingly cheery tune also stopped, making you sit in tense silence as you waited for any of them to talk again.

"—He's been pouty ever since! You should meet him, (name)! Maybe that'll cheer him up."

Seems like his dialogue has been cut. You pursed your lips before picking an option, weirdly enough there's an option appearing on the last second. You looked closely and noticed its different from the other ones, this one with a pink color themed.

"Oh! Is this a special encounter?" You smile before picking the option, noticing how Mingi and Jongho smiled widely.

"Great! Just go to the art room on the third floor, I think he's finishing a project there. Don't say me or Jongho set you up, okay? He'll whine about it to us."

"Before we leave, do you want to have lunch with us tomorrow? We're busy helping San with...a problem around our school."

You quickly agree, wanting to boost your relationship with both of the boys. Once again, two hearts popped up at the top of their heads.

It didn't even faze you about the weird percentage, already thinking it's the weird glitch of the game. Both of the boys said goodbye, making the scene change from the classroom to a door in front of you. Not even a second later, Yunho opened the door, his shocked face making you laugh out loud.

"Huh? Uh—(name)! Hi? Um, what are you doing here?"

You smiled at how flustered Yunho was, looking for an option. But none appeared, only a small blank box. You gasped when you realized you're actually able to type out your response to him.

"Holy shit? This so cool!"

Because of this new system, you've already forgotten about the glitches and weird interactions you had. You didn't even think about how the characters can actually respond to whatever you say, too busy thinking about what reply you should say.

You leaned back to think about what to type to Yunho, remembering what Mingi said earlier.

I have no classes right now, so I wanted to use the art room. You're Yunho, right? |

"Oh! Yeah, I'm Yunho. Sorry, come inside. I'm actually working on a project too."

Soon you're inside the art room, noticing a canvas propped up near the window but you can't really see what he's drawing.

"Sorry, it's a bit messy here. But there's an empty space there if you want. Not a lot of people actually use this room, so it's been my private area for a while."

That's alright! I've been wanting to meet you actually. I noticed we haven't met properly yet |

"There. Not too suspicious, right?" You mumbled.

Yunho's face blushed more, smiling softly before he replied back.

"Ah, yeah. Sorry I've been avoiding you. I've actually wanted to introduce myself to you after Yeosang told me about the new student. But...let's just say I got nervous."

You continued to have a conversation with Yunho, like actually have a conversation because you can actually type out what you wanted to say. It's really fascinating how fast Yunho replied to what you say, because usually even AI would take a few seconds to reply back. Yeri must be a genius in the making for this game.

You didn't even notice how long you've talked to Yunho, only stopping when your stomach grumbled loudly. You pause your typing, debating on how you should stop this interaction.

Sorry, Yunho. But I have something to do. I really had a great time with you, even though we both didn't really get any work done |

Yunho didn't reply to you at first, his face blank of emotions and only his default face shown on the screen. You anxiously bite your lip as a another sound came from your stomach, and as if Yunho heard it; he went back to his usual smile.

"Ah, no worries! I had a great time with you too, so please come whenever you want to this room to work or hangout with me."

Yeah, that would be awesome! Thanks for today, Yunho |

With that, you left the art room with a warm feeling on your chest. You didn't even notice your smiling widely as you're clicking to the dorm icon, humming happily to yourself as the game loads.

Your happiness soon disappeared when you notice a lurking figure in front of you at the dark corridor. "Oh come on! Another scary scene in this place, again?!" You whined as you tried to hide between your hands before clicking away.

You sighed when Hwayoung appeared, but it didn't appease your worry when you notice the look on her face.

She looks fine, nothing weird happened. But her face looks deathly pale, eyes wide with her pupils shrunken as if she's going crazy.

Maybe she is going crazy.

"You—"

"Don't—dangerous—them."

You listened closely to what she's saying, hearing how her words are always cut off at specific times.

"P̶l̶e̵a̶s̸e̴—̵a̵w̵a̸y̵—̶n̸o̶ ̵m̴o̵r̴e̷"

"What the fuck? What the actual fuck!" You hissed when the text are becoming more disoriented. Not only that her voice was becoming more scary, gasping out the words as she sounds breathless.

Almost like she's choking.

You covered your ears as the yelling grew louder, your ears ringing in pain as you scream when you notice Hwayoung's face contorted into something not human. Her face stretched out, eyes white as blood slowly drips from her mouth. You held back tears as Hwayoung turned into something more demonic, not an ounce of herself left as her pained screams made way through your speaker. The sounds of screaming and the still playing theme music was something out of your worst nightmare at how fucked up it was.

After what it felt like forever, the room turned silent as only your breathing was heard. You opened your eyes, slowly dropping your hands from your ears before glancing up. Hwayoung was still there but she's smiling. Not a threatening smile, a soft one.

"Hey, (name). Sorry to interrupt you this late at night. But I wanted to apologize for my actions, I know—"

"Nope, nope. Fuck you and fuck this game," You hissed as you pressed the shortcut on your keyboard to quickly exit the game, not caring if the game already saved your progress or not. When the game's starting screen appeared, you quickly exited the game and stared at the game icon for a long time, debating on what you should do next.

That's not some fucking glitch, well you thought it wasn't. It's too out of place for it to be programmed into an otome game, the glitches from previous encounters were not as extreme, yet they still unnerved you.

anyway, i screwed around with the raildex universe and created an oc based off that. unfortunately none of this is published because i basically rewrote the entire thing to the point that it's like in a place where it's not original fiction but also not *quite* fanfiction anymore

1) “How does it feel, hmm? To have someone wrap their fist around your heart? Don’t be prepared to dish out pain unless you’re willing to receive it.” Upon seeing his lack of a response, she slightly tilted her head. “I wasn’t able to do Blood Flow before. You and your ‘sensei’ knew that better than anyone, but ever since you attacked me, I’ve only been able to control one medium at a time. Man, I was pissed, but it turns out I have more control if I’m only controlling one. I was never able to do this before, but now thanks to you, I can. Do you understand what’s about to come next?” 

2) “I’m killing again for the sake of this power.” Now that they were dead, the grief returned. She leaned back against a wall, sliding down, her head buried in her hands. “The only way to repay them is to perfect my power. I need to get stronger so I can protect them. Yes, that’s the only way to make sure they didn’t die in vain.”

3) “Oh? So you were wanting to kill me. I should kill you a million times for that, you know!” she yelled out as she squeezed down on her neck. “My abilities let me heal, you fucking idiot. If you’re gonna try to kill me, you gotta make sure you finish the job.”

4) “I really did expect just a little bit more of a challenge from you. The times that I’ve fought next to you were quite amazing. Really, they were. It’s amazing how befuddled people get when they realize that your right hand can cancel out abilities. The only thing with me is that I know how to counter that right hand of yours. After you take that out of the equation, what else do you have left? What else can you do?” Kira gave him a gentle smile. “You made a good effort. You made a really good effort. So it’s about time you had a rest!”

5) “I’m not the type of person that saves people.”

6) “I’m not a good person,” she whispered. “I don’t deserve this, I don’t deserve you, I-”

7) “We’ve played this song and dance before and to be honest, your track record isn’t working in your favor. The only way you’re getting out of this is to tell me where she is and maybe, just maybe, I’ll kill you quickly.” 

8) “If I have to forget who I am to save her, I will,” Kira said with an empty look in her eyes.

9) "...monster I was always meant to be. That's right. Kihara Kenkyuu had always said that something was special about me. Takaki Yoshi said that my abilities were different. Maybe I really am a monster."

10) "Do you want to live or die? It’s your choice. That damned Kihara Seigo might have made it so that I can’t control who the hell I kill when I touch them, but that’s a different case with you, isn’t it?” Kira currently held up one of the Hound Dog lackeys that was unfortunate enough to have gotten separated from the rest.

11) “Do you ever shut up?” spat out Kira to silence the man. She grabbed the piece of steel stabbing into the man. “What a pain in the ass. Just asking me to kill you is too vague. I’ll move this thing around to tear your insides to pieces if you keep going down this route.”

12) “Do you really think there is any path left that will save you? After living in this world, trampling on so many people, and making enemies of me and that bastard Kihara Seigo, do you really think you can still live a happy life? That’s bullshit and you know it. You’re utter trash. How many people have you killed?” 

13) “Oh? Then you need a hospital,” continued the Level 5 with a grin. “Of course, I could heal you, but-” Kira shrugged and then looked towards him with scorn. “You idiots took that control away from me. So it looks like there’s no salvation for you here, but you won’t die. Not this easily. I’ll make sure your suffering lasts. Keep living on that hopeless path of life so I can relieve some stress.”

14) “Sorry about that,” Kira said with an uninterested look on her face. “I swore to a certain someone that I wouldn’t be participating in this shit anymore, but it looks like I fucked up.” A laugh leaked out. “You see, if I had my abilities, I probably could have ‘adjusted’ the trajectory of the shell so that it would’ve landed in your leg and removed your ability to walk temporarily or something like that. But oh wait,” Kira looked at the woman with a mocking expression. “You fucks took that away. Karma really is a bitch, you know.”

15) “Sorry,” apologized Kira while cutting her off. “I may be trying to walk on the path of good now, but you lot really pissed me off. I just can’t rest peacefully without finishing the job.”

The last time I had any contact with Chris was exactly a week ago when I fell asleep in his arms, and awoke to an empty bed. I knew it was too good to be true. Shamelessly I got dressed, grabbing my stuff and headed home.

The only thing that started to stress me out was Dominic. He started looking at me weirdly, asking me weird questions and wanting to be with me every second of the day. His suspicions stopped when I spent every second of every day with him. Not by want or choice, but because Chris hadn’t contacted me again.

Dominic loosened up on me, but I knew he was still onto me. I had to tread carefully because any little slip up, and it would be over. This made me anxious and I think he took notice of this.

Today was Madi’s birthday party at the triplets house, and of course he wanted to come with me. He was actually friends with Matt, so this made it a bit dicey. On edge since the morning, but trying to play it cool.

“You almost ready babe?” He called out from my living room

“Yeah baby! One moment” I yelled back

I looked in the mirror and finished with my hair, makeup and outfit. But not liking the reflection looking back at me. I was upset with myself, but not upset because I was cheating. I was upset that I couldn’t keep Chris for myself. I was a piece of shit honestly.

I walked out to the living room showing Dominic my outfit.

“Looking good as always” he would say

A compliment I was tired of hearing. Chris would call me beautiful, gorgeous, a goddess, his beautiful, beautiful Y/N. All I got from Dom was a “looking good”…..whatever

“Thank you” I said giving him a weak smile

I grabbed Madi’s gift, and we walked out to his car. Hopping in as we started to head over. I lived 40 minutes from the triplets, and the whole ride my thoughts were racing. Having to act nonchalant with Chris like we didn’t just fuck a week ago.

“You okay?” Dom asked me

“What? Oh uh yeah I’m good” I said snapping out of it

“You seem anxious” he said

“Me anxious? Why do you say that?” I asked getting more nervous

“You’re rubbing your left ear, only something you do when you’re anxious” he said

This set me back. This was the first thing Chris noticed about me after a while of hanging out. I would rub my left ear when I was nervous and he would always laugh at me for it. In this moment when I needed to be serious all I could think about was my Christopher

“Oh well you know get togethers, they make me a little nervous” I said laughing

“I didn’t know that” he said looking over at me

“Oh? Well now you do” I said smiling at him

We engaged in a few conversations here and there, and before I knew it we pulled up to the triplets house, and it looked like we were the last ones to get there….fuck my life

We walked in and up the stairs everyone immediately turning to us

“Heyyyy” Nick called out over the music

“Hi guys” I said waving at them

We walked into the kitchen where they were all standing and talking. I walked up to Madi first giving her a hug as Dom said hi to Nick and Matt first

I handed her her gift and she thanked me as we chatted a bit.

Chris came up to me poking my side

“Hey stranger long time no see” he said opening his arms for a hug

What a player I laughed to myself

“Hi Chris” I said hugging him

Dominic walked over

“Yooo Chris” he said dabbing him up

God this was so painfully awkward to see in person….

“Dominic what’s up” he said smiling in his face like he wasn’t fucking me last week

“Nothing much, how you been man it’s been a while” he said

“Oh I been good you know just filming and hanging out with friends” he said

I slithered away and made my rounds to everyone else hugging them. Saying hi and giving hugs to Nick, Matt, Tril, Larray, Madi’s mom, Nate, Justin, Mary Lou and Jimmy…the whole fucking crew for Madi’s party

“Ohh Y/N we haven’t seen you in so long” Mary Lou said pulling me in for a tight hug

“I knowwwww I haven’t been to Boston in so long” I said

“It’s so good to see you again” she said pulling away

“Yes it’s great to see you guys doing well” I said looking at her and Jimmy

We had all talked and laughed. Just all catching up and having a great time for Madi’s party.

Mary Lou and Laura were in the kitchen setting up an extra table to connect to the other one, and preparing the food.

I went upstairs to use the restroom. But also I really needed a break from everyone. My mind was flooded with so many anxious thoughts. I had a bad feeling about today, and I couldn’t shake it off. I really wanted to leave, but we had just got here

As I left the bathroom and turned off the light Chris came around the corner. Scaring me

“Oh shit you scared me” I said letting out a breath of air

“Oh I didn’t mean to” he said smiling at me

“So uh…how’s it going” I said trying to break the awkwardness

“How’s it going? Really” he said laughing

“Sorry this is awkward for me okay” I said looking at him

“Come down to my room for a bit” he said pulling me in

“Chris no! We have to stop” I said pulling his hands off of me

“Why? Don’t you want this?” He said looking at me confused

“Chris I don’t know what I want okay” I said scoffing

“Yes you do” he replied

“Listen we can’t keep doing this okay” I told him looking him in the eyes

“Why not?” He says pulling me in again

“Stop okay! You’re hurting me, I’m hurting you, and we’re hurting Dominic” I said roughly pulling his hands off of me

“Oh come on baby you know it’s not like that” he said

“We can’t keep doing this. You had me and you didn’t want me and you dropped me” I said stepping back

“But I want you now” he said reaching out to grab me again

“No okay! You can’t just pick and choose when you want me. I’m tired of running into your arms every other week. This is bad…very bad for my relationship” I said shaking my head

“What made you change? We've been doing this for so long?” He said stepping back

“I just…” I couldn’t spit it out

“Huh?” He said sticking his head out

“I can’t keep doing this because it’s you who I want, and I can’t have you because you don’t want me. This is done whatever we had going on is over” I said

“Don’t be like that” he said getting upset

“Chris! It is over okay” I said getting upset

His demeanor changed, no longer his sweet face, but an angry one. He scoffs and goes to respond when Dominic appears

“Oh there you are!” He said looking at us

“Everything alright?” He says looking at Chris

“Yeah everything’s alright” I said

“We were just having a bit of an argument” Chris says giving him a fake smile

“Oh?” Dom says cocking his head to the side

“Yeah Chris is an idiot” I said pulling Dominic with me as we walked downstairs

A little more time passed, and Chris kept shooting daggers into my head from beside me. I however was ignoring his gaze as my anxiety began to spike.

“Alright dinners done” Laura called out

We all made our way to the table picking our seats

I of course sat next to Dominic, and Chris sat diagonally from me in front of Dom. I felt his stares and I tried to ignore him.

We were all eating with occasional conversations. I looked at Madi who was seated in front of me.

“Are you doing anything else for your birthday?” I asked her

“As of right now I’m not too sure my mom has something special planned so she says” Madi says to me

“Ohhh fun, and how about that guy you were seeing?” I asked her

“well I’m still seeing him, but nothing crazy, but there’s another guy I’m also seeing” she said laughing

“Ouuu I see! Got your options” i said laughing

“I know someone like that” Chris says looking at me

My eyes widening slightly at him

“Except she has a boyfriend and is messing around with a guy, so at least you Madi aren’t seeing a guy who has a girl” Chris goes on to state as he looks over at Madi

“Oh yeah I would never” she says laughing

If there’s a god out there, and if so God, if you can hear me…take me out right now I plead in my head

“Right isn’t that crazy like just break up with the guy” he says taking a sip of his drink

I really wanted to strangle him right now, but I kept my composure

“You know I had an ex like that” Dominic says to Chris

“Ohhhh really?” He says his eyes lighting up as he sits up in his seat

“Yeah, I couldn’t figure out why she would do such a thing” he said shaking his head

Dom gave me a quick Look before passing me a piece of bread

He just nodded at me, his gaze lingering on me before going back to eating.

“So Y/N how have you been?” Mary Lou asks me

“Oh I’ve been good you know just working” I said smiling at her

“Oh I bet Chris has been telling me all about it” she says

I blink slowly trying to think of how to respond, while Dominic looks over at me in a questionable manner

I turn around and look at Chris

My world was crumbling and I had an audience to watch….how embarrassing

“I’m going to kill him” Dom says quietly

“We need to leave now” I said to Dom

“Don’t forget to take your black lace thong with you…you left it last week” Chris says with a smug expression

Next thing I know Dom pushed me out of the way and charged over to Chris. Everyone trying to hold him back, but he broke free

Next thing I know, Dom's fist connected with Chris' nose. Sending him back a few feet

“Dominic stop this” I plead trying to get to him

Chris immediately starts punching Dom and a huge brawl breaks out

What have I done….this was not how it was supposed to go

Everyone screaming for them to stop as the guys tried to pull them apart

They were scuffling on the floor, and all that could be heard was screaming, cursing and things falling down

“Get off of him” Matt started to say

Somehow they got back up and Chris slammed him onto the table. Glass breaking and dishes falling to the floor.

I have never wanted to disappear more than now

“Madi I’m so sorry” I say looking over at her

“Don’t worry about it” she says pulling me in

“I fucked up big time” I said looking at her

“Listen this is free entertainment okay” she says giving me a reassuring smile

Finally the guys were able to separate them

“Fuck you” Chris yelled at him

“You’re a piece of shit. Going after a man’s girl” he says smugly

“That’s not how it went…ask your girl” Chris says spitting blood on the floor

“The fuck are you saying” Dom states back

“Y/N never wanted you. It’s me who she wants. She stayed with you because she pities you. Go on ask her” Chris says laughing at him

“Is this true?” Dom asked me

“I think you should leave” I said looking down

“Are you serious right now?” He says defeated

“Just go okay….go” I said looking at him

“I can’t believe you right now” he says scoffing at me

Jimmy and Justin get Dom outside, and I run over into the kitchen to clean up the mess

“I’m so sorry guys…I messed up badly and I ruined everything” I said picking up glass

“Listen Y/N you may have done the wrong thing, but you need to make this right” Laura said

“Well clean this, go check on Chris” Mary says giving me sad eyes

I nodded and walked down to Chris' room.

I heard him in the bathroom spitting blood into the sink

“I’m sorry” I said to him in a whisper

“This wasn’t your fault” he said looking at me through the mirror

“Yes it is, and it has been for the last year” I said walking into the bathroom fully

“I threw you under the bus, and that was wrong. I was just upset” he said spitting more blood out

“Don’t worry about that, let me clean you up” I said

Chris sat on the toilet after rinsing his mouth with water while I took out the first aid kit.

“Let me see” I said

I examined his face. His blue eyes casting brighter against the dark blood that was peppered along his skin.

I wiped the blood from his nose, and from his busted lip. Cleaning it with peroxide so that it wouldn’t burn.

His left under eye slowly becomes purple with a bruise.

“He got you good” I said looking at him

“I know” he says looking at me

“But you got him better” I said rubbing ointment on his bruise

“And I got to keep his girl” he replied laughing a bit

“Chris” I said looking at him with a blank expression

“Too soon?” He says laughing and then wincing at the pain from the busted lip

“Too soon” I said in a hushed tone

I looked down at his hands, his knuckles cut, bleeding ns bruised

I wiped his hands clean and cleaned them with peroxide.

“I guess I was just so tired of seeing you unhappy with him” he randomly blurts out

“So you caused a big scene?” I said looking into his eyes

“I suppose so” he replied

“I wanted to break up with him on my own time” I said to Chris

“Well I want you now, and I couldn’t wait for you to keep brushing it off” he said

“You want me?” I said wiping his knuckled again

“I was just so scared of commitment. It’s a Scary thing, you know. To give all your time and energy to someone, and they could turn around and vanish” he said in a whisper

“I wouldn’t do that to you” I said rubbing ointment on his knuckles

“I know that now” he said

“You were the only man I was ever 100% about, and when I couldn’t have you as my own. I settled for whatever part of you I could have. I used Dominic to fill that cold void of you not by my side, and the warmth would come back when I laid in your bed as you worshiped my body” I stated

“I have always been 100% about you, and I let my stupid thoughts get in the way. When I saw you with Dom I was hurt, and I was angry with myself for not realizing sooner that…” be cut himself off

“That what?” I said reading his eyes for an answer

“That I love you Y/N” he says looking into my eyes

“That I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you. From the moment you walked into my life to the moment you walked out. Because I knew deep down you were the one for me” he says scanning my face

“I love you Chris” I said looking down at him

“The love I had for you caused me pain and pleasure all at once. To know that I had you, and I let you slip right through my fingers. I should’ve fought for us harder” I said closing the first aid kit

“It was I who should’ve fought for us” he said standing up

“I love you Christopher” I said looking up at him

“And I love you Y/N” he says

Chris pulled me in, rubbing his right thumb over my bottom lip. Looking at me really taking me in.

“My beautiful, beautiful Y/N” he whispers before crashing our lips together

This kiss was the last piece to my puzzle. He was my everything. His lips molded to mine in a way no others could.

Chris knew me and I knew him.

I was no longer a paramour, but a muse that would keep us going….I loved him with every fiber in my body
