What would your idea of a Dunmer feast be like? What spices would they use? This could be set in Morrowind or somewhere else!

A Velothi party is a long affair, and if you tap out before midnight you're considered kind of a dick. Dinner cannot begin until a heaping plate is made up and offered at the waiting door-- this is usually done by any children present. But it's common to put out a few snacks so people don't get too grouchy waiting for the main event. Fried ash yam croquettes and charred mushroom caps with bittergreen pesto are common choices.

Carbs and condiments are the real backbone of the meal. It isn't a feast without piles of wickwheat flatbreads flavored with caraway, and a big pot of saltrice studded with cumin, coriander, groundnuts, and dried comberries. Various chutneys: marshmerrow and mint, garlicky scrib jelly, pulped melon with black pepper and hot chilis. Raw hackle-lo is also served plain-- it eases digestion and refreshes the palate between dishes.

At a smaller scale the accompaniment will be a couple different stews, and one of these is likely to be spicy as all get-out. In large or wealthy households, where multiple cooks can provide, you'll see more labor-intensive dishes: kwama egg tarts, scrib pan-fried with mustard seed and asafoetida, bantam guar roasted after marinating in comberry wine and paprika.

Cheydinhal Dunmer have access to some imported goods from home, and have incorporated Nibenese curries, leavened breads, and pies into their feast tables. In Solstheim's harsh landscape, where few things can grow, one centerpiece ingredient is prepared several different ways to showcase the versatility and resourcefulness of the cook(s).

Salmon croquettes on brioche, fresh slaw, salmon skin chicharrones over romaine, yams, homemade tartar sauce.

Mix chopped cooked salmon with finely minced red bell pepper and celery. Add mayo, 1 egg and breadcrumbs until mixture will form a soft ball. Season with garlic / onion powder, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce, s&p. Form into balls then flatten. Pat patties in more breadcrumb. Shallow (pan) fry until golden brown on medium heat on both sides and temps to at least 130 in the center.

Drain on wire rack until no longer dripping, add pinch of maldon salt. Serve hot.

What's their go-to snack and how do they take their coffee/tea/or other preferred drink?

Rann is often experimenting with different fruits and tea leaf blends throughout their travels; he gets excited finding new things to try at various shops and vendors (I know he'd love swapping ideas with Colette ). He likes pretty much all of it but is classically an (earl grey) with just a splash of cream kind of guy. Prior to amnesia, Reverie was probably drinking three cups of a coffee black on nights she was working. :''D Becoming Arisen has ironically somehow been better for her health in a lot of ways actually… She loves trying all of Rann's different blends but raspberry hibiscus with honey is her favorite. For snacks, Rann doesn't particularly have a sweet tooth, but he does have a soft spot for sugar plum cheese danishes and pain au chocolat. (As a side note, while he's perfectly fine with fish he is a touch adverse to fish jerky) Reverie enjoys croquettes and that's probably what she almost burned the house down trying to cook. She snacks on a slightly inordinate amount of dried meat too. (she also hates cranberries) Olivia's more of a coffee drinker than tea, but she's fine with either. (Tea just has some bad connotations for all the scoldings she'd have to sit through with her mother.) She will be adding creams and sugars and all manner of sweet flavorings to both though. Her cup of coffee is pretty much precisely half-coffee, half-flavored creams. For snacks she's all about fruit; fresh fruit, fruity cakes and pastries, fruit juices, you name it. Dipping them in honey, chocolate, or cream is one of the preferred, simpler ways she goes about snacking (strawberry or figs in honey especially), because unless she's buying she sure as hell isn't making any cakes or pastries herself. Girl is only a step above Reverie because she knows not to risk burning the house down. Emrys takes his coffee as black and strong as they come, or with a splash of whiskey. Tea is "too weak" for him, but for taste he does enjoy masala chai or, alternatively, hot cocoa - w - And he'll eat... more or less anything, really. But for snacks he's kind of entranced watching Olivia eat those fruits dripping with honey. I think he's a big fan of a good spud though tbh, they're so versatile. Really enjoys sweet potatoes and yams too. Apples are up there too, especially cooked in cinnamon and sugar.

Definitely. Pretty much anything starchy is gonna get turned into a flatbread/pancake. I'd think it would also be common practice to cook up a big batch (roasting, boiling, etc) and make mash which is then used over the next few days. Eat the mash the first day, make pancakes the next day, croquettes on the 3rd...

A cross with…. wings and… two hands with swords…… Wow, this car definitely looks like something made by a kid.

I will not. I could not think of any way to lay them out. However I was thinking of adding some colour with a paintbrush and painting on my own design.
