Episode 10 was a cryfest through and through (I loved it). It was everything I could hope for and more. So much backstory and developments all around. I'll absorb the episode in a while and be more coherent about the nuances there.

🌯🗡️ anon here! Ok ok ok I know I said I'd leave you be for a bit since Ive sent way too many asks recently but BUT I have given you a a gift!
A gift? you ask, YES a gift. The little brainrot worms did their job and I wrote a bit of a oneshot inspired by sweeter than honey! Is it good? probably not. Is it brainrot? absolutely!
It's called Brighter Than Gold and the account name is DorylinaeSupremacy (army ants my beloved).
You probably got an email or something giving you a notification on it but consider this like ask as gift wrapping for you. Its nearly 2K words so its something that could be funsies for you to read.
Would it be considered fanart? fanwriting?? Enjoy the fanwriting of your fanwriting!
Do you feel that? Do you feel me holding you gently in my palms? Do you feel all the love I am projecting at you? You should. It's a lot. A tidal wave of adoration and love. You deserve it. I loved the fic. So incredibly accurate. I'm dying. Thanks for such a good death. So good.
Here's a link to it, by the way, so everyone else can see it.
You did such a good job! I wouldn’t have spotted it as your first fanfic! I love it. I'm eating it. I'm dying in bliss.
🌯🗡

one of the differences between good omens the show vs good omens the book that will always fuck me up is the post-bookshop fire scene. crowley goes from picking himself up, dusting himself off, accepting the loss of aziraphale and Just Driving Anyway to completely falling apart. i do get why people have gripes with it being changed so fundamentally, and i've thought about it a lot myself, but i've never been able to bring myself to get mad about it. i always circle back to how the book was written by two best friends. that drunken, wrecked, grief stricken scene was written in a post-pratchett world. he lost his best friend.

Sitting here watching s2xe5 and it’s the scene where Crowley is asking Aziraphale why his French is so bad and he says “I went to Monsieur Rossignol’s night classes in 1760”.
I decided to Google if this was a real person since the name wasn’t familiar to me, and instead I had my giant gay heart stomped on by Neil Gaiman once again.
The French word for nightingale: Rossignol
It’s the language of romance and Aziraphale took night classes with a Mr. Nightingale. I CAN’T BREATHE.

I really love the way they have written Sally and Percy’s relationship in the show. Sally being the mom of a neurodivergent kid and feeling like shes constantly failing. Her being isolated because she doesnt have anyone to talk to about this as a single parent. And she makes mistakes, she feels human. Then we have Percy feeling like a burden to his parent. He cant understand why none of his parents want him around even though its for his wellbeing. It’s so heartbreaking but so real.
