Especially with puppies. Kitties are too clean to have accidents, they usually pee on things out of spite (I should know)

Forgetting to let the puppy out to potty, ignoring their whimpering and barking and pawing at the backdoor.

Eventually they just can't hold it anymore and piss all over the floor. They're so embarrassed and afraid of getting in trouble so they go and hide

Finally getting done with your task and then remembering the puppy, you call for them to go potty but they're still hiding. You see the puddle by the door and call for them again, saying you aren't mad.

They come crawling out from their hiding spot and hesitantly creep towards you.

You put out your hand and they get excited. They go to lick it and nuzzle it and you just grab a fist full of their hair and shove their face into the puddle of their piss.

They yelp and struggle, choking as they accidentally lick up some of their mess.

Scolding them and telling them they know better. Yanking their tail and smacking their ass. Using your foot to keep their head pressed into the puddle.

Making them lick it up and then taking them outside to pee. Telling them to make sure and get it all out because if they have another accident they'll be sleeping outside.
