dude, growing up on the internet on 2016 was absolutely awful. everyone was so critical with eachother, especially in art communities. like some of the things people did back then kinda sticked with me, and i’m kinda realizing i still (subconsciously) hold those kind of values? which SUUUCKKS

Ok, but if you wanna circle that Siken quote around, maybe post the whole thing?
The second part is the important one.
Also, for those who still can't seperate fiction from reality and are obvi already pestering him, because he dared to name that ship:

i hate that "what do you do when you share a f/o with someone" poll not being made by a self shipper and just being on the apolladay blog where any sort of poll can go. it didn't even break containment, it was made without our space in mind. it seems like bait to me. moreover, and the reason i'm making this post: blocking someone is not negative, mean, or rude. it is a neutral action and we shouldn't assign morality to blocking or curating your own space. if you think someone blocking someone that they don't want to interact with is any of those things, including "weird," then you aren't mature enough to be on tumblr. it is their prerogative whether or not you agree. and anyone who's calling self shippers abnormal, weird, delusional (or my personal beloathed "delulu"), or any other derogatory term, you're similarly immature for being unable to even perceive those who are different from you without stooping to insults and i wish you all the best.

Ok but what if another turning point for the world power dynamic was the Suez Crisis of 1956. France and England were adamant that they control the canal while the US and USSR were (surprisingly) collaborative in their demand for a cease-fire in the region. I can just imagine Alfred storming into a meeting room with a storm in his eyes yelling at these two raggedy fucks to quit their dumb-ass behaviour. Giving them an eloquent lecture in front of the world. The room full of nations, still recovering from all the events of recent years, going quiet while both Arthur and Francois (for probably not the first time) start reevaluating their roles in the evolving global landscape.
Arthur would likely have felt a mix of anger, embarrassment, and surprise. He had grown accustomed to being an influential world power, and being confronted so forcefully by Alfred, especially as his son, would have challenged his sense of authority and superiority. Despite his pride, Arthur would also have acknowledged a sense of resignation, knowing deep down that the world was changing and that his empire's dominance was waning.
Arthur has a complex relationship with his children, and Alfred holds a special place in his heart as his favorite child (I'm sorry but it's true). He might recognize Alfred's achievements as a reflection of his own influence and guidance, feeling a slight mixture of satisfaction and pride in seeing his protege step into a position of power. Seeing the United States, a former colony, rise to prominence and challenge the established powers could evoke a sense of pride in Arthur as he recognizes the legacy of British influence and ideals that have shaped the nation.
Arthur does recognize the accomplishments of his "wayward son" to a degree. (what a loser)
Francois would definitely feel anger. Even stronger than Arthur, I think. The failure and backlash of the crisis would have strongly wounded his pride. He would display a certain stubbornness and reluctance to accept the changing dynamics of power, more so than Arthur. His pride and desire to assert France's influence might have led him to defend his nation's actions during the Suez Crisis, even in the face of mounting criticism and geopolitical realities. (huge loser)
The Suez Crisis, a focal point of tension, becoming a catalyst for transformation, shaping the dynamics of power and diplomacy for generations to come. In that meeting room, the world witnessed the birth of a new era, where old empires bowed to the demands of a changing world.

yk whats really funny to me? people tend to characterize lolbit as highly aggressive, but like.. its not. like genuinely, it doesnt ever kill you. it just.. what, stops you from using stuff?
if anything, its the least dangerous sister location animatronic??
AND its one of the helpful animatronics in fnaf world!! it provides you with all sorts of helpful bytes! and dee dee (also a shopkeeper in fnaf world, and originating from there like lolbit) in the main games is only characterized as a nuisance by fans, not aggressive. if anything dee dee is worse - they dont offer a way for you to stop them like lolbit does, and you have to scramble to figure who the hell was added because they could very well kill you.

I thought I would take some time today to gather some flower refs for ffxiv prints, specifically flowers that matched the colors of job stones/soul crystals and BOY did it take a literal 3 hours to get all of them a match @ A @ ; and some of them are reaching LOL
Like you want to find me a GREY, SEAFOAM, or GREEN HELLO? flower - too bad I did it already - but G O D. Some of the choices were like "oh wow, this flower matches the color and vibe of DRG perfectly. It even looks like a little snowflake to give Ishgard imagery and its spiky like the end of a lance!" but my favorite ones were "Oh GNB is yellow and mimosas are yellow and they're my fave, so :)"
Hardest finds were NIN, MCH, and SAM T v T but i did it in the end. Everyone's got a flower match and hopefully I'll have enough drive to actually make these after all of this work LOL

I dont want to dredge up drama especially mean-spirited ones but I think its very funny to complain about people 'flanderizing the slugcats' in the same breathe that you state they're just animals.
I have my own gripes with the way people characterize the slugcats or even engage with RainWorld as a whole but can you explain to me how someone can 'flanderize' The Survivor in any way that isn't basically just "Gave them a personality at all."
Flanderization is the reduction of a complex or multi faceted character down to singular easy to digest traits and while I /do/ think many of the slugcats at least have hints of personality they are not explored or hinted at enough to call most of them (themselves) deeply complex characters. They behave in very reserved ways- because they're animals and also player controlled- and they're minute enough that I can completely understand wanting both a stronger or more distinct personality to play with in fanon, and how both of those can coexist without either feeling really 'off.' Like I'm not a particularly huge fan of hyperactive high-energy rivulet fanon but I also can't really pretend that a more reserved rivulet is 'more right' just because its closer to how they act in game... which is like an animal that can also follow orders. Because its an animal. A smart animal but an animal.
Iterators are another story entirely though, but frankly you haven't seen RW flanderization unless you experienced pre-downpour Five Pebbles
