Hi!!! I think it's all about brush selection. A lot of watercolor brushes get the color and tone play well, but end up looking all wet and slimey once you start to draw with them, because they lack any noise effect in them, which wouldn't be the case in real life, since irl you're also working with texture of your paper sheet. If you look at the three main brushes that I use, they all have a paper pattern already built in them, and to me, it creates all the difference. My fav brush is marker by the Dawner, plus I really like the Watercolor Maxpack (sadly, I dont remember where the middle one came from...). You can also throw noise or paper texture on top of simpler brushes.

Would you ever consider doing a step by step for your drawing process? (Nothing too complicated necessary!)

Yes sure! I'll try to explain my process as best as i can :>

Just fyi, i use clip studio paint for most of my art

Starting with the sketch, i don't usually put all too much detail into it when i'm planning to line it. I'm mostly just trying to figure out what goes where and stuff

When it comes to the lineart, first of all, i rarely use black. I also like to use a pencil brush (design pencil iirc) since my lineart is essentially my clean-up sketch lol

I rely a lot on being able to flip the canvas and resize and move things around, especially when it comes to the face

I do like to make the eyes black so that they stand out more :>

To get a colored lineart look without actually having to color the lineart i set it to multiply so that the base colors can show through. That is also the main reason why i prefer to use brown for lineart

I fill in the base colors manually because the bucket tool often leaves gaps due to the texture of my lineart haha

For blush i just take the skin tone, move the hue slightly closer to red, and add more saturation. After that i set it to multiply and lower the opacity

And for the white of the eyes i want an off-white color, so to achieve that without having it clash with the skin, i just use pure white and lower the opacity to 75%

If the drawing doesn't have any specific lighting, i usually use a reddish orange for shading

I don't usually pay much attention to shading. i just put it where it looks good, set it to multiply (multiply really is my best friend here lol) and lower the opacity until i'm happy with it

If i'm feeling fancy i even add some blue for bounce light :>

Lastly, i add some highlights on the eyes and sometimes on the jewelry, aand it's done :>

hiii yeas ^_^ as of late ive been getting em from stickerninja and stickerapp! Id suggest stickerninja as a whole, since stickerapp now feels like gambling on whether or not theyll mess your order up, but it really depends on multiple factors of a sticker design....like if i need it sooner, if i need it in a specific material (i got those Kraft Paper silco stickers made on stickerapp), if I want a lower minimum order quantity, etc. Stickerninja is where I got that Silco sticker made (the first design) ^_^

Ive also done stickers with vograce and would do so now too if i wanted specific material (lots of places dont have Heart ❤️ or Star ⭐ Holographic, but they do) but its been a while since I love and prefer matte stickers and I dont think they had that option at the time. (Vograce is where i got a lot of the jojo stickers made)

Oh also ever since my last haircut a month or so ago ive been using this leave-in gel that totally changed the texture of my hair. It's way more coily now aand i can have it in a way where i dont even need to comb it, just even it out with my hands when it's wet. And bc my hair is shorter too it saves so much time and reduces the shedding from combing almost completely. My sis networked w somebody who owns a barber shop so hopefully that means i can continue to keep my hair shorter and coily, i think this style suits me way more than the medium-length afro we had.

CG Promotional mode: Acceptable, I the huge metallic forehead actually makes me think of Metal Sonic...the fused eye visor is probably helping with that. I like his eye liner wings too. Shame he's not showing more carapace tho? There's barely any visible yellow there, worsened in the second image by the harsh lighting and pose. Also his helmet has flared cheekbones and that sucks

Promotional art: Good! The CG model's proportions feel a bit bland? But here he's properly chunky, just a big fluffy lump, properly bumblesome!! ; u ; The chonkier gauntlets help the hands stand out more, the minimal body armour is mostly visible at the base of the wings, which helps sell them as a cybernetic augmentation! There's far more yellow visible...weirdly by showing more skin it feels like they're able to convey the cyborg angle a lot better?? Looks more like a bee + metal parts, as opposed to just a bee in a biker suit Unfortunately, this approach...uh...doesn't do it for me on the face! It doesn't feel like a helmet anymore, which makes the eye visor read more like ugly goggles? And makes the blue on the top feel like.....a metallic receding hairline ' ~ ';

Shout out to his pinkie finger, holding a firearm as daintily as a teacup, feels badass in a very specific way

In-game model: Shitass, garbage. All the problems I had with the promo art's head have been made worse! So very not a helmet, this looks like one squishy soft biological fuckin mug, it even looks like the goggles are pinching it in around the middle, bleehhaargh. THEY TURNED THE RECEDING HAIRLINE INTO FUCKING TOTAL BALDNESS!! And moved the antennae waaaaaaaay back to emphasise it!! AAAAAAAA.

AAND,,,,SO MUCH OF THE BODY IS JUST, FFUCKING BLUEISH BLACK, SO BLAND!!

To be fair, it's probably just not optimised to look good from the front. In game you get a good dosage of bumble bum, which adds a lot of colour! The sprouting from the back of the head was probably an attempt to make them stand out from this view too.....OF COURSE, viewing it in-game has the downside of, uh, meaning you're looking at a visually middle of the road N64 game, which is just, just unfortunate. (Nothing against low poly games, just I'd prefer them crisp like the PSX or Saturn, rather than desperately blurred into oblivion, fucking just smeared in grease and texture filtering like the N64)

For this one I decided to have fun with a circuit board texture of sorts and binary code instead of glitching/distortion effects :3 Anyway, the circuit board texture on the character's skin is supposed to give, like, infectious vibes? Which I hope I achieved at least a little. Highly recommend to listen to the song along this for the full effect, tbh. Also also, the binary code in the background is not random, there's a message there if you feel like decoding it 👀

But anyway! With this series up to date for the time being and the worst of summer over, I'm probably gonna switch back to my usual for a while. Stay tuned for it!

“What” you laughed, “You suck blood and you’re from Transylvania.”

They froze, entirely still. “Fuck off, we are not from the fictional city”- Katsuki growled.

“Actually, I’m pretty sure Transylvania exists, it’s part of Romania”, Eijiro interrupted, “Anyway”, he cleared his throat, “We are not from Transylvania aand that’s a pretty offensive stereotype sweetheart.”

“You’re joking”, you say- you stop and look around at the boys’ faces “you are joking, right”. They looked at you with blank expressions. “Why would we by joking”, Denki asked.

“Because vampires aren’t real”, you replied.

“I think you’ll” find, Katsuki replied with venom, “vampires are very real.” “Prove it”, you said.

“So, what would you want us to do”?, Denki replied.

“Like, I don’t know, turn into bats or something.”

“Oh my god she’s literally brain dead”, Katsuki said- turning to Hitoshi. “He doesn’t mean that”, Hitoshi said to you, “Vampires have never been able to turn into bats, that’s an urban legend”. “Well, what can you do then?”, you responded, barely feeling the fear any rational person would in this situation. “I mean we have fangs,” Eijiro said. “Show me”, you said.

He promptly curls his fingers around his lips, pulling his cheeks back to reveal his teeth. His canines were long, sharp and pointed resting against lower teeth.

Fangs. Sharp and most certainly deadly.

“Holy shit, you actually weren’t lying, were you?” you gasped They all shook their heads,

“You’re- you’re vampires” “In the flesh, actually you know technically we don’t have flesh” Denki laughed. “It’s true, feel,” Eijiro said before giving you, his bicep to feel the texture of his 'skin'. You felt his frigid cold arm, nope definitely did

not feel like skin.

You didn’t not notice the insane muscle that he had beneath his ‘skin’ “Okay jeez I believe you now, so what did you lure me out here to drink my blood?” “I wish”, Katsuki remarked “You humans are so goddamn annoying, you know.” "No, you're pretty, thought you seemed cool, that's it." Hitoshi said plainly. A small breech of light began to rise on the horizon. They all hissed slightly, beginning to feel the burn of the sunlight

“Come back to ours”, Denki quickly said. “We have to go like, now. Us not liking the sun was one of the only things the legends got right”. You pondered for a moment, was it really a good idea to go to a vampires house? Furthermore, was it right to go to a vampire’s house that you had known for only an hour? You took your chance, “yeah okay, sounds great”.

Hitoshi tried to pick you up, trying to scoop you up underneath your armpits.

"What do you think you're doing" you snapped at him. "You said you want to come to ours, I'm trying to get you there", he replied snarkily, yet without malice.

“We’re not going to walk at human pace, we’ll roast." Katsuki joked. You paused, wondering what he meant by speed that wasn’t human.

“Okay then”, you nodded, No matter how strange you saw it, you allowed yourself to be lifted by Hitoshi. They ran, so fast you couldn’t see anything. Hitoshi gripped your legs tightly, Definitely over 100 miles per hour.

The run was short. Nowhere over 5 minutes, you had no way to tell where you were or how far you had run when Hitoshi finally put you down “I think I’m going to be sick”, you complained, feeling motion-sick from their intense speed.

You looked up. Their house was huge, unimaginably so. Other than that, it was just an average house. It surprised you. You must’ve looked it because Katsuki said to you: “What were you expecting dungeons and moats?” he laughed slightly. You could tell he was slowly but surely warming up to you.

You laughed back “not the moats”, you said. “No dungeons here,” Hitoshi said, “unless you're into that”. You could tell he wasn’t joking.

“Come in” Denki said in a sing-song voice “There’ll be no hot vampires to hang out with if we all burn to death”.

You laughed at that; stepping into their house. It was dark inside, almost pitch black with floor to ceiling blackout curtains that covered every window. You could barely make out the furniture scattered around the living space. It was obvious to you that none of these boys were interior decorators.

You stood out the entryway. “Come on in, we don’t bite- actually we do we’re vampires, you know- but, we promise we’re not actually going to bite you”, Denki said “Speak for yourself”, Katsuki added. “Me personally, I would love to sink my teeth into you.” You shuddered at the thought.

i had a dream where i could do the warframe "void invisibility" thing and 2 different people saw me while i was doing it and asked me if i saw the "patch notes" that "they" did talking about how they changed the "walk cycle" and alls i could think was "im fucking walking with my own two legs and my brain fuck off, how the fuck can you see me"

also a bear and someone i sorta know was there

i found a small like human sized tank (in a bog/fen/marsh)that i could pick up with relative ease and used it to intercept the blows from the bear ( i even told the other person to run away and not to worry, cuz ill 'tank' the blows lol) until i realized that the bear was trying to guide us somewhere (thru a tundra)and being as gentle as they could about it

eventually i let them "grab" my hand and drag me to this park (with SUPER OLD and fat and gnarled and relatively short trees with some of the densest foliage id ever seen) where the bear tried to officiate a wedding between the person i knew aand myself and force us to get married to eachother using the one ring from lotr.

the 3 of us had a bit of a cartoonish slap fight about it (cuz me and hte other person did NOT want to get married and especially not forced to by a bear, and the bear was DETERMINED to make this happen) until i actualy got to LOOK at the ring and see that it was the one ring and told them both and slapped the bear on the back a couple times and laughed about it. the bear looked like they were about to cry and the other person immediately got on the phone to tell their friend about the whole ordeal.

I CANNOT express just how RELIEVING it was that, that was all it fuckign took to stop this bear from tryna marry us. i may have also JUST ALMSOT lost my vision and myself to the ring and its influence while i was tryna perceive it, but its ok i pulled myself back. and thats all it took. i was so happy about that

i managed to make the ring disappear somewow andi think the dream ended roudn there

oh yeah, earlier in the dream before all this, the first person who caught me being invisible tried to pull a sword of a cabinet to like attack me with. but it was like a sword in the stone kinda deal and while they managed to get it out, they broke off an entire section of the cabinet with it and almost dropped it thru the floor cuz it was so heavy. i managed to redirect its fall onto a plate on a table and nothign broke but god when it hit the table it was so fucking heavy it felt like it should have broke a hole all the way thru to the earths core and then some. anyways we had a whisper argument about what just happened until the part with the bear happened

also the sowrd had to have been around 12 or 15cm?? or less? it was very wide and thick and it looked like it was carved directly out of stone. it felt like it too. the textures o the blade looked incredibly like carved stone and some parts of the handle too. but for the most part as far as i could tell. it wasnt
