Explorers expected to find this house in poor condition but were surprised to find the first floor in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, the 2nd fl. rooms were on the verge of collapse, possibly b/c of a leaky roof.
Look at this, though. What a shame- the floor, fireplace and furniture is all going to waste.
I just don’t understand what makes people abandon these homes, fully furnished, and left to rot. Look at the oil paintings.
Antique sideboard looks like the family just walked off.
The architecture- an arched doorway and look at the bar under the stairs. The brass candle holders on the piano are even beautiful.
We’re upstairs, now. The wallpaper has water damage and the garden is creeping thru the window.
Beautiful bedroom set left to rot.
Looking at the furniture is upsetting.
This room is bad, looks like the roof separated from the wall already.
The bathroom is shot.
Now, look at that fireplace.
You have to wonder who the owners are or who’s responsible for places like this.
abandoned everything

Here is what the basement of this mansion looked like, it was something straight out of the 1960s, absolutely amazing space!!
Built in 1962 this absolutely incredible mid century mansion had only one owner and almost nothing has changed in the home since then! Sitting on a huge 4 acre lot with a swimming pool, the house was sold in 2020 for $12,000,000. Unfortunately given the area where it is located the home will almost certainly be demolished in the near future to make way for a much larger mansion.
The owner of this home (let's call him Jeff) was born in 1933, he paid for his university education from being a reservist in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Jeff began his career as a prospector in Northern Ontario and Quebec almost 60 years ago and has staked many claims during that time Over his decades long career, he had developed mines all over the world, mostly copper, nickel and gold. One such mine was sold in 1994 which provided him with a perpetual royalty payment that was as much as $7 million per year. A very savvy business man and he also liked to invest his profits in the stock market, where he both lost and made millions. Jeff was also very generous, having donated an eight-figure sum to various charities over the years. One interesting thing to note is that he also had a favourite restaurant where he went every day for 30 years.
Jeff passed away in 2015 at the age of 81 and his wife of 53 years passed in 2020 at the age of 87.

You know what actually baffles me to no end? The zionist attempt to make you seem antisemitic with questions like "Do you think Jews deserve a national homeland? If not, then think hard about why Jews are the only people who don't."
What is that assumption that I believe any other ethnic-religious group would "deserve" a national homeland? What world are these people living in?
Like... What other ethnicity/religious group has been given land (by people whose land it wasn't even to give) to make their "national homeland"? Seriously? What other ethnostates are there and who would think that is a moral concept to begin with?
People have always migrated and mingled. Even my country, which is a small and rather homogeneous one on an international scale, consists of many different peoples living together.
Nationalists are weird.

This is crazy. Look at all the things left in this abandoned house. The explorers were here for hours looking around, and apparently, the former owner’s brother lives next door, and even though he locks it down, people get in, and it’s been looted.
Look at all the holy water fonts on the wall.
This is an amazing collection of religious statues.
Beautiful window.
It makes you wonder why this was all left behind.
Looks like a vintage doll carriage.
All of the antique furniture is in good condition.
Lovely marble topped mantel.
There are all sorts of valuable antiques in here- that vase looks like one that my mom had in her antique shop.
Kitchen ceramics.
Unopened wines. This is such a waste.
abandoned everything!

Hello, My Name is Margaret
You can find the link to the brand new video below!!
https://youtu.be/mf5BsJKU4lk
For our first post, let's take a look at some exteriors!!
Hello, My Name is Margaret. I was born July 19th, 1926 into a farming family, I had 7 siblings, one sister and 6 brothers. My father was born in 1880 and my mother in 1888, they were married in 1906. We lived simple lives growing up, the boys would help my father in the fields while my sister and I would help my mother in the kitchen with the cooking. As we grew older most of my brothers moved away, although David stayed behind to help father on the farm.
When I was 30, my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We all had a grand time with family and both friends and neighbours, we even announced the occasion in the local newspaper, we saved the clipping and it can been seen in an upcoming photo. My father died 9 years later at which point my brother David took over the family farm. When my mother passed away in 1978, I was devastated but fortunately David was there to keep me company. David died in 1997 and I couldn't bear to take down the kitchen calendar from the year before. I was on my own for about 5 years until 2002 when I moved to the retirement home. It was a place filled with wonderful people and I really enjoyed my time there.
Margaret would later pass away in 2015 at the age of 89.
I have to give a huge shoutout to my sister Anne for playing the role of Margaret in the video. She has her own YouTube channel called Crafters' Grove, where she has a mix of crafting and DIY renovation videos that are really quite helpful!! I am sure she would appreciate it if you pop by to say hello in the comments and subscribe to her channel!!
