where would the Potaotes (1st and 2nd Gen) go for vacations? Their dream vacation. Oh it must be set in the real world because their getting away from the magic and the Otherworld.
First off, sorry this took so long:
Mini: Ok, senior trip. Where do you wanna go?
Brynne: The Bahamas!
Mini: I don't know about that-
Aru: Let's go to Hell
Mini: ...No.
Brynne: Aru, we don't even believe in Hell. It's just a bunch of lower dimensions.
XD Ok, for real. Potato Family Vacations
The Shah-charyas:
Abha: Ok, I'm off school AND training for the summer, so that leaves us 3 months to play with for our family vacation. Where are we going?
Aru: Ho-
Aiden: Don't say Home Depot, that's not a vacation spot.
Aru: Says you...
Aiden: Come on, Aru. We've got portals that can take us literally anywhere in the world. Where do you want to-
Aru: Cross-country! We can literally pop over to all of the best places! We can be in the Grand Canyon one second and at Niagara Falls the next!
Aiden: Those aren't even in the sa- You know what, never mind. Abha, where do you want to go?
Abha: Well, I'm up for the popping idea as long as we can drop by Stonehenge.
Aru: Wait, you wanna watch a bunch of rocks?
Abha: I can only solve why they're there if I'm there in person!
Aru: There it is.
Aiden: Abha, are you sure you want to spend your vacation working on an archaeological dig?
Aru: Oh yeah, because that's any less boring than your idea.
Aiden: THE FOAM MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT BORING!
Abha and Aru: Ok, Wifey.
Aru: Wait, DON'T CALL YOUR FATHER WIFEY
The Kapoor-Mercado Lopezs:
Mini: Rudy, hurry up!
Rudy: What's the hurry, Mini? We have portals!
Mini: Yes, but if we're going to get through everyone's separate trips, we need to be in Paris before breakfast.
Rudy: Ok, but we're not going to make it to the catacombs if we have to lug all of that medical supplies. Is it really-
Mini: Yes, Rudy. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Mini: Priya! Suru! Get down here or we're leaving without you!
Priya: You and I both know you wouldn't leave us without a crash course on safety, Mom.
Mini: Whatever. Are your bags all packed?
Priya: Yup. I've got a list of all the anime cons and cafes I'm gonna hit in Tokyo. And I've got my cosplay ready.
Suru: And Alex and I can't wait to go exploring the Amazon with papa!
*Alex barks in affirmation*
Mini: Ok, but make sure to wear your sunscreen. And drink plenty of water. And don't wear anything that'll make you too hot. Or cold. Or-
Priya: Are we going on vacation or back to war?
The Raos:
Hira: Ok, so for our vacation spots, we've got the Geranium in Denmark, Venice, and The Srirangam Temple in Tamil, Nadu.
Ghata: Nice! Now we can spend each morning praying in the world's biggest Mandir
Hira: Then go sightseeing via gondola in the afternoons
Brynne: And spend the nights dining on the best ranked food in the world...besides mine of course...
Hira: About that, you sure you can handle critiquing their food, dear?
Ghata: Yeah, Amma. You kind of have a tendency to go overboard whenever you're in critiquing mode.
Brynne: Whoa, I have a critiquing mode?
Hira: I call it Raomsay Mode. Just promise not to get us thrown out.
Brynne: ...Maybe I should pick some backup restaurants...
The Khans:
Kara: Valerie, sweetie, you need a vacation!
Valerie: Ma, I have to get my summer studying done! My grades have been-
Sydney: Quite fine, actually. You did make the top spot again.
Valerie: Yeah, by a mere 2 points! At my best I've been doing 50!
Sydney: Look, I propose a deal. We'll spend the days going sightseeing and learning facts about the places we go and then we'll come right back for you to get your studying done for the night.
Valerie: Go on.
Sydney: Besides, I have heard much about my namesake and cannot wait to hear the beautiful compositions of the Sydney Opera House!
Kara: And we can relax and unwind in Hawaii! You can still read, but it'll feel much better on the beach with the sun shining on your skin and the waves crashing as white noise, won't it?
Valerie: ...Can I do it while eating Malassadas?
The Twins:
Nikita: I still don't see the point of us traveling when we can literally make up much better worlds in our dreams.
Sheela: First off, Nikki. You don't make the dreams, I do. Second, in the dream world, the experience will feel completely watered down. Sure, you can dream about doing a fashion show in Milan, but it'll have less of the same feel, your vision will be blurred, and let's face it, when we eat there, it's literally just our imagination.
Nikita: Fine. At least when we get to Milan, I'll be able to show them some real outfits. You all set for the Great Blue Hole?
Sheela: Yup. Those fish in Belize won't know what hit em!
The OSS Commanders:
Leon: For the last time, Irida, we are NOT going club-hopping in England. Not only is that a waste of time, but you are far too young!
Maya: Disneyland!
Irida: Hey, don't get pressed with me, gramps! At least it's better than your idea to go ice fishing in the Antarctic! Even though the penguins and seals are totes kawaii!
Maya: DISNEYLAND
Astoria: This is why I wanted to visit the Shaolin Temple. At least that place has discipline.
Maya: DIS-NEY LAN-DUH!
Cyrus: No offense, my meditative master, but training in a temple doesn't sound like a vacation to me. My vacations are chilling out on the beach, be it Fiji, the Caribbean, or with the Galapagos tortoises, sipping on juice and listening to the music of nature.
Maya: *deep breath* I WANNA GO TO-
Leon: Maya, we're not going to Disneyland. It's too crowded. And if you say it again, you're staying home!
Maya: 😢
Cleo: ...You guys do know we have portals, right?
Everyone: ...

It’s a small village in the Dausa district in northern Rajasthan and is located at 95km from Jaipur, towards the Jaipur-Agra highway. The present name of the village, 'Abhaneri', is believed to be a mispronunciation of 'Abha Nagri' or the 'city of brightness'. Travel ask: 7 & 18
7. Tell me about your dream trip
My dream trip will most definitely be to America, any state (I havent thought which). I would enjoy the novelty, the modern architecture and will meet a lot of american friends. I will also *gasp* realize that its such a coincidence that all my other friends who dont live in USA are there too! We are going to eat at a hundred different places, go to bars (and enjoy me getting shit-faced for the first time), teach me to dance a bit and spend time in tourist places admiring the place and giggling and fangirling.
We will have so much fun and will commemorate it in a billion pictures and videos. I would also play my 'i am a younger!' card and read their originals free (because i spent all my money coming to US plus all the shopping and luxury stuff I did) and will gush about their books to them. (lol I have a very vivid imagination)😅😅
18. What is the first big trip you remember?
Abha (went there in 2018). It was a gorgeous place in Saudi Arabia, most of it was either on mountain or around mountainous areas. the drive was 9 hours long and me and my siblings were trying to combat our motion sickness with our excitement of a road trip and dad's cellphone because he said and i quote 'take the damn phone but for god's sake, dont throw up you four!' lol. but in the end, it was worth it to have no school, stress and be surrounded by my fave aunt and uncle and enjoy the beauty 😍😍

Can U please reply to my question on Irida? Like some headcanons about her? How about her friendship with Kara? Let say they have a close relationship and she took Kara out to the club as celebration for becoming an official agent.
+got anything for the spring break ask?
Hmm, lots of headcanons at play here, so maybe I can hit them all at once:
Irida: OMDs, girl! I can't believe you're finally an OWS agent! We have to celebrate! I'm taking you out for Spring break!
Kara: Aww, thanks Irida! Where do you wanna go?
Abha: I was thinking Niagra falls.
Priya: Vegas!
Suru: Safari!
Ghata: Agra!
Irida: What the- WHY are you brats in my ride? If I wanted to hang around babies, I would've invited Maya!
Priya *mocking her valley girl accent*: Wehl gurl, we like totally wanted to hang out with our tubular new teach during our break-uh! You don't mind, right bestie?
Irida: I DO NOT SOUND LIKE THAT-UH!
Abha: Can we pick a place to go before she starts saying fetch?
Kara: Kids, so your parents know you're here?
Abha: As far as they know, we're still on our school mission. They seem to like the alone time though.
Irida: Oooh, I bet they're getting bizay and cray cray!
Priya: Ugh, careful. That's totes R-rated talk around a PG-rated kid ya know.
Irida: I didn't tell you runts to-
Kara: Actually, I wasn't feeling comfortable leaving Valerie alone with Sydney. I trust them, but I think I'd miss her too much.
Valerie: Mother, I'm touched! But you should go have fun.
Irida: HOW DO THEY KEEP FINDING-
Valerie: Kind of easy to see you when you park outside the school after they let us out for Spring Break...
Irida: ...
Kara: Hop in, sweetie!
Valerie: But-
Kara: We're going to the GODIVA Factory! Right, Irida?
Irida: What-ever. It's your celebration. And I could go for some chocolate.
Valerie: Well if you insist!
Everyone: ROAD TRIP!!!

Chapter 28 of Pretty Things is up!
Chapters 1 & 2 are free.
Pretty Things is part of the Sponsors universe, but you don’t need to have read The Sponsors to understand it (hopefully!). Please forgive the poorly photoshopped cover. :( I plan on doing it as a digital illustration at some point.
Summary:
As zhalja to the eldest prince, Rhazaaq Samir has the most enviable position a slave could boast. Yet with all the glamor and prestige that comes with being a royal zhalja, Samir isn’t living the luxurious life other see. While his sponsor Rhazaaq Zhafal is fair despite his cold nature, Zhafal’s half-brother Uyhem harbors a terrifying obsession with Samir that flips between adoring and violent at the speed of a changing wind. To ensure an illusion of safety, Samir begins building a coalition of valuable allies, from servants to ex-smugglers, who can help him cement what little control he can possess. Despite all his efforts, Uyhem’s overbearance cannot be denied, which is how Samir ends up at a gladiator fight, where thieves and prisoners of war are forced to battle it out for the amusement of the Empire’s populace. It’s at a fight that Samir meets a Mulli soldier captured from the Hahnar Empire’s rival, someone who claims to know him from a past life— one that Samir has tried to forget.
Forced together at Uyhem’s insistence, Samir grudgingly learns more about this Mulli soldier, and in the process, develops the first glimmer of hope for escape.
Artwork and a chapter archive can be found HERE.
Excerpt:
One of the men on board paused and then looked over the railing to Samir below.
“Yeah, what you want?”
“I need to speak to the captain.”
“You’re talkin’ to ‘im.”   The man was bearded, middle-aged, and had the leather skin of someone always outside. Samir had no reason to question him. “Lower the gangplank. I wish to board.”
“Who the fuck are you?”
“Who do you think, you small-minded sea rat?” Samir snapped back.
“Uh, maybe don’t insult the captain of our getaway ship,” Mamoud whispered in Samir’s ear, glancing over his shoulder toward the street where the crowds were getting chaotic.
Samir ignored him. He knew Abhas and how he’d act with inferiors. He wasn’t going to let doubt seep in when the next few minutes would be critical to their survival.
The captain peered down at him a moment, then pulled away from the side of the ship. For a second Samir thought he’d gone back to his work and ignored Samir all together, but then he heard the clink of wood and metal hinges, and a skinny ramp was lowered, something with no railings to secure one’s balance. Samir would have to take his time with the climb to make sure he came across as competent. He didn’t know how much Abhas knew about ships, because while he had significant connections with pirate factions, Samir wasn’t sure if he’d ever actually been a pirate.
“Take this,” Abhas ordered Mamoud, dropping his traveling sack at Mamoud’s feet. It hurt him to force such strenuous labor on Mamoud, but Abhas would never deem to carry his own load, and right now he cared more about having his identity believed than he cared about anything else. Giving Mamoud what he hoped came across as an apologetic look, he hitched his khabil up his calves and walked up the gangplank, moving slowly so as not to trip and fall into the black water below.
When Samir set foot on the deck, the captain held out a hand.
“I want to see proof that you’re Abhas,” he said. He was heavily tattooed and missing several teeth, not the sort of man Samir would ever elect to cross.
Samir considered doing a bit of theatre and questioning this man’s integrity, but Abhas would be someone who understood suspicion. He wouldn’t blame a man for demanding proof of identity. So Samir dug into his pocket and removed the amulet, placing it in the captain’s upturned palm.
“Hmm.” The captain inspected it with a frown, turning it over several times and running a fingernail along the surface. Finally he handed it back, eying Samir warily.
“What do you need?”
“Immediate evacuation.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Backstory: Sebastian was born on April 16th, 1968 in Norrköping, Sweden. He grew up in Gothenburg. He does not talk very much about his childhood, but has said that his parents were often very busy with their jobs from the age of 6, to his later teen years. Because of this, Sebastian played with himself and sometimes with the neighborhood kids, although, they weren’t too nice to Sebastian. In his senior year in high school, at 18, Sebastian met Siv Svennig, they were both the same age and went to the same school. Sebastian and Siv instantly hit it off, later marrying when they were 20 years old, having dated and loved each other for two years. At age 23, Siv became pregnant, and nine months later on August 18th, Sebastian Gustav Svennig Jr was born. Sebastian became a doting father and managed his best to juggle being a father with his job at a bar and music store. Six years later, Siv became pregnant again, giving birth to another baby boy, Karl Martin Svennig, on December 15th. Sebastian was a great husband, a great father, and a great story teller, he would tell funny stories all the time at the bar to his friends. Sebastian would see fights, hear hilariously stupid conversations, and other whack shit at the bar, adding those instances to his stories. At 39, in 2007, Sebastian met Olaf Strousborg, an engineer and software designer, the two became good friends with a brother-like relationship.
On October 11th, 2009, Sebastian and his friends Gustav Bergman and Elias Svensson went on a camping trip in the secluded woods in east Linköping. Their intent was to have a fun time in the woods, a scary place to be at night, especially near Halloween, but that plan did not go well. Everything was fine, until when the trio went to sleep. Gustav and Elias went into their tents to sleep, quickly realizing that they forgot to bring Sebastian a tent, Sebastian joked and just decided to sleep on the grass, with nothing but a pillow and small blanket. 30 minutes later, Sebastian awoke to the sound of some heavy breathing on his face, and some pressure on his chest. Opening his eyes, Sebastian came face-to-face with a black bear, rare creatures to be seen in Sweden. Sebastian instantly panicked, screaming and beginning to struggle in an attempt to get free, startling the bear and causing it to attack him viciously. Sebastian fought the bear the best he could, but to no avail, the Bear was too strong for him and ripped him up. His neck was brutally ripped open, along with his chest, blood was gushing out of his mouth, nose, and wounds. Gustav and Elias rushed to his side once the bear left, immediately tending to his wounds, phoning for help, and trying their hardest to keep Sebastian awake. He was alive for two minutes more, unable to breathe, and in so much pain. Sebastian was rushed to the hospital, where emergency surgery was performed on him, but there was nothing they could do that would help him. He was D.O.A, Dead On Arrival, his wife was the first to be called and told of what happened. Everyone that knew Sebastian raced to the hospital, nearly crowding the waiting room. It was a completely devastating night for Sebastian’s friends and family.
After being pronounced dead at 12:00 am, Sebastian rose from his body and began to walk around, very confused and scared. He was a ghost, the fact that he was dead kicking in less than twenty seconds. Half of his memory of when he was alive was gone, he could remember his name, but not his middle/last name, where he lived, he was lost. Sebastian ran out of the hospital crying, screaming for help, but no one heard him, adding to his frustration and panic. Running in a random direction, Sebastian made his way to a small neighborhood, banging on the first door he saw. Inside that house was Abha Lindström, a Swedish fashion designer and clothing maker, she was alone watching a horror movie, it was three months before she met her husband, Häägen Daß. She heard the knocking, the screaming and crying, walking to the door and opening it, hoping to get to the source of the racket. There stood a tall skinny man, black hair, black leather jacket, Metallica shirt, ripped jeans, work boots. It had began to rain outside, heavily, yet he wasn’t wet at all. Abha asked the man his name, a somber, distorted, “Sebastian, please. Help. Me” leaving his mouth. Abha went to touch him, as she was suspicious if Sebastian was real or not, but her hand went through him, Sebastian shivering in response. Sebastian was allowed to stay with Abha the night, the next day telling her what he remembered of what happened, explaining to her he was dead and could not find his way back home, or even to where he died. Feeling bad, Abha let Sebastian move in with her, the two became best friends and roommates. Three months later, Abha met Häägen Daß, a notorious german Doctor, while working at her clothing store job. Häägen was in Sweden to get a new doctoral coat, being told by his coworker PaulChard Greider that the best coats were being made in Sweden. Häägen and Abha hit it off, and became lovers after three days of getting to know each other, Häägen moved in with Abha soon after they became official. Häägen and Abha now have three children, two twin girls and one boy, and are now married. Sebastian and Häägen do not get along and fight constantly.
JEDDAH: Saudi adventurer Nayef Shukri completed an 800 km journey, taking around 4.6 million steps, from the south of Jeddah to the mountains of Abha on Tuesday. Under the slogan “The Southern Steps,” it was his seventh successful trip on foot across Saudi Arabia. The walk aimed to support Saudi tourism, highlighting the antiquities, heritage, and culture of the western and southern regions, as part of Vision 2030. It began on May 11, 2022 from Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports Complex south of Jeddah, and ended on June 15, with a big reception at the famous Abha Airport Park. Speaking to Arab News upon his arrival, the Saudi adventurer said his journey took the path of the Hijaz Road. He pointed out that he had so far walked over 3,000 km across his previous six trips, and said that his goals focused on inspiring interest in the Kingdom, promoting fitness, and promoting his country’s rich heritage. He said: “This has been the longest adventure so far, bigger than I could ever have imagined. I’ve achieved part of my dream, to walk in the footsteps of history and discover modern Saudi Arabia. “There were times when I wondered what I had let myself in for, but I have discovered so much about this incredible land. The people that live along my path on every trip I took were a true inspiration, and I feel very privileged to have been able to undertake it. “I would love to discover the beauty of other parts of the Kingdom in my next adventures,” he added. In a step that has pushed him to the very edge of his mental and physical limits, the 33-year-old Shukri had to spend much time living off his skills. He battled extreme temperatures in many places on the road, slept wherever he could, and often had to catch his own food. Using his phone, Shukri uploaded videos and blogged about his trip to his followers every day. The adventurer started his first trip from Makkah to Madinah, following in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad, and then took his second from Jeddah to NEOM on foot in 28 days. His third trip from Makkah to Jeddah came in conjunction with the 91st National Day; then he traveled from Jeddah to AlUla on foot for 22 days to attend its cultural and artistic season. Shukri says he is planning another adventure for 2022, but not before a well earned rest.
