so it’s 4am and i am awake cause i finally got covid and my throat hurts so much that i gave up on trying to fall asleep (also it hurts less when i am not lying down).

I know i have like 4 followers out of which 3 don’t really interact with me but if you see this it would be really cool if you reblogged this with a random thought of yours or a picture of your cat. Thank u

note: apart from sore throat and muscle pain i appear to be ok, i am fully boosted and i hope this will be over soon. I am really thankful that i can spend my sick days being cared of in a loving home

Confirmation of Handedness with Pockets

        If you listen closely, you can usually hear car keys or coins in people's pockets when they walk. From a distance, this is useful in determining handedness, because if you pay attention, you can tell which side the coins/keys are on depending on what foot is hitting the ground and when you hear the jingle.

Now, if you can determine what side the coins/keys are on, your work is virtually done. If they're on the right, they're right handed, and visa-versa. However, if you're dealing with coat pockets, it's a little trickier. If the pocket is on the outside, the rules are the same. If the pocket is on the interior of the coat, or at least under the coat, then the rules are flipped. Right handed people put things on the inner left, and the opposite is true for left handed people.

If you where unfortunate enough to stumble across someone who does't have anything in their pockets, then there is still hope. When anybody puts their pans on, those insufferable flaps of fabric don't like to go where they're supposed to. So if your subject of interest happens to have one side flat, while on the other side the fabric is till peeking up a bit, it's a safe bet that they had something in that pocket, and they took it out. So whichever side is flat can be said to be their dominant side.

Determining Handedness

        Determining handedness is fairly easy, if you know what to look for.

Incoherent stains of pigment on the dominant hand (not writing).

Writing is on non-dominant hand. Usually notes or reminders.

Thumbnails typically shorter on dominant hand, particularly in certain professions.

Observe at what angle they set their notebooks and writing paper down at. Top pointing towards the left is right-handed, while top pointing towards the right is left-handed.

if there are two open outlets side by side, then whichever outlet they plug into is the side of their dominant hand.

On what side of the plate or bowl did they leave their fork/spoon? That's also their dominant side.

Position of soap and cosmetics above a sink indicate handedness.

Position of a home phone dock on a desk.

Watch is usually on non-dominant hand.

Stains or smudges on the sleeve of the dominant hand.

And the list goes on.
