If there is one thing I truly believe is the “bias” written in the Silmarillion, it is the part where Galadriel is asked for her hair by Feanor to craft the Silmarils. I just don’t buy that happening. Feanor himself is very secretive and reclusive, and does not like people outside of his immediate family knowing what he is doing when it comes to his crafts. On top of that, he had no love for the line of Finarfin, like at all. There would be no way in which he and Galadriel would actually be talking or on speaking terms because Feanor didn’t really outwardly interact with them like that. Last but not least, if Galadriel had given him strands of her hair, then she’d have some ownership to the Silmarils, but we know that’s not something he wouldn’t wanted. He would have never shared any part of his craft, fae, or work with a descendant from his least favorite brother. I think that obviously Pengolodh loves Galadriel and who would blame him, everyone loved her. And he has a bias against the Feanorians for obvious reasons. But given what we know of Feanor’s character and the way he acts, and is reclusive it made no sense. I feel that there were bits and pieces in the silm that attempted to pit Galadriel as some rival to Feanor and back then she was viewed as ‘more aggorant’ but as time went on she was seen as the ‘better’ of the two. And I think that while many and even Galadriel herself saw this grand rivalry between she and Feanor it didn’t exist on his end. And I don’t think that he ever would have approached her, under any circumstances for his hair. I get a lot like to paint him out as some greedy manchild who threw a tantrum when she said no (the fandom loves that ‘unfriends forever’ line). But I don’t think it happened. It doesn’t fit his character, but it does fit galadriels. Yet, I just don’t think it happened.

I think it would be the switchblade knife they keep. It's not too interesting, but it is significant cuz they picked it up from the bottom of a lake. And it also has some carvings of wave patterns along the handle!

↬ 🌿🌙 Sylea (she/they), 26 years old. A half-dryad fire/stone/wind/life mage. Careful and precise, they sealed away their life magic with a sealing tattoo to better regulate it. She absolutely hates when things don't go according to plan, which unfortunately for her happens quite often ever since they travel with some odd collection of people. Although her appearance and demeanor makes her look calm and collected, she has quite the nasty temper. They're the most responsible of the group, adhering to laws and her own personal code with upstanding bravado.

↬🎋🦋 Mersriterra (she/her), 21 years old. She's usually called Mer or Sri for short. A young woman who can trace her lineage to the Ancients. She is a life mage, and though she has never gotten real proper training by going to the academy, she has been practicing under a wise mentor. She's always very curious, and has a calming aura. Her friendly demeanor makes it easy for her to get along with everyone. Deep within her joyous exterior are disturbing visions that she hopes to get rid of. Her guilt over them drives her to be a better person, but it still terrifies her that she may one day act on these intrusive thoughts.

↬ 💎💼 Mycel Daiyn (he/she), 19 years old. A cat ferin born to a wealthy and respected Siren business man/inventor/information broker (who may or may not be a conman) and a cat ferin woman who was formerly part of a network of thieves and has since retired, now a renowned painter. His life of fortune probably sets him apart from most ferin, but it doesn't stop her from having a robin hood-esque personality and mischievous energy. His comfortable life and upbringing further motivates him to fight for equality and ferin rights. She is also Mersriterra's childhood friend (and they're still besties!)

↬ 🦇🌁 Aeden (they/them), 18 years old. A closed-off bat cloudchild with a mysterious background. They don't talk much, though it's unclear if it's just because they don't want to, can't, or if there are other reasons for this. Their friends dont seem to mind, as they help them get out of troublesome situations and is a good companion/ally. They may or may not be on the run from a dangerous person. If you ask them, they wouldn't answer anyway.

↬⚡️🌀 Ripter "Ritz" Fylmirus (he/him), 16-17 years old. A prodigious and incredibly talented lightning mage from a noble family. Unfortunately for them and their honorable reputation, the last thing he wants is to be the picture perfect son. Ripter is a beacon of petty teenage rebellion. Defiant and stubborn in his impulsive ways and disregard for the rules or safety of others, he ran away from home after he got expelled from the Aseran Mage Academy to pursue one goal: find someone who can rival his speed. There's more than meets the eye when it comes to this juvenile and irresponsible boy.

Extra people who also exist, but arent part of the five man band.

↬🗡️🌊 Guntero Fylmirus (he/they), 23 years old. Ripter's (adoptive) older sibling. The golden/normal child of the family, contrasting Ripter's black sheep status. Guntero isn't actually a very flashy person. The stone/water mage is a hardworking and stoic perfectionist, but is otherwise pretty average. He's good friends with Erin in the Academy, even if he's unsure that Erin considers them that in the first place. Specializes in controlling/forging weapons and parting waves/transporting large amounts of water.

↬🔥👑 Rei "Sash" (Insert Surname When We Learn Erin's Mom's Maiden Name) (it/any). A stone/fire/lightning/wind mage and also Erin's cousin. Somewhat of a silly person.

↬ 🩸🫧 Adafer Cinderis (she/they/it), ??? years old. An axolotl ferin who roams the surface, which is rare and unusual for their kind. Unethical experiments which was performed on her since she was a child has hardened her heart, or at least that's what they like to think. Adafer has a soft spot for those who are young and unfortunate enough to be mistreated. In fact, Coda is someone she's taken under her wing (figuratively). Its cunning and eccentric nature makes it a force to be reckoned with, despite its vulnerability while outside of water. They're also a skilled, agile fighter. Besides their average ferin resistance, Adafer's axolotl ferin regeneration also makes her a lot harder to kill die.

↬ ⛲🪨 Coda Cinderis (he/pers), 17-18 years old. A tin metal-caste stone & water mage. Incredibly attached to Adafer, pers caretaker. He was once captured by slavers who didn't know he was already sparked, but was inadvertently saved by Adafer who attacked them and helped the other kidnapped metal-caste children. Coda chose to follow Adafer afterwards, devoting perself to protecting her. Per isn't a pushover who goes along with everything Adafer says though, often he's actually there to be the more level-headed of the two. Currently unsure of what he wants in life but he's always searching for good books to read and people to help.

↬ ⚰️📖 Freyan (he/him), 42 years old. An Ignan truename researcher, funeral director, and part-time necromancer. A standoffish fire and wind mage, although he's not as grumpy as he looks. Probably. He's mostly just tired.

↬ 🦎💠 Fyxis (he/him/they), 19 years old. A chameleon ferin and a paladin-in-training. Has a mischievous and playful streak which makes him come off as a bit of a fool. An old "friend" of Mycel's. He's trying his best to help people.

↬ 🐦‍⬛🏹 Corax Dione (they/she/he), 20 years old. A wind mage and a “Hunter” with an unsettling smile. Behind their lack of strong emotion or empathy is a curious soul who seeks to experience life like other people do. A bit sick and twisted but not that bad of a person, probably.

↬🪙👁️ Pierre Gryne (he/him), 34 years old. A stone mage and bounty hunter / hitman who utilizes coins as projectiles. He's an experienced sharpshooter capable of precise control over the coins he wields. A conscientious, no-nonsense man who's extremely loyal to whoever can pay him generously.

↬ ⚖️🗝️ Thydus (he/him), old. A conceptual god of weight and pressure. Whether it's the weight of burdens, secrets, loneliness, or just physical weight, Thydus manifests whenever heaviness is concerned. His epithet is "the Scale Holder" or simply "the Holder". Has an amicable relationship Graiann, god of justice.

Athens Digital Arts Festival 2023 “Welcome to the Uncanny” took place from the 12-14 May in across three theatres in Athens and online.

We are proud to announce that not only did we have one of our 2022 graduate animations selected for the ADAF Kids screening, but the festival also held a special Arts university Bournemouth screening with a selection of our 2022 graduate animations.

Guardian was selected for the ‘ADAF Kids – Kids Animation’ category and was screened in the Astor Cinema on the 13th and 14th of May.

On the 14th of May, also in the Astor Cinema, Cortex, Dadaland, Key, LINGU, Plates on Oma’s Wall were screened in the special ‘Animation Production – The Arts university Bournemouth, BA Graduation Animations 2022’ Screening.
