Michelangelos first know painting. Apparently he painted this when he was twelve or thirteen (its the one at the bottom, right corner)

Elsheimer

Adam Elsheimer wurde im März 1578 in Frankfurt getauft und starb 1610 in Rom. Das Bild von Apollo und Coronis ist Elsheimers 'Bestseller', in vielen Versionen, Fassungen und Kopien ist es überliefert. Elsheimer stützt sich auf Ovid, der erzählt, dass Coronis dem Apoll untreu geworden wäre, worauf der sie mit einem Pfeil tödlich verwundet haben soll. Wenn diese, statistisch betrachtet nicht unwahrscheinliche, aber gelinde gesagt Überreaktion appolinisch ist, will ich lieber erstmal das Dionysische kennenlernen.

Das Bild liefert ein Formular für Kontrafakturen, ihre Umkehrungen und Umwidmungen.
