i'm currently listening to a playlist of Get scared (My favorite band) and i wonder why they aren't more popular, i mean they do have popular songs like Sarcasm and Don't you dare forget the sun but that's basically it which surprises me because Get Scared (especially Nick's voice) just screams Anti-hero/Villain vibes like the song Told you So, Whore, Enough is Enough, Bad things and a lot of other songs just have this vibe and i wish more people listened to their other songs not just Sarcasm.

could someone please give me pictures of the final line-up members 🙏🙏 whenever I try to search them up I keep getting like fourteen other people TT also, was get scared on a hiatus from 2013-2019, and then broke up, or was the "break up" the hiatus and they just didn't end up following through with their plans ?

I was asked about Get Scared's history and yk I love to yap. So here is some condensed(ish) lore I wrote out :))

The band was formed in 2008 by Nicholas Matthews (Vocalist), Johnny Braddock (Guitarist), Bradley Iverson (Guitarist/bassist/backing vocalist) and Warren Wilcock (Drummer). They released their EP- Cheap Tricks and Theatrics. Warren Wilcock left in 2009 and was replaced by Dan Juarez.

In 2011 they released their debut- Best Kind Of Mess.

Then in November of 2011, Nicholas Matthews left the band (this was to pursue more things musically, including Blacklisted Me).

Joel Faviere replaced Nicholas, and Adam Virostko also joined the band as a Guitarist. Faviere only released one album with the band (Built For Blame, Laced With Shame) until Nicholas returned in November 2012.

In 2013 the band signed to Fearless Records and released Everyone's Out To Get Me. Their next album- Demons- was released in 2015.

In 2017, the band then entered the studio with producer Kris Crummett to make The Dead Days album. In 2019 the band announced they were on a hiatus (as Nicholas was recovering from a heroin addiction), but Nicholas eventually left the band. The Dead Days was released in April 2019. Then it was later announced that the band broke up. This was again confirmed in 2022 after a potential reunion.

On January 1st of this year (2025) Adam confirmed that the band is back together and making new music. They will perform in October at the Aftershock Festival.
