ADDITIONAL OBJECT AND ASTEROID TUT

additional objects: additional objects in your chart include points such as lilith/vertex and fixed stars, comets, the galactic center, etc. they can tell you about more specific topics than your planets can

example - the vertex in your chart is a point that can tell you about your fate, but there isn’t a planet that can tell you directly about fated events

asteroids: these are not as important as planets, but can be very telling if you want to find out more specific things outside of what the planets tell you or learn more about specific topics planets don’t tell you

example - asteroid caspar represents things you should treasure deeply and not take advantage of in life otherwise you’ll be filled with regret. there’s not a planet that can directly show this

my opinion: asteroids are still important because they’re part of our universe and everything is connected to us spiritually including the asteroids. i would say planets and houses are most important though

follow these steps ↓

one: once you’ve made an account on astro.com click on the saved data and then click extended chart selection to view the chart options

two: scroll down click on the additional objects section to view the additional objects box then type in the name of the object you want to view or asteroid number. you can view multiple additional objects at once if you want, but you must put a comma after each name/number

example - sirius, vertex, mirach, 3, 390

three: scroll back up and click “show the chart >>” and you can then view the asteroid in your chart

note: to find asteroid codes you can view my posts or others on tumblr about specific asteroids you’re interested in. there are over 20k of them on astro.com, but you can find some on astro-seek.com as well

One of the weirder parts of being formally tested for autism as an adult—apart from the hellscape of hours of math hell—was that they kept asking me for my conclusions or opinions about things I had very little knowledge of. These weren't basic facts you'd expect someone to pick up in the course of a standard US education, and I kept repeating that I would have to do actual research to form opinions on subjects I had no significant information about.

Obviously, "not opinionated" isn't a major problem for me when I do have a reasonable amount of information, but my eventual diagnosis specifically mentioned that I kept repeating that I would have to do more research to acquire the necessary baseline of data for forming opinions on [whatever], and that the phrasing of my various refusals tended to be identical or very similar (I didn't see any need to alter my wording when I was simply repeating the same position over and over).

Anyway this is also about Star Trek. (Surprise.) I knew Spock would be relatable before we started the grand TOS watch, but did not expect him to be the most relatable character on television ever, and his continual refusals to deliver opinions without enough data for informed theories was actually a big part of this.

Very Important Limbless Objects Hcs ^_^

Having all limbless objects have mech arms is kinda boring SOOO decided to make this chart :D

These are mostly thinking about their gijinkas btw >_>

- Clock mech arms are literally his clock hands 😭 I just think he wouldn’t use too frequently tbh

- Hosts have the right of a whole mech body if they wanted to

- TV doesn’t really care that he’s limbless, he’s a happy critter ^_^ ! he does love mechanical enhancements tho!

- Roboty is paralyzed, I gotta do research for the type, but he would need those devices that talk for him. Wouldn’t humanize him, he’s still pretty much a robot

- 8Ball needs a motorized wheelchair

- Stapy is paralyzed only half his waist down

- Bell doesn’t quite… have a wheelchair? Is more like a really pretty chair with a string endlessly reaching the sky

- All Limbless Objects are diff when it comes how much of limb they have (EX: I like to think BasketBall and Gaty have halfway of their elbows remaining)

- When I figure out tf ima do with Puffball I’ll touch the “other” tier

Object OCs inspired by Thai culture!

Explanation for each of them below!

From left to right, top to bottom, we'll start with Phuang Malai, also known as Malai! These are floral garland often given to people as a show of respect, gratitude, luck, importance, etc etc, but they can also be used as decorations

They can come in many different shapes and sizes, all for different purposes! Some are worn on the neck, some on the wrist, others are not worn at all. Traditionally, they're made with fresh flower, but nowadays, you can find ones made of plastic flowers or any other material

Next, Triangle Pillow, also known as Thai pillows, are very firm and. Y'know. Triangular pillows. They can come alone as just a pillow, or as a foldable pillow + mattress combo!

These can be used in many ways, as a head cushion, as a seat, or as a bed if it's long enough. It is said to help a lot with relieving back pain. I believe it originated from Northern Thailand? I mean the patterns and some of my research seems to say so

Next, the Chula Kite! Not much to say here aside from that fact that it's one of the many kite shapes we have here

Fun fact: Chula is also seen in the Thai alphabet! (All Thai consonants are associated with a specific word)

Pla Tapien, literally means "barb (the fish)" because it's based on one. These are traditionally made via woven palm leaves, but modern ones can be made using paper or some other material as well

Next, we have Fire Pots! Admittedly, these are more of a Chinese thing than a Thai thing, but we were HEAVILY influenced by Chinese culture (and Indian culture). These pots have a hole at the bottom for putting a candle in, which is used to keep the food heated for longer periods of time

And finally, Lotus Pot!

Originally, I wanted to use the traditional dragon jar (shown below), since it's the symbol of Ratchaburi (my dad's hometown), but the design got too busy, so I settled with a more generic pattern

Fun fact: This thing was the very reason I started this whole thing

Shep: Kid, you can do whatever you want in your free time so long as I don't hear from Norweni about any fighting or public indecency.
