tbh i think this scene truly epitomizes like. the whole of ragathas people pleasing in a really important way. it not only establishes to the audience that she has a tendency to act how she thinks people WANT her to act, but also that she doesnt do it convincingly. but it ALSO implies tht this was an argument she made when he confronted her about it, implying she DID concede that she was fake-laughing, but continued to double down that it wasnt because kaufmo was doing smth she didnt find funny. and THEN it helps to show WHY she does this- when shes in danger, even though logically she should know abstracted characters cannot be communicated with anymore, she still defaults to what honestly feels akin to fawning- appealing to anyone in any way she can to keep herself safe, even if it doesnt actually make sense in the moment

Although I have my issues with Viserys' deathbed misunderstanding, Alicent grasping at that justification to crown Aegon, and Aegon feeling like he finally had his father's approval really paid off emotionally in S2 Episode 2. We can see the exact moment Otto, who never believed Viserys changed his mind in the first place, shatters the illusion of Viserys' approval with, "your father was right about you," and his laugh when Aegon says his father made him king, "is that what you think?" For an instant, the hurt is written plain on Aegon's face, before he quickly redirects that hurt into anger at Otto and lashes out, only to break down alone in his rooms later on, twisting and pulling at Viserys' signet ring on his finger. Alicent appears, but denies him any comfort, and now he must be wondering, did she lie to him about his father changing his mind? He always suspected it, but allowed himself to believe it because his mother wouldn't toy with him, would she? Now he wonders if she and Otto were laughing at him all along, thinking they'd wrapped him around their little finger, and when Alicent walks away from his grief, when she does not come in and explain Otto's words away and make it better, she doesn't know it yet, but she's lost him. He's not going to listen to her anymore. Before, she could talk him around with loving words (recall she says episode 1 that Aegon still heeds her in private, and it's her "my darling" that convinces him to stop fighting the state funeral) but now her love will seem false. He's lost his beloved son and his chance to right the wrongs of his childhood, he's lost the parental approval he believed he had, and his mother has lost his trust. Devastating.

Adding to my previous question (the one about Cassandra and the idea of her male love interests). What gave you the impression, feeling, and thought that eventually led you to conclude that Cassandra is possibly a lesbian with comphet? I've seen that there really are peoples that believes or rather headcannons her as a lesbian with comphet, but I just don't know what gave them the impression based on reading the comics.

It mostly boils down to the fact that all of her male relationships have felt shallow. But also the story beat of Cass getting into a friend breakup with Steph and immediately turning to romance, deciding to go on that one date with Kon despite her being initially incredibly uncomfortable with him, and then deciding she wants to be friends and she was actually just lonely reads to me as turning to her relationships to fill the steph-shaped hole in her heart. Moreover it’s because her relationship with Steph is one of her more complicated/deeper relationships and we’ve seen her 3x now cling to her hallucination in times of duress. Basically her female relationships have always felt deeper to me than her male ones (outside of her family).

Also, it’s because i’m a lesbian and i’m mildly projecting on her lol. again you can think what u want it’s all silly headcanons

uncle iroh is predictably one of the characters I've enjoyed the most on my ATLA rewatch but I hope we never find out what happened to his son's mom. unpopular opinion maybe but that man's got some unchecked misogyny problems and with his family's track record vis a vis women, I can only imagine he fed his own wife to the royal piranhas or whatever bc she said his favorite tea tasted like ass

We have been talking about how good The Incredibles is for the last two decades and it’s completely warranted tbh so here’s a few things I really like about Syndrome’s design:

The obvious: he’s wearing a cape. It is a callback to classic hero designs and is directly called out in the film foreshadowing his eventual death. Also looking closely the inside of his cape is blue, but a darker shade than his Incrediboy costume. Perhaps once again drawing back to the one event on his life he can’t let go, and how his idea of glory days Mr. Incredible is tainted and drags him backwards eventually because he is unable to let it go.

He also still has jet boots like in the prologue. He’s still using a form of the same technology he tried to impress Mr. Incredible with.

The color scheme: black and white. He is not a complex thinker for all his technological intelligence. He thinks in black and white. He’s stuck in an immature mode of thought, obsessed with his childhood hero, despite the fact that his actions basically led to the end of his (and by extension other heroes) careers following the Bomb Voyage L-train accident lawsuits.

Giant ‘S’ on his chest like Superman, but takes up the entire torso instead of being just over the chest. Definitely gives the vibe of overcompensating.

Hair like a mad scientist. And the color! It sort of implies to me that he dyed his hair as a kid to closer resemble Mr. Incredible possibly just as a tribute and possibly as a way to subliminally make Mr. Incredible see some of himself in Incrediboy and take him on as a sidekick. (Side note: I don’t think we ever actually see any sidekicks, at least kid sidekicks in the entirety of the film, except perhaps the Parr kids, who may or may not count. Also I don’t recall Buddy ever saying sidekick, and refers to himself as “your ward” when making his Incrediboy introduction to in the prologue. Make of that what you will, but the viewing of Bob by Buddy as his father figure has some interesting subtext given some theories about Buddy’s parents both being supers themselves.)

yo, I'm Feinberg

Armorer Artificer 10 / Champion Fighter 5 (Superior Technique Fighting Style)

Second character sheet for my MCSRD&D stuff! I ended up going with mainly artificer for Fein cause they're extremely versatile and are always able to take in their surroundings, think quickly, and use seemingly mundane objects to succeed in whatever they're doing. I also took a dip into fighter cause I knew I didn't want him to have minimal martial ability.

I fully didn't plan on him having proficiency in animal handling but it's surprisingly fitting considering all the animal related achievements in AA. Also again I won't be including every class feature but if people are curious I can absolutely elaborate on stuff.

I legit just renamed the javelin of lightning into a trident cause it seemed so perfect

and then this feature is a large part of why I chose the armorer subclass

I really tried to go for spells that have equivalent effects in minecraft (most share similar names but longstrider=speed and pyrotechnics/fly=elytra). I also wanted all these characters to be potentially usable in a campaign so I didn't go for purely gimmick spells.

I gave him a bag of holding to act kinda like a shulker box and then I hope everything in the box is fairly obviously related. (fun fact pearls only stack in units of 10 on d&dbeyond so thats why theres a stack of 10 and a stack of 6 rather than just 16). It's not shown here but he also has a bucket of water and a rowboat (fruit had a bucket of lava too)

After telling the prick from engineering what she would do to his prick if he made another pass at her, he hasn’t made another trip down the stairs. The yeoman who had brought down the cot had tried to give her a nice, warm, friendly welcome.

She doubts that yeoman will be coming back anytime soon.

A smile can be as deadly as a gun if you believe in it. But Jack hasn’t believed in a smile for a long time, and she always carries a gun.

The gravity well dips sharply, prickling her skin with gooseflesh. It’s not the engines. She looks down in the direction of the cargo bay, curiosity getting the better of her.

Cerberus ship, captained by a biotic wearing a Cerberus uniform who insists he isn’t Cerberus, and seems to be a shitty biotic. The way he fumbles with the gravity well like he’s trying to find a clit suggests either he’s telling the truth, or Cerberus isn’t training their biotics the way they used to.

Like the way they trained her.

At first, she’d assumed this was a ship she’d use and lose at the next port. But maybe, just maybe, she’d stumbled onto a bigger prize.

Perhaps it’s time to really size up her enemy.   

She pushes up off the cot and winds up the stairs towards the elevator. Her stomach growls, the first signs of the appetite suppression from cryo finally wearing off, but now that’s she’s got the thought of Shepard in her teeth, she’s going hunting for a different kind of meal.

Yea Freddy dies (REAL)

Within the story it just kinda happens. One day Freddy simply decides everything is too much for him and leaves.

After that Shadow is left alone w the body, it's all fine and all at first, but the more he is connected to the body, he starts discovering the things that pushed Freddy to die.

From realizing just how intense the "ghosts visions" actually are, to finally starting to connect with Freddy's memories and finding out what was that accident that got Freddy in so much trouble. Owynn is here too, and he plays an important role in this as a surprise to no one.

(spoiler alert, the accident was a physical fight between Freddy and Owynn, Freddy started it and it ended up with a blind eye for Owynn, head trauma for Freddy, expulsion and social isolation for both of them, and Toddy. Huge mess)
