Today on the auspicious day of shivratri, there was a jagrata in our local temple and I didn't have much excitement to go there. But my parents were going so I went there with them. There was a separate section for ladies and gents. For the first half hour I was mesmerized in the bhajans and kirtan but then my vision goes to the ladies side where I don't know if it is true but I believe I saw Adishakti(joint of Shiva and maa Parvati) wearing green kurta and red bangles that newlywed bride wears. After some time I saw kids playing and in them shree Ganesh ji and Kartikeya ji. I know I may be mad but it was just a miraculous moment for me. Is

Who is Goddess Bagalamukhi?
Tumblr media
One of the ten Mahavidyas of the wisdom goddesses, Bagalamukhi represents the deep feminine primal power in Hinduism. She is Dasamahavidyas' eighth goddess. The universe is created, governed, and destroyed by the goddess Baglamukhi. Her name is Aadi Shakti. She is the life force that underlies the existence of the entire universe. Nobody can live without vitality. She possesses unmatched power. The seventh Mahavidya is her. With her club, Bagalamukhi Devi destroys the enthusiast's confusions and delusions. The word Bagala is derived from Valga, which then evolved into Vagla and then Bagla. There are 108 unique names for the goddess.
Her primary feature is recognised as being more than just her crane face. In some parts of northern India, she is known as Peetambari Devi or Brahmastra Roopini. This is due to the fact that she has a golden aura and wears yellow-colored clothing. Yellow lotuses are also used to make her throne. On her head, she has a crescent-shaped moon. She appears to have two arms in some pictures and four arms in others. Her devotees in West Bengal regard her as a demi-goddess who slays demons. She appears fierce and is holding a club in her right hand. She is tearing the demon's tongue out with her left hand. It is obvious from this picture that the Goddess possesses the strength to defeat and utterly paralyse her foes. She has the power to silence anyone using their voice to do wrong. She has the ability to turn defeat into victory. She also has the capacity to articulate the metaphysical significance of life after death. For those who follow her, she can make losing seem like winning.  The goddess Bagalamukhi serves as the perfect example of ying and yang duality. One can easily achieve balance and peace if she stays true to her values. In a more profound metaphysical sense, she represents the culmination of the unborn into the uncreated.

Who is Goddess Chinnamasta?
Tumblr media
Chinnamasta is the Hindu Goddess of transformation. She is the sixth of the Dasa Mahavidya, the wisdom Goddesses, and is also known as Chhinnamastika or Prachanda Chandika.
She is depicted holding her own head, which she has just cut off. She is known as the self-decapitated Goddess and also as Prachanda Chandika. She is a form of Shakti with ferocious power. Chinnamasta actually means, “Severed head”, and in Hindu dharma, she is often correlated with fearsome nature.
Buddhists believe she is closely related to Chinnamunda, the severe-headed form of Vajrayogini, the Tibetan Buddhist goddess.
Her birth anniversary is celebrated as Chhinamastika Jayanti. This falls on the Chaturdashi during the Shukla Paksh in the month of Viashkha. The self-decapitating Goddess is one of the important and worshipped Shaktipat Goddesses. Chinnamasta symbolises both life-giver and life-taker. Chinnamasta is considered both as a symbol of self-control on sexual desire as well as an embodiment of sexual energy, depending upon interpretation.
