Bruh it really irritates me when people bring up their weird "ooo you have a female boss? She's nasty right" assumption and I have to refrain from rolling my eyes back into my skull while I go, "uh no, she's super nice and understanding and efficient" bec she literally is

My personal experience in all 6 of my previous jobs almost always mirrors my experience at my current job: SEVERAL personable and efficient female colleagues/bosses, 1 or 2 polite and efficient male colleagues/bosses, several inefficient/unprofessional male colleagues/bosses, 1 or 2 unprofessional female colleagues (so far, no unprofessional nor inefficient female bosses). Every. Single. Time.

I don't get to give them the full range of my experiences though, just the condensed version, and it annoys me to think they'll just carry on having this weird bias in their heads about female professionalism. Idiots

isa there are very few fics where llulah is noted as hard or hearing/deaf or having hearing aids and that makes me kinda a lil but pissed ngl?

like sometimes I'm reading a death family-centric fic and her asthma or autism is mentioned, but not the fact that she has hearing aids.

I get it if shes a side character in a fic and there's no reason to mention it bec its not a piece of info that has relevance and would mess up the flow of the convo when mentioned randomly, but when she is a prominent character or her other disabilities are specifically mentioned and impact her it pisses me off that her being deaf/hard of hearing is ignored. like llulahs admin has mentioned it multiple times that llulahs hearing aids are integral and she would like people to include them in her character desgin but I feel like not a lot of people in the fandom listen

I mean it's nothing new that the fandom doesn't listen. But yeah that does suck.

I'm not much of a fic reader. And wasn't a fic writer until well. *gestures vaguely*

But that means there's an opportunity for people who Want to see that kinda stuff to make it. Spite the people who haven't. I'm sure if you (or anyone reading this) were to write a fic, even a short one or a oneshot, that included All her disabilities, you'd get infinite appreciation for it.

Obviously that shouldn't be Why you create something, but it's still okay to want that or indulge those kinds of motivations. We turn making art into way too much of a moral thing sometimes. We don't have to be eternally humble or whatever.

So fuck it. Make the fic content you wanna see. Do it better than the people who are sleeping on it. And bask in the appreciation that the people like you who have been wanting more of it will give. There's a reason there's a running joke among fic writers about how they'll start writing smth because it was a "fine, I'll do it myself" moment.

fulfilling the canon role mock orange after lots of questions with our dear admin! i bring to you darker themes with rivers! explicit details weren't described in his app or background but you guys probably get the gist of dark, gorey and grimey. see below the cut and give this a liddol like, i will swim swam into dms and! this is a secondary blog so any asks/likes from rivers' account will come through yeonsu's!

trigger warnings: child abandonment

TLDR

born to a couple that came from a community of the past monarch's supporters and people in the small unknown town of hwabok. they basically became a cult with the mentality they had hoping that the late monarch's line would one day return to rule.

the couple found comfort in each other because neither of them wanted to continue living in that environment. after they got married, it wasn't long before they became pregnant with their first child. however, the thought of raising their child in such a place started pushing them over the edge until it became obvious to everyone that their views did not align with the community!

basically, they were named as traitors and given the ultimatum of paying for their betrayal with their lives, or paying for their freedom with their firstborn. (think rumplestiltskin!)

the fear of dying was heavy and even more because the threat was very real to them and their unborn child. so they made the unspeakable decision of leaving their child behind to spare all their lives.

abandoned, the child was given the name 'yeong' as curse in meaning he had nothing and no one wanted him. however, the village elder who came to be responsible for him changed his name to yeonghan so that he would have a more respectable name he would be able to carry with pride one day.

yeonghan was the mark of shame for the community and it was made clear to him from a young age. he had no control of his life and lived to complete the dirty work and biddings for the community.

the name rivers came to after someone overheard his conversation with the elder taking care of him- telling him to take the path of least resistance like a river. the idea of yeonghan living only to bend to everyone's wills was quickly spread amongst the people and everyone soon called him rivers as another reminder of his cursed life.

however, the comparison given to him was that the path of least resistance would always lead him to finding a way and so yeonghan wore the name rivers with silent pride.

growing up, yeonghan was able to secretly develop his artistic skill thanks to the elder who took care of him. it was with their hidden support that he was able to create art and sell them in secret whenever any traveling merchants passed through town. this was how he earned enough money to finally escape the town following the death of the elder.

he's been in beonhwa for about four years now and has tried to live a quiet life. however, not long after his arrival to beonhwa, he was found by one of the townspeople who exposed his true identity as hwabok's dirty dog for those in support of the past monarch.

this made things difficult for rivers to truly start new, however, he was able to make do by continuing to sell art and using his skills to gain favor with certain nobility.

however, when rivers is in a pinch and needs quick cash, he has no issue turning to his past and taking on any dirty work from those looking to have things done in secrecy within beonhwa.

PERSONALITY

rivers' identity and origins aren't hidden. not after the way it was publically exposed following his arrival to beonhwa, and he's never done anything to shed or erase the past from his image. the community has mixed reactions about his presence in beonhwa and sometimes he's still referred to as hwabok's dirty dog. someone spits this to his face one day— maybe your muse defends him or maybe your muse agrees with them.

your muse is a collector of art and one day sees one of rivers most known pieces floating around. they want to commission something from him.

a fire has started in one of the fields in the outskirts and rivers happens to be nearby. after some investigation, a cigarette butt is found and seeing a chance- people immediately accuse rivers as the culprit. the cigarette butt they find in question however has traces of tobacco versus the rolled flower petals present in rivers pockets.

i just realized that i need to get my shit and start making plans all over again. I used to plan my whole week financially so i never face such situations. Now and after moving out to a new place it feels like its really hard to do so. i have been in so much debt that i had to spend the bare minimum. it was hard to do a plan cause i just wanted to spend the less amount possible per day. now i dont have any obligations expect for one that is not that big i need to get my shit together. i already graduated college and i have no other plan but to whine. i need to start financially planning my life. i dont know what i want to do but i do know what i dont want to do. i dont want to travel abroad to work, i dont want to through away all the progress i made in my current job just for another one that will make me start over without any reputation and it will be fuckin hard. i dont want to be a money making machine. i just want to learn something new. when they used to ask me about what i want to do after i graduate i just say ill learn dancing or playing violin so id be skilled like everyone else. i never admit that i love admin work. it doesnt matter if im skilled i dont think that my personality matches the skilled ones and i believe that is why i dont have any skilled people in my life. i never vibe with artists (moviemakers, painters, etc..) i like people who have a daily job with a fixed salary and routine. i dont mind people who were caught into the life cycle. i know how it feels to be in a very stable life bec of the comfort zone. im already there and i know how it makes u feel home that u wont even think about changing anything in your life. i know how it feels to see everyone have a dream and you dont. u just want to keep it lowkey and keep everything as it is now. 

just to say its very hard for me to watch my friends (comfort zone) have their own dreams while i dont. most of them wants to get money asap and the other wants to experience life. i just want nothing but good life without any problems in work that endanger my stable outcome. i hope they will get that one day and stop asking me about what i want to do. it is important to me that they understand that i have absolutely nothing towards life. i only have 2 feelings one of them is fear of money problems and the other one is nothing. 

after checking the current prices i figured out that its not an option to just keep my job and wait for a promotion like any governmental employee. its just not an option anymore. so i started checking linkedin to see if i can know more about part time jobs. that will help me solve 2 problems one of them is getting rid of the comfort zone to flourish and the other one is to solve the money issue + experience different careers to know what exactly i want to do in life. 

i just want to be able to afford my own lifestyle which is not expensive by all means. hopefully ill be able to do so next month and i hope life will understand.
