I'm looking through some photos for Nyon, and my god, black people truly have the best hairstyles out there. The fact that not many CC Creators make 'em and just flood the hair cc tag with the same Long Vaguely Wavy Side Swept Bang Over Shoulder Hair is nuts to me.

Making the moodboard was a mistake; I should be playing viddy games, instead I'm thinking of making Nyon's moodboard to join the existing lineup.

Another Vaguely Historical-Flavored CC Assortment

I bring you tidings of more stuff I wanted for my game. We've got a bit of everything: clothes, hairs, one (1) accessory. Meshes included for everything, everything should be tooltipped and binned and so on.

A Simple Dress: Cynnix's wide sleeve edit of Amaryll's summery dress, with flats, in 10 Shadowfell dye colors. The belt was yanked off that Rented-Space 3t2 celtic dress I love so much.

AF (also enabled for EF)/TF/CF. Categorized as everyday/formal/outerwear. Repository, CF/TF files require AF.

Wee Tunics: This Cynnix mesh with the little leather booties is my favorite for Veridia's bebes, but I only had one recolor, so I smushed Elliephant's excellent retexture of another Cynnix mesh onto it. All credit to Elliephant for their lovely retexture AND extremely useful PSD. <3 Comes in 8 Shadowfell colors.

Put A Brooch On It on @letomills's conversion of that IAmLiz dress to Lifa's trans bodyshape. Comes in those same five colors.

AM (also enabled for EM)/TM, categorized as everyday, formal, and outerwear. It's not repository because I couldn't be bothered.

OK, now for hairs. I have a specific set of Pooklet shades I use in my game:

Nightcrawler Rainbow hair converted by Vidcunds/Celestialspritz, retextured with simborg's Nouk/Pooklet texture blend and recolored in my preferred set of Pooklet colors. Yes, I did take the rainbow off. For F sims.

❗ This hair has a 23,000 poly count ❗, maybe don't put it on every single townie.

Jellymoo Dionne converted by PlatinumAspiration. Aren't those little braids adorable? I didn't fully retexture this one but did blend Nouk's afro texture over it. The bandana is Magpie's linen texture and is the same off-white shade on every hair color. For F sims.

I Got a Rock: two beaded necklaces on a Trapping mesh.

Trapping separated some necklaces from an Apartment Life outfit and I've been using one quite a lot because it reminds me of beaded necklaces I've seen while researching stuff for Veridia; here's two recolors of it. I wanted to make more, but I lost interest. Story of my life!

here’s the sister hair of my zola bantu knots! it’s an afro with bantu knots in the front and has 4 versions of side/front braids for flexibility and different styles. it’s named after this song of the same name by amaarae and i was inspired by this picture on pinterest. this was one of the hairstyles i was most proud of making last year! it’s the first hairstyle i made after i finally figured how to combine multiple textures into one hairstyle. im so excited to finally share it with y’all <3

Could you do a version of your swoop bang puff, with low puff. I don't see enough afro texture maxis match hair cc with low bun which I find more common.

i'm pretty sure what you're looking for already exists! (low puff with a swoop bang?) here are some with that general idea in my game:

anna afro puff v2, ciara hair, lazy sunday afro puff, electra hair v2

if you're thinking of a two low puffs with a swoop bang i haven't seen that yet so i might give that a whirl :)

Inspired by a recent post I made and someone asking if I use any skin tone mods for Viergenie, I thought I'd share the links to mods on Nexus that can help anybody that has a black/brown v or oc like me and are looking for something better than the default skin tones in game.

Kala's Body Skins is the mod I use for Viergenie, Diamond, Zira and Sheba. Only for fem v. I use the Adriana skin option in the downloads.

Best paired with this mod:

The Adriana skin mod is great but it does have the issue where the palms and bottom of the feet are the same as the rest of the body so this mod will fix that.

You will have to rename both mods in order for it to show up properly on your character. For an example, here's what I did to get it to show for me:

Universal Skin Tone also alters/adds skin tone options from fair to dark skin and has options for better face and skin details. Only for fem v.

While not as many options as Kala's body skins or the Universal Skin Tone mod, The Darker Skin Tones mod and the remix are still good options and they have the added benefit of being for both fem and masc v. They both edit the almond and dark skin tones in game. The 9th and the 12th skin tones in the cc respectively.

Don't be afraid to test out the different mods to see what will be the best for your v/ocs and have fun!

Regency Hairs - Part 2

This is a mix'n'match set of afro-textured Regency hairstyles. I made 3 fronts and 3 buns and I couldn't decide which should go with which so I made 9 different hairs rather than decide! I'll include a full picture of them all at the bottom.

Each front has a name and the buns are 1, 2 and 3 so Grace2 is the Grace front with the second bun. All the hairs are hat compatible and also compatible with @gilded-ghosts's Woodhouse Bonnet (found here).

This next part probably won't make sense unless you are familiar with cc making. The first bun is an experiment of sorts because I needed to use the hat uv space to fit it all in which ought to make it incompatible for hats but I changed the Sort Layer to underneath where most hats are so that the hat will take priority of the space and be displayed above the hair, thereby making it hat compatible still. I have noticed some shadowing using some EA hats so it isn't a perfect fix but an interesting one nonetheless.
