For the advent calendar angst edition, are we supposed to pick one prompt to put in a fic or all three?

Hi! for the aftg advent calendar angst edition (or for any of the other editions) you don't have to use all three of them. You can pick only one if you want, or can use two of them or all three if you wish. There are three options for each 'day' so that the participants have the freedom to choose which they would like to create a fanwork for.

If you don't like any of them, and don't like the dialogue prompt either, you can replace it with one of the song prompts instead from the alternate prompts list.

i dont know if this has been answered already but i just wanted to make sure, can we mix prompts from different calendars? i saw prompts i wanna do on the 7th in both foxes and trojan calendars and i was wondering if it’s ok to mix them since theyre on the same day?

Hi! I just want to make sure, if I write/draw for the foxes edition, am I only allowed to make the foxes the sole focus or are other characters outside of the foxes allowed for the prompts? (For example, I want to write/draw Kevin/Jeremy for one of the foxes prompts)

Hi!

It is fine as long as the content that you create is for the aftg fandom.

Those are pretty much only the themes of the cards and what they were based on while i was creating them.

You can write/draw something for the foxes, the ravens, the trojans or for any side character using whichever edition (foxes, trojans or angst) you would like.

So you can write/draw Kevin/Jeremy for using whichever edition you would like.

i have a few questions, because idk if i understood everything well (english is not my first language, so sorry if i make any mistakes)

you can choose more than one prompt, right? but are there any rules about mixing prompts? can you use two of the same edition (e.g. foxes edition) or both prompts have to be from different editions (e.g. foxes and angst editions).

and then, if you choose to write them, where does it have to be, here on tumblr or in ao3? i saw the collections of ao3 so i assume we post our fics and put them inside that collection?

and i think someone else asked it already, but i don't have to sign up anywhere and i'm free to use the prompts as i like and (hopefully) post them between today and the 24th of February?

that's all, thanks in advance and i really appreciate you doing this, it encourages me to write and makes it easier to come up with an idea as there already some hints. it's amazing that you take the time to make this happen <3

yep! you can choose more than one prompt. you can mix prompts too. the only rule for mixing prompts is that you can mix at most 6 prompts from the same edition. you can mix prompts across cards as you would like (but not more than 6 prompts per card once again).

you are free to share your work where ever you would like, however we can only reblog it if you share it on tumblr, and we will only know of it's existence if it's added to our AO3 collection, or if you use the tags for this event for your posts on tumblr.

yep! you don't have to sign up for this event anywhere. you can post your works between december 1st (today) and february 28th for us to be able to add them on to our list of created works that will be posted on tumblr and if you also want reblogs. but our AO3 collection will be open till december 1st of 2025.
