Agent 6...or Mags. Doesnt interfere much with whatever events happen in the universe hes staying at, these days. But where he can prod, he will poke. And in the case of sploonworld, its providing the NSS with items that can save their lives in a pinch.

3 has known 6 awhile, during their time in the illegal turf scene/trench turf. Instead of Sheldon, 6 was their (and many others) main supplier of specials and weapons. He really did try to avoid them, knowing who they were and how much they influenced the world around them...but he found himself caring too much for the welfare of the scarred squid. Reminds him of someone else he knew.

He ended up volunteering himself when 3 told him that they were going to investigate a remote, mysterious labyrinth that rose and sunk with the tides...

So! To prevent myself from infodumping too much keep this post somewhat short I can talk about the story goin' on. Know that I'm still working on it, so there's a chance things could change in the future.

Generally it follows the same as canon, but it starts with Azure (Agent 3/Captain 3), Callie and Marie all being werekrakens. All of them were born werekrakens too. Marie started turning around age 5-6, Azure around 9-10, and Callie doesn't start changing until the events of this AU (aka HELLA late).

Things don't really kick off until Azure's gf and roommate, Mist (Agent 8) accidentally finds out about Azure being a werekraken after she fails to make it to the Squid Sisters' place to spend that full moon. Fortunately Azure and Mist are close enough for Azure to still recognize Mist in their kraken state and not feel threatened by her, so things are all good. Mist is then taken to the Squid Sisters' place and educated on all things werekraken, and from there kinda becomes the krakens' caretaker/babysitter every full moon (especially after Callie starts changing, since Cal normally looked after everyone primarily).

Shit really hits the fan when Off the Hook figures out what Callie and Marie are. Marina was semi-forcefully made into a werekraken in the Octarian Army, being told that being turned would only enhance her strength and allow her to better serve the Army. Spoiler alert: it didn't entirely and caused Marina to be under intense stress every time she turned or made herself turn for medical checkups and whatnot to be done on her. In this AU krakens get stressed/scared easily and retaliate when threatened (hence the folktales about them being violent beasts), so you can imagine what happened. Because of her status as a werekraken Marina catches onto the Squid Sisters rescheduling performances and taking full moons off, and wants to reach out to them for help.

Long story short, what ends up happening is Off the Hook getting the Squid Sisters, Azure, and Mist at Pearl's place for a full moon and it goes much better than Marina anticipated (who doesn't understand how skiddish krakens are and only understands her affliction to be a violent "curse" of sorts) and the NSS agrees to educate Marina on herself, help her regulate her kraken, and let her safely and comfortably embrace it. Pearl is especially happy for Marina, who's seen how her kraken is and has always believed werekrakens aren't violent.

Time passes, full moons happen, eventually Callie finally starts transforming. It's a lot for her. Despite waiting for years for her to transform and knowing all she does about herself and werekrakens in general, her strengthened senses and instincts after transforming are extremely stressful for her. Essentially-Callie gets a smaller "plot" about accepting herself and managing her own kraken (which may or may not be even more stronger than a regular kraken as a result of her brainwashing years prior, jury's still out on that).

Time once again passes and another long story short, one particular full moon goes wrong and Shiver and Neo Agent 3 (named Sting) get turned by Marina and Callie, respectively. Now there's more people to keep watch on as they adjust to their new krakens and keeping the secret! Sting especially needs to be kept on close watch, since xey're way too excited about being turned and even let xemself get attacked so xey could be turned. The NSS is fairly certain Shiver can regulate her kraken with enough training, but they're not sure about Sting.

I imagine there's also some other "plot points" about finding a werekraken "cure" and how Callie, Marie, and Azure react to that? But not sure yet. Again, still working on things.

Overall tho, it's mostly just a werewolf AU about being keeping the secret and living life as creatures of sorts :3

ok . well . not to get emotional or anything but i am going to cry a little ….

i made this blog in october of this year . i was coming off of a terrible mental health episode. i started therapy again just around a week before i started this blog. i was intimidated- i had only watched the playoffs that year . i had never watched hockey before that. i knew no one. fast forward a few months, i learned i had bpd, and it shook me so hard . this community has been so kind to me. so willing to support me when i feel down and invited me with open arms when i desperately needed friends and a hobby . i have loved every second of every game . both winning and losing . krakenblr has quickly become my favorite place on the internet. kraken lb has made me so so happy. i got back into writing because of all the encouragement that was offered to me here. thank you all for everything :,) i am so looking forward to firebird playoffs and nhl playoff bracket stuff with you all. and weathering the storm of trades and free agents and the off season . thanks everyone so much <3

The most prominent and well-distributed of the photos was of the agent himself, a dark, broad figure towering over everyone else in the shot. As it turns out, there couldn't be a camera operator in the world who could make a demon standing 8 feet tall with arching horns to top it off less imposing. He squeezes through his own front door like a grizzly bear trying to use a dog door. The harsh sunlight gleams on his skin—is it skin, or is it actually the obsidian it looks like? A wife beater stretches across his deep chest, probably the largest manufactured size but still decidedly too small, a sliver of beer belly bulging above his waistband.

It was strange to imagine. How could a vessel, this mighty invention of man crafted for the sole purpose of travel not move? Indeed it seemed impossible. But what good were wide sails and tall masts without that most crucial agent of change? None at all. And so the proud construction became at once butchery and butcher, each part of her now being keenly inspected by shifty eyes, wondering what portion of her would be theirs. What of that body might sustain them while she, the craft, honed her knife eagerly eyeing the men in much the same way. Ship and crew were not symbiotic then, but parasitic, each anticipating the elixir of life from the other. Could doldrums be a landed affair too? I found myself scratching at the thought incessantly, no matter how occupied I kept my hands. Even now, with the most treasured needles Axtapor had sculpted for me, yes, even with these in my grasp, I could not will my fingers to be busy knots and loops. All they wanted was to break that question open and search for the truth within its bowels. Which of us was the vessel and which the crew? When would we find wind again? When would the food run out?  When would we have to make a choice that there was no coming back from? I trembled. That choice had a name, a face, a voice. I heard it day and night even when the choice was not before me asking if I wanted to make it. Asking if I wanted to know. To face it felt akin to lettering my name in the ship’s deck log, on the page no captain ever wished to use. Like every entry, it would be made in ink, but beside it would be a brief eulogy for why my name had been signed there. Heartbreak, it might say. Any who might read it later, with the benefit of hindsight and free of choice’s allure, would surely wonder if I couldn’t hang on just a little longer. Go just that much farther. Push it down as I always had. But deck logs were facts, not accounts of witness or studies of life, and so the question would remain unanswered long after the wind came back and decisions were easy.

Do the other idols know about Callie's and Marie's kraken forms? If not, how would the react to seeing them? (We already know what Shiver would do...gay octo jail for her)

The only other idols that seen the werekraken forms is Deep Cut! They got to see both Marie ( not pictured bite clinging to Mr.Grizz's arm) and Callie go werekraken form after Captain Cuttlefish was dehrydated. Further on, Neo Agent 3 and Captain are the only other agents who know about them. Big Man is the only one who is scared out of all of them though.
