So, I had so much fun with the Xmas AU collection last year, that I'm revisiting the theme this year! A bit different this time, and not quite so many, but a solid collection nonetheless. Enjoy!

For the week after Christmas, my author wrote for me, More about the Soulmates, Hot neighbors in the sun, Kisses caught on camera, Madame Tinder machinations, The vintner and the rancher should be frieeeeeends! Not quite a meet-cute, And a mystery to both you and meeeeeee!

Here’s the thing about me and Supercorp. I don’t even hate Supercorp as a ship. Melissa and Katie had mad chemistry in Season 2, so I get it. If they’re a background ship in something I’m reading, I don’t mind. I also didn’t like Karamel. No shade on those who thought it was cute, I’m just not a huge fan of bickering couples.

Alex is my fave, and I will read Agentcorp, Agentreign, Sanvers, Dansen, GeneralDanvers, and Agent Canary. I even like DirectorSanvers.

My dog in this fight isn’t about a ship war. I got that stupidity out of my system when I shipped Zutara back in high school. Ship wars turn everyone into assholes. To sound like a cop in an 80s movie, I’m too old for that shit.

It’s about fandom culture. It’s about bullying creators and cast members as well as other fans. It’s about making literally everything about your ship and your favorite character. It’s about hypocrisy of saying Mon El was abusive and then pretending Lena was perfectly justified in what she did. It’s about the virulence directed at cast members, several of whom are men of color, for the fictional characters they portray and then telling them they’re wrong or lying about the harassment they’ve recieved. It’s about bitching and moaning every episode that doesn’t revolve around Lena, or pretending William automatically destroys an episode like Nia’s last season. And, yes, it’s about only seeming to care about other represented groups when it serves your purpose.

Ship whatever you want. I honestly do not care. Just don’t be an asshole about it.

Favorite to talk/write about might be Supercorp? They got more time onscreen than the others and have a long history on the show, so there's more to talk about lmao. If I wrote fan fiction it might be a different answer though, since the other ships have more gaps for our imaginations to fill and fewer stories about them.

Favorite to read (fanfic) is probably Agentcorp ... it's a small but hardy crew with some really good stories out there. :)

Favorite to watch ... I like all of them including Witchcorp ... but for today I'll put Rojascorp in this spot.

Look at them. Imagine wasting this entire dynamic and backstory by just dropping their relationship altogether in the final season. Couldn't be me!!

Going to say something unpopular perhaps but it’s made my fandom experience so much better. Realize you can’t control the bad apples in fandom. YES call out the toxic portion in your fandom when you come across it but curate your timeline/newsfeed as needed. Do not entertain anyone from outside your fandom trying to hold you responsible for what others do. End of the day, you can ONLY control your actions online, no one else’s.

What I am basically saying is, enjoy that fanart, the fanfics, the inside jokes, the GC where you talk about your faves. That’s fandom. ♥️

The real tragedy of S5 was how the writers ruined both Kara and Lena and made them so unlikeable. I’m not even gonna touch how the Superfriends acting towards Lena because let’s be real, Brainy has been her only true friend out of that group and though I love SC still, more so the fan fiction version of them because one could make a very valid argument that he has been the far better friend to Lena than Kara has. Before you Kara stans come with your pitchforks, Kara had EVERY RIGHT not to disclose her identity to Lena but the minute she started trying to become friends with Lena as two different personas, it became deception. That’s where it became wrong and the fact they had to make Lena OOC to take the heat off of Kara was telling. Cause real talk, IRL if your friend deceived you for years and you found out, everyone and their mother would be telling you, omg get away from that person.

Trouble posting my AgentCorp fan fiction story on AO3

I've been so excited to post my first ever story well first chapter on ao3 but sadly I have been denied that privilege. For some reason it says the connection was lost or that ao3 stopped the connection. Idk why it I've tried it several times and nothing works. Is it possibly that I'm using my Android phone to upload it? Thing is I write my story on Google docs on my phone. I've already filled out the information to submit the story and I don't want to have to rewrite it all. Any ideas on what to do so I can post my Supergirl AgentCorp story?
