charlie being alone for so long she isn't used to anyone sharing space with her anymore
(who isn't a flying demon plushy anyway) (her dad keeps forgetting WHERE she even lives now even after the third time telling him-)
vaggie moving in and maybe getting bumped into and utterly steamrollered by accident a few times, several times, fairly often actually- much to charlie's distress and vaggie's amusement (getting smacked in the face by a pretty demon lady's chest wasn't the worst thing) (charlie fussing over her afterwards was also not terrible)
until her hair grew out long enough that charlie had the PERFECT excuse for giving her the ribbon
(is nice looks preddy) (charlie wants vaggie to have alllll the nice things) (matches with vaggie's prettiness) (that's not an opinion that's up for debate vaggie, hush)
...the ribbon, which totally isn't also a safety feature, absolutely doesn't make it easier for charlie to spot her gf before the potential Squish, definitely doesn't act in the same capacity as lucifer's top hat did for lilith (tol demon ladies have their struggles too) (especially when the angels they keep picking are Tiny)
this secret agenda is still not as secret as the OTHER reason charlie gives vaggie the hair ribbon
(maybe NOW vaggie will finally get rid of the horrible old bandages charlie first patched her up with the day they met or at least stop carrying them around and playing with them) (of course vaggie should do whatever makes her happy forever but charlie does NOT like remembering her being hurt)
vaggie gets the hint and keeps the bandages in the nightstand drawer on her side of the bed instead
(her sore back scars plus the increasing snuggles means she sleeps draped over charlie's chest most nights anyway now, and doesn't need the excuse of getting run over to have charlie hug and fuss over her anymore)
oh no. the stupid idea is growing on me

Soooo....... if you don't mind me asking
What was that about a cult in the human au👀👀👀
(I hope I'm getting that right and if not I'm referring to the one implied( ?) In I think the eddie short story you posted a while back)
I hope you have a good day/ night whenever you are <3 <3, you're like one of my fav welcome home creators rn <3 <3
HA uh it's not a real cult! it's more like a cult following if anything, the Guys™️ are just dramatic / passive-aggressive about it
a 'cult following of what' you may ask! well! it's a cult following of Wally! or more specifically, Wally's art. it isn't like, Famous or anything, but there's a niche group of art enthusiasts/snobs/etc that are borderline Obsessed with it (in my mind his art Is pretty funky! i like to think that he has mild associative synesthesia, which bleeds into his work along with his disregard for art 'rules' and the like)
it's not a huge problem? just a minor nuisance. and as a plus, it means that those people will pay absurd amounts for Wally's pieces when he sells them (or is doing commission work)!
Wally has mixed feelings about it. on one hand, he does Not mind attention & loves to talk about his art and meet new people. on the other hand, a lot of his "fans" are overbearing / over-familiar and blatantly misinterpret him and his art. so while Wally loves attending art shows etc, whenever he recognizes one of his "fans" walking over he'll often make an excuse to leave for a minute (or one of his friends will act as sort of a bodyguard lol)

its really interesting to me how the resident vampires in general of gg and bb have such completely different ideologies. mostly in reference to slayer and rachel but i think this somewhat extends to clavis also bc iirc he wasnt an observer but still kinda played by the same rules. theres at least a plot reason for rachel not to stick her nose into anything plotwise but she still kinda does anyway and i think even if she didnt have the bystander restrictions she wouldnt deign to interact with anyone all that often. i like the dichotomy of the alucards' general attitudes towards humans being at least moderately scornful and superior to some extent even if not actively despite still ultimately wanting to help out (mostly rachel tbh but theres still elements of the typical fiction vampire superiority complex type shit just in general vibes wise for all three of them, esp in relation to like. fuzzy) and slayer's attitude that humanity is a beautiful thing and wanting to help the people he comes across despite having no particular incentive to do so aside from personal fascination and goodwill. rachel already built in having some level of scorn for humans as lesser and also having ample incentive to never interfere with the main storyline as it carries out but doing it anyway because despite these things she still cares despite the active threat to her Literal Existence vs slayer having no skin in the game either way if he does or doesnt help anyone out but still deciding to try to help others find their way regardless just because if nothing else its the most interesting thing to do from his perspective. he has no external motivation TO or NOT TO interfere with anything, its just essentially long term people watching and hed rather do good than do nothing
