HUGE Hiatus Announcement

Heya, guys. 

So yeah...I was going to wait to do a post like this for later in the week/weekend...but well, life happened, and it looks like my situation has changed. 

By which I mean, gotten worse. 

But yeah--I’m going to be going on a bit of a hiatus for not one, not two, but all THREE of my blogs. I’m going to try and explain my reasons as best as I can, and I will be reblogging this post to both @ravensroleplays and @myth-city-comic, so my followers on all three can see them. 

1. My mom, despite knowing full well that we’re in the middle of a pandemic, is coming to see me for the weekend, and insists on staying in my apartment. So, despite myself, I’m going to be forced to play host to my abuser for at least three (and hopefully no more) days, and spend time with her while trying not to tear my hair out. 

2. Related to the above, somehow I get the feeling that, even if I can find time to work on Myth City this weekend, I probably won’t be in a good place to do so. To tell the truth, I might just end up putting MC on hiatus for the rest of the year, even after Mom’s left; along with holiday stuff, I’ve got a couple projects on my list I want to work on...some of which are concept art for a future story. So maybe I’ll just put the Myth City comic on hold until January, and dedicate December to doing other miscellaneous art stuff? Heck, with some of it, you could probably call it a preview of coming attractions?

3. I...kind of have conflicting feelings about my ask/RP blog right now. For one thing, I’ve actually been feeling invisible lately--I still have ideas, and have posted multiple open starters lately, but no one’s bitten, and more often than not, it feels like I’m just screaming into the void, only to get nothing but silence in return. I have 79 (well, 80 now), followers, but it seems like only two, maybe three, people actually ever seem to interact with me, and they’ve both decided to take a break from roleplaying themselves. Like, don’t get me wrong--I get that people have their own lives, and aren’t always up or available to RP or send me asks, but it still kind of hurts. 

And honestly? I feel like all my AUs lately are basically a mixed bag. 

Like, my BATIM AU, or at least the main one, ‘Found Family’ feels kind of...IDK, done now? Like, the Ink Family are all together, they’re happy, living their best life...they even have a baby now to seal the deal. I have an INKLING of an idea I could possibly use, but for the most part, it feels like the family got their happy ending, and their story is over? Though I could probably do something with Sammy and/or wait around until BATDR...after all, it looks like Alison is going to be in the game, so maybe I might get some ideas when the game comes out? 

My FNAF AU I feel could go any way...while I still choose to avoid almost everything after the third game like the plague, I’m pretty flexible, and down for pretty much anything within reason. Also--me and a friend of mine kind of came up with our own timeline/AU over Discord, and coming up with our own ideas, so I’m actually kind of falling back in love with it??? Not as much as I loved and was into it before, but still. 

And I’m still really into my AHIT AU, and have ideas for it--as evidenced by my aforementioned multiple open starters mostly being for AHIT. But yeah, even outside of those, I kind of had some stuff I wanted to do at some point; involving Snatcher and Hat Kid both (in the latter’s case, actually having her explore and probably find out more about her home planet, since I feel I haven’t really given her a whole lot of story outside of just being Snatcher’s adopted daughter, and she’s overdue for some more development and character). 

So, in general: 

@rhys-ravenfeather: on a small hiatus for the weekend, until my mom has left

@myth-city-comic: on hiatus for at least the same amount of time, possibly until January

@ravensroleplays: probably going on at least a semi-hiatus--I do plan to at least put my recent responses to RPs I have going on right now, and MAYBE send a starter to my newest follower, to see if they respond?

Don’t worry guys--with any luck I’ll be back on at least my main blog sooner rather than later; I’ll keep you all posted, and let you know how it all goes.

Splatoon/Ahit AU?

OK I’ve seen a few of these AU’s, and I’ve been developing my Splat in time AU for a bit, so might as well share it with y’all! Here are a few things that I’ve already decided! Some friends helped out with some choices too! Hat Kid is an Inkling, and mains the normal brella Mustache Girl is an Octoling and mains the Inkbrush The Bird Directors are no longer birds! Conductor is a Crab like Sheldon and Grooves is a Jellyfish and Inkling mix! Ductor and Grooves are the news hosts/Idols/performers where they are at! and they are having a splatfest against each other! chose Team Ductor or Team Grooves! Conductor either mains the Dynamo or Flingza roller! still haven’t decided! Grooves mains the Heavy Splatling Deco! Conductor may or may not get Hypnoshaded- well.. he doesn;t have eyes so... hypno headphones I guess- Snatcher is basically DJ Octavio! Besides his mech thingy, Snatcher mains the  E-liter 3K! Some silly thoughts I had on my Splatoon x hat in time crossover

Snatcher

I'd like to think for my lil Splatoon A hat in time crossover Snatcher translates to an Octoling somewhat similar to Octavio yet with darker colors and such but is generally much bigger than normal kinda deal

Hatkid

Hat kid translated to an inkling with a undercover brella replacing her actual umbrella and the Stars on it in color respond to different colors as well for instance it could go from purple to blue if she had blue ink color instead another funfact is she's just barely taller than Pearl as a height comparison and how she's still got that short stature going on for her even if it's a bit taller than her true height her inkling counterpart is silent compared to her normal self as a result of unfamiliarity and new things she's never really seen before so much differences she's grown overwhelmed and has become selectively mute and a gal of only few words and many gestures.

Bowkid

She'd be an octoling me thinks her bat idk which would work best a brush or a splatana weapon(if you have an idea leave a comment or reblog saying it!) but she's generally more chill as I hc her more laid back than hatkid but she's still got the same unfamiliarity as Hatkid she's just more vocal about it and curious than her she'd be a green to blue gradient color and I'm still thinking about the outfit and other related stuff and charters but that's what I got for now

this is bunny kid!! she’s one of my ahit ocs, and she lives in mafia town!! (not to be confused with another scarf wearing oc referenced in hat scientist)i also made a magical girl costume for her in a rp discord server with a bunch of different aus you could put your ocs in!

she’s friends with the crow enemies in ahit, so they dont attack her! the mafia, on the other hand, hate her. but she’s a pacifist!! she only uses her boomerang in emergencies, or just playing around with the crows

this is koharu, originally a danganronpa oc but she’s more a general oc now! i should probably draw her sometime this month.. pride month babeyi dont have much to say abt her?? i havent really developed a backstory or anything for her

THIS IS MY SECOND OC EVER!!! and one of my favorites!! it’s hibiki!! again, originally a dr oc but now a general oc. he has one of the longest backstories of any of the ocs i’ve made- and fuck, it’s pretty dark for a story i made when i was like, 11 i think? basically his whole family was murdered. also he has a fear of heights

this is takumi! again (yeah i know, i had a lot of dr ocs), was originally a dr oc but is now just an all around character! he has heterochromia- one eye is a different color from the other. his backstory is also kinda sad, as his family thought he was the fuckin devil cause of his eyeshe’s a clown and says lmao outloud

onto the non-human ocs, this is nikki! she’s a splatoon oc and her species is a firefly inkling, which if you didnt know is a fanmade splatoon species! originally i got her from an adopt post on amino, so some of the design is changed from what she originally looked like. uhh she has a pretty bland backstory, she’s just from a town where a lot of other firefly inklings live!

(or just ‘the bat’)i have posts for these three already, but like.. i kinda wanted to change their backstories a bit? cause now i’ve actually played some sonic games and know a little moredunno when ill do that.. but yeah! prism and maroon are dating, and prism’s trans! her dad is kinda protective over her, and also made her wear the robot lookin stuff. she has no fucking clue what they’re for. she was sad saying it messed up her aesthetic so her dad let her dye some of her fur different colors.her dad is kinda scared of maroon?? she’s new in the town where prism and chris live and prism’s dad thinks she suspicious.. the only reason maroon moved is that where she lived was fuckin Destroyed during the events of forces. the town chris and prism live in wasn’t as badly damaged but some time was needed to fix it up.the town is pretty small, so a lot of people are friends with each other, including prism and chris. when maroon showed up they decided they should go say hi to the new person in town, and they all quickly became friends. there’s a forest nearby that everyone says is dangerous but the three were like “fuck that let’s go adventure”they could make up a team?? prism being the speed type, maroon the power type, and chris the flying type. cause honestly i do wanna one day make tsr edits of the little icons that show up when characters talk so they look like the sonic ocs i havei made chris cause the name of the species sounded like it would be neat to make a sonic oc out of.. fake fox… faker.. haha funney joke

talking about hat scientist instead of working on the next update like i should be + fun facts abt memo i guess

god gray syndrome really does sound like some zombie survival game shit sickness doesnt it i mean. that’s on me, being bad at namin shit. i didnt know what to call it and i was just.. well gray is associated with tired, and matureness can be boring which can be portrayed as gray as well so i just. Heohe, betch note that. it may or may not be because i wanted something in the ahit universe i could relate to, having a kinda rare condition cause im just a baby hk kinnie so now hat sci has the syndrome. im gremlin it be like that sometimes. projecting stuff onto other things you like and associate with is a good way to cope imo. even if it’s some stupid shit like “gray syndrome”, dude if it makes you happy go for it honestly yeah gray syndrome is like. as explained in that one post. a minor thing that happens every now and then for a lot of the kids of that alien species. but like. h sci has it permanent so she always talks like Fuckky Doo I’m Profeesssional [insert tm emoji here] unless she’s been more emotional lately OR anons say it’s 90s mode time.. god 90s hat sci was so fun to make. “it’s fun o’clock” was one of the cleverest ideas ive ever had honestly.. the shirt design was neat too. that m/a really helped me train on designing outfits and experiment with different personalities back to why i made gray syndrome though. irl, i, the op and creator of the hat scientist au, have this health condition i was born with. basically my fuckin. aaaa definitely not googling the correct spelling pituitary gland, a brain part that helps our body grow just fucking yeeted outta existence meaning the sole body part that helps my body grow wasnt there when i was born and still isnt cause implant shit like that isn’t possible in the brain yet (iirc) so i have to take medicine. every day. to make my body grow. pills in the morning, afternoon, and then a shot every night. like. needle shot. i dont drink alcohol and suddenly start growinGNASFMIOMIOFAS luckily i dont have to go to the hospital every single night. i can just do it myself every night cause we got one at home. the personal shit ive been going through is slightly related to this but im not gonna tell the whole story. all ill tell you is those details and the name, which i should’ve said first: panhypopituitarism, or panhypopit for short. wow yknow the condition’s rare and not widely known when not even tumblr recognizes it as a real word and underlines it red

but uh. god that went to hat scientist to ah fuck where’d my pituitary gland go extra shit: you can get this condition by a real bad accident in which the gland stops working (i think thats how it works) which is still rare, but being born with it is somethin like 1/1000 people or 1/10000 people. forget which one cause google doesnt have the answer but it was one of the two. my squidsona also has a fanmade rare sickness/health condition which causes her lifespan to be shorter than an average inkling/octoling’s. if i ever make a pokesona, they’re definitely going to be a shiny or have pokerus whenever i see someone else online say they have the same thing or a similiar thing to it i freak out cause like!!! same hat! and. if any of my followers (hewwo i love yall (not romantically)) knew about this condition before it OR EVEN HAVE SOMETHING LIKE IT i will. uh. do somethin. idKSIASIONMFSIONMAS i like to talk. preview on the update? hat scientist walked the whole way to find mustache girl while it’s raining without putting up her umbrella, until she got to mustache girl and she needed it. i only have two line arts done and most likely 2-3 more to go before i have to color everything, put a dark blue tint on all the colors to fit the rainy palette, and maybe if im up to it and it doesnt take long shade/highlight everything. luckily this week’s a school vacation so i can work on this a lot!
