1- king juliens parents are hilarious and extremely fun characters . Yeah they neglected him and whatnot but god theyre hilarious i dont get why theyre so hated (well i do, but they do end up improving themselves)

2- Mort isnt an eldritch evil god and the theorisers videos made people extremely annoying about mort😭like u cant post about mort without someone quoting points from the theorizer like theyre canon when theyre not (i think ahkj fans agree with this so idk if its a hot take or not)

I honestly never even considered Willie x Mort. That's kinda a cute idea!)

Yeah! :D its really cute and soft when I picture it, and also with a heaping helping of angst.

My fav Willie ships are Willie x Mort, Willie x Dorothy, and Willie x Pancho as homies. I'll break them down for yall! <3

Willie x Mort is interesting in that both of them are bullied/misunderstood by people. Willie likes Mort because he sees beyond the weirdness to see someone who's as lonely as he sometimes feels.

Like my best boo @dondon-deconcon mentioned, Willie would eventually work up the courage to tell Mort how he feels. He desperately wants him to value himself more, to feel the same indignance he feels. Mort rejects him at first (he does feel something for him, but it's convoluted/difficult), and it hurts him, but he doesn't expect anything from him. His anger and resentment towards Julien only worsens however. I THRIVE off the thought of Julien throwing some insult at Mort or something and Willie just gives the tiniest growl that he directs at Julien that he doesn't think he can hear, but Julien just turns around like.

Anyway, when Mort does eventually realize his feelings for Willie and they work things out, their relationship is soft, and Willie is there to comfort him and vice versa.

For Willie x Dorothy, I like to think they've been friends since lemur school, but Willie's always harbored a softness for her that he never opened up about, especially after she starts dating Ted.

He was seen grooming her in s1, and lemurs do that to strengthen bonds between each other. So I like to think they're close, but Dorothy has never thought anything of it. Willie often brings her gifts, like sea glass and other things that he finds fascinating (i initially brought this up in my Willie hc post, its a big deal if he gives you these gifts), and she finds it endearing. Though I can't decide if he would do it in secret for fear of pissing Ted off and Dorothy only later figures out it was him, or he gives them to Dorothy and eventually she realizes that it might mean more to both of them than she first thought.

I need to flesh out this one a bit more, but I think Willie would treat her well, and make her feel loved and appreciated.

Willie x Pancho is a fun homies ship. As far as I hc they've been friends since lemur school, and Pancho often gets him into chaotic situations. Like getting drunk at the mango tango and putting their names on the sacrifice list together, or having the homie vow to eat each other if the need ever arises.

It cracks me up (and its also wildly soft) to think about Pancho just grabbing Willie and Horst's paws, or Willie carries Pancho home bridal style after he collapses on the dancefloor in Panchurian candidate.

Willie: ... you wanna go home, Pancho?

Pancho: ... yeah

Willie: okay *scoops him up*

Julien just has to accept Pancho has two paws. One for him, and one for his homies.

(This last one is hilariously timed like, it looks to me like Pancho is whispering in his ear. I know he isn't but it just looks like it xD

Pfew, i’ve finished my Karl fanart i teased a few days back.

And it’s still a few days left before Halloween!

May i present to you: Professor Karl Moriarty!

I’m very confident that the AHKJ writers took inspiration for Karl from Prof. James Moriarty of the Sherlock Holmes novels. In my HC Karl is in possession of the novel and his idol is obviously Moriarty, which he tries to immitate to some extend (ofcourse he’s adding his little bit of extra to it).

Ofcourse his crane features a hidden blade, please.

I was planning on doing this after i made the King Julien as Kuzco picture, as some kind of “AHKJ characters cosplaying characters they’re alike” theme, but i didn’t feel like doing two pictures of that quality in a row, so i left it. Now that Halloween is comming, i figured “why not?” and i really wanted to draw Karl again. Win-win :3

His outfit is very much inspired by the “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” movie Moriarty, who was played by the talented Jared Harris. I love the two films, but i might be abit Rober Downey Jr. biased.

Shortly before finishing this, i noticed that @puddingdraws uploaded a similar sketch with Karl as Sherlock Holmes. I think we both agree that Karl loves those books :D

Okay idea. So, I headcannon that even though Hector is a grouch, he does care about the other leems deep down, and there are occasions where that affection will shine through. Now, you said you headcannon that the lemur that Willie was beating up was his ex boyfriend, right? Well... imagine Hector finding a heartbroken Willie crying about how his ex hurt him and Hector comforting him.

D U D E yes! I love this! I hc Hector is big soft for all his dumpkins, he just doesn't like to show it. But he would 100% comfort Willie. I also like to think Pancho would destroy this guy.

I can also see him being particularly short with Ted because he sees right through him and thinks Dorothy deserves better. Hence he shoved Ted on the beach. Dorothy didn't appreciate it though.

Was wondering what presents you’ve gotten for your birthday? Also, how do you think AHKJ characters might celebrate their birthdays?

Well! I got money, some chocolates, a cute scarf! The money is neat because there's so many things I wanna buy. Like maybe new copic markers, or a csp subscription, or pay for my ahkj keychains to get printed. *gasp* Or even a custom Pancho plushie 🥺

As for birthdays, this is how I hc them.

- Julien totally has a bi monthly birthday party, a huge bash that lasts the whole night and sometimes even into the next day and night.

-Maurice likes to keep his own birthdays small and with close friends. Sometimes Julien attempts to make a big thing out of it, but usually that results in a disaster that Maurice has to clean up. So just him and a few friends (Julien, Clover, Ted, Mort, his family, Xixi and Pancho (he pretty much invites himself)) is good enough for him.

-Teds parties always have a theme, and literally everyone is invited. He encourages everyone to dress up, and even if they don't he'll find something for them to wear, much to their chagrin. He goes all out to cater to everyone, with snacks and nice drinks, so sometimes he has to be reminded that he's the birthday boy and should get back to having fun.

- Pancho keeps his parties small but wild, with close friends and plenty of drinks and chaos. Because he has no memories of his childhood or family, he doesn't know when he was born, so his birthday is the day he was found in the village, lost and without his memories. Because of that, the day can feel a bit odd and sad to him, but his friends make him feel like it's all okay in the end. (He gets big soft for them)

- Clover didn't really do birthdays until she made her friends, and now they insist she has a party every year. She's kind of just the victim of whatever party Julien and Maurice planned for her, but she has fun most of the time (if a bit awkwardly)

- Morts birthday is a sad and lonely affair, with his dolls usually. Maurice, Julien and Clover don't really make an effort. If Julien lets him touch his feet for half a second longer before yeeting him, that's a win in his books. Willie and Ted are the only other ones who know of his birthday (Ted is friendly enough to remember everyone's birthdays, and Willie likes Mort enough to remember it). Ted doesn't stay for his doll parties because its just too sad and awkward, and Mort doesn't invite Willie to stay. (Poor Willie, he's trying)

-Willie's parties are small and limited to his close friends Horst and Pancho. He doesn't see his family if he can avoid it, what with their fighting and his parents being emotionally distant. Horst and Pancho drag him out for drinks at the Mango Tango, and the chaos ensues.

- Horst likes to party, but what he really wants to do for his birthday is have a romantic evening with his wife Mary Ann.

Do you have any headcanons that Pancho still hurts at the word 'Felon'? I mean, he is a felon

I think! Pancho often times doesn’t like being called a “felon” as it just brings back connotations of being in jail & treated badly.

I think a lot of his criminal tendancies stem from a simple lack of identity & understanding of himself; all he remembers is vaugely being brainwashed to murder a specific person after all. It’s really all he knows; it seems logical to him to rob & steal in order to get food or currancy in order to survive. He had had no guidance from friends or family; at least none that he could remember. His relationships with others are strained as he doesn’t have any positive experiences to know how to form proper & honest bonds with others, e.g, his ex-wife, Sharon, and his unnamed second ex-wife.

I hc that a logical part of him is somewhat aware that wider society treats criminals badly & is untrusting of them (Pancho is smarter & more self aware than a lot of characters give him credit for!) and part of him wishes to be part of a family; part of a community/part of society. A lot of the time, he’s proud of his criminal activities as it’s really all he’s known, but at the same time he feels cognitive dissonance to do with like being aware of the negative connotations the word “felon” brings in regards to his relationships with others, others not deeming him trustworthy ect.

When, in this case, he was actually right! Maurice & Julien were quick to judge that Pancho was the one who ate all the food on the submarine, when it was actually Ted. I guess he feels he’s treated unfairly in situations like this. Basically, I just think this poor dude is just as confused as we are.
