Oh, speaking of Vasco & Machete's voices, I always imagined machete as having either a very high and delicate voice or an uncharacteristically grave, low and regal voice, similar to how Jeremy Irons voices Scar in the original lion king. I personally like the grave voice idea much more, i find it at the same time a curve ball and somehow fitting of Machete

I think it's a little bit of both. Machete has a meticulously crafted work persona that is quite different from what he's like off the clock, you could say he has developed a distinct customer service voice. It's imperative that he comes across as professional, respectable and authoritative, so he has learned to use a lower register than he normally would, and keeps his tone cold, measured and impersonal. I'd say he sounds dignified and somewhat long-suffering, often with a tired, bitter creak. All in all he sustains this business facade quite well.

In private he's very soft-spoken and tends to have an underlying wounded, whimpery frailness to him. He practically never raises his voice but when sufficiently agitated, he becomes a fast and expressive talker and his pitch rises sharply. He doesn't sing (outside of conducting an occasional Mass, I suppose) but has a surprisingly light and airy laugh.

So another challenge for Sasin, so I can finally finish it. I'm just nearing the end of chapter five where things are getting interesting. I'm exploring a new character dynamic that I ought to do for a long time now, lol. They're gonna be crucial for the story, so I got really excited to finally be able to start them.

Unfortunately I am both extremely jealous of certain WAGs while also understanding problematic things about some of them? Like I would absolutely trade places with a few of them because I like their respective drivers. But some of the team/branding involvement is just insane.

I'm not jealous of them because honestly, once you look past the manufactured "glamour" aspect it looks fucking miserable. A partner who is never going to pick you above their job? Being eternally submissive to them unless you set a pretty early and steadfast boundary in terms of looking out for yourself, keeping your own freedoms and making sure you don't become simply an accessory to them?

Absolutely none of them are "couple goals" to quote a phrase I detest. An ever decreasing number of them look like they even enjoy each others company - any spark replaced by a dead behind the eyes corporate show of togetherness for the cameras at any given moment.

I keep seeing people suggesting the brand deals they get are essentially a reward/sweetener for the shit they have to put up with dating an F1 driver and... I hate to break it to people but that's not how healthy relationships work? (There's another word for it... 🤫)

But F1 are gonna keep trying to sell young girls the allure of luxury holidays, designer clothes, and racing driver boyfriends as if "WAG" is some kind of aspirational career path, because the aesthetic is king nowadays. Anything to disguise the absolute soulless, tradwife hellscape it actually is!!! Why would any girl aspire to be a driver or an engineer when you can be a wag, right?!!
