Happy Winter everyone!
I took a small break to actually play with some of the new expansions I got for the holidays and spend some time with my husband. We had a good time this year but it was a struggle to get into the spirit on my part for sure. When I came back to the drawing board I was still feeling a bit burnt-out, started and demolished quite a few different concepts then finally stopped and reflected a bit on it. I watched some videos on tiny winter houses I had liked before and tried to get the juices flowing. Finally as I was watching I asked myself, what would be my dream winter vacation? No one around but my husband and hot water under falling snow and trees with fireplaces everywhere. Another video started and I had the fuel I needed, and so came this little love letter to my beautiful man!
So without further ado, I present Pine Falls Treehouse! This luxury Sim BnB treehouse will be the perfect romantic getaway you always dreamed of! Your own hot spring, sauna, full kitchen, and what I can only describe as the nap/video game room. Built to appreciate the snow in style and ALONE. And I think after this year a lot of us could use just that! Since it is a rental and based on a real life Air Bnb, I tried to make it feel like it with complimentary thermoses and snack packs, board games, and little things the host might have left for you, because those things are just so satisfying and I will never understand why lol.
The only cc items I used were:
Ravasheen - Counter Fit Fridges (thank you so much for these, all your mods are absolutely wonderful)
Max20 - Easy Bends Fireplace (thank you! I love your mod themes)
These items are totally replaceable functionally but without them I could not achieve the aesthetic I REALLY wanted, if you don't use CC this house could still be used with a little touchup. It also still looks really good in spring if anyone is curious. It blooms with those purple Granite Falls flowers and ivy all over, I was kind of surprised how pretty it was actually.
As usual you can find it on my gallery at thesimfulbuilder
If you are also interested in the real life inspiration you can find that here! It is the first house in the video :)
Thanks for reading!

♀✿︎VENUS♀︎✿
♥︎Heavy Venusian energy in ur chart can make you somewhat self indulgent- it’s the self care mentality: let them eat cake and bathe in roses 🥀 kinda energy.
♥︎Always very aware of how you look, how you appear to others. Rarely will you find a heavy Venusian chart that dresses sloppy. Regardless Venus will endow these people with naturally good looks.
♥︎Venus doesn’t like to ruffle feathers. People with heavy Venus are usually quite charming and if not charming, at least friendly and sweet. Libra placements usually take the cake for “charming” their way out of anything 🤭 I like to think this is because they’re an air sign and they’ll say the exact right thing at the right time to keep the peace ✌️
♥︎Venus doesn’t hurry because she knows whatever is meant for her will come in time. You’ll find that Venusians tend to take things slow…they’re notorious for being late. When they say meet me at 10am, it usually means 12:30…but don’t take it personally, they were just lookin’ nice for you 🥰
♥︎Venus is aesthetics~~~✧✧✧Venus is value…if it ain’t high quality what’s the point ? Venus is that bougie ass energy..$100 candle, why not ? $500 air bnb versus $100 air bnb, but the $500 one is soooo cute and it has like really pretty decorations and Aesop hand wash- like obv it’s the $500 air bnb.
♥︎Venus is blessings. After all, it’s a benefic planet- benefic meaning beneficial 🤌 Venus wants to give, it wants an abundant life, it wants all the nice things and so heavy Venusian charts tend to naturally attract these blessings 💜
Bless up y’all 💜💜💜 lady Venus loves you 🧚

8 Activities To Add To Your Phuket, Thailand Group Trip Itinerary
The Thailand Hotties Takeover Made It Out Of The Group Chat
Sawasdee Krab, fellow beautiful people! Join me as I recap the amazing adventure of Jewel’s Twenty Fine birthday group trip to Phuket, Thailand. Last year May 2023 we celebrated the fabulous twenty-fifth birthday of my dear friend Jewel. From exciting interactions while swimming with the elephants to dancing the night away at Sugar Phuket. Our 13-day adventure in the Land of Smiles was a celebration of culture, friendship, and unforgettable moments.
In the year 2023 alone I traveled to 4 countries and had the hottest summer full of excitement and fun experiences. My friend Jewel sent out her birthday invitations for her group trip to Thailand back in November of 2022. To confirm and hold our spots we each had to pay a deposit of $200. If you decided last minute you no longer wanted to attend then you would forfeit your deposit. In which I thought was a very smart idea. The group chat originally started with I believe 13 or 14 people. But only 10 of us made it out of the chat. Bare in mind that we were splitting the cost based on the confirmed headcount and deposits paid. However, I would just like to add that if you know financially you are not in a position to afford a trip abroad before you say yes think about the expenses and how it will affect the planning process. Don’t be selfish and drop out 1 month or a few weeks before the trip. It’s inconsiderate and unfair to those who have already put money down.
I honestly commend Jewel because the trip was organized very well from the beginning. She went the extra mile to make sure each of us were accommodated and felt included in the planning process. She created a group chat with everyone who was invited and then informed us to download the app Plannet. This app is genius, it gives you the financial breakdown and itinerary all in one app. You can add your Airbnb to the itinerary, add time slots for each activity, see the cost of each restaurant and excursion, and also connect with locals via the app.
Be sure to download the app Plannet.io to curate the trip itinerary and keep track of the individual financial obligations in the app.
JFK > Germany (10 hour layover) > Singapore > Phuket, Thailand
We left JFK on May 9th in the evening and landed the next day at Frankfurt airport. Our 10 hour layover in Germany was super long but we made the best of it. We took a train ride into a local town shopping center, ate lunch and shopped around. It was my second time to Germany but my German is not the greatest, we had a hard time navigating the train sysytem but figured it out. Have you ever showered in the airport? It was quite the experience, think of showering in the gym or a spa that is what it felt like. Frankfurt airport had the nap pods , I wanted to try it out because I was sooo sleepy but they all were booked out.
Phuket, Thailand > Bangkok > Abu Dhabi > JFK
As we touched down in Thailand, all I remember was that the air was thick and it was extremely HOT!! Our home for the trip, a luxurous villa booked via Air BnB, that sat high up on a hill and came with a scenic view of Phuket.
Check out our Phuket, thailand Itinerary below:
Ma Doo Bua Cafe
This restaurant is one of the top instagrammable places in Thailand. The aesthetic and overall tranquility is extremely aesthetically pleasing. For just 500 Baht and up, you can get drone photos and videos taken of you and share to your instagram. You are on a boat in the middle of an oasis of lily pads and a drone flies over your head, you have to be quick to strike a pose. The cafe offers meals as well, but in my opinion the food was not the best in comparison to the food we ate at other locations. I was honestly just there for the aesthetics and photo opps.
Big Buddha
Please note this is spiritual grounds, be respectful and be mindful of your outfit choice for this day. Cover up, dress modest, and wear flats or sneakers because you will be doing a lot of walking. The guards at the front will direct you to get a scarf for sale if you are not appropriately dressed. The Big Buddha offered panoramic views of Phuket and a sense of spiritual serenity. The intricate details of the statue, standing at 45 meters tall, were awe-inspiring. The surrounding temple grounds provided a peaceful retreat, allowing us to reflect on the beauty of Thai culture. This is a hot spot for tourists it does get crowded just be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the beauty the statue brings.
Swimming with the Elephants
After learning that the elephants are maltreated and we are not supposed to be on their backs, I was hesistant to go. I know there are sanctuaries that take care of their elephants, however we already booked the excursion to the swim with the elephants at the beach. The elephants are trained very well and the trainers will tell the elephants to splash you, smack your butt with their trunk, or give you a kiss. The area in the water where the “swimming” takes place, is not that sanitary becuase the same water you take pictures with the elephants is where the elephants deficate. I personally was not too fond of this excursion but the photos came out super cute. Bare in mid the walk down and up from the beach is long and if you are not in any condition to walk that long and far think twice before booking. Whew chile, it was hot and tiresome.
Tiger Kingdom Phuket
Our next adventure took us to the Tiger Kingdom in Phuket, where we shared ooohs and awwws at the baby cubs. From playful cubs to the adults tigers, interacting with these cats up close was both exhilarating and humbling. It was an experience that left me with a appreciation for wildlife. I was extremely nervous to take pictures with the tigers. Once I learned the tigers were sedated and the trainers are there to ensure you are okay, I calmed down. I enjoyed taking pictures with the tigers more than the elephants to be honest.
Yacht Day - Shades of Brown
Jewel celebrated her birthday on the Yacht with balloons and a chef. The theme was for everyone to wear bathing suits in shades of brown because her last name is Brown which was such a cute idea. Unfortunately on this day was not feeling well at all. I was coming down with a cold due to the tropical weather and going in and out of the water. I got to take some really cute photos and even ride the jet ski. I recommend adding a yacht day to your birthday trip itinerary becuase it’s all about the experience. Popping champagne in the middle of the ocean is always a grand time!
Day Trip to Phi Phi Islands
We were originally supposed to spend 2 nights in Phi Phi Islands but changed the plan to take a day trip instead. We were greeted by coach bus driver that took us the marina where the boats were docked to carry us to Phi Phi Islands. We took the fastest speed boat to the islands and the the waves were too much I was literally scared the entire time. When we arrived we went to Monkey Beach where the monkeys were scattered all over the beach. They were cute but the staff inormed us not to bring anything off of the boats on to the beack because the monkies will attack and some people did not listen. They brought their items onto the beach and of course there were a few tussles with the mokeys. LOL it was scary because they were small but vicous.
Maya Beach Club
We visited Maya Beach club on our first day of the trip where we had lunch. This beach club is cool and hip to the Afrobeats. The drinks were so cute, we rented cabanas on the beach but the waves were crashing into the shore so strongly that the cabanas were getting wet. I took the cutest photos at the beach club that I never posted of course. But overall if you are looking for a fun daytime activity that is chill, check out this spot. We heard at night it is really live and I believe they star serving hookah after 5:00pm, however hookah or no hookah this beach club is great for photos and a lovely day at the beach.
Visit Patong Beach at night - Sugar Club Phuket (Afrobeats nights on Thursdays)
We partied at Sugar nightclub from the very first night and each night we visited it was a vibe. We did visit another club on the strip but our favorite nightclub on the island was Sugar due to the Afrobeats they played. Being that we were a group of all Africans who listen to Afrobeats it was only right to enjoy a spot that catered music to us. The memories created on the dance floor and on the stage (iykyk) will be remembered for a lifetime.
Bonus: Ride a Tuk Tuk in Patong Beach to one of your destinations and get Henna Tattoos at the beach.
As our Thai adventure came to an end, I was sad to go but a time was had in this tropical paradise. Thailand had given us more than memories! I cannot wait to travel back and this time to Bangkock.
Sawadee Krap, Thailand! Your beauty, warmth, and hospitality will be eternally cherished in our hearts.

Beautifully Designed Garden Rooms That Take Your Breath Away
Tumblr media
Garden rooms are one of the best ways you can truly bring out your garden in all of its glory, especially when they are not only well-designed and in the right space, but if they’re looked after with care as well.
If you’re interested in beautiful garden rooms, like Leisure Buildings, and learning more about them, the benefits of having them, and whether you can put a toilet in them or not, then continue reading this article for more information.
What Are Garden Rooms?
Tumblr media
So what exactly is a garden room, what are they used for? Garden rooms are basically very well and beautifully designed structures that you can find in people’s gardens and are used as a place to socialize with family members and others, or simply relax.
Garden rooms are generally made out of wood, such as timber or alike, for the walls and flooring, while the rooves are typically made out of tiles or brick. Their design, especially when insulated, is to keep the temperature at a standard to ensure your comfort at all times.
Some people make their garden rooms to be specifically designed for accommodation and as a living situation, whether to be rented out or for guests that might visit. It is important to note though that you need to be legally allowed to do this before finalizing anything.
Garden rooms can last between 30-40 years, and sometimes longer if looked after thoroughly, especially during weather events or similar disasters that might occur. This also depends on how well the structure was built and whether or not it is designed to withstand the conditions it will be bound to face.
Can You Put A Toilet In Garden Rooms?
Tumblr media
Can you put a toilet in your garden room? While this might be a bit of a weird question, especially if you aren’t familiar with the fact you can rent out or AIR BNB your garden rooms with the correct permissions in place, but it is a completely valid thing to do and a lot of people do it.
Garden rooms can be fitted with toilets, but you need to consider how much space you have and whether the structure has enough room to accommodate a toilet. Then there’s also the fact of privacy and the smell factor, is there enough room to section it off at all, is that something you even want?
You will be happy to know as well, that you won’t need permission or any type of agreement by the government needed to add a toilet. As long as the building itself is within 2.5 meters in height, then you have nothing to worry about and you can do whatever you like.
What Are The Benefits Of Having Garden Rooms?
Tumblr media
Garden rooms have a lot of good things about them, such as the ability to store items and other bits and pieces you wouldn’t be able to fit in your house, or to avoid any clutter, have a lovely plant display or inside garden, and a lot more.
Having a garden room, especially one that is insulated, is one of the best ways you can save money while outside and if visitors come to stay. Not only will they not have to worry about stepping on your toes and vice versa in your own house, but they will have their own privacy and not have to worry about finding a hotel or alike to stay in.
If you’re finding you need a separate workspace, or simply a place to chill out in that’s not connected to your home but is still connected to your garden, then garden rooms, like from Leisure Buildings, provide additional living space for you to enjoy, either alone or with others, while still guaranteeing privacy.
Thanks to the numerous amount of design options you get to choose from, not only will it fit the aesthetic of your home and garden, but it is suited for all properties thanks to this. No matter if you have an old or new-styled house or property, there will always be something for everyone.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a place to entertain guests or put up relatives and friends for the night on your property, but don’t have the space for it in your own home, then having a garden room, like from Leisure Buildings, that is specifically catered to you and your needs is definitely the way you want to go.

Santor Watch: The Key To Christmas (2020)
Tumblr media
Approx. 100x more effort was put into this poster than the movie
Watched:  11/27/2022
Format:  Amazon Watch Party
Viewing:  First
Director, Writer, Camera, Editor, Catering, Accountant, Set Decoration:  Jason Mills
Some pals seem to take exception to my practice of watching bad movies, riffing them, commenting upon them, etc...  The argument goes "someone tried, and it's not cool to make fun of them for trying".  To that I say:  if trying is your criteria, I welcome you to watch The Key to Christmas (2020).  Because that @#$% ain't happening here.
Look, I don't understand the market for ultra-cheap holiday movies.  There can't be that many Me and Doug's out there constantly looking for ways to torture each other with the worst in absolute garbage media.  Someone is out there buying the rights to these movies to distribute them with the idea that enough people will watch them that these movies will make money somehow.  I don't get the model.  I have to assume it's money laundering, tax fraud or something.
The wildest part is that you get "movie" after "movie" like this, where it's clear there's no consideration of the basic building blocks of technique, artistry or craftsmanship.  It's someone with time, enough money to get a squad of people together for enough days to film something that runs 80 minutes, and - sometimes - a script.  But barely that.  And there's so, so much of it.
The Key to Christmas (2020) almost isn't worth discussing because it's just a list of complaints.  "Filmed" in Vancouver, the basic idea is that Santa (a) leaves a "key" at some teen girls' house that is absolutely essential to his operation and in no way needs to be on the sleigh with him (b) time has no meaning at the North Pole except when it does - so Santa has time to return to the North Pole and really yell at an elf before demoting her to stable-cleaning duties because of a few sloppy mistakes.*  (c) the incompetent elf rises up and overthrows Santa with barely any effort and no one stops her.  Santa - who has fucked off during the middle of present delivery on Christmas Eve to go take a vacation at an AirBnB in suburban Vancouver.
The elf who gives no @#$%'s uses a spare copy of the magic key (sure, why not?) to keep Santa stuck in his Air BnB somehow, and start de-aging him.
Mrs. Claus is thrown in Candy Cane Jail where she languishes for a calendar year while Santa apparently lives in a house with no job, only his Santa Suit to wear, and his only goal to be get his key back from the 13 year old he left his key with.  And he tries a single time to get the key in that year, even as he may be dying and his wife is unjustly imprisoned and the elves do jack and shit to stop the equivalent of a 16 year old girl (who is maybe 5'1") and her dullard pal.  Santa famously breaks and enters millions of times every year, so that seems like it's not an issue.  And he could walk to the North Pole from Vancouver in a matter of weeks one assumes.  So maybe he just doesn't care.  The filmmakers don't.
The entire film looks and feels like something you'd expect of someone goofing making a home movie.  Aesthetically, the only worse movies I can point to immediately are Santa's Summer House which featured whole scenes shot from a chair up at actors with a handicam and Rollergator, which is its own thing.  Doug pointed out pretty early on that the depiction of the North Pole is entirely close-ups because they have no real North Pole set.  There's a few flourishes, but they're literally working against bare white walls - so the decision was made to shoot everything in extreme close-up.  Using glaring lighting that I assume is just the florescent overheads.  And, look, Mrs. Claus is perfectly lovely, but they don't even powder her make-up, so she constantly looks shiny.  In constant, unrelenting close-up.  It's all just lazy and cheap and weird.
Like, look, nothing in this movie makes any sense.  Because no one is trying.  And it's entirely on whoever watches these movies - who you assume will be children abandoned by their parents with a TV and a Hot Pocket - for the movie existing.  It's weird anti-art.  A guy with some consumer grade production hardware and an Adobe Creative Cloud license did a thing, and now it exists.  I feel bad for the audience, but I also feel bad for talent who anyone actually trying to act who thought this was a real opportunity.
This also seems to have been shot during quarantine, so there are a lot of questions about the wisdom of the filmmakers that kind of answer themselves.  I get that I didn't have to watch this - we did this to ourselves.  What I don't get is how one just decides *trying* is asking simply too much.
Again, seriously, if anyone out there understands how this economy works, I'd love to know.  And if this is a reel for the writer/ director/ producer, what is the endgame here?  And can I make a suggestion? Here's a good read.  And if that's too fancy.
