Prompt: Childe, captain of your rival school's soccer team, helps you clear out the soccer field and closes it up with you. Will he stop being an asshole? Probably not.

Characters: SoccerPlayer! Childe x Fem reader

Genre: Modern High School Sports AU, school rivals to something more?

Notes: This prompt was in my mind and I couldn't help but bring it to life. I hope y'all like this!

Soccer practice was always fun but sometimes sharing the field with your rival team isn’t the best idea. You had no choice though, both your team and Childe’s booked the same field for the same time slot and now you had no choice but to practice with their team.

You’re not complaining, with the start of the season coming up next week, having a rough practice with his team can prep you and your team for what’s to come. It was a great match, with both teams doing their best until the very end. Though it ended with a tie, you and Childe were fine with the outcome. With both of your teams being the best out of all the other teams, you were expected to meet in the finals anyway.

Now late at night, the cold breeze blows through the field as both you and Childe pick up the balls all over the place. He was moving the cart for the soccer balls while you picked them up. Childe, of course, was being a piece of shit by teasing you as you went around the field.

“You wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid.” He laughs as you pick up the balls. “Projecting now, are we?” You replied, not backing down from his usual antics. “Just admit it, you have a stupid little crush on me. You should just leave me alone, you know.” He nudges your shoulder. “While I would love to do so, you and I are unfortunately stuck together while we’re still in season.” You groan.

“You’re annoying, you know that right?” “I’m doing nothing but helping you clear out the field, Jesus.” “Whatever, you just wanna stare at my eyes all night long.” He teases, and your face turns more sour as he continues talking. “It’s funny how you always get upset so easily.” He added.

“And it’s frustrating how you sound like a fucking frat boy that’s desperate.” “Says the girl who can’t take a joke?” He stopped rolling the cart and when you picked up a ball, you threw a ball in his direction, a little harder than you anticipated. Childe grunts as the soccer ball hits his stomach, and you laugh it off. 

“You trying to get me hurt or something?” He complains and you can’t help but feel bad. “Sorry, got caught up.” You say as you pick up more balls and shoot them to the cart. “God I hate you,” He replies. “Yeah of course you do.”

Once you and Childe gather all the soccer balls, both of you sigh in relief. All that’s left to do is to clear out the locker rooms and you can leave the field soon enough. The locker room was a mess, with scattered equipment here and there and some water bottles too. You start clearing the mess by starting with the trash.

“How the hell does everyone, even my own team, leave this place a mess.” You complain as you clean up. “Because we’re tired after training, is what it is,” Childe replies as he sees you struggle a little bit. “Need any help?”

“Just clear out the equipment over there.” You point at the scattered equipment and he nods as he starts to do what you asked. Feeling a little bit of awkwardness, Childe tries to stir up a conversation. “So uh, you going to the game of the other teams?” He asks hesitantly. “The others? I mean, they could never compete against us. Contrary to popular belief, I do believe you and your team are good.” You reply nonchalantly.

“Cocky, but seriously- you’re going?” He says as he puts back the last of the equipment. “Probably. Still need to look out for that one guy from Inazuma, looks promising.” “He is good, though he won’t have a chance to play considering he’s up against me and my team.” He laughs.

“Not unless my team wins first.” You say as you tie the last garbage bag. “Like you’ll actually win. I don’t know why you bother to try, honestly.” He rolls his eyes. “We may have lost last year but I swear this year is promising.” You reply as you remember last year’s finals. 

“And how will things be different this year?” He teases. “You know what, let's make a bet. If your team wins, I’ll do whatever you want.” He adds, and you turn to face him. “I gain nothing from that. No thanks.” You grab your bags and lock up with him beside you. 

“Psh you’re such a coward,” he laughs. “Who’s to say I don’t want something too? Let's just bet, come on captain.” Both of you were now walking out of the soccer field. “Excuse me?” You reply, staring at him in disbelief. “Did I stutter? If I win, have dinner with me. What’s so bad about that?” He smirks. 

“You’re unbelievable, fine! If my team wins you’ll do whatever I want and if you win I'll eat dinner with you.” You say, defeated. He just never seemed to back down even in things as foolish as this. Childe does a little victory dance and you scowl and cringe as you watch him do so. “Oh, you are SOOO on. If you lose, prepare for the best dinner of your life.” “Whatever you say, Ajax. Have a good night.” You reply as you reach the exit of the field. “Goodnight captain!” He says as he runs over to his car.

The night may be over, but things just got interesting.

As you drive back home, you can’t help but laugh off everything that just happened.

Childe was always a tease, and even in previous games you would notice his tenacious energy. Your casual banter with him before and after games was always a pain in the ass, but no one can complain, after all, you and his teams were the best out there. You’d eventually see each other and be the finalists every season. Now with a little bet placed, you can’t help but feel a little motivation to do better than before.

Why did Childe make the bet in the first place? You could only guess.

Notes: TEEHEE I felt so giddy writing this and I may or may not have another part already in the works... so if you guys actually want me to continue this ill post the next part soon enough >:) (also none of this is probably true to what soccer is but shhh for the sake of the story lets just say soccer does have equipment LMAO)

Black Out

A/N: Hi, so have approximately 500 words mild Chaeya angst based on my completely wrong guess of Childe's fate in 4.2 when all we had was leaks.

Basically I thought that humanoid looking boss was Childe fully taken over and corrupted by the Foul Legacy. And I ran with it. Have fun.

Childe had heard of what the Traveler can do. But even her purifying magic probably couldn’t reach him. If nothing else, if there was no coming from back this, at least she could help him go out with a bang.

He felt the beast’s anger. Clearly the traveler had hurt it enough that it decided it would do away with her. The whale opened its mouth and inhaled.

But she wasn’t the only one there.

The Legacy gave him one thing. It allowed him to see the world outside while still being trapped. Ajax felt his heart stop when he saw Kaeya standing next to the traveler.

He tried to scream for Kaeya to run away, to get as far from it, from him as possible. He didn’t want to even entertain the idea of this thing hurting him, let alone hurting Kaeya himself.

But there was nothing he could do as both Kaeya and Traveler were pulled into the void. And soon enough both of them were standing before him. Staring at him with seemingly no recognition. At least at first. Kaeya’s head tilted to the side, before his uncovered eye widened in horror. His sword nearly fell from his grip.

“…Ajax…?”

He cautiously took a step closer, raising his hand to caress Ajax’s face. Ajax begged, pleaded, for the Legacy not to attack him. And for one reason or another, it didn’t move. Kaeya’s hand made contact with the armor, Omni magic subtly flowing through his touch, in an effort to bring Ajax back.

“Is this…what’s supposed to be the fate of anyone who wields the Legacy…?”

Kaeya’s question was not a genuine one, Ajax knew that. It was a slowly mounting, horrible realization. He knew that this was supposed to be Ajax’s ending. And Ajax could tell, Kaeya wanted to reject it with every fiber of his vein.

Yet for as much as he wanted Kaeya to just leave him to waste away, somewhere deep inside himself, he wanted to call out for help. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could take the Legacy eating away at him. Already he thought it would be better to let the Traveler just kill him. But more than that, he wanted to see Kaeya with his own eyes again. He wanted to be with his family again. In a sense, he wanted Kaeya to be the knight to save him from himself.

How pathetic.

But in the end he chose to be childish. He chose to be selfish. Gathering whatever strength he had left, Ajax reached out.

On the outside, the abyssal warrior that stood before Kaeya and Lumine shivered. It raised an arm towards Kaeya, shaking. A voice spoke, yet not the one of the Abyss. One of someone he knew, someone he loved, in a similar sort of pain he only heard from him once before, and had never hoped to hear again.

“Kae…ya…"

"Help…me…”

"Finally im home" Childe said while opening the door of your shared home.

"Y/n! Im home!" Childe quickly took of his shoes and threw his coat on a randon corner.

"Y/n!" He looked around the house and found no one. "Y/n?" Now that he thinks of it, this house looks empty.

"Ha? Y/n! Where are you!?" His scream echoed through out the house.

"Y/n!" The worst possible thoughts running through his head.

He went out of the house panicking. He went to all the spots where you normally are. He was about to lose hope when he heard some villagers talking.

"Y/n is so pretty!"

"True, i wonder if she's single!"

"Yea i think she is, her boyfriend never came home so its probably safe to say she's single now"

Childe felt anger when he heard then say it, he wants to just kill them at the spot but finding you is more important than some low lifes. But he did take a mental note of their looks for later. But they did boost his hope. He went to the place where you two first met and he breathed out a sigh of relief. There you are in a beautiful flowy dress on a flower field. Your hair swaying along the wind and the sunlight shining on your face. You look beautiful, no scratch that you were breathtaking, beautiful and majestic.

Childe didn't go to you just yet, he wanted to cherish how stunning you look right now, well you're stunning all the time but this time.. Its different, you look even more beautiful than the day he left you crying on the door begging him to not take the mission for he may loose his life but of course he didn't listen.

He sneak up behind you and slowly snake his arms around you and rest his forehead on the back of your head. You didn't even flinch because you know him, you know that familiar warmth is from him. You put your hands on his hands, enjoying the moment with him like you two are the only peoe left on earth, no one else mattered now that you are reunited with him. You two didn't speak just embracing each others warmth. While the sun set in front of you two, the flowers gently flowing along with the wind. You love moments like this with him, it felt like all your burdens have been lifted. You squeezed his hands and with a smile painted on your kissable lips you told him.

"I love you, Ajax."

"I love you too, Y/n."

He was satisfied that you called him by his real name and not by his fake one.

He was satisfied to spend time with you.

He was satisfied that you were in his arms again.

He was satisfied with the moment.

He was satisfied.

just saw some kind of "childe daily/hourly" account on twt shitting on Ukrainians and belittling their suffering, because "they're white uwu" (and this wasn't the first time I saw this kind of behavior from genshin fans)

do I need to say that Childe is most likely based on Cossacks and has many ukrainian references? imagine loving character, but having zero respect to the culture AND REAL PEOPLE they are created on the basis of. fucking ridiculous if you ask me.

OK, so the scene of Childe floating with the Leviathan (presumably) over him was absolutely STUNNING...

but I also can't help but imagine him trying to somehow swim through the water to get close enough to fight it, and constantly being swept away every time the creature sweeps its tail or fins, wishing he still had his Hydro vision so he could maneuver better.

♡ Diluc would deny himself that feeling. He refuses to acknowledge his feelings until he realizes he’s been trying to see your smile often, making sure you got home safely. The moment he accepts his feelings, he won’t confess first. He hates going into things without being sure, so his refusal to confess first stems from the fact he’s scared you won’t reciprocate his feelings. When you do confess though, he’ll smile in disbelief and would be the first to initiate a hug. He would hesitate at first but when you wrapped your arms around him he hugged you even tighter. (I live for touch starved diluc and what about it)

“Kaveh waits and takes his time 'cause Little Miss Sunshine always thinks it's gonna rain”

♡ Kaveh slowly realizes it and wanted to make his confession worth it. He’d plan for months, carefully choosing the right way to confess to you because he doesn’t want to blow this opportunity away. While he thinks of the best way to confess, he realizes he loves you too much that he gets scared of that fact. He’d overthink, would you accept his feelings? Would you reject him? Will your friendship stay the same even after you reject him? That's why it took so long for him to say those three words to you; he was scared of the different ways it could go wrong. All his planning was thrown off the window when he just flat-out says it to you on a random Tuesday morning while the both of you were alone. He was flustered, shaking, and was about to turn the other way when you grabbed his hand to kiss him. He’d melt at your touch and smile brightly as the both of you kissed. (He’d totally ask you if you really do like him or did you just kiss him right after the whole ordeal)

“When Childe falls in love, it’s all on his face, hangs in the air like stars in outer space”

♡ Childe would quite literally not hide the fact he’s in love with you. Like he genuinely just wants you to know he loves you, but he would never rush you. He’s a gentleman, and he would wait for your answer, no matter how long it took. He would give specific gifts, like “I bought this for you because you said these were your favorite” kind of gift. He would be devastated if you rejected him, but so long as you let him express his love for you, it was enough for him. He makes sure all the time that you aren't uncomfortable with the things he does or the gifts he gives you. When you do answer him with a yes, he will absolutely carry you in his arms and kiss you softly. 

“When Itto falls in love, he’s in it for keeps; he won’t walk away unless he knows he absolutely has to leave”

♡ This man saw you once and knew you were the one, and he’s persistent. He would do the most embarrassing things to get your attention, like a small performance with his pals in the middle of the road. Despite his comedic stunts, he pulls you out of the crowd of people to let you know he’s absolutely serious about what he feels. He can’t really put it into words, so he puts it into action. He says sorry too for his public declaration of his feelings and would ask you to not feel obligated just because he did it publicly. “Just say it, and I swear I’ll stop. I’m a man of my word.” When you confessed that you were starting to like him, he would scream at the top of his lungs out of happiness and crush you lovingly with his hug.
