Okay, I have to be honest. Long Beach is no where near sweater weather, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get ready. Currently, we are experiencing close 100 degree weather during the day but at night it’s like whole other world. I love sweaters not because I am cold 99% of the time. Blame it on Iron Deficiency. Simply because they are the most comfortable pieces of clothing a woman can own. Especially the chunky ones. I’ve come to find out that Chucky and Oversized sweaters work in tall girls favor. The arms are constructed to where the fall longer than usual. Even the shoulder seams are dropped.

 Personally I like to keep a cute sweater handy for those places that favor AC (aka the classroom). Right now, I am falling for the chic chunky sweaters that give a little shoulder and feminine vibe with lace ups and bows. Don’t get me started on the deep V’s. So imagined when I spotted this cutie at a local clothing store during my daily grocery store excursion. Super geeked! The hard part was deciding to get it in this pink or olive. Well you can obviously see who won. Talk about the perfect sweater to wear around the house or on errand runs with a pair of skinnies and knee high boots.

Got Boybands?

Beatles, boys who cry, Boyz n motion, and big time rush has something in common and its not that all of them starts with the letter b, its that they are all iconic boy bands. boy bands been around for years swooning queens of all ages. Ever since one direction hiatus I thought boy bands were dead. I failed to realize that the boy bands didn't stop they are just overlooked so I'm here to point some out talk about them maybe help them get some more support I don't know.

I was going to save this for last but I will be distracted the whole time if I did. Prettymuch. woohoo! anyway my friend showed me "open arms" my attention was grabbed wig snatched I wasn't prepared for the beat to drop like that but it did so did my heart. I loved it. um, they make straight bops. from what I understand a lot of fans feels neglected by them. "where's the album" is a common saying by the BEANZ. BEANZ are the fans in the fandom. it stands for Brandon, Edwin, Austin, nick, and Zion. they are a pop group with a hip hop sound at times. all of them can sing. they don't always get the same amount parts on songs but all of them can sing. it was formed in 2017 by Simon Cowell. I'm going to try to describe each member of the group the best can. starting with Brandon Arreaga. born December 14th 1999. he is 19 years old (the youngest) he is from Texas. He is white and Mexican he is good just about everything. one of the best dancers in the group. my favorite vocalist in the group. he has a deeper richer tone in his voice but can easily go up an octave or two he is a sick producer. he seems like one of the leaders in the group. I think he sings the most out of all of them. it seems like he is constantly working on his craft which I love. he loves food. his runs are superior. next up is Edwin Honoret. Edwin was born Feb 12, 1999. he is from the Bronx. he is Dominican. first thing to come in mind is fashion. don't get it twisted they all got style but with Edwin its evident that fashion is his thing. he seems positive most of the time putting out positive messages through social media. sports is not his thing but skateboarding is. he has a higher tone of voice but not the highest pitch in the group. next is Austin porter. born Aug 14, 1997 in North Carolina. This 21 year old (oldest) is lit. he always seem to be energetic and upbeat. he paints a lot . he gets the least amount of singing time but he is a great singer . he has a deeper tone of voice as well. he likes rapping. he seems to be very family oriented. all of them do but I notice it more with Austin. he seems very talkative and could relate with just about anybody. Nick Mara is up. he is also 21. he was born Nov 8,1997 in new jersey. he is the best dancer. has the highest tone voice. he seems the most serious out of everybody but stills jokes around. he has crazy shoe game. he's just suave. last one is Zion Kuwonu. born June 29,1999. he is Canadian. he is tall. loves Fortnite. he probably the second most amount of times. I think he is talked about the most in the fandom. prettymuch symbolizes quality to me. things take time with this group. they have 13 songs but you can bump to all of them. their lyrics are great, all of them can dance, they have a hip hop feel to them, and their music is constant. I feel like their motto is quality over quantity and out of all of them I feel like they have the best chance to really break out. my favorite released song is healthy.(they have a bunch of unreleased music) my least favorite is Jell-O. don't get it twisted Jell-O is still a bop but not "the" bop. BLiND is their most recent bop released(01/25/19). that song slapped video made the song even better. I honestly didn't know that was possible but they proved me wrong. I like blind because everybody did their thing and everybody vocals had a shinning moment. also the video was an aesthetic within its self. their first song released is would you mind(07/21/17)

next group is why don't we. I don't know why don't we as well but they seem like more on the quantity side. I say this because they have the most amount of songs out of all of the boy bands but not all of them are bangers in my opinion. I feel like most of my friends cant get into them because they do occasionally have a childish sound and their songs don't have as much depth as other artist do. what I mean by this is a lot of their songs are repetitive and the only thing is different about them is the new person singing the same verse. they also cant dance, but here are the reasons why you should give them a chance. they are very stylish, they voices are very distinctive, and they have one of the best melodies when its a banger. the group started in 2016 and consist of jack Avery(19), Corbyn Besson (20), Jonah Marais (20), Daniel Seavey (19), Zach Herron (17).their fans are called limelight I want to know why but I don't know maybe something dealing with the first song taking you. the childish sound songs are like trust fund baby and these girls. 8 letters was the first song I heard by them (jack Avery stood out to me for some reason). my friend was talking how she couldn't get into them so I decided to do my research. 8 letters was decent but I had to see if they had more hits and they do but I had to dig deep. talk(fell in love with Daniel), something different(loved the beat and video was sick), into deep (fell in love with Zach's voice and the melody was nice), nobody gotta know (started to appreciate Zach even more and all to them together and melody was clean as well), choose (I loved it gave me 00s' Justin Timberlake vibes the beat was great and the melody was another hit), why don't we just (was a decent song seemed really repetitive but it was catchy), invitation (had a r&b feel to it was catchy and the video was funny), words I didn't say (it was cute), turn it off ( the melody was good), made for( I loved the beat and it was cute). I think they have 40 songs don't quote me. their latest song was big plans which was a banger released (01/16/19). their first song released was taking you (11/25/16)

next group is in real life. the were the winners of ABCs 2017 tv music contest boy band. the group consist of chance Perez(21) Brady Tutton (17) Michael Conor(19) drew Ramos (21) Sergio Calderon(18). All of their songs are catchy and has the typical pop boy band sound but with a . they have 7 released songs including 2 Christmas songs.one thing different about this group is that Michael Connor can rap. my favorite song is how badly and my least favorite is probably got me good (their most recent song released 09/06/18) its still a good song though. their first song released was eyes closed released 08/25/17.

4th ave consist of Mikey Jimenez (19), Marcus Pendleton(18), Jaden gray (17), cam Jackson (20) who all compete individually on the sow boy band with the members of in real life. all of them can really sing. their runs are crazy but I feel like cam and Jaden mastered them the best and Jaden has a wider range. this group pop/r&b group. Jaden and Marcus are my favorite because Jaden just seems very confident and its cool plus his vocals are mental, Marcus because he like the homie he can get lit but he seems like a chill guy who cracks jokes.4th ave can dance , its not extreme like prettymuches but its way better than why don't we or the other bands. they have 12 songs and a fire interlude including 5 holiday songs. my favorite song is probably 4 u(honestly all of their songs was my favorite at least once). my least favorite is probably exit. their first song released was xoxo (02/8/18) and their latest song released is us (01/25/19).

the next group is cnco. they are a latin boy band who are from the show called la banda (executive produced by Simon cowell). the group includes Joel pimental(19), Erick Brian colon (18), Christopher Velez Munoz (23), Richard Camacho (22), Zabdiel de jesus (21). i think they have 45 songs including the remixes. tan facil is their first song released (01/29/16) and their latest song released was hey dj the remix (11/9/18). Mala actitud id my favorite and mas alla is my least favorite.

new hope club is the next group. this band is a pop British trio. Blake Richardson(19),George smith(19),and Reece Bibby(20).

they have 14 songs. fixed being the first(05/05/17) and permission being the latest(02/01/19). i love their music and their feel. they have nice vocals and their songs has a vintage sound to it with rock tendencies. crazy is my fav amd tiger feet is my least favorite.

next town down is the next group on the list. NTD is a an r&b group with Malik Knighten(19), Terence Thomas (24), Trevon Water(22), Chris Louis(21),and Leon Outlaw jr(16). they have 8 songs but they spoil us with covers on youtube. their first song released was easy (05/11/18) my favorite song of theirs will have to be easy and the least is kissin on.

the last final group i will be mic lowry. they are a r&b band from liverpool. Delleile Ankrah, Akia Jones, Kaine Ofoeme, Ben Sharples, and Michael Welch embodies old school r&b with new school flare. They were formed 2011. tuxedo is their first song released 05/18/15. their latest song is Tesla 10/19/18. they have 16 released songs.

Let's Talk - A Cross Section of Askia's Mindset

Askia Karin; The Mysterious, crazy, daring and courageous Cameroonian Rapper. Askia Karin could be likened to a dare-devil - to an experimentative little child, who must first touch the fire to know that it hurts. I really like that! It's always that adventurous child in us that sends us on a journey of self-discovery and general awareness of our environment. HOW STANLEY ENOW CREATED LOCKO IN HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS(OPINION) Some people are better off self-learned than taught! Askia Karin seems to be one of such persons. Sometimes in life, the people who selflessly help us to become the better version of ourselves, are those we truly need! Being around judgemental people in most cases only end up building pressure with resultant consequences of low self-esteem on the part of the accused! For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory Askia Karin's storyline couldn't be written any different, but a diversified and mysterious personality that she portraits, couldn't be minimised to be viewed from one angle! In order to understand her mindset, you have to hold her up in your hand like a bottle so you can turn around to see from every angle.

I have carefully taken a trip down the memory lane, from her early days in Dirty South, Moloko; Buea, to the day at Berlyse when she portrayed herself as a prolific rapper. It was our usual nights out. My friends and I loved Berlyse because it was a dope spot......This night was different, El Swaggaric walked in with Askia. TIWA SAVAGE TO PERFORM ALONGSIDE CARDI B, MIGOS & MORE AT WIRELESS 2019 She wasn't the usual Askia Karin I had known. There and then, I caught the first glimpse of her morphism - she easily wowed us with her mic dexterity - leaving everyone spellbound. Askia Karin is a flip-side personality, at your very worst bet, you will pick a tail, and at your best, you get served the head! You can equally see her as a 9-6 kind of person. Depending on the position, you will sometimes see a nine like a six and other times, a six as a nine! Alpha Better Records once saw a nine in her, only to eventually change their stance that it was a six. 6 is a rebellious number, representing individuals who focused more on the outward than on the things that lie within them. 9, on the other hand, is a number for enlightenment, love, eternity,  and faith.

This article is intended to make Askia cry, laugh and most especially, to be proud of herself. No matter what we say or write, it will only end up representing a cross-section of her mindset. it has not been a bed of roses for her. It has been a thick and thin kind of thing. Her story, though being, only but a cross-section; is worth being told so we can epitomise the strength of a woman. Askia has been criticised for using hydroquinone, the active ingredient in skin bleaching creams to cheat nature. in her latest video, " Let's Talk", we can see some pure melanin dripping. As a strong woman that she is, she perceived her criticisms in the positive light and reacted by proving that she can be naturally beautiful, popping every drop of her precious melanin. I was thrilled, I was entertained and I was literally in tears listening and watching her latest video on Youtube. Let's Talk Is Deep! ZODWA WABANTU WOWS HER INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS WITH HER PANTYLESS PICTURES We can vividly recall, she dared Kamer male rappers on a Mob Deep beat. Some came on her and rained insults. Now, I see her reply in the lines of the lyrics of "Let's Talk". Give Guns to everybody for a fair fight. you can replace anything you take from someone but not their lives. Rather than spread good vibes, Y'all spread bullets; Cam for your house open fire then callam stray bullets. She called a spade a spade and not a big spoon! The title of the song is self-explanatory. No matter the outcome of the war, everything will end up on a dialogue table, so why can't we just get our asses down and talk? On that table, justice will be served and peace will reign. Let's give Askia a round of applause for this masterpiece. I'm ready for a talk, set the time and place, but I hope you don't come with a gun right to my face. One party is willing to talk, giving the other the upper hand to set the time and place, but again as treachery, as the other party can be, he will show up as customary with a gun. Guns down for a minute, let's pray for a better day! Giving the depth and courage Askia shown in this excellent song, I hereby add an additional feather on her red cap of fame. I hope those male rappers who poured out their minds on her via the proxy of her Mobb Deep beats challenge, will equally display the sizes of the balls by acknowledging her as the Queen. "Let's Talk came at the right time, We are all tired of the war, the casualties on both sides are outrageous. Home and abroad, nobody is left untouched and affected. So many lives have been lost, the means of livelihood of many households have been permanently extinct, businesses closed among others. Meet Adambi Mbango: Love, sex, Scandals and the Movies Some time ago, Salatiel and a host of other artists teamed up and did a  "We need peace" Song. It wasn't welcomed by their fans, nor by the agitated Anglophone population. Askia has single-handedly done it, in a 3 mins 25 seconds song, she wittily touched the most important points of the Anglophone crisis. Fans and other stakeholders are happy with her and the positive feedbacks are just so overwhelming!

So today I had an interview at The Webster. When I arrived I immediately recognized the assistant manager who was doing the interviews . He was a customer @ American apparel that kevin thought was gorgeous and couldn’t stop talking about. When I realized I was SHOOK. The interview went really well I believe. I really hope I get the opportunity for the second interview, I’m already doing my hw and practicing what to say. Everyone seemed over qualified which made me anxious but I pulled through and mentioned something’s where everyone was like “WOW”. After the interview I chilled at home for an Brief moment and went to work at UO. I dressed a little differently than I usually do wearing shorts and a huge oversized white tee with high top docs. I got a lot of compliments on them :-). I felt really happy today so I talked to a lot of customers and gave them a lot of assistance. Work in general ended up being a little crazy… I caught this one girl trying to steal a pair of sandals, as her friend was looking out. As soon as I started to approach the friend that was looking out and started acting sketchy. When I hovered over the girl she began struggling putting on the pair of sandals she owned. I immediately noticed her hoodie had an unusual shape and quickly changed my direction to see what it was. She had a fucking pair of sandals in her hoodie………… I asked what she was doing and she hesitated and mention how she wasn't stealing and she was just “holding” them?? Her friend kept asking me questions while I was interrogating. They ended up walking out shamefully and I felt accomplished. After work I went straight to Mia’s where I got ready for the night. We went to Floyd before lemon city’s warehouse party. It was pretty fun and the ‘vibe’ was interesting… seemed like the corner on steroids lol. We decided to check out lemon city before Skyler’s set @ 2 and honestly I had more fun there? Maybe because I was surrounded by gays where everyone didn’t give a fuck and understood me?? Idk Floyd had a mixed crowd and people kept staring at me which made me uncomfortable?? Mia wanted to go back to Floyd to see Skyler so we dipped out with Joel and Gen. we got to Floyd and as we walk we’re gettin compliments left n right binch…. so tell me how I go into floyd, see maki and she mentions she’s with Patrick and BENTLEY! The assistant manager that interviewed me earlier today???? Idk if this is a sign but we briefly talked. We ended up leaving around 3ish and on our way out we ran into Akia. That was basically it after that… now I’m home and it’s 5:26AM. Goodnight

Keeping Up with Mr. Jones..

Let me show you the Marcus Garvey-esque Akia Jones. At 17, and 6′-ft or taller, Akia looks more like the next Kobe, Jordan, or Shaq versus the next Picasso or Basquiat. But, he is an artist, indeed. Upon my arrival at his exhibition for his paintings at the Eubie Blake Center in Baltimore, I hardly knew what to expect. In fact, I was so tardy for his party, what I expected for him to be was gone. But, he was there in full glory, riding a joyful wave of good feelings that every artists (or winner) can identify with. I found him, a fun-loving yet extremely detail-oriented young man, in the center of the room holding his paintings, with a mass amount of people fluttering around him, congratulating him, admiring him, watching over him and taking pictures with him. His audience was so thick I actually had to get rude to get to him (I pushed some woman out of my way to get his full attention). However, a bit of drama is a small price to pay to the Arts & Culture Gods. Akia possesses traditional West African chocolate features and a winning smile. Already a businessman, with a hearty familial support system (20 plus members of his family were at his exhibition) Akia is destined for legend status in and out of Baltimore.  His work is light enough to bring positive vibes, yet heavy enough to evoke African consciousness and root worship. Something, about the appearance of this so-called boy, and his Anime’ inspired impressionistic artworks (Akia began illustrations first inspired by Pokemon) is quite relative and ancestral, to say the least, and it is also supernatural. Akia is one with West Baltimore, a place where the legendary Freddie Gray was crucified and had a building set ablaze in his glory, the Jubilee Arts Center is thriving, and a new energy and consciousness is growing. Akia’s next exhibition will be this month, February 11th at the Jubilee Arts Center in West Baltimore. Tell Somebody .
