La photo de Jean-Marie Perrier qui a servi il y a 2 ou 3 ans pour la Pub d’Eau Sauvage de Dior est une de celles que nous préférons de l’acteur.

Mais connaissez-vous l’histoire de cette photo ?

Dans le 13h de TF1, dimanche dernier, elle nous a été racontée en conclusion d’un petit reportage consacré à l’acteur. Vous allez être étonné, au moment où cette photo a été prise, le jeune Alain Delon était un parfait inconnu. Et oui, vous avez bien lu : « il était encore un parfait inconnu »… JM a dû « pirater » avec son iPhone ce passage pour le partager avec vous aujourd’hui, que les Hautes Autorités Télévisuelles le lui pardonnent.

Nous dédions ce Billet à notre amie Marlène (B.) qui avait fait une comparaison entre le physique d’Alain Delon et celui de Tom Cruise. Même si nous aimons beaucoup l’acteur américain et les films dans lesquels il a joué, mais là, franchement, c'est le cas de le dire, « y-a vraiment pas photo » !!!

La nuit du 21 (Triangle amoureux scout) Partie 1

Il va falloir découper cette histoire en plusieurs partie si on ne veut pas en perdre la substantifique moelle. Mon OTP va enfin avoir de la concurrence !

Tout commence quand Alain, un petit blondinet de seize ans, quitte la demeure familiale de ses parents bourgeois mais négligents. Il fuit un repas mondain organisé par sa mère et atterrit chez son ami, Jean-Luc…

…qui l’accueille torse nu… 

 …lui sert à boire…

…est au petit soin pour lui…

… et se félicite de ne pas être allé au cinéma avec ses parents  puisqu’il peut ainsi passer la soirée avec Alain. 

Ah ! Ça n’aura pas trainé ! 

Alain lui explique qu’il s’ennuyait et qu’il s’est donc arrêté chez lui alors qu’il arpentait les rues de Paris.

— Je ne m’en plains pas, redit-il doucement, puisque tu es venu me voir.

“Redit” car c’est effectivement la deuxième fois que Jean-Luc avoue être très heureux de le voir. 

Le garçon révisait sa philosophie et on comprend qu’il doit passer son bac aux rattrapages tout en préparant une excursion de camping prévue depuis longtemps (entre Alain et lui, bien sûr !)

Mais Alain avoue se sentir mélancolique et n’a pas envie de parler. Il décide donc de partir.

— En attenant, homme vertueux, je vais te laisser philosopher en paix !

— Oh, j’ai le temps tu sais, surtout pour ça !

J’ai du relire cette phrase parce qu’elle me semblait très ambigüe. Maintenant, je me demande pourquoi l’auteur ne l’a pas rendue plus claire et elle me semble encore plus ambigüe qu’avant !

— Quand est-ce que je te revois ?

— Quand tu voudras.

Jean-Luc m’a l’air on ne peut plus amoureux, mais Alain ne semble pas très concerné par l’intérêt que lui porte son ami. C’est bien malheureux.

Alain marchant donc toujours seul et sans but, se perd dans les rues et arrive dans un quartier peu recommandable (Créteil ! Au secours !) inquiet à l’idée que son allure de petit bourgeois ne lui attire des ennuis, il cherche son chemin sans y parvenir lorsque…

— Tu cherches quelque chose ?

Alain se retourna brusquement, et découvrit devant lui à la lueur de la devanture d’un coiffeur qui rasait encore, un garçon de son âge. Il avait des cheveux et des yeux très noirs, le teint mat, les mains dans les poches d’un short bleu en velours côtelé, une chemisette bleue également, largement ouverte sur une poitrine brune.

Le garçon charrie un peu Alain mais décide de l’aider à rejoindre la gare Montparnasse. Alain veut le remercier en lui offrant à boire mais son sauveur s’éclipse, non sans avoir donné son nom après qu’Alain ait insisté.

Et le lendemain…

Pourquoi le garçon de la nuit occupa-t-il si souvent la pensée d’Alain au cours de cette journée ? 

Et c’est parti pour trois paragraphes de “Oh ! Je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais je n’arrête pas de penser à lui !” 

Alain souhaitait le revoir. Cela, il le sentait nettement. Mais ce qu’il cherchait à découvrir, c’est la raison pour laquelle il désirait ce rapprochement. Il devinait qu’il existait quelque chose encore impossible à définir et s’en irritait un peu, comme de tout ce qu’il ne pouvait saisir d’emblée. C’était pourtant ridicule, un garçon dont il ne savait rien et qu’il ne reverrait sans doute jamais !

M’est avis que c’est sa sexualité qu’il a du mal à saisir d’emblée. M’enfin…

En tout cas, les parents d’Alain l’ont encore laissé tout seul et le garçon se sent abandonné, malgré la présence de la bonne qui s’occupe de lui comme d’une mère. Alain appelle Jean-Luc mais celui-ci ne répond pas au téléphone. Il décide donc de partir à nouveau se promener dehors.

… espérant rencontrer Michel, lui ou un autre.

Moui, il n’empêche qu’il retourne au dernier endroit où il avait rencontré Michel et se met à attendre…

espérant toujours voir apparaître Michel.

Le narrateur le précise à deux reprises dans la même page, au cas où on aurai oublié…

Pourquoi souhaitait-il tant le rencontrer ? Le garçon brun ne serait probablement qu’une déception après tant d’autres. 

Combien de déception, au juste, a-t-il connu ? Quelle genre de déception ? 

Je voudrais bien qu’on m’explique combien de fois ce genre de chose lui est arrivé. A-t-il déjà eu un coup de foudre ? Un béguin ? Pourquoi ne sait-on pas ? 

Je suis frustrée…

Et s’il allait dans son quartier ? Il repoussa cette idée…

Mais heureusement, Alain n’a pas besoin d’en venir à des mesures trop drastiques ni à harceler son béguin (une pratique scouts très courante d’après mes précédentes lectures) car il croisent Michel “par hasard”.

Mais bien sûr…

Le coeur battant, il dut attendre pour traverser et le rattraper un peu plus bas.

Il l’interpelle et l’autre, avec nonchalance, lui demande ce qu’il fait ici.

Alain rejeta sa mèche en arrière.

— Rien, je me balade… — Il rit un peu nerveusement — j’avais presque le pressentiment que j’allais te rencontrer.

Ce n’est pas un pressentiment, ça, mon petit ! Tu es retourné à l’endroit où tu l’avais vu pour la dernière fois en espérant de le revoir. De plus, tu ne te baladais pas vraiment puisque tu le cherchais ! Alors arrête de rire comme une jouvencelle !

Bref, Michel avoue s’ennuyer et Alain tente sa chance.

Alain baissa la tête, considéra l’extrémité de ses chaussures :

— Je veux dire, sourit-il à son tour, pas de rendez-vous “importants” ?

Il est en train de rougir c en lui demandant s’il a rendez-vous avec “quelqu’un”, comprenez quelqu’un d’important pour lui ?

Michel le regarda et passa sa main dans sa chevelure avec le geste qu’Alain avait remarqué la veille.

— Pas spécialement, répondit-il après un moment, comme s’il eut soupçonné une arrière-pensée chez son interlocuteur.

— Alors viens.

Et voilà ! Le premier rendez-vous !

Alain veut emmener Michel au cinéma mais ce dernier n’a pas d’argent, et Michel insiste en affirmant qu’il a déjà vu tous les films qu’il voulait voir. Il finit pas lui avouer qu’il aime la musique et ils se rendent dans un bar où ils prennent un coca et un perrier. Alain donne des pièces à Michel pour faire marcher le jukebox. S’en suit un silence gêné et Alain essaie de faire la conversation. Il apprend que Michel aime le jazz mais n’en tire rien d’autre. Les garçons n’arrivent pas à parler. Ils finissent par sortir.

— Je crois que je vais rentrer, fit Michel.

Alain ne répondit pas.

 Ils ne pouvaient pas se quitter comme cela… ou bien… il ne savait pas.

 Il demanda quand même :

— Demain, tu es libre ?

— Quand ?

— Dans la soirée.

Michel parut réfléchir.

— Je ne sais pas, ce n’est pas sûr.

Alain le regarda.

— Parce que… si tu le veux… on pourrait se revoir…

Ca dérangerait les auteurs d’être moins directs ? Parce que c’est difficile d’analyser des sous-entendus quand tout est volontairement trop explicite…

L’autre lui donne rendez-vous pour le lendemain, précisant tout de même qu’il ne viendrait peut-être pas, et s’en va. 

Alain est déçu. Tandis qu’il rentre, il songe qu’il a gâché sa soirée et regrette presque d’avoir insisté pou avoir un deuxième rendez-vous. Il songe à ne pas venir mais se dit que ce serait incorrect après avoir tant insisté. Il s’y rend par curiosité.

Cependant, Michel l’attend bel et bien, et Alain lui propose de monter dans son pick-up.

Michel est un peu récalcitrant. Je me demande bien pourquoi.

— Pourquoi pas dans un bistrot, alors ? Comme hier.

— Parce qu’on sera plus tranquille et que ce sera quand même plus sympa.

Je suis sans voix.

Michel a du mal à se décider, mais Alain veut vraiment le convaincre. 

Alain avait formulé sa proposition sans y penser. Il savait qu’il désirait se trouver seul en face du garçon, pour pouvoir lui parler, apprendre à le connaître. 

Il en profite pour lui dire qu’il a un projecteur et qu’ils pourront regarder des films. Michel accepte donc de se rendre chez-lui, puis s’inquiète que les parents d’Alain soit là. Ce dernier le rassure : ils seront bien seul.

Pour faire tout ce qu’ils veulent tranquillement…

Mais Alain est inquiet car il a l’impression qu’il n’a rien en commun avec Michel et qu’ils sont trop différents pour vraiment se comprendre. Il se ravise cependant bien vite.

Il regarda son compagnon à la dérobée et sans qu’il sût pourquoi, la confiance lui revint.

C’est l’amour qui parle, je vous le dit !

Arrivé chez Alain, le garçon installe son invité dans sa chambre. Ce dernier est un peu intimidé, lui qui vit dans un quartier pauvre, mais Alain parvient à le mettre à l’aise et se met à jouer au serveur pour l’amuser. Il lui apporter un jus de fruit frais et leur organise une séance de cinéma privée. Il met un vieux film de Mickey puis change la bobine pour en mettre une autre une fois terminé. 

Cependant, il en profite pour observer son invité et remarque qu’il a des dents très blanches.

Il lorgne donc sur sa bouche. Je note.

Alain se posa une fois de plus la question qu’il s’était posée cent fois déjà depuis la veille. Pourquoi souhaitait-il tant pouvoir s’entendre avec lui ?

J’ai une petite idée mais…

Minuit arrive et la soirée se termine. Alain lui propose de revenir le lendemain pour une nouvelle séance et ils se séparent ainsi.

Je vous ai dit que je n’avais lu que deux chapitres et que j’ai tu certains passages tout aussi explicites sous peine de copier tout le livre ?

Que tout ceci est encourageant ! J’ai hâte de voir la réaction de Jean-Luc…

Thank You FilmStruck

As a film lover, I am absolutely distraught that FilmStruck’s swan song is in seven days. The creativity and passion used when putting films on the streaming site was absolutely apparent and for a film lover, it was refreshing.

This streaming service has been great in introducing me to films I would have never even thought of watching. So, as my ode to FilmStruck, I am going to list the top 15 films that I watched on the service that touched me in some way or another (and it was so hard just to pick 15). 

So here are my top 15 films that I watched on FilmStruck that I think everyone should check out and they are in no particular order:

1. Norma Rae (1979) - Starring Sally Field, Beau Bridges, and Don Leibman

Sally Field plays a single mother who helps unionize the textile factory she works at, even though there is great risk and danger involved. 

Why you should watch it: Sally Field is so inspiring as Norma Rae! She absolutely deserved the Oscar she won for that role. Also, girl power and unionizing is awesome!!

2. Bicycle Thieves (1948) - Starring Lamberto Maggiorani and Enzo Staiola

A working-class family man has his bicycle stolen, which  he needs for the job he finally got in depressed post-War World II Italy. Thus, he takes his son on his journey to find his bicycle. 

Why you should watch it: This story is such a heartbreakingly beautiful tale. The emotion that both Maggiorani and Staiola convey really help the audience feel their pain. The film also takes you all over the streets of Italy, which is fantastic. 

3. The Crowd (1928) - Starring James Murray and Eleanor Boardman

The story of a man and woman who fall in love and get married. However, the husband’s unhappiness with their small apartment, being a small fish in a big pond, and his in-laws disapproval could be the downfall of their marriage.

Why you should watch it: Even though this film is from the 1920s, some of the concepts can be placed in any time period. The situations that the husband and wife go through could happen to any working-class family. Also, King Vidor did some amazing directing and some of the shots he set up are just spectacular. 

4. La Notte (1961) - Starring Jeanne Moreau, Marcello Mastroianni, and Monica Vitti

A married couple’s deteriorating marriage is magnified through one day and one night. The two flirt with other people and have to truly realize their personal problems.

Why you should watch it: Michaelangelo Antonioni does a brilliant job in capturing this couple and their unraveling relationship. Also Mastroianni and Moreau are fantastic as the couple. Not all movies have the happiest of endings, but that is what makes them, and this film, so realistic. Life isn’t always happiness.

5. The Nights of Cabiria (1957) - Starring Guiletta Masina, Francois Perrier, and Franca Marzi

A prostitute desperately wants love, but all she gets from men is extreme heartbreak. 

Why you should watch it: Guiletta Masina is FANTASTIC as Cabiria! Oh my gosh, she is so good at making Cabiria a sympathetic character. Also, who doesn’t love a good story about a hooker with a heart of gold?

6. What’s Up, Doc? (1972) - Starring Ryan O’Neal, Barbara Streisand, and Madeline Kahn

A zany Screwball Comedy that involves 4 plaid bags that all contain different contents. Each bag is important in its own way and causes so much confusion, it’s hysterical.

Why you should watch it: This movie is so zany. That is the only way to describe it. Barbara Streisand and Ryan O’Neal are great at comedy! And this is Madeline Kahn’s first feature film! I also never realized there were Screwball Comedies made in the ‘70s.

7. Le Samourai (1967) - Starring Alain Delon, Francois Perier, and Nathalie Delon

A professional hit man makes a hit but has witnesses. He tries his best to make an alibi for himself, but ends up getting entangled in the web of his witnesses. 

Why you should watch it: This film is badass! Even though it is French, this film has major Japanese Samurai film influences! Also, it was my first introduction to the amazing Alain Delon and he is such a fantastic actor.  

8. Shadows (1958) - Starring Ben Carruthers, Leila Goldoni, and Hugh Hurd

It’s the Beat-era in New York! Jazz is used throughout the film to help explore interracial relationships and friendships. 

Why you should watch it: This is John Cassavetes’s directorial debut and he uses jazz and jump shots to give us a feeling of the fast paced life the characters are living. Also this film was made in the late ‘50s and was absolutely revolutionary for its time. No one wanted to honestly address racism, and Cassavetes (who is a white man) is very honest about the subject. 

9. Sunflower (1970) - Starring Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni

An Italian couple gets married right before WWII. The husband gets drafted and never comes home. The wife goes on a journey to find him and realizes he is still alive, in Russia, living a new life.

Why you should watch it: This film WILL break your heart. But if a film doesn’t make you feel any emotion, then what’s the point of watching it? Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni are magnificent in this film! Also the cinematography is breathtaking. Audiences witness Italy and Russia as if they are there. 

10. History Is Made at Night (1937) - Starring Jean Arthur, Charles Boyer, and Leo Carillo

A divorcee falls in love with a French man but her insanely jealous ex-husband will spare no measure to keep her from moving on.

Why you should watch it: This film has Charles Boyer at his best. He portrays charm, silliness, and determination so well. Also Colin Clive is so sinister as the ex-husband, he is the best antagonist. Jean Arthur is vulnerable as the woman who wants to be free. There is also a great bit with a hand with a face drawn on it.

11. He Who Gets Slapped (1924) - Starring Lon Chaney, Norma Shearer, and John Gilbert

A professor is betrayed by a count and leaves his old life to become a clown. He then tries to save a young woman he loves from falling into the count’s web.

Why you should watch it: Lon Chaney will break your heart. He does such a good job at playing a clown who seems to always be smiling, but in reality is in so much emotional pain. Also Norma Shearer and John Gilbert together are absolutely electric. They are both so young and so good looking.

12. Belle de Jour (1967) - Starring Catherine Deneuve, Jean Sorel, and Michel Piccoli

A frigid housewife takes a daytime job as a prostitute. 

Why you should watch it: This movie is wild!! The housewife who won’t even touch her husband becoming a prostitute? That’s such a randomly satisfying story line. Also, Deneuve’s Severine has very interesting dreams that blur reality and fantasy. 

13. Cluny Brown (1946) - Starring Jennifer Jones, Charles Boyer, and Peter Lawford

Cluny Brown is a parlor maid who just wants to be a plumber. When she meets Czech refugee Adam Belinski, their zany shenanigans shake up an English village. 

Why you should watch it: Jennifer Jones is perfect as Cluny! She plays her with a naivety that is just refreshing and funny. Charles Boyer as Professor Belinski is great too because he is a man of great knowledge who isn’t afraid to be unconventional. It also hilarious seeing Cluny fix plumbing problems.

14. Keep Your Powder Dry (1945) - Starring Lana Turner, Laraine Day, and Susan Peters

Three very different women try to adjust to their lives in the Women’s Army Corps. 

Why you should watch it: A lot of WWII films talk about men in the army. This film is one of two that I know of that talk about the women in the army. It is also interesting to see the three different women who have to tolerate each other in such close quarters. Also, I like seeing Lana Turner in a role that is not super dramatic and her being someone’s love interest the whole film. 

15. Too Bad She’s Bad (1955) - Starring Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni and Vittorio De Sica 

A young thief and her accomplices try to steal a cab driver’s cab. However, the cab driver, the thief, and her thieving family just can’t seem to stay away from each other.

Why you should watch it: Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni in a COMEDY? Yes, I will have seconds. I love their comedic timing together. Also, there are so many shenanigans in this film that are just fantastic to watch unravel.

CHAPTER ONE.

It was a very busy night in Dallas. The Stars are beating the Nashville Predators to enter the second round of the Stanley cup and I’m entering on my fourth hour of tattooing this big master piece on the back on my client. I’ve enjoyed every single minute with client who didn’t even move and not even a single complaint came out of my client mouth. The thing that I’ve enjoyed the most with him is all the stories that he was telling me. It’s nice to have this connection with a client and feel that the trust is there at 100%. It’s we known each other since ever and sometimes, it’s like he really knows me. A lot of memories are coming back with his stories and at some point, I wanted to let out some tears out because just like him, family is very important. I’ve gave up on so many people when I decided to go on my own way and try to found out who I really am. When I started to shadow around in tattoo shops, I’ve never in life knew that being a tattoo artist would’ve been my future. It’s not easy to found success when you constantly moving around. To be honest, I didn’t know in what I was going into. The fear of being homeless and always feel of regretting those bad choices was always a nightmare. I eventually found my way and got back on track with a mentor who found me on Instagram. Social media was my only hope. Posting new content everyday so I’d make sure that people are getting my attention, it was exhausting. I’m grateful to work for my mentor. Learning from him was all the stars in the sky. It was a blessing and a life saver for me. I even can’t believe that I also won on Ink Master last year. Seeing my face on the cover of Ink Magazine was like a rush in my veins. It was like I was hit by lightning. There’s so many positive things who is coming in my way and all of that makes me happy.

I was almost at the end of the session. It’s a good thing we are closing late because even if we started early, I wanted to make sure that this master piece has all the right detail in it to impress who ever will notice this massive back tattoo. I’ve always love the Greek mythology, the Egyptians and my favorite of all are the Vikings. My origins are from Russia with my great grandfather who ran from the World War II. My grandmother always had a pleasure to tell us stories about him and sometimes she will speak Russian just for us to feel how important it was for us to know where we come from. I’ve learn to speak this foreign language with her teachings. I was pretty much the only one in the family who had the determination to learn Russian and the people around me are surprise to hear that actually. I think it’s important to speak more than one or 2 languages because now a days, everything we know is needed to save our asses. I miss my grandmother very much. In a few weeks I will surprise her for her birthday and I just wish that she will be happy to see me. I know that I being here in Dallas didn’t quite make my family happy and especially my friends, but I was not happy where I was. I was not being myself what so ever and also starting to be very depress. The only person who understood that was my best friend Lindsay. We know each other since were in kinder garden and we are pretty much like sisters. Nothing can pull us a part and even if I’m not in Ottawa anymore, we always found a way to see each other and spend some good quality time with one another and the fact that no one know that I’m coming for my grandmother 80th birthday, that’s will be very special.

 I led back on my chair and looked at this amazing tattoo that I’ve spend almost 2 weeks to make. My client didn’t wanted to have anyone else then me to work on that project. I was very happy to see how good this tattoo was and I’ve took numerous pictures of it after cleaning the excess of blood on his back. Seeing the joy and the excitement of client was my biggest reword of all, but what surprised me the most was how generous he was. I was almost speechless to see all the money he gave me for my work. I didn’t even realize that he gave me is phone number under 2 100 dollar bills. This guy is the most unpredictable and he always has something different every single day. I might call him cuz’ he’s kinda cute, but he’s a little bit too much and what I mean by too much is that he looks like a douche bag. I kept that thought for me because I don’t wanna desrecptful in regards my clients. I some tattoo artist who doesn’t give a shit sometimes and that’s just too much for me to handle when I’m hearing them swearing against the clients and sometimes for them sky is the limit and I will never tolerate bullies. I wrap up my client to make sure that he doesn’t get stuck on is shirt. I almost went through the half of my Vaseline jar with that back tattoo. I got surprise with a little kiss on my cheek before he when out of the tattoo shop. This job will always surprise me.

I was finally out of the shop. I set up the alarm so we don’t have any surprises in the middle of night and I decide to go take a drink at the bar to relax a little. I’m not a drinker, but a beer doesn’t hurt once in a while. I went home to change first. My apartment was at 5 minutes max from the shop and this place was perfect for me. I enjoy those big windows who brings the natural lights inside. I enjoy the high ceilings who make the place bigger and I also love the fact that it’s a big open space who regroups my living room, my kitchen and dining room. The only rooms who are closed are my bedroom and my bathroom, but other than that, everything is great here. I took a quick shower and change clothes before I when out. I was wearing a long black shirt with high white socks with 2 black strips on the top with Vans shoes on feet. The stop at the half of my thigh so everyone can see my big tattoo on my right thigh. I put my hair in a big flashy red pony tail and added just a bit of makeup to not look to zombie. I decided to go to the most popular bar downtown in Dallas where usually we can see big popular names hanging around there. I’ve been twice to this bar and there’s a very good vibe over there. The music and liquor is quite good so it’s a must to go hangout there. I took a Uber to go to the bar. I need to be at least responsible for myself and not being a stupid brat and make an accident. I gave him a good tip before I went in the bar. It was crowded with so many people and I heard that the Dallas Stars are supposed to come by tonight for a little party. I wanted to take only one drink and leave, but I think I will stay for a little bit longer and have some fun.

  I’ve stop counting all the drinks I had received over the past 15 minutes and I needed to refuse some of them because I didn’t wanted to be wasted if by any chance I met a celebrity or a hockey player. I’ve probably hurt somebodies feelings by rejection, but to be honest I needed to say NO. Some people doesn’t take NO for an answer but hey, I’m not interested to have childish people around me in a grown ass man body. I order a Perrier water battle to change a little bit. That will also help with my headache who is slowly starting to take effect on me, but it’s not this annoying little pressure on my forehead who will stop me to have some fun. I was surprise to see my boss here tonight. I caught his eye at the end of the bar with a girl who was totally on to him. He notice me with a little smirk on is lips and I roll my eyes while shaking my head with a smile on my face. Well damn, he is such a womanizer and I hope his wife is not around tonight. Farrah is a real pain in the ass to be honest. When I started to work with Alain, she was pretty much accusing me of pushing her away from her husband. Since I told her what I was really thinking about her behavior, now she totally respect’s me and also respect’s the engagement I have with Alain in our work space environment. I still think that she’s a lot to handle tho’ but I think with good communication and respect, we can work something out without a cat fight. The crowd started to be more agitated. The arrival of the Dallas Stars with the cheers of the crowd broth an enormous vibe of good energy here and it was nice to see how everyone cares about that team. My heart will always be with the Ottawa Senators, but it’s awesome to see this wave of love for them. I’ve joined the crowd and cheer with them to encourage the team. This night will be promising and with the awesome job I did at the shop earlier, I think I will spoil myself tonight.

Il a également été directeur général de Global Macro-Trading Group du Crédit Suisse à Londres, entre 1995 et 2008, après avoir occupé la même fonction au sein de JP Morgan Chase & Co. Il a aussi travaillé, entre 1989 et 1994, pour la Chemical Bank à Paris et à New York, où il est devenu vice-Président, en charge du trading et des ventes.
