going from the high concept deeply sentimental fantasy drama that was late moffat who to the extremely 2000s campy but surprisingly dark teen scifi program that was early rtd who is a TRIP. i cannot stress enough that i don’t mean this as a criticism, i love series 1 and nine, but it is an Experience to go straight from one extreme to the other.
