In which Zim disappears for a decade.

This looks like such garbage, but this has been sitting in my head for a month and I needed it OUT OF ME!!!!

...Something's kinda hitting me, guys. I think something just clicked.

So we all know that BB!DOTC is the arc I'm not staying faithful to, right? A lot of characters are getting total overhauls? I'd actually been dancing pretty heavily around the pro-colonialism themes in the original text, simply because I don't really feel comfortable handling them (same with certain sexual themes, it's not great for my mental health to force myself to engage with certain elements that are triggering)

So I'd made it so there was Park Cats (Wind Coalition and River Kingdom) who arrived relatively recently, and Tribe Cats (Sky's Clan, Shadow's Clan) who nestle into an unclaimed spot in the forest. All groups roughly equal in power until Thunder's Clan which was existing in defiance.

But Clanmew isn't JUST comprised of Parkmew and Tribemew-- there's a third contributor. Old Townmew, which mixes with Parkmew and forms Middle Townmew, mixing again with Clanmew to create Modern Townmew.

Since I'm now really thinking about the colonialism themes, especially in my re-read where it starts reaching its narrative conclusion in Books 5 and 6... I think I need to add that 3rd cultural group. I need to make them a player. I think I'm doing a serious disservice by only having the Park Cats, Tribe Cats, and then saying all others mostly lived in the town.

I'm gonna do a BB!Brokenstar with Slash. Previously I'd just cut him completely-- but I think I should, instead, walk him back from being "Pure Evil" like he is in-canon and make him into a real character.

One Eye's a god drawn to the festering stink and rot of the First Battle; Slash is a mortal, leading a group like any other in the Forest Territories.

I think I'm also going to significantly bump up the time the Park Cats have been in this territory. Slash and his cats have been fighting them for years, and until the Mountain Cat influx, were basically spread through most of the Forest.

So, who's gayer? Vaggie "I regrew body parts out of love" or Marina "Not even Nintendo can censor me"?

I think Marina and Charlie would have a LOVELY chat together, i think Charlie "started a hotel to help her people regain their humanity and have a better life" and Marina "built a virtual reality to help her people regain their lost memories and sense of self" would gush so hard over each other, be so happy for each other over Sir Pentious and Dedf1sh / Acht, would join in most epic hand grip of understanding and respect the universe has ever seen-

i think Marina "used to only spend TWO hours talking to herself about machines" and Charlie "will sing whole arias to herself and make a stick note wall of madness trying to sort out her thoughts" would also have A Lot To Chat About-

Earlier today I realized, much to my horror, that I've never drawn Daphne in my favourite era of hers

Gotta adore this look! The blazer? The more prominent amount of green? The simplistic style and smart, elegant vibe? Just drop-dead gorgeous

Oh and I've always loved her blue eyes, I mean no hate for Mystery Incorporated show but purple eyes for character that wears purple? really? (Also that Daphne was kinda meh in general if you ask me idk)

TODAY WAS THE DAY INVADER ZIM PREMIERED !!!!! 💚🩷⭐👽

I made art for this special day. Although the art has nothing to do with today's anniversary, it represents how long these two idiots have been at each other's throats. Ever since 2001, they've been at it and we've been cherishing it dearly.

Since the first moment I laid my eyes on this eccentric children's show, I have been completely hooked. And even in the year 2024, my love for it hangs around, strong as ever. This program has surprisingly helped me get through some truly challenging times, and whether you like it or not, it has become a source of comfort and a special interest for me. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share my admiration for it with all of you here, and the support and kindness that I have received from this community has truly brightened up my days. It brings me great joy to see that we are still a thriving community of wonderful individuals, and I would like to extend my warmest wishes to everyone on this special anniversary.

this awoke a dark part of me that had 100 scene kid ocs in like 2008. i think it would be funny if the two teens in the party who were not even alive during the scene kid craze (al and trish) went to the hot topic car or something

Been reading a lot of Invader Zim fics lately and I absolutely adore when they touch on the Enter The Florpus event and run with the idea Zim ended up inadvertently killing the Tallest at the end. And how he would feel about that, the denial/grief/aimlessness it might cause him. It’s such a good concept am always thrilled when it’s in a fic. Even if it’s just a little brief section to explain why Zim and Dib started growing closer.

I'm not even close to kidding anymore; I think drawing iz stuff is helping me draw more loosely and avoid getting burned out. I had so much fun drawing Gaz!! It was wild "designing" a character after the challenge that was zim. Features wise, she takes after dib/dad, so I was basically just playing dress up with her. And you know what? She can have a little outfit variation, as a treat. (The big skull earrings are clashing and creating all sorts of tangents with her face framing hair thingies, but OH WELL!!!)
