regret was easier in theory, rising above was easier in theory. the unfortunate thing about theory is that it often left vilkas' brain simmering with too many ' what if's. how he could have done things differently, what would have been the better scenario by the end of it. outwardly he could stand by his decisions quite stubbornly, but internally...? well, things got a bit more complicated.

perhaps he hadn't been careful enough with his allusions to regret, his questioning of the twisting paths that had led them this far. as the years passed, he could not help but wonder how they would be remembered. what sort of light would be shone upon them when they died. would they be remembered as heroes or beasts? how long before someone saw them as they were, saw beyond the narrative they didn't write.

vilkas' shoulders drop as he sinks into his chair, meeting aela's gaze from across the table. they had spent most of the night nestled in the corner of some unremarkable tavern, drinking unremarkable ale. it hardly held a flame to the drinks back home, but it did the job while they were passing through this forgettable town. ( he would be glad when they got back on the road, he thinks. )

" You're right, I suppose. Mistakes make man, " though he doesn't seem entirely convinced, his brow is still knotted together in thought. His voice drops & he leans a bit closer. maybe he ought to hold his tongue, but it was a night for sentiment, wasn't it? " But sometimes I feel like the rules are different for us. Our mistakes aren't just ours, they aren't always so individual. "

it was difficult to trade his sentiments with others, but it was always a bit easier when it was someone who may understand. stubborn as she was, aela was not without reason. their conversation had taken many twists & turns, skipping past the perceived mistakes that he usually couldn't pay attention to. his mouth feels too dry & so he sips at his drink, letting her words settle in the space between them. they should be comforting & they almost are, but vilkas' mind is not so quick to rest.

Risti adopted Sophie from Windhelm in todays Skyrim adventures, so i imagine Farkas just feels like they’re speedrunning the whole family thing. He’s ok with it, he just needs to take the girls to Whiterun to meet everyone as siblings.

AKA Vilkas deadpanning that Risti just couldn’t help collecting children while Farkas nods and they both don’t pay attention to Aela showing the girls how to shoot a bow. Because its good to know, and also its better than Farkas trying to do it since he’s way worse.

Also i keep collecting pelts so im just imagining the house is full of the warmest people in the fucking country. Cold? Just haul out another snowbear pelt, why not.

That said Sophie is still learning the routine. Lucia is just like “Mom comes and goes real fast some times. You have to ask dad to play tag with us. Mom has things to DO” “So does dad, though?” “Yeah, but he takes us to Jorvaskr if we’re good. Mom can’t take us with her because she’s fighting dragons and undead monsters and--” “So does dad!” “Sis, listen. That’s ALL she does. She goes, she does things, and then she comes back for a week. If she’s back at random times, or has someone with her, she’s in a hurry. We get a quick ‘love you’ and we stay out of her way.” “But... what if she doesn’t come back?” “.... she always comes back.” “But.” “Then dad goes tearing through all of skyrim until he finds her beating up a troll with her bare hands, brings her home, and we have pie.” “Lucia.” “She’s the harbinger, Sophie! And the dragonborn! Not even dragons can kill her, its ok. You don’t have to worry.” A moment of thought. “And we can still play tag together until mom comes home, anyway.” “Promise?” “Of course!”

Farkas thinks its sweet they’re worried, but also does NOT say he’s worried about Risti too a good chunk of the time. Fingers crossed that once the war and the dragons are dealt with/over, they have more time to just... be a family. Also because he misses snuggling through snowstorms with her, add on that he doesn’t have werewolf bodyheat anymore and its doubled.

She knew summoning a dremora would be a really, really, really, catastrophically, suicidally, incomprehensibly dumb thing to do, but when a girl is at the end of her resources, running barefoot through two feet of snow, and has four warriors, one of them a spellsword, on her tail, what else is she to do?

Farkas stepped between Aela and the swinging greatsword of the Silver Hand warrior and caught the blade on the downward stroke just in time to hear Aela snarl a curse at him, but he shrugged it off and kicked the man in the stomach, sending him reeling back.

The eighteen year old apprentice mage stood alone in the otherwise empty stone chamber and drew in a long, slow breath.

“Ben?” The small, skinny seven year old looked up from where he sat on an old stump in his mother’s herb and vegetable garden.

Eadwyn rose from a stoop by the side of the plank he had been rough-trimming with the blade of the axe in his hand, and frowned.

The door to Dr. Seward’s study flung back off the wall and Quinn barely caught it in time before it collided with his shoulder as he burst out, “It nearly happened again, John. I —”

She might very well have been a good deal warmer with the car’s sputtering little heater cranked all the way up, but the scent of pines and the crisp, mountain air beyond was too delicious to shut out after what felt like years of recycled office air and polluted city streets.

The usual whispering stillness of the library rushed in on him the moment the huge wooden doors swung shut behind him with a soft click.

“Welcome to Markarth. Safest city in the reach,” the guard chimed proudly as Lein trudged up the stairs to the massive stone gates.

Seems like it’s either a cold open with dialogue or a nice bit of verbose purple prose to set the scene... 😬

Most Used Weapon(s): Daedric war axe OR Dragonbone battle axe. Tei technically has both on them at all times during adventuring, alongside a shield, so which they used depends on the situation/which they grab fastest.

Combat Style: Two/One-handed tank. Main tactic is to rush in, cause as much damage/chaos as possible to shake up the opponent, & clean up what the ranged attackers of the party (usually Rumarin, Inigo and/or Lucien) weren't able to deal with.

Armor Type / Level In It: HEAVY ARMOR BABYYYYY (Level 100 + 35 extra points via enchantments)

# of Training Sessions: 99 in-game, lore wise its a lot of self-teaching/keeping their skills learned from Hammerfell sharp. Some of these are magic but lore-wise this doesn't happen cus Tei is not a magic user, save for shouts. I just did those in-game for exp OR so I can help Lucien raise his magic skills :'D

Who Taught Them?: In-game?? Fuuuck so many npcs. Lore-wise? They learned this from their schooling in Hammerfell, going off the canon-lore that it's p much expected for everyone to have a grasp on combat & weaponry! Though they did learn a few things from Kaidan & Anum-La.

Favorite Enemy Type: Dragons! Despite the fact Tei does not have the best magic resistance, it's one hell of a challenge they love to meet.

Least Favorite Enemy Type: Automatons, because of a bad experience with them as a child. Also Undead, because they were raised not to disturb them & it just feels so wrong having to fight them/go into tombs.

Where Are They At In The Questline?: Main quest is done bcus i dont like seeing unfinished quests in my journal lmao. Tei's involvement is completely different from canon though in my take. Moreso was hired as a guard for the expedition & was, unwillingly, dragged into the rest of the mess. Is not offered the Archmage position, that went straight to Tolfdir.

Opinions on Magical Guilds (Arcane University, Winterhold, Psijics, Synod, Radiant Dark, etc.): As they get older, they tolerate the guild & magic users more n more, BUT, Tei grew up in an environment that frowns upon the practice of magic, & it shows. They mainly mistrust necromancers/illusionists & still hold onto that belief that reliance on magic, especially for combat, is a weakness.

Bold words for someone with shit magic resistance.

For...?: Unfortunately they did not stand down when they were being falsely accused of murder in Markarth. First time Tei called down dragons (Sahrotaar, specifically, Tei managed to get command of Miraak's dragons post-Dragonborn) to absolutely smite some fools.

Current Bounty: None! They're good at not getting caught/threatening and/or bribing guards. :)

How Devout Are They?: Tei is rather devout, esp to their Yokudan patrons, praying or making offerings daily. They aren't the type to really push it in your face though, but have no issues answering questions one might have.

How Do They Feel About Talos Worship?: Deep down they acknowledge & admit trying to ban worship is terrible, but....Tei also lets their bias/experience with Windhelm, the Stormcloaks & especially Ulfric kinda cloud over this. If the Nords want their old ways so damn much, why fight for a divine from the Imperial Cult? Why not go back to the actual old ways? No, this isn't about worship, not to the men leading this so-called rebellion, they just needed something other than their racist bullshit to fool the common man into throwing their lives away for the nobles sitting comfortable in their thrones.

Also during their whole thing of getting into their role of dragonborn, they get a bonus 'fuck this dude actually' towards Talos, Ysmir, whatever the fuck he calls himself. (tldr; it sucks but good luck hearing Tei say that fully)

Gray-Mane or Battle-Born?: Neither, ask them again they will punch you for the love of Ruptga they get asked that every time they enter Whiterun.

Stormcloaks or Imperials?: Also neither, Tei hates em both n think they can all choke. Unfortunately they were forced to join the latter due to, yknow, calling dragons & causing massive damage in Imperial territories during isolated fits of rage and the group being more aggressive in wanting something in return for "letting it slide"....oops

Opinion on the Thalmor?: Oh absolutely despises them, they loudly complained having to work with them during the CW & would go out their way to disrupt their plans/piss them off. Sneaking was an option they did not take during the Embassy quest, if it helps paint the picture.

Opinion Of Ulfric Stormcloak?: Tei doens't say they hate people often...but they sure as hell hate Ulfric. Again, their experience in Windhelm added to this heavily, how both the Dunmer & Argonians were treated like shit, with no help whatsoever from the Jarl or guards when the local Nords targeted them. It's still up in the air if I keep this for Tei's story, but I have it where they knew Chases-Starlight's parents, who were killed. When Tei went up & demanded justice/an investigation, only to be brushed off because it "wasn't a priority," it completely destroyed what little empathy or hope they had left for Windhelm as a whole.

Opinion of The Empire?: Cowards too weak to continue fighting back against the Thalmor, in their opinion, & holds these views they grew up with even when being strong-armed into aiding them. If anything they're at least attempting to use their influence to hint towards a rebellion against the Thalmor, but the Empire could also full-on dissolve & they could give less of a shit.

How Are They Doing? Need Some Juice? A Nap? A Hug?: The whole event of Blood of Kings has fucked with their head, to say the least. It's the starting point of Tei's eventual spiral. So uh...yeah they're not sure how they're doing everything they knew about reality was kinda challenged & they don't rlly have anyone to talk to about it so its cool, its fine, its all good.

WIP Cameo Reblog game!

Hi friends! Quarantine has been a lonely time for me personally so I decided to start a little reblog game-I’m going to tag people simply for visibility but ideally if you see this post, you can just reblog and answer. How it works: there’s a prompt and you answer it with your WIPs (link them if applicable) and reblog! Here it goes:

Congrats! Your book has been adapted into a movie or show! What background character are you going to play for your cameo? Also what visual medium would best suit your book?

The Island: I’d probably cameo as an Islander or a protestor in Act 3. 

The Quasi Immortal Trilogy: This is hard because there’s not a lot of background ‘extras’. It really revolves around the main cast and the person they’re saving. So the first person they save is a burlesque dancer so I’d probably cameo as the choreographer’s assistant or the show director since I am a dancer. 

The Accursed: I’d cameo as one of the nurses in Phoebe’s psych ward. Or one of Jules’ customer, getting my fortune read. 

Anthropogene: I think it depends how old I am when this book gets adopted because it’s set in high school. So if I’m still in my early 20s, I could probably get away with cameo-ing as a highschooler with one dumb, throwaway line haha. If I’m older, I’d probably play a teacher or one of Mason’s or Ash’s neighbors since the setting is in the suburbs.

Two Headcannons you have for your Muse:

Aerisif cannot cook. Not even a little. She knows whats safe to grab off the trail. She knows what berries will kill you and which ones wont. But combining these things into something else? Impossible. Cooking meat? Hope you like it charred, or raw. Her mother tried to teach her when she was young, but Aerisif would just get so confused.

Despite her mother’s talents, Aerisif never picked up Alchemy or Magic. She doesn’t know that she possess some natural magica abilities due to her blood. And while Aerisif knows plenty about the properties of the ingredients to be found in the wild, she never pursued the study of learning how to combine them. Probably because its too much like cooking.

Reading! Aerisif loves books and collects as many as she can. 

Listening. Its one of the best ways to learn things, especially things you’re not supposed to. But also, the way people talk about their interests or other people says a lot about them and Aerisif picks up on that.

Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6?

Right away? I kinda had Kassandra sleeping her way across Ancient Greece with almost all the ladies (caught on to Diona right away though and I’m forever glad about that), so it was always going to happen. But as for why I see them as more of a relationship... idk. They’re just really sweet, and I enjoyed Roxana’s quests.

Have you ever read a fic about 2?

Nope. I did, however, get an art print as gift once from a friend, with Clarke and a bi flag and Lexa with a rainbow flag. It’s this piece to be exact, though they don’t seem to sell it anymore? The artist does have a ton of other lgbtq+ ship art on their redbubble page (including other Clexa pieces, and they also did some of my fave Finnpoe pieces which I did not know was by the same artist, so there you go) if you’re interested.

If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?

I mean.... Corvo is technically a widower.... so we’ve already had the tragedy start within the first ten minutes of the first game.

Why is 1 so important?

Because it was my first Mass Effect ship, because Liara is so cute and bad ass and just!!! The journey they go on? My heart. I love them so much. Also a Shiara fic was the first ship I read on ao3 a long time ago so that’s also a bonus.

Which one has the strongest bond?

Pricefield. While they all have amazing bonds in their own ways, Max literally bent time and space to keep Chloe safe on multiple occasions. She didn’t even recognize Chloe right away, but her first use of her powers was to save her best friend. Chloe would also literally throw down for Max at any point, and she talks about how having Max back in her life for a single week made her feel the happiest she’d been in a long time, and that’s despite all of the shit they went through together. Like!!!!!! Please 

How many times have you read/watched 10′s fandom?

I literally still watch the trailers/documentary for Hellblade on a frequent basis. You can guess from there.

Relatively. By the end of the game, she has come into acceptance of her pain & grief, but like.... she’s not insta cured or something. And then in Hellblade 2 it seems like she’s ready to fuck everyone up so.... no, it’s not canon enough :(

If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?

I’ll have to agree that it’d depend. If things like magic, biotics, the Thu’um or Max’s powers, etc, are included uhhh... well, that makes it super tough. Again, Solas has godlike magic at his hands and can turn everyone to stone without trying now apparently, but Max can literally rewind time, the DB has their own form of godlike powers (Tiber legit remade the geography of an entire province, and that’s just his accomplishments), Kassandra is a demigod, Morgana one of the most powerful sorceresses ever, Serana’s a powerful vampire, Aela a dang werewolf, and Liara one of the strongest biotics. Senua also has Gramr.

Take all of that away though and... still kinda tough. Kass, Roxana, Lexa, and Senua are all really strong warriors. Corvo’s an elite assassin, Aela is a good hunter, Shepard a soldier who passed some of the hardest levels of training.... dude, this is too hard. Who tf knows.

Lanariel Surana - Anjali Bhimani

I’ve always imagined Lana’s voice is bright, but also with the ability to be subdued and soothing when she wants. A voice where she can be loud and mouthy, but turn around and coo softly to someone she cares for. Something in Anjali’s voice just clicked for me when I was listening to that vid once with her and Chloe and here we are, lmao.

Rylee Tabris - Cara Gee (à la Camina Drummer in The Expanse)

There’s nothing soft about Rylee. She has a rough, throaty voice that commands attention when she speaks no matter how loud or soft she is. I also love the idea of city elves sounding distinct from the humans. Not like the Dalish, but there’d be this pride, almost, to not lose your “elfy-ness” and start sounding like a shem. Tbh part of it is also that she brings a nice counterpoint to Ise’s bright, lilting voice.

Isethari Mahariel - Joanna Page

Ise’s voice is very bright, high, and... distinct to her. There’s usually a sing-song tone behind her words when she’s in a good mood. It can drive her companions crazy at times, but she still manages to bring a sunshine mood wherever she goes.

Eleri Cousland - Alex Wilton Regan (à la the femquisitor in Inquisition)

This one has taken me forever and a half to fucking figure out. Eleri has such a, idk, distinct voice in  my head I guess that’s made it difficult to pin down an actual voice about it. But something about Alex’s performance as the Inquisitor just feels so much more accurate to Eleri that anyone else I’ve found. I actually tossed around the idea of it being like Rebecca Ford in how she portrays the Lotus in Warframe. There’s a similar... tenor? I guess? To their voices that just fits Eleri. She doesn’t have a higher pitched voice, but it’s also not overly low and sits right in that space between.

Rayna Hawke - Jamie Murray & Ashley Hawke - Jo Wyatt

Can’t get away from the default voice for Ashley. It’s just... her to me, but also why I felt Rayna needed a voice all her own, but still something somewhat similar. Her voice, however, is definitely on the more haughty side compared to Ash. Where Ashley usually sounds bright and playful (and flirty), Rayna often sounds like she’s talking down her nose at people (she kinda is tho, to be fair).

Inquisition

Olivia le Blanc - Chloe Hollings

Being from Orlais, I naturally wanted to have someone that sounded French for Olivia, but not too French. Olivia’s been away from home for quite a while and her accent has definitely faded (except when she gets angry, then it suddenly pops up again and usually it’s quite thick an accent at that point, too). While she can carry a commanding tone if she desires, her voice is much more soft and subdued than most expect of her - not just because of her templar background, but her position as Inquisitor. A few nobles have even commented on how honeyed her voice was after meetings with her.

Nathra Lavellan  - Paula Burrows (à la Rayla in The Dragon Prince)

She has that Dalish sound, that accent, but not as strong as, saaay, Ise. It’s an accent she picked up from her parents, and one that fades in and out at times the more she’s around the Inquisition. Her voice is generally pretty mellow and soothing.

Anika Ramsey  - Shirley Manson

Anika always has been, and always will sound blatantly from Starkhaven, lol. Something about Shirley’s voice just seems right for Anika to me, I dunno. There’s kinda this warmth to it? And that’s definitely something key to Anika being the warm and nurturing type she generally is.

Talonia Adaar -  Shohreh Aghdashloo

Tal has somewhat of a lower toned voice, and she’s more on the soft spoken side. There’s a roughness around the edges, some of it from simple disuse - she doesn’t talk much and when she does there’s a frayed sound around the edges. Shohreh’s distinct voice just... something about it seems to work for Tal unlike anyone else I’ve been able to find.

The Greybeards Named me. Where I grew up, earning a Name meant you were worth something, so I adopted it wholeheartedly.

I have two lovers, but I don’t consider myself “taken.” I don’t belong to anyone but myself.

...I’m a Dragonborn. I kill dragons and absorb their power, which is mostly yelling at things, to be truthful.

I’m afraid I’ve no idea what that means but your tone implies I should set you on fire.

Violet. Yes, I know it’s unusual. I would have preferred blue or brown, to be honest.

Red. Apparently both my hair and eye color come from the Dunmer side of my family, and so look unusual on a human. Again, I would have preferred something less noticeable.

Oh, yes! I have seven children, and I consider my housecarl, Lydia, and my friend Inigo to be family as well. As for my birth family...I have a sister still alive somewhere, I hope.

We have a little farm with chickens and a cow, Shags. I have a few horses, though I just lost my favorite, Jughead, to magical anomalies. What on Nirn does that mean? *looks at list of definitions, raising eyebrows* You people have a lot of ways of describing things. I suppose I’d be a “heterosexual polyromantic.” I do not wish to place all my affections and needs on one person, just as I wouldn’t want them to put all their affections and needs on me if I wasn’t equipped to meet them.

I went to the College of Winterhold for a time, but left after I attained my mastery in Destruction and Conjuration.

I have children already, thank you, and I’d rather avoid the concept of marriage altogether.

Quite a few. Lydia, Serana, Inigo, and Aela are probably my closest ones, though. Farkas and Vilkas as well, though things are a bit awkward with Vilkas yet. I’m not sure he’ll ever forgive me for loving Miraak.

...It’s very efficient? Are we talking dessert pies, hand pies, meat pies? They’re sort of a staple of the diet here in Skyrim. Some I loath, some I’d eat several days a week. It really depends.

I enjoy Colovian Brandy, but it’s difficult to come by.

I don’t really have one. The idea of a favorite place invokes a sense of peace and comfort, but I can find that in many places in many moments. I suppose, then, my favorite place would be wherever my family is.

NAME:   Pellediir NICKNAME: Pelle, Sibs, Peaches GENDER:    Male ROMANTIC  ORIENTATION:  sfzgvbuihOP let;s go with homoflexible?  PREFERRED  PET  NAMES:   N/A   RELATIONSHIP  STATUS:   Verse dependant FAVOURITE  CANON  SHIP( S ): Dorian Pavus FAVORITE  NON-CANON  SHIP( S ):   hmm I mean I haven’t shipped him around that much(though I would love to do it a bit more!)  but I would say one of my favorite non canon ships is with @ofpyrrhics​ Harlequin Lavellan.  OPINION  ON  TRUE  LOVE:  He struggles with his feelings about true love to be honest. He feels that true love is not always what it we think it might be. That it might be a powerful emotion that lasts for that fleeting moment, but fades away once the ecstasy that stems from the idea of being in love is gone. There have been times where he thought he was meant for someone, but it wasn’t meant to be. If it was they would still be with him. He doesn’t mean to be cynical but he thinks it is foolish to believe in true love with the mentality that it means you will never be apart from your love. You don’t know what the future holds for either you or the person you love, to assume that true love will keep you together is a silly notion in his opinion. 

OPINION  ON  LOVE  AT  FIRST  SIGHT:  He thinks it entirely possible to fall in love with someone upon first glance, though not the way many people think. You don’t fall in love entirely, just a small bit. You might fall in love with a person’s appearance, or in other cases their spirit. 

HOW  ‘ROMANTIC’  ARE  THEY:  He can be quite oblivious to romance at first. Coming from his side he isn’t a very obvious person when it comes to affection. Though when he feels comfortable around someone he is seeing he can be very intimate in a lot more than a sexual way.  IDEAL  PHYSICAL  TRAITS:  Pelle will not pursue a person based on their physical appearance, he pursues people based upon their personality type--muscles IDEAL  PERSONALITY  TRAITS:   Pelle is very attracted to confidence. Whether it be genuine confidence, or even just grandstanding he is always into it.  Other traits he likes to see in possible partners is kindness, consideration for others around him, and an ability to hold a conversation with him.  UNATTRACTIVE  PHYSICAL  TRAITS:   Surprisingly despite being rather small himself, he isn’t that attracted to other small people ironically. Though once again if he likes someone and feels a romantic attachment to them he won’t disregard it because they’re also small  UNATTRACTIVE  PERSONALITY  TRAITS:  Aggressive, Ignorant, Unwilling to listen IDEAL  DATE:   Somewhere he can be alone with them is ideal. He likes to get to know someone in a more private setting where he can just focus on that person without the distractions of the outside world.  DO  THEY  HAVE  A  TYPE:   People who can snap him like a toothpick but choose to show restraint. Also over confident assholes who have a secret soft side. He really likes to get to know someone from the inside out. Appreciate them both from the outside that they show to the world, but also that private and recluse side of themselves that they keep hidden. He likes to see and understand the spirit of people, and he often finds people who seem to have it all together or that boast of a very obvious strength often hide the most beautiful and fascinating secrets.  AVERAGE  RELATIONSHIP  LENGTH:   The longest relationship he’s been in lasted four years while the shortest would be a few days (and honestly they hardly count as they were damn near one night stands) His second longest relationship lasted for about six to eight months. If he had his way he likes to remain with someone for as long as possible unless he is convinced things wont work out.  PREFERRED  NON-SEXUAL  INTIMACY:  Holding hands, lying in bed together, feet touching, hair brushing, reading to people.  COMMITMENT  LEVEL:  Pelle is always committed to his partners. He had a small point in his life where he participated in flings with people to stem the misery he found himself but it never gave him any sense of fulfillment. It just made him feel lonelier,so he stopped. Now he won’t pursue someone unless he feels like they might really be good for each other. Regardless of how long the relationship lasts he is always committed to that person wholeheartedly. 

OPINION  OF  PUBLIC  AFFECTION:   So this really really depends on just how public we are talking. While he is a more private person when it comes to showing any serious affection to someone, he has no issue with kissing, hugging, or holding hands with a partner in front of other people. However, more personal things he usually would prefer to do where no one else is around.....but at the same time growing up Dalish it was impossible to not do things like that without it being somewhat public since tents don’t do much for hiding noise and the wilderness was technically a public area. 

So in a way he doesn’t mind it--if he is almost positive they’re not going to get caught.  PAST  RELATIONSHIPS: He was in a relationship with the Keeper’s granddaughter Aela from the time he was 16 years old, up until their forced separation when he was twenty. After her untimely death he was cast into an overwhelming sadness in which he had several short and unsatisfying relationships with people whom some of them he doesn’t even remember as the interaction was so quick that it seemed to move in a blur. These relationships typically included some of the refugees who sought refuge in the clan that occasionally flirted with him, or perhaps someone from his clan. About a year prior to Inquisition, he was in a relationship with a young nobleman wandering the wilderness on an exhibition to study foreign medicine in an attempt to impress his university in Orlais. His name was Mikael and while neither him nor Pelle would openly admit to their intimate relationship with one another, it was still there. The relationship was never formally terminated as it was never formally acknowledged thanks to Pelle’s wish to keep it quiet. When Mikael returned to Orlais after concluding his research, the two of them no longer saw each other. Simple as that.

Things about my Dovahkiins

A recent convo with @mrninjapineapple reminded me of this unfinished thing.

I started this questionnaire around March 28th, 2015 and it’s been sitting in my sta.sh unfinished for so long that I forgot who tagged me to do this.

Looking back, it’s quite a silly list of questions, and I originally wanted to scrap the whole thing, but I liked some of my answers, so here it is. You can compare the personalities of my different Dragonborns by their answers.

2. Do you know why you were named that? Z: No. [After a horse called Cinnia, because I thought it sounded unique.] Y: I was named after an old hero and I inherited my fathers family name too. [It was formed from parts of my name, "rág" & "Vir"] C: Yes, I named myself. [And it sounded cool!] N: No, I was too little to ask it by the time and later I was already used to it. [Because he was created on 6th of December, the day of Saint Nicholas (Mikulás in our country)] S: I don't really care about it, it's just a name... [it was formed from a part of my name, "s Virág" sounding "shwirag", with different spelling] 3. Are you single or taken? Z: Taken. Y: Taken. C: Single? I'm unique! N: Was taken. S: Single. 4. Have any abilities or powers? Z: I'm the Dragonborn and a werewolf and I have an ability called Ancestor's wrath Y: I'm the Dragonborn and a werewolf. C: I'm a Volkihar vampire N: Not that I know of, other than still being alive. S: I can go berserk answering such questions. 5. Stop being a Mary-Sue! Z: I do have a bunch of titles, but this one, I never heard of... Y: Isn't that a female name? C: Why should I? N: Silly... S: You mean Shu, right? 6. What's your eye color? Z: Pitch black. Y: Somewhere between blue and green. C: White with a red pupil. Originally my pupil was light blue. N: Green as an emerald. S: It's red. The other one's blind. 7. How about hair color? Z: It's almost black. Y: Some kind of blonde. C: Hair? Phew, filthy thing! I have beautiful horns! N: It was brownish, now it's grey. S: Brown. 8. Have you any family members? Z: A husband and adopted daughters. My parents are dead. Y: I have a wife and adopted kids. My sister and her son died during his birth. C: No, and I'm happy about it. N: I had. S: I adopted a daughter, but I haven't found true love yet. 9. Oh? How about pets? Z: I love horses and I have four: Arvak, Blaze, Frost and Shadowmere. My daughter's pet fox, Vix sometimes lets me cuddle her. Y: I'm a dog man. C: I don't know the Dead Thrall perk yet. Pity. N: I like animals, but I don't want to attach anyone again. S: I have a good horse. I don't need useless critters around me. 10. That's cool, I guess. Now tell me about something you don't like. Z: The Blades. Y: Unnecessary friction. C: Werewolves, Vigilants of Stendarr and the Silver Hand. N: Boots. S: Dragons. 11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? Z: Reading. I have a library of around three hundred books. Y: I like to sing (though some say that I shouldn't) and listen to the bards. C: I tend to drink guard's blood in Riften. Broad daylight. N: I like to craft jewellery. S: Exploring the vast wilderness of Skyrim. 12. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? Z: Pretty much. Bandits, creatures, some people. But I only regret some of them. Y: Yes, and he deserved it. He was the reason why my sister died. C: Most possible ways, yes. N: I did, but I wish I shouldn't have. I'm not afraid to protect myself, though. S: I gladly smash in anyone's faces, who deserves it. 13. Ever... killed anyone before? Z: I did. Most time I followed orders, but sometimes for my own good. Y: To name the most important: the usurper Ulfric Stormcloak. C: With pleasure. Also, I need hearts and flesh for crafting. N: Same as Q12. S: It was me or them. No question. 14. What kind of animal are you? Z: I'm a werewolf. And the Dragonborn. Y: I'm a werewolf. C: I'm beastfolk, not animal. I should shed your blood for this question. N: I always considered myself a small and peaceful creature, therefore a squirrel, I guess? S: Orcs are no animals. Oh, you mean metaphorically? I'm a sabrecat. 15. Name your worst habits? Z: Hoarding stuff. Especially ingredients and books. Y: I tend to be hot headed and sometimes I regret things. C: In others eyes, killing for my own amusement is one. N: I tend to be melancholic. S: Smashing in faces. 16. Do you look up to anyone at all? Z: Talos. Y: Sometimes, but they mostly prove they were unworthy to it. Sad. C: No. N: Quite a number of people, yes. S: My mother, Shuzhra was the greatest personality ever. I miss her. 17. Are you gay, straight, or bisexual? Z: Straight. Y: Straight. C: I'm not picky. N: I always thought I was straight, but now I'm not that sure... S: Straight-in-your-face, what kind of unashamed question is this? 18. Do you go to school? Z: No, but I learn new tricks on a weekly basis! Y: No, I'm old enough. C: I never needed school to achieve my goals... N: No, but you are never too old to learn! S: I don't need that, unless it's about potions or fighting! 19. Ever wanna marry and have kids one day? Z: Already married, first child is on his way! Y: I already am, and that second... would be good. C: I don't think so. No kids. Never. N: I had a beautiful wife and daughter, but they both died long ago. Now I'm searching for my grandson! S: Maybe... maybe not. 20. Do you have fangirls/fanboys? Z: I don't know. Maybe. [She’s just modest, she has some.] Y: I... have? C: Of course. N: If I have, that's cool. S: I don't need such admiration. 21. What are you most afraid of? Z: That something happens with my family or with those who I care about. Y: Having to fight those who I called my friends once. C: The Sun. Hiss. N: Bonding. S: That I hurt someone who’s not deserving. 22. What do you usually wear? Z: Light armor crafted by myself and a hood. Y: Heavy armor without helmet, or a helmet which doesn't cover my face. I need my foes to know who bested them. C: Light armor with dark tones, hood, sabatoons, veil or scarf and a mask to hide my teeth. N: Plain clothing. I was dressed in burlap clothing with bare feet before the Sparrows made it cool. No, I'm not a religious fanatic. Does it mean I'm a hipster? S: Blades armor with a Greybeard cloak, to shorten the cooldown of my Shouts when I kill dragons. 23. What's one food that tempts you? Z: Most kind of sweets. Y: Milk. C: Hehe. Blood, my dear. N: Elves ear. My favourite spice. S: Dried venison. 24. Am I annoying you? Z: No, these questions are interesting. The game gives the height of the character compared to the average. Different races and sexes have different base values. (e.g. Nord males are 1,03, while Khajiit women are 0,95) I headcanonned the average to be 175 cm (5’74). If you think the average Skyrim player character has a different height value, it modifies my calculation (also, sorry, my brain works in centimeters ))
