What do the first element holders look like in your au?

aH took me a hot minute to get around to this but i did it >:3

the first element wielders of equestria (technically before the founding of equestria) they were known as the elements of harmony, they first elements of harmony. but also some refer to the as ‘The First gifts’

i changed a little bit of some of their lore story

Princess Bluebelle, one of The First’s alicorn creations. Bluebelle is a kind being who had great patience and cared for all who patroned her house. She learned not just Unicorn magic but excelled in learning the biology of pegasus and earth pony magic and how to harness and further their growth as a society from helping the weather and nature and plant growth.

Bluebelle was close with The First, often receiving visits from her.

She also was the closest thing to a friend Equnity had (as Equnity didn’t like to make friends).

Bluebelle was gifted Philomena by The First, the phoenix stayed by her side until the end and now lives on as Celestia’s companion. the bird that has lived since the beginning of time.

After The First no longer was around Bluebelle led the elements and took on being pseudo leader of the alicorns, often training and helping them figure out what to do with their powers and how to help out disputes within their house’s.

Bluebelle became teachers for many ponies over the centuries. She personally trained Starswirl the bearded and Gusty the great.

She also helped guide and train Celestia and Luna alongside Starswirl. Starswirl was their main teacher but Bluebelle would step in to help from another alicorns perspective. The sisters adored Bluebelle.

Her Elemental artifact is her wand, the first gift that was given to her by patreons that wasn’t money or food.

Butterscotch, the element of kindness.

A pegasus who grew up in the clouds of a typical pegasus tribe who acted much to that of a military. Everyone was ready to fight and looked down on the land dwellers. Buttercotch was sweet to the bone and hated fighting and openly despised the way they let their society had become.

Butterscotch was banished from the clouds, the other Pegasus claiming her to be too weak and that her soft spot for the land ponies would be her downfall.

Joining the other ponies on the ground she met Minty, a pegasus born on the ground. The two traveled together from then on.

Butterscotch and her companion would appear in neutral towns and spreed their word of friendship and ideals that the three races could and should work together for the better of the future. Butterscotch would make treats for the foals, play music and be the general life of the party.

Later on Butterscotch would return to the pegasus tribes, or meet with pegasus leaders on neutral ground and try many time to push for pegasus to integrate with ground pony society and vice versa. that staying in the clouds only held them back.

to simply put it, this was always met with a solid ‘not going to happen’. this put Butterscotch and Commander Hurricane at odds with one another a lot, causing many fights between the two.

however private Pansy who worked under Hurricane couldn’t agree more with what Butterscotch said, her words growing Pansy’s animosity toward Hurricane. Pansy gave Butterscoth her scarf as a token of appreciation, for all the inspiration she brought her. That scarf became Butterscotch’s famous elemental artifact.

Minty, one of very few pegasus born on the ground. Nearly all pegasus at this point in time had solely stuck to the sky, only coming down to diplomatic meetings, scouting territory, and fighting.

One of Minty’s parents was a pegasus who left the tribe of pegasus, unhappy with how their society had become. fell in love with an earth pony and the two had their only daughter Minty.

At a young age she met Clover the Clever, at the time was just Clover the unicorn that Minty met. Clover, a unicorn daughter of an important unicorn diplomat, traveling with her parent for important meetings in a town far away. Minty had simply wandered too far off collecting clovers and looking for a four leafed one.

the two met and became friends for the short time they would know each other, gifting Minty her artifact of a pressed clover. It isnt long until their parents find them and get into a fight. the event left them both children traumatized as they had to face the reality of the world they lived in and the danger minty face when she stepped outside of her village.

minty grew into a scholarly teen, she still goofed off but she adored reading and writing and learning. she formed a knack for making speeches. She often would sneak off to taverns and inn that were marked as neutral zones to give long speeches or read her poetry, often time ruffling others feathers with the things she said. this came with the stress of her parents worried that bold words might have a pony turn to violence and harm her.

none the less she braves on, leaving home when she is old enough, setting up wherever she can on her soap box and talking her heart out until she is run out. Later meeting Butterscotch and working together, then meeting The First who is touched by their want to connect and bring ponies together.

Minty is named the element of laughter, and was able to reunite with Clover the Clever who now trained under starswirl the bearded.

Blossom, a mute earth pony who came from a large family who owned many acres of land full of lush greenery. fields of plants, trees of fruit and ect. Blossom lost one of her parents when she was a small baby and the other when she was older.

She tends to all the lands by herself everyday. only making it because of her generosity. she allowed any pony to come to her land, they could eat what they needed, stay and rest as long as they wanted, all for free so long as they didn’t start fights. this led to many ponies showing up and staying in the safety of her lands and to help pay her back many ponies would saddle up and tend to the fields along side her.

Blossom felt she was never without family as she almost always had ponies by her side, eating dinner with her and helping her out. She was happy and everyone adored her, often referring to her as ‘aunt blossom’ or even nicknames calling her mom.

Not to mention that she didn’t put up with anyone shit, if anyone started fights on her land she sure as hell was the one to finish them and they would know not to come back on her land. and ponies lovED it, they loved knowing this older mare was able to totally kick ass.

Blossom met Cotton Candy when the filly was a young child, loving and chipper as any child could possibly be. Blossom adored her and acted as like a big sister/aunt/mother to cotton candy.

Blossom became the element of Generosity, the locket her parents left her as her artifact.

Cotton Candy, itty bitty pony. sweet and cute as can be.

not much is known of her unlike the other. she is the youngest element wielder in the history of the elements. She was orphaned under unknown reasons (some speculate she may have been born an earth pony while having non earth pony parents, something very rare but possible)

She met The First very young, like a 7 year old wandering around on a trail down the country road. The First took the young pony with her, knowing just what to do with her. Bringing her to Blossom’s orchard, a safe haven for ponies with land to run through, food to eat and a roof over her head.

Blossom and Cotton Candy took to each other immediately, like to to their sides Cotton Candy stayed with Blossom for years and despite her side beginning expresses being grateful that it brought her to Blossom.

Cotton Candy has some eating problems and the only time you will find her not within a 10 foot radius of Blossom is if she found some nice flowers to snack on.

Cotton Candy became the element of Loyalty and was the first pony to officially write down information about the elements of harmony, even watched the first transfer of its power from them the original wielders to a new generation. all of this done at the end of her life.

Snuzzle, a GIANt beautiful pony.

Sweet, kind, and polite. everyone she grew up around loved her. she had a very typical up bringing as an earth pony, helping out how she could as she was born blind. she worked to develop the first form of braille in equestria as a way for her to make and have notes for her within her own community.

She didn’t consider herself someone who disliked the pegasus and unicorns but didn’t quite seem to grow up with an opinion on their separation of the fighting that happened. she was the type to say ‘its just how the world is’. Not changing or understanding the impact of the things happening in the land around her, until The First arrived. She traveled with two pegasus, Minty and Butterscotch who showed great kindness to the earth ponies who only acted boorish and impolite to the pegasi. listening to what they had to say and seeing how her own family and friend treated them was a wake up call.

Snuzzle chose to leave her village behind and travel with The First, she wanted to learn all she could by the wise Alicorns side.

She spent years at her side learning so many, traveling far and wide and meeting so many ponies. she became a better person and loved the friends she made through her long years.

Snuzzel was there when Equnity corrupted and became darkness, she was one of the few who noticed something was wrong with the foal. Poking around and finding out that Equnity was unhappy and messing in dark messy magic. Snuzzel was at the site when Equnity changed, and she was there when The First made the decision to make herself the elements, trusting that she could bring the ponies together and make a better world.

Snuzzle misses The First and struggled to find her place in the world once again.

she made her home the now abandoned house of seasons. she built her home and family here which would later be the mark of where ponyville layed.

snuzzel would be visited by her friends and fellow element wielders and even by the young sisters of celestia and luna who would later make their first castle here.

Some time later, Fluttershy and Twilight had just finished putting up all their flyers.

Twilight: Well, that looks like the last of them!

Fluttershy: I sure hope Keira’s art show goes over well.

Twilight: For both her and I’s sake, so do I...

Just as the two were getting ready to go back to Pinkie Pie to see how she was doing, a familiar face walked by.

Heartistry: Oh! Good afternoon, Twilight!

Twilight: Heartistry! Long time no see! Everything alright?

Heartistry: Compared to last time, much better.

Fluttershy: Um... Twilight? You never told me there was another alicorn princess?

Twilight: Actually, she’s not a princess at all!

Heartistry: Though I have to admit, that’s rather flattering that you’d think of me as such.

Heartistry chuckled before she continued to speak.

Heartistry: But no. I’m just a case of a pony fusion, I guess you could say. My mom’s a pegasus and my dad’s a unicorn. Through whatever source of magic or whatever, I just happened to get both traits.

Twilight: Heartistry, I forgot to mention. This here is Fluttershy, one of Keira and I’s friends.

Fluttershy greeted Heartistry in her typical manner, to which Heartistry replied back with a grin.

Heartistry: I’m kind of curious though. What brings you all the way out here? I kind of thought you’d have princess things to work on.

Twilight: Actually, we’re setting up flyer’s for an art show Keira’s holding!

Heartistry: Oh, yeah! I seen she was doing that. I picked up a flyer earlier from Pinkie! Boy, does she know how to get a crowd going!

Twilight: She certainly does. So, do you plan on going to it? Being some pony that’s also into art, I imagine you’d be excited to go!

Fluttershy: But it’s okay if you don’t want to, too. We’re just trying to help Keira.

Heartistry: Are you kidding? And miss a chance to show every pony what I got? I wouldn’t dare miss this!

Fluttershy: That’s wonderful! I’m sure Keira will be glad to hear it!

WARNING! Below has some sad stuff including a fan favourite canon character. Don't say I didn't warn you and please keep your tears and pitchforks at the door thank you.

Berry Bubblegum

Personality: Emotional, high-strung, mindful, passionate, fun loving.

Likes: Making others happy, factoids about royalty, parties with Cheese Sandwich, goof offs with Pinkie Pie, helping out even the smallest of ways.

Dislikes: Arguing with Bright Eyes, bugs, criticism, teasing, feeling useless.

Story;

Berry Bubblegum is the youngest daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie. Like her older sister Bright Eyes, she is the result of Alicorn Magic combining the love of two ponies of the same gender and third party reproduction. This means she is related to both Pinkie and Twilight and has both their DNA. By Pinkie’s request, Bright’s biological father is Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie carried her, on equal ground with Twilight who carried Bright Eyes.

At a very early age, all Berry ever wanted to be was a princess, just like her Mama Twilight. She dedicated herself to finding everything out about princesshood, constantly bothering Twilight and any other royalty about it. She insisted on going to every event Twilight was invited to, never leaving her side and proudly proclaiming she was the princess’s daughter. However, this ego inflation caught the attention of a few green eyed bullies. Many of them pointed out that she was just an earth pony and there was no chance of her becoming a princess. Berry pretended to ignore those comments, not showing how much they chipped away at her confidence. She was still determined to become a princess and anyone can become a princess!

Right?

Those dreams and obsessions, however, began to break when Berry was ten. An eighteen-year-old Bright Eyes, who was more than a tad clumsy with her magic, accidentally invented a groundbreaking new spell. Her reward from Princess Celestia herself was to be turned into an Alicorn Princess, much to everyone’s surprise and Berry’s horror. She was utterly crushed that her sister became a princess and not her. Bright, who in fact did not want to be a princess, saw how upset Berry was so she literally demanded Celestia turn her back into a non Royal Unicorn, which she did. Berry really appreciated the gesture from Bright and it brought them together closer as sisters. However, Berry slowly began to realise that the likelihood of her becoming a Princess were very, very slim. She tried every extraordinary thing that she could be capable of doing but nothing worked.

Berry also had another problem. She was now a teenager and still didn’t have her cutie mark. Because she was so set on becoming a princess, she didn’t think to consider other options. This was the cause of more bullying, led to depression and more insecurities. Eventually, she just stopped trying at anything. Her parents noticed soon that her grades were low and she stopped coming to Twilight’s Princess outings. One day, Pinkie Pie decided to have a heart to heart with her about it. This was where Berry expressed her feelings and insecurities, saying that because she was not a unicorn or a pegasus and couldn’t perform magic, she wasn’t special or good enough to become a princess. She was just a dumb, stupid, useless earth pony. Trying not to sound hurt by Berry’s words, Pinkie asked her what was so bad about being ordinary? After all, ordinary earth ponies are still capable of doing extraordinary things. Berry didn’t believe her, though she did feel guilty when she overheard Twilight comforting a weeping Pinkie Pie.

When Berry was sixteen, Cheese Sandwich made a surprise trip to Ponyville and Berry was delighted at seeing her dad again. But he was not there on a happy occasion. He revealed to the TwiPie family that he was very sick with cancer and, while treatable at this stage, it very close to being terminal. Everyone was devastated, most especially Berry, who is the most emotional out of her and Bright. Everyone dealt with the news differently. Since the Ponyville hospital had a good cancer treatment department, Twilight allowed Cheese to stay in the castle during his treatment while Pinkie took him to all of his appointments. Berry tried to be strong and spend as much time with her father as possible, even attending all his appointments with him, but she desperately wanted to help him and felt even more useless than usual. It also didn’t help that Bright had locked herself in her room and buried herself in her studies, not wanting to address Cheese’s illness. Berry was furious, accusing her sister of not caring about their father’s sickness.

After that fight, Berry stormed off, running to the hospital where Cheese was on an overnight stay. She found him entertaining foals, still smiling and making ponies laugh despite being in incredible pain. Touched, Berry knew what she could do to help. She asked Pinkie if she’d be willing to teach her how to make others laugh, much to an already emotional Pinkie’s delight. While being taught and improving her skills, Berry gathered her friends Lucky Bug, Lickety-Split, Opal and Forelle to put on a performance for all the ponies at the hospital. It was a huge success and Berry finally felt she had helped not just her father, but the kids and her sister, who finally came out of the castle to see it and opened up about her emotions about Cheese’s illness. This was when she finally received her cutie mark, several blue bubbles.

In the current timeline, Berry is eighteen and still in school. She is much more confident now, still continuing to entertain for sick ponies and plans to create a charity based around that with help from Twilight. Both Pinkie and Cheese (who is still very ill but is making progress) train her in the ways of entertainment. Berry also goes by her unofficial title as ‘The Princess of Parties’.

Bits and Pieces;

Ever since getting her cutie mark, Berry’s confidence improved. She even challenges Pinkie to a Goof Off every now and again. There’s yet to be a decided winner.

Pinkie’s baby name for Berry is ‘Berry Baby’. Berry isn’t entirely found of it but Cheese gets away with calling her that.

Berry’s full name is Raspberry Bubblegum Sparkle Pie.

Berry’s nickname among friends is ‘Bubs’.

Berry’s best friend is Forelle. Berry is one of the few ponies who doesn’t act awkward over Forelle’s blindness and is the only one who gets away with joking about it.

Berry is the only one out of the whole next gen to have different coloured eyes. The left is pink and the right is purple.

Despite being high strung, Berry care very deeply for her friends and family. She loves to make them happy, even just a little and keeps a little scrap book of everyone’s favourite things called ‘The Happy Book’.

Just like Pinkie, Berry has appalling table manners.

When Berry got her cutie mark, she screamed excitedly for a while, joined by Bright when she showed it off to her.

Bright and Berry often squabble as sisters do. Bright is more logically thinking while Berry is more emotional driven. However, they bond over planning parties and charity events. Before Cheese became ill, their favourite time of the year was summer when they would attend Cheese’s party expeditions.

Berry gained her father’s height and is significantly taller than Bright as a teen. Her body type is similar to Luna or Fleur de Lis.

Since they have two mothers, Bright and Berry call Pinkie ‘Mom’ and Twilight ‘Mama’.

Berry is deathly afraid of any kind of bugs and insects. This was due to a childhood prank on her from Lickety-Split, who dumped Lucky Bug’s collection of bugs on top of her. Since then, she cannot even look at a pretty butterfly without screaming blue murder. Bright often has to ‘rescue’ Berry from bugs since their castle is full of them.

Tira Bright and Friends School life: Halloween special

Halloween treat. somewhere at an open field by the school, all the students were working on a homemade hunted house, so they have it ready to scare some trick or treater for Harvest Nights. Inside one of the hunted room, Tira Bright and Timber Night Wolf were working together decorating the evil witches room. They brought some items from Tira Uncle shop. so they can use them to make the place look very scary. Tira was lucky that she was in her dragon form, so it was easy for her to hang up the decorations. Timber was doing his best to carry some decorations on his back, and holding one with his mouth like a dog. Tira Bright look back to see if Timber needed help, and she noticed that he was struggling to hold them. Tira Bright laugh to herself a little, before she had the chance to ask him what he was doing. Tira Bright: Timber, what are you doing? Timber night wolf: *before he say anything, he place the decoration from his mouth on the ground* what do you think Tira. Timber is moving some decorations. Tira Bright: I can see that, but why carrying the stuff that way. you're a alicorn for peek sake, you have magic to lift alot of things. Timber night wolf: Timber know about that, but don't forget that Timber is a hybrid. Timber half alicorn and half lycane pony, So Timber is not good with magic yet. Besides, you shouldn't be complaining that your a dragon pony and able to carry things with your claws. Tira Bright: I know, it part of me still feel weird that I'm a dragon then a pegasus. It also not easy for me to changed back to normal since most of my magic have to keep this form leveled. There still alot I have to learned about myself and these abilities I have. Timber night wolf: and you will Tira. Just remember what your Uncle said during our training. Magic can't be rush, but you must understand magic itself. Tira Bright: *he laugh* your right, I try to remember that. The funny thing, you always know what my Uncle always talk about during our magic training, but always have a hard time paying attention when doing the spells. Timber night wolf: Timber prefer being a lycane like mother. Timber understands that father is an alicorn, but Timber want to learn how to achieve wolf form like mother instead. Tira Bright: that right, your mom have a special beast form whenever she facing danger. I'm surprised that you haven't reach that point yet. Timber night wolf: Timber been trying. Even little sister Zelda Night wolf already in wolf form at a young age. Tira Bright: it sound like someone is a bit jealous of their sibling. Timber night wolf: Timber is not jealous, Timber is happy for little sis. Can we change subjects, and continued working on this set, before the head mistress found us slacking off again. Tira Bright: you got a point there. I'm still mad that Auntie Della Pinn Dragon is making us work after school. Timber night wolf: and who fault was it for causing a food fight, and get Me involved. Tira Bright: I told you the last time that I was sorry. Nightshade stole my pudding cup from my lunch tray, and I was trying to get back. Timber night wolf: you know how she is whenever she see something sweet. Especially when it comes to cookies, and pudding cup. Tira Bright: yeah. and because of her, I'm stuck here helping the art and crafts club with their hunted house maze. Timber night wolf: just be lucky that you have a friend to hangout with during the punishment. On the plus side, we are able to leave classes an hour early before everyone else. Tira Bright: true, but at the same time we already miss some training sessions with my grandfather, and magic lesson from Uncle. I'm just glad today is the last day, so we can leave here and get ready for Harvest Nights festival. Timber night wolf: Timber is already excited to go trick or treating together with Nightshade, and her sister. Tira Bright: well of course. Nightshade is a total sassy dragon friend, but when it come to finding the perfect spot for candy hunting, she the dragon to ask. Timber night wolf: that true, but we still have to get some costumes for trick or treating, and most of the stores already sold out of them. Tira Bright: none to worried, Nightshade was cool enough to buy our costumes, while were busy helping this hunted house maze. Timber night wolf: did she said what costume we are wearing? Tira Bright: all I know she got me a cow girl costume, but the outfit is a little bit showing, and part of me going to hate wearing it. Timber night wolf: you would look cute that outfit Tira. Tira Bright: thanks Timber, but just be very lucky that your my best friend, or I would slap you for having some dirty thoughts about me wearing that outfit. Timber night wolf: *he gulp* noted. So what costume she got for me, knowing her she going to try to match us something together. Even though Timber kept on telling her we are friends. Tira Bright: funny thing, she was plan to wear a red riding hood costume, so she can make a couple costume when you transformed into a werewolf. But her cousin Pumpkin Spice already clam it already, and she going as a sexy Vampire instead. Timber night wolf: ok, but what about her sister Lavender, is she going to join us. Tira Bright: she not a big fan for Harvest Nights festival, but she going to join us anyway, dressing up as a bag of chip. Timber night wolf: that an .... interesting costume idea. Tira Bright: she not very creative when it come to costume. Timber night wolf: hey Timber not saying wrong. Just an interesting choose of costume she picked. Tira Bright: it is, believe me on that. Now then, I think we are done decorating this area. Since we got alot of time now, we can head over for Nightshade place and get our costumes Timber night wolf: ok, but what about me though, since Nightshade was expecting me to be a were werewolf for trick or treating, and I still can't transformed yet. Tira Bright: oh yeah, I forgot that small problem. Well then, I guess I have to help you push your transformation then. Timber night wolf: really, what is it? Tira Bright: it a potion that I been working on for a few weeks. I'm not sure it going to work right, but it should work. Timber night wolf: are you sure about that. Timber remember you try potions making before, and Timber gotten hurt from the last one. Tira Bright:, trust me Timber, this potion is going to work this time, and look at the bright side, the effect only last for the night, so you should be back to normal in the morning. Timber night wolf: .... well if you said the effect only last for the night, Timber will give it a shot. Be nice that Timber becomes a awesome werewolf for Harvest Nights. Tira Bright: trust me Timber, you won't regret it. Later that night for Harvest Nights festival, all the kids, teens, and adult alike are wearing their fancy costumes, so they can enjoy the fun activities. Somewhere down the street by a busy neighborhood, Tira Bright was walking down sidewalk, heading for houses to gain some candy. Tira Bright was wearing her cow girl costume, which Nightshade got for her, and so far she already hate the outfit. She wore a cow girl vest that barely cover her upper body, and a cow girl pants that only came with nothing that much. However she does like the hat that look cool on her, but that mostly it. While Tira doing her best to get used with the outfit, she kept on looking around her surroundings, to see where her friend Timber was. Tira was about to call his name, until she look at a nearby bushes was shaken a bit. Tira already know that Timber must be hiding in there, so she try to talk to him, before she get a chance to pull him out. Tira Bright: come on out Timber, you can't stay inside the bushes forever. Timber night wolf: Timber is fine hiding in here. You can continue on the next house without me. Tira Bright: there no way I'm going to the next house by myself in this outfit. I already got a few guys asking me on a date, and one of them try to pull my panty. Mom said never punch a guy in the face, but I'm very close wanting too. Timber night wolf: you having problems *he jump out from the bushes and reveal himself to Tira* at least you have a costume that look ok, as for me, I'm a female werewolf. Tira Bright: give me a break, Timber, I already said that I was sorry about the side effects. I though for sure I add the proper portion of the potion, but it seem like I must the miss an important ingredient, which sort of changes your sex a bit. Timber night wolf: no kidding. Tira Bright: relax Timber, like I said before that the side effects only last for the rest of the night, and you should be back to normal in the morning. As for now, let us go to a few houses, and gather some more candy. I know Mr. and Mrs. Williams might have our favorite candy bar we like. Timber Night wolf: ..... sigh, you always know how to make me feel better with candy *he feel his stomach growling* for some reason Timber been feeling much more hungrier then before. Tira Bright: be grateful that you don't have the same appetite like Nightshade. I still remember last year Harvest Nights festival that she nearly eat the entire bag of candy we gather together. We were lucky enough to get at least a few candy out of it. Tumber Night Wolf: speaking of Nightshade, Timber thought she was coming with us for trick or treating tonight. Timber night wolf: they said if the first person is able to walk through the maze without being scared, the winner will get a large supply of candy. Nightshade: big deal, Short cake, and Lavender were able to get a large sack of candy already. why would I want to waste my time of going through a haunted house maze, and be sweaty. I guess you don't want to hear that if one of the winners is a student at the school, will also get a special golden pass that allow them to leave the school property during lunch, for a whole year. We made it for an emergency if anyone is too afraid to finish walking through the maze. Britney Fear: very clever to make an exist there. I guess Nightshade made some right choices of keeping you around as her friend. Tira Bright: whatever, just hand over the bag of candy, and we call it a night. Britney Fear: not so fast miss smarty pants. I will give you back the bag of candy, but you and I are going through the maze together, and getting the prize Lavender: that not fair. Somewhere inside the deeper part of the maze, Nightshade was still pushing Timber Night Wolf large figure, so they can reach towards the finish line, and gain the prize. Nightshade was getting tired of pushing her, and figure to stop for a moment. While Timber body was still stiff, she notice the hallways was so dark, it was hard for her to see anything at all. Part of her know this place is not real, but turning into a girl bring out some of the feeling she been trying to hide of her fear. Timber Night Wolf was thinking about escaping this place, but interrupted by Nightshade voice, which made her jump in the air for a second. Timber Night Wolf see the undead earth pony, and it had a shovel on his back. The undead pony look around for a moment, and then finally spotted his two victim. Timber was super shock to see the undead pony, and start to run away down the hallway. Nightshade was upset that Timber left him, but when she finally see the undead earth pony, Nightshade open her wings and started flying where Timber ran off to. Somewhere at the other side of the haunted hallway, Tira Bright, and Britney Fear both were running through the hallway, trying to get away from an angry demon female pegasus with a skull was chasing them down for stealing her coffee. Tira Bright was lucky that she remember the path of the maze, and know where they need to go. She look at Britney was trying to catch, but the demon pegasus was getting a bit too close to her. Tira look and saw the entrance door that lead to the witches room. She look back at Britney, and grab her hand so they can get inside, before the demon pegasus get the chance to catch them. Once inside the witches room, Tira Bright did her best to berracade the door, so that the demon pegasus doesn’t try to break in. When she was done, Tira check on Britney and saw her hiding under the table, saying some random words out of fear. Tira doesn’t understand how a bully like her act so tough, and then become a big coward, but she can’t blame of being scared, since even the bravest people can be afraid of something. Tira walk over to Britney, and see if she was doing alright. Britney notice that Tira was approaching her, and ask Tira to see if they were safe. Britney Fear: Is that demon thing gone? Tira Bright: I think so. I was able to barricade the door, just in case if she try to come inside. The female white wolf witch look at her two intruders, and was pleased to have some guest to visit her home. Tira wanted to say something to the witch, but part of her didn’t want to say anything wrong, since Britney was petrified of the situation they are in. The witch didn’t do anything, except walk pass them, and head for her magic cauldron, where she was right in the middle making something special. A raven flew over the cauldron, and drop a wooden spoon by the witch hand, then landed on her shoulder. Tira, and Britney were both freak out seeing an actual witch. Britney wanted to act brave, but all she did was standing behind Tira, hoping that she would protect her from the evil witch. Tira wanted to roll her eyes, but even she was afraid of seeing the witch as well. The witch look at the raven by her shoulder, and pet it for a bit. Then she speak to the two girls, to see what they wanted. Dahlila the Witch: well now, this is sure is a nice surprise. Two girls intrude the witches lair, not knowing if they going to live, or die at the end. Tira & Britney: ……….. Witch: *she laugh* calm yourself, I’m only joking. A witch like me enjoy having guess. Especially for the one that seeking for something. Tira Bright: wait a second, how you know we are seeking for something? Britney Fear: yeah! We could be searching for something else. Witch: *the raven fly of her shoulder, when she started to steer the liquid inside the cauldron* people that search for the witch’s room, only come here for something good. Either way, I always win. Tira Bright think for a moment to herself, to see what she, and Britney can do. Both of them want to get out, and head for the exit to gain the prize, but one of them had to stay here, and become the witch eternal slave. Britney try to think about it as well, but deep down she would double cross Tira, and leave the place. Neither can’t trust each other, since they are thinking the same thing. Britney Fear: I knew you was plan to have me as the witch slave. Tira Bright: of course not, what gave you that dumb idea. Britney Fear: I just know, ok. Tira Bright: ……… for the love of. Look, I’m going to give myself up, ok. Britney Fear: …….. Wait, for real. You actually give yourself up like, just like that Tira Bright: of course I am. I’m still keeping my end of the bargain, and helping you find the exit out of here. Even if I have to become a mindless servant to the witch. Britney Fear: …………. I don’t know about this. Tira Bright: don’t tell me you having second thought about this. You been thinking about getting what you wanted, and now you a bully, having second thoughts Britney Fear: hey, it not easy of being me, alright. Sure I’m a bully, and I like to pick on the weak to get what I want, but I’m not always like this. Tira Bright: if you weren’t like that all the time, then why you kept on being a bully. Britney Fear: because the very person you been friends with, is the reason why I’m still a bully. Tira Bright: you’re talking about Nightshade, the very sassy dragon that was part of your gang. Britney Fear: yes, the very sassy dragon that I wish would have stay with me, instead of going with you, and that lycane pony. Tira Bright: ……… now I get it. Your really are jealous of me, and Timber. The reason why you always pick on us all the time. Britney Fear: of course it was. Part of me hate you two for taking away the only first friend I ever made my entire life. Tira Bright: what about the twins that follow you all the time? Britney Fear: they are more than just fan to me, but they are alright to hang out with. Nightshade on the other hand, she was someone very important to me, and when she went up and left me, I was hurt in so many levels. Tira Bright look at Britney for a bit, and notice there was sadness in her eyes. Tira didn’t know that Nightshade was that important to her, but it would make since if she lost her friendship with Timber Night Wolf, she be feeling the same way as well. Tira Bright sigh to herself, knowing she have to do the right thing. She look at the witch, and told her to stop the act. Tira Bright: alright Dahlila, you can stop the act now. Britney Fear: act, what act? Dahlila: are you sure you want to stop this, Tira? Tira Bright: yeah I’m sure. It was going to be a good prank, but I think Britney learn a lesson already. Dahlila: …. Sigh, if you exist. Dahlila walk away from the cauldron and head over for the wall she was near her. She look around to find something, and she was able to find the light switch. Once she flip the switch, the whole witches room light up, and everyone can see how fake the place was. Britney Fear was sort of confuse of what going on. She look Tira standing next with the evil witch, but the witch was actually the white wolf with the red eyes, after she took the witch hat, and wig off. Dahlila sigh a little, feeling sad that the prank which she, and Tira were plan to pull was cancel. Dahlila: …. Sigh, it really ashamed that we had to stop from doing that great prank we were planning to do. I even had the potion ready to make you look like a cowgirl zombie. Tira Bright: I know, and part of me feel like it was the perfect prank, but after seeing her how she feeling, part of me feel like it was the bad timing. Britney Fear: alright, would you please tell me what the heck is going on. Why your all buddy with that evil witch that lurk at the school, and what all this about of a prank. Tira Bright: you see Britney, I actually knew Dahlila long time ago. My mother, and grandfather actually met her from the forest she was living, and ask her to join the school. Dahlila: I stop by at Tira house to meet with her mother, to let her know how I’m doing at school, and see if I need anything help. At the same time, I chat with Tira a lot, and we became good frineds. Britney Fear: wait, so Tira friends know about this? Tira Bright: not really, Timber, and Nightshade were a bit too scared when they heard about Dahlila joining our school, so I never had the chance to tell them. Dahlila: I was ok being some kind of scary person at the school, so I have some personal space. Britney Fear: ok then, that make some sense, but I still like to know about this prank you was about to pull. Tira Bright: I had this prank all planed out, after you pick on me, and Timber last week. When I was working the witch’s room, I place a few stuff inside that Dahlila needed, which was a few potion to make me turn into a zombie for a second. Dahlila: but of course you weren’t planning to be a cowgirl zombie in the first place, but I really like the idea. Tira Bright: for the last time, it was Nightshade idea. My butt been feeling cold all day, and I know for sure I be catching a cold later. Britney Fear: wait, so you been plotting to prank me all this time. I though this prank was about me, and my lackeys for stealing that dragon candies. Tira Bright: that was icing on the cake. When you stole Pumpkin Spice candy, and plan to eat it, you made it personal, and I was going to make sure you pay for that. Britney Fear: eat her candy! I wasn’t plan on doing that. Tira Bright: if you wasn’t, then why Molly, and Dolly were about to eat the candy then. Britney Fear: those two take things a little seriously, but I was plan to tell them to give the candy back, even if you weren’t going to help me. Tira Bright: I sort of wish to believe you, but it a bit hard for me to trust someone like you. Birtney Fear: *she laugh* you got me there, even I won’t trust myself, for the thing I done. But I will say this though, it was good of try that you went all this way to prank. Tira Bright: thank you, I got a lot of help from Timber, and Dahlila. Although I might have to ask Timber to forgive me, for not telling her about it. Dahlila: I though Timber was a guy? Tira Bright: it a long story, I will tell you about it later. Britney Fear: *she laugh* well either way, I give you credit, you’re not half bad of a dragon slash Pegasus. Even if you’re a bit of a weirdo. Tira Bright: same goes to you as well. Now then, you promise you not going to harm me, and my friends again. Britney Fear: yeah I give it a try. I let you go a week, or two, but after that, it back to normal picking on you guys again. Dahlila: *she place her hand on Tira shoulder* best take her offer, you’re only going to get that far. Tira Bright: yeah I know, just wish it could have been a little better. Britney Fear: great, so anyway of how to get out of here? Tira Bright: there is, but we need to head back to the maze first. Britne Fear: huh! Why we need to head back to the maze for? Tira Bright: Nightshade, and Timber been moving around the maze for hours, and I don’t think they haven’t gone that far. Dahlila: let me guest, Timber is still afraid of the maze. Tira Bright: yup, and knowing Nightshade, she might be trying her best to talk to Timber, and try to build up her confidents. Somewhere at the other side of the haunted maze, Nightshade was sitting on the floor, and eating a bowl of candy that she found. While she was eating the bowl of candy, Nightshade was handing some candy to Timber, who was sitting right next to her. Timber Night Wolf was doing her best to eat the candy, but she stop every second, when she heard some strange noise in the background. Nightshade know that Timber is a lycane pony, but still surpsied that she still is afraid of scary things. Even though those scary things aren’t real. Timber Night Wolf look at Nightshade, and feel bad that they haven’t reach the exit. She stare at the candy in her hand, and start talking to Nightshade of how sorry she it. Timber Night Wolf: Timber is sorry for this, Nightshade. This was meant to be a great night for all of us, but instead Timber is acting a total baby. Nightshade: stop saying that Timber. This is one of the best night I ever had with you, and Tira. Timber Night Wolf: Really! Nightshade: sure, well other than bringing my little sister, and short cake with me for trick or treating, then I had to deal with my future lover being a girl the entire night. Timber Night Wolf: ………… Nightshade: which is nothing wrong being a girl, you still wonderful no matter what. Timber Night Wolf: thanks Nightshade Nightshade: no problem, but other than that, this is one of the best Night Harvest festival I ever had, and I’m glad to spend it with you. Timber Night Wolf: …….. *she blush* me too Nightshade. Timber guess all thing isn’t bad. Sure I’m a girl for now, but at least Timber be back to normal on the next day. Nightshade: speaking of which, what kind of potion was it exactly you drank anyway? Timber Night Wolf: Tira said it was an experimental potion, and it was missing an important ingredient. But she said the effect isn’t long lasting. Nightshade: ok, but where did she get the idea to make the potion. Timber Night Wolf: from a black book, why you ask? Nightshade: ……….. Well, there is something you might want to know, but you got to promise not to be mad when you hear. Timber Night Wolf wasn’t sure what she meant by that, but when Nightshade told her about the potion she drink, you be able to hear the wholing echoing the hallway, knowing that her condition was much worst. When Timber finish hearing the news, she was laying on her back completely knock out. Nightshade sigh to herself, knowing it was going to be one of those night. So she sat right next to Timber, and continue eating the bowl of candy, until she see her friends to find her. The end. A wonderful fanfiction commission I got from TheSieve on DA about Twilight nearly missing the birth of Stella. I LOVED it, and I just really wanted to share it with ya’ll. ;_;

Diamanti e Stelle (Diamonds & Stars)

It was a perfect day for painting a nursery.

They should’ve done this weeks ago, if not months back, but they were busy mares with busy lives and better late than never, as somepony without a watch once said.

Rarity and Twilight were almost finished. With only one wall left, they were within sight of the finish line; the trophy being the unborn foal currently calling the smaller unicorn home.

Rarity was grateful for that. Pregnancies came with both highs and pitfalls, and in the last two months it seemed it was more of the latter than the former. She was more than ready to meet the bun she was baking.

Feet sore, she paused in her work to rest her swollen ankles. “Would you mind finishing up my side?” She asked Twilight, rubbing at her aching legs. Stomach growling, hot food and a cup of tea was sounding lovely right about now.

As if on cue. Spike appeared with a ‘dinner's ready’ before he went to set the table.

Rarity sounded out a grateful ‘thank you’.

Twilight barely heard him. If she did at all.

She was leaving for Yakyakistan in the morning. It was only for a few short days, but Twilight could not shake the guilt of leaving her pregnant wife behind weeks before her due date. However, she was also a princess and that came with reposisiblities.

Soon though, she’d be tasked with an even greater responsibility and the weight of that knowledge had been heavy on her mind for months.

Tired, the alicorn put her brush down. With a deep sigh, she rubbed her hands over her face, wings low and limp at her sides.

Rarity took notice. “Darling,” She said, taking Twilight’s hands in hers. “Talk to me.”

It was embarrassing. It was stupid. It was terrifying.

Yet Twilight was weak against those brilliant azure eyes. They were diamonds; as beautiful as they were sharp. Twilight couldn't hide the truth from them, even if she wanted to. (And she didn’t.)

She chewed her lip, calming the storm brewing in her head, picking out the threads of thought and weaving them into words. If anyone could make sense of them, it would be her Rarity.

“I’m just ...I’m unsure if I’ll be,” No, those weren't the right words.

Rarity was patient though, giving her wife’s fidgeting fingers a reassuring squeeze.

“What if,” Licking her lips, Twilight found herself picking at the yarn again. Starting was always the hardest part. She knew the moment she did, Rarity would take them and turn them into something else - something that wasn’t a mess.

All Twilight had to do was bite the bit. “...What if I’m not a good mom?”

“Twilight,” Rarity sighed, the edges of those sparkling diamond eyes softening. “My love, may I ask you a question?”

“A question?” Twilight parroted, heart entwined with both curistiosly and uncertainty.

“Do you think I’ll be a terrible mother?”

“Of course not!” It wasn’t even a question. “You’re going to be a wonderful mother! The BEST mother!”

With a laugh like chiming bells on a bright, mellow spring morning, Rarity blushed deep and scarlet against ivory fur. “Thank you, my love. May I ask one more question?”

Twilight nodded, ready.

“Why do you believe you’ll be any less?”

“I don’t know.” Twilight heard herself say. But she did, didn’t she?

She could play princess all she wanted.

She couldn’t play at being a mom.

Rarity’s heart twisted at the sight of those loving, passion filled violet eyes darkening with uncertainty. That look did not belong on her Twilight’s face.

Inside her, somepony else agreed.

“Now you listen here darling,” Pulling Twilight closer, bringing their hands over her heart, Rarity squared up against the doubts and shadows plaguing her wife.“You are a powerful alicorn, a dedicated princess, a concerned and caring friend beyond compare,”

She moved their hands slowly down.

“You are the most loving wife. You listen with your heart, you smile with your soul, you laugh when my jokes aren't funny, and more importantly, when I cry you cry with me. Your strength is my strength. I lean on you, and sweetheart, I’ve also been scared,”

Twilight needed to hear the truth, and by Celestia’s sun, Rarity was going to fight every vile thought that dare make her believe otherwise.

“I’ve had my own doubts, my own fears about this -” Finally, she brought their entangled hands over her stomach, where a small and kicking life made itself known to her mothers. “Yet every morning I wake up to your beautiful face is a morning I know she is going to love you as much, if not more than I do. And sweetheart,” She stared deeply into violet pools. “I love you.”

When the tears came, they came with a smile.

Gently freeing one hand, Twilight rested her fingers against her wife’s cheek with a slow, soft caress. “How did gaia bless me with such a perfect mare?”

“Perfect, hmm?” Rarity smirked, leaning in. “Funny, I was just thinking the same thing.”

Closing the distance, Twilight met those perfect lips, mapping them in all their flawless detail, and only surfacing for air when Rarity pulled away (too soon).

“Mmm?” Twilight sounded.

Rarity laughed, bright and blissful, at the note of confusion. “Greedy today, aren't we?” Picking back up a brush, she held it out to her partner playfully out of reach.“Let’s save some of that sugar for later.”

With her height, taking the brush wasn’t even a challenge, but in the process she earned herself a sprinkle of lavender rain.

Wiping away the paint decorating her shoulders, smearing it further, Twilight paused and watched.

Watched how the light fell through the windows, the way it danced across the room and fell in halos around her wife and their unborn child, and found herself asking gaia that same familiar question.

Ponies parted like the lunar seas. When a alicorn, all horn and wings is galloping down at top speeds through a crowded airport, you make room. There is no time for arguments or questions as your life flashes before your eyes.

“What do you mean she’s in labor!” Twilight rasped, throat tight in concern. It was happening, and it was happening without her!

“I know Twilight! I have eyes, and unfortunately, ears.” Spike said through the phone, punctuated with a howl of pain that was not his own.

The sound made her blood run cold and vision blurr. It was happening and she was going to miss it; the birth of her daughter!

So much for first impressions.

“Are you at the hospital, how long has she been in labor, how far apart are the contractions? Does she have water and enough blankets? Are her feet cold? I’m sure we packed socks, we packed socks didn’t we!? What if we forgot the-”

“Give it here,” Came a different voice, Spike sighing thankfully as he handed over the phone. “Sugar cube, ya need to cool your heels. Ain’t nothing you need to be working yourself up about. Us girls got ya covered till you get your tail down here, okay.”

“But Applejack,”

“Ain’t no butts here, Twilight. Now you listen and you listen good. You have one job, and it’s making sure that the first two faces this foal sees is that of her sweet mommas.”

“I know but -”

“Now what did I just say?” And before Twilight could argue, or plead for more details the phone went silent with a loud click.

“Wasn’t that a bit - oh I don’t know - harsh?” Rainbow Dash asked, staring down the options in the hospital vending machine. They weren’t great. “Could’ve at least told her something more than ‘run Twilight run’”

Applejack agreed. It was harsh. Maybe unfairly so, but that girl was always the kind who worked better with commands. Otherwise she’d just bog herself down with the unnecessary details, like trying to put together a puzzle that was already finished. “I reckon this way, the wait will be shorter.”

Rainbow tapped her foot, watching her bits disappear. Running a hand through her hair, she hummed. “Yeah, whatever. Just don’t pull a stunt like that on me.”

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

It took a moment, but her own words finally reached Rainbow’s ears. ”I mean - what I meant to say was,” Abandoning ship, the pegasus snatched up her snacks and drinks, shoving a bag of hot-hays into the taller, stronger, more muscular mare’s arms as she retreated into the delivery room.

In her haste, she missed the gorgeous shade of apple red blossoming on an orange, freckled face.

Canterlot in rush hour, was in many ways, worse than the infamous Manehatten tolls and bridges. In the big city ponies had a sense of time. Understood how short a day could be, and wasted none of it.

Canterlot residents on the other hand, could buy time if they needed too. They controlled the clocks, or so they believed and if they wanted to drive ten miles under the speed limit, by all accounts, they would go right ahead and do it.

This mindset was also the reason why one taxi driver was growing equals parts frustrated and concerned. Partly because today’s traffic was particularly bad,clogging up the historic streets of downtown with noise and exhaust, magic or no magic filters.

However, his bigger problem wasn’t with his environmental concerns, but with his peculiar passenger. On any other day, he’d feel blessed that THE Princess of Friendship had chosen his humble cab to ride in, but one look at the frazzled feathered, wide eyed mare sparking nervous magic and practically strangling her suitcase cast some heavy doubt oh this fare.

The fact that they had been sitting for almost twenty minutes without moving, practally parked, wasn’t helping the situation none.

“Uh, excuse me Princess?” He had to say something. The mare’s magic was burning a hole in his roof. “On behalf of the business, I thank you for choosing Black & Yellow - Cabs At Your Service, and stop me if this is out of line, but are you alright?”

Twilight snapped forward, startled from whatever line of thought that was currently trying to consume her. “How much longer!?”

“Princess…” He looked at the bumper to bumper traffic with an awkward, lopsided grin. “Heh, is that a trick question?”

That was the wrong thing to say. Obviously. If his passenger was acting odd before, her behavior was downright bizarre now.

Hyperventilating, muttering rapidly, wings twitching, Twilight looked like a unicorn with her horn trapped in the mason jar. “No, no this can’t be happening. I can’t miss this. I can’t!”

“Again, don’t mind me Princess, but what are you going to miss?” All she had said was ‘drive fast here’. The here being a small hospital in Ponyville four hours away by car.

If they were lucky. And interpreted speed limits as suggestions instead of law.

And with the train out of service for track repairs, well...

“I’m already a terrible mom,” She said, voice small and distant, eyes focused on nothing. “And she’s not even born yet.”

Oh. Oh no.

“Oh no,” He said, putting two and two together and feeling guilty for something he had no control over. “Aww Princess, I’m sorry!” Giving the wheel a good hit, he looked out the window and at the clouds floating faster then they were moving. “I’m not one of those fancy airships. Otherwise I’d fly us over this mess in a hop, skip and a - ”

The Princess was staring right at him, and he could almost see the light bulb over her head as something simple and brilliant and the tiniest bit embarrassing dawned upon her.

“Thank you!” She shouted, unbuckling. “Thank you so, so much!” Rushing out of the car in a flurry of feathers, she abandoned her luggage, tossing her entire wallet into the front seat.

Shocked, the cabby shouted out the window for her to wait. “Princess!”

In a flash of wings and purple magic that made his greying mane stand up and the cars around them shake, he watched as the Alicorn disappeared, and then reappeared as a Twilight shaped dot against the sunset.

“Do you think she’ll make it?”

Fluttershy put on her most reassuring smile. “Of course Spike, she’ll be here. Any minute now. ”She tried not to lie. She really hoped she wasn’t lying.

The young drake huffed. He wasn’t some baby dragon that needed coddling anymore. He knew time was running short.

Fluttershy put a tentative arm around him. “Do you want Pinkie to make you another balloon animal?”

And speak of the pink party pony - Pinkie Pie appeared in the next chair, balloons ready to go. “Oooh, what about a hippopotamus this time!” She squealed, blowing up a long blue shape.

“Pinkie, I don’t think that’s a...” Fluttershy breathed, letting it go. Spike was thoroughly distracted for the moment, trying and failing to guess at what chimera of creatures Pinkie was creating.

It was excellent timing too, Rainbow Dash exiting the delivery room again. She was on her fifth or sixth snack run, and Fluttershy had a sneaking suspicion is wasn’t because she was still hungry.

“Your turn again,” She said hooking the air with her thumb. “Warning, she’s still all drama. I swear, this is the performance of a lifetime or something.”

Fluttershy rolled her eyes before she caught herself with a meek ‘sorry’ that nopony seemed to hear.

Because of hospital rules, only two ponies other than the doctors and nurses were allowed in the room with the delivering mother at a time.

Applejack was one of them. Fluttershy was now the other. For the last eight hours or so the five of them, including Spike, had been switching on and off, taking turns at keeping Rarity company as they all waited for the arrival.

The only question now was who would arrive first - a filly or her sire.

As Rainbow had said, Rarity was putting on quite the performance. She was curled up on her side, mane hiding her face, moaning with a deathgrip around a pillow.

“C’mon sugarcube,” Applejack said, rubbing the poor unicorn’s back. “You’re doing great.”

Rarity replied with another bout of moaning. “I’m dying,” She announced. “Put me out of my misery.”

Applejack gave a bemused snort.

Fluttershy covered her mouth. She hated seeing her friend in pain like this regardless of reason, but the fact that Rarity could remain, well, Rarity while trying to deliver a foal into the world was a wee bit amusing.

The humor only lasted for a second, as Rarity asked again for Twilight. “Where is she?”

Fluttershy and Applejack shared a look. “She’s on her way.” They said in almost perfect unison. It wasn’t very convincing.

The baby was coming. With or without Twilight.

She was the one who was supposed to be here, rubbing her wife’s back, cooing sweet reassurance into her ears. Not them. Sure, they were all best friends with an unbreakable bond between them but they’re weren't this foal’s parents (even if they would spoil her twice as much as aunts.)

Looking at the clock, hearing Rarity groan, Fluttershy wished for a miracle.

“Are you ready to become a mother? ” The doctor asked with a bright, cheery grin.

“Read the room, doc.” Applejack chided with a crack of her tail.

Fluttershy’s breath caught as the doctor replaced his clipboard for a pair of surgical gloves. “I’m sorry ladies, but this foal won’t wait forever.”

“W-wait,” Rarity started to protest as another wave of pain hit her. The time between contractions was almost non-existent now. ”Five more minutes, please!”

The doctor gave a pity smile. “Your foal will be here in five minutes.”

“Now just you wait a moment partner -”

“S-sir could you please reconsider -”

“I’m not having this child without my -”

A loud pop from outside the room, a shriek, and another smaller pop followed by cheering caught everyone’s attention.

All eyes were on the doorway as a ragged, worse for wear, magically and physically exhausted alicorn gripped the wall.

“Did I make it!?” Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic, Princess of Friendship and best wife ever, panted out, wings crooked and horn practically smoking.

In the background, Pinkie could be heard saying “Boy, are your arms tired!”

The doctor stared, dumbfounded. Had she flown all the way [i]from[/i] Canterlot? He smelled the tinge of magical afterburn. Did she - did she try to teleport all the way!?

Mind sputtering with the medical implications of such a trip on a pony’s body, alicorn or no alicorn, a polite if pained firm cough brought him back to reality.

“If I may answer you now Doctor,” Rarity grinned through clenched teeth. “Yes, WE are ready.”

If you asked Twilight what it was like watching her daughter be born, she’d say it was ‘like magic’.

Ask her how Rarity looked and she’d say ‘like a goddess’.

Ask her how her hand felt for the next week and she’d say ‘worth the price’.

When Twilight heard her child’s first cries, the spinning of the world stopped. Day and night had no meaning, Time was a lost concept, and the Universe was impossibly small when compared to the weight of being a new parent.

Rarity was the first to hold their daughter -- Stella.

Their Stella. Their little star.

A perfect name for a perfect little filly.

As her beautiful wife - covered in sweat, blood, and tears - cradled their child, Twilight was overcome with pride and gratitude for the mare who had given her this gift. This was her family. Her wife. Her daugher. Her future.

“My darlings,” Rarity sobbed happily, crying from both the residual pain and seeing the beautiful life she had brought into the world. She didn’t want to let her baby go, held on for a selfish (and who would blame her) moment more, before handing Twilight their perfect little radiant star for the first time.

Twilight hesitantly accepted the newborn foal, who had quieted since her first cries in the warmth of her birth mother's embrace. The doubts crept forward out of hiding again, searching for the spotlight, whispering lies.

Then Stella yawned, and those doubts didn’t stand a chance.

Awashed in tears, Twilight held her daughter, and the world started spinning again.
