General - I wanted to make another self-indulgent prompt list this year for OC-tober so I did :3 - If you do feel like following along, remember that your health, comfort and motivation come first! So to answer your questions! Get ready for Lore

Did KJ BUY the worm ?

KJ did not buy Jamie, Jamie wasn't even worm-shaped to begin with!

KJ's parasite is an abnormal Floral Parasite - but even that categorization is slightly misleading because Jamie is first and foremost a Regen Parasite.

What are these parasite types I'm talking about?

To start off with, there's Minor and Major Parasites

Minor Parasites are generally considered "low-effort" on the account that they provide a handful of attributes to their host (e.g. color change of eyes or hair, horns, claws, fangs, tails etc.) without asking for much in return. Minor Parasites are easy to get your hands on, easy to buy, and sadly easy to replace. If a host just thinks of parasites as accessories and don't bond with them, they tend to wither away quickly and you'll have to replace them if you want to maintain attributes. Great for business, bad for the little guys (parasites)

This is easily countered by acknowledging and respecting one's parasites, but if people grow up only knowing of parasites as fun accessories you can buy and mess around with, they wouldn't really know better. Doesn't help with how parasites are marketed

Now to Major Parasites!

Major Parasites are companions! These aren't as common to buy due to controversies of modifying Major Parasites as they're more complicated things on the account of being more "sentient" (Minor Parasites are sentient as well, but don't possess the ability manifest their own body so to speak. Quite at the whim of their host)

Jamie is a Major Parasite, and a Regen Parasite, which is a type of Transformative Parasites.

How did they meet ??

Great question! Regen Parasites are just kind of There. Whether people are born with them or get them really young isn't quite clear. Some say it's genetic, some say it's region-based, some say through tradition - but it's pretty inconclusive because Transformative Parasites are a pretty broad category.

So, Jamie has been with KJ since they were young! And Jamie was not worm-shaped as I mentioned earlier, it looked like this initially

Just a fluffy comfy glitter beast, which KJ never actually saw physically due to being plagued by violent intrusive thoughts when they were younger, and so Jamie would never physically manifest while KJ was awake as its goal was to comfort KJ to manage dealing with that stuff.

A trait of Regen Parasites is that they love their host unconditionally, and accept their host in their entirety. In KJ's case this helps significantly for them not to beat themself up due to intrusive thoughts because Jamie doesn't think less of them at all. Intrusive thoughts stand no chance against a fluffy brain beast <3

Also you might notice KJ looks miserable in that drawing and that's because they are. They were the weird (and repressed) kid with OCD and autism, and sometimes other kids just found them off putting or too weird, and perhaps also annoying because KJ really loves being around other people, but a lot just push them away and they end up not picking up on any hints that people want to be left alone because it's not said straight up </3 Despite his best efforts to stop being a weirdo just so he'd be able to be around others, it made KJ miserable :<

Anyhow, back to Jamie and its wormification.

The way Jamie became worm-shaped is due to merging with a Floral Parasite that was infected with a Mushroom Parasite!

Yes, parasites can also be infected by parasites, and those parasites are Mushroom/Fungi Parasites

So, Floral Parasites are a type of parasite you can contract through ingesting or smoking certain plants. Most common Floral Parasite is Spiced Mint Parasites, which is just straight up weed with mint taste. and maybe also a parasite in it if you're (un)lucky.

And so it happens KJ smoked a splumt (Spiced Mint Blunt) that had an abnormal Floral Parasite in it, which then merged with Jamie and that is a good thing.

It is not advised to have more than one Major Parasite because it can both strain the Parasite Bond with the host, and in the worst case scenario the parasites aren't compatible and might result in death. Risky stuff!

But all is well because KJ became even weirder and the freak he is now

I don't know where to go from here, but here's a list of Jamie's attributes!

REGEN PARASITE ATTRIBUTES

Turbo healing

Able to rebuild tissue and bones

 Basically can revive someone from death if within minutes of the person's death by slithering mulitple tentalces from its mouth into the wound, practically rebuilding the tissue and releasing chemicals that jumpstart the body to work again.

 Stings like a fucking bitch tho holy shit. Like pure alcohol but worse somehow

Their saliva has healing attributes. Not as effective as the worm's mouth tentacles.

Increased strength and indurance. They can crush things with their bare hands with little issue. Like phones.

FLORAL PARASITE ATTRIBUTES

No gag reflex. Can't have KJ choke on it every time it comes out.

KJ can hold their breath for a stupid amount of time, but they are also able to breathe thru the parasite.

High lung capacity

Can float around KJ when complete out. It is solid to touch, but it will also avoid touch from anyone else than KJ. Try to grab it and it will disperse its form and gather together again into a solid body out of reach. will whack you in the face with its face or tail like a wet trout if you do this, so maybe don't. It Will Hurt.

MUSHROOM PARASITE ATTRIBUTES

KJ can speak thru the parasite and can alter their voice.

KJ's jaw is very flexible.

Connection to the fungi parasite network. This does not affect KJ whatsoever, but now every single mushroom parasite in existence know how much of a freak they are.

auughhh and her lore if you wanna read below but I understand that OC lore isn’t everyone’s thing

OKAY SO she comes from a universe where her kind are robots made by a company to terraform planets for the ultra wealthy. So if you have the funds you can purchase a whole planet and whole armies of these little bots will shape it however you want.

BUT. While on the assembly line, before even recovering her directive, a portal opens up and throws her into this odd pocket dimension, which is just a half built city floating in a bright void. (Also when I say half finished I mean more like brutalist aesthetic with just concrete and no glass on the windows)

This place (named ‘Gearsky’ by locals because massive floating gears are the only thing that exist here outside of the city itself) is full of people from their own dimensions just trying to get by. She explores, and comes across a little bear being picked on in an alleyway. (The lil green bear [party bear] in the pics above)

She saves him and then it subconsciously becomes her prime directive to help Party Bear get home/care for him. So they set up base in one of the empty apartments and she just sorta takes care of him.

NOW. How do you get home you may be asking? Well it’s easy. You just need to beat someone in a deathmatch.

Enter the only form of entertainment on this island. The man who is the dictator of this place and subsequently the host of this game, aptly named Host, loves running this game. The rules are simple. 3 people enter, and two can leave alive. Only one needs to die, and the other two can get sent home. The only thing is, you have no idea who you’re going up against.

Now, RB, being a bot made to terraform, has some power behind her with her explosive abilities. But Party Bear has no defenses. So RB tries to strike a deal with Host.

She offers to kill both people in the ring with her for multiversal travel.

Host is intrigued by this offer, and accepts. After wiping the floor with her opponents, she’s granted access to all dimensions. She’s obviously excited and goes home to try and let Party Bear go home, but is heartbroken when she discovers that she’s the only one who can travel using the portals.

But this catches the attention of someone else.

Her future boss.

Another robot, by the codename TB-89.

He took note of her deal, and approached her with a job offer.

Man’s long story short she works for him as an assassin!

Currently I would say Lola is holding that spot, she's fun to draw and write for and I just spin her in my brain like a rotisserie chicken all day she brings me so much joy to think about. She's also my first transfem OC so she,,,,, is so special 2 me <3

My consistent faves of all time tho are my boy Damien (my half demon half vamp man), my girl Lucy (She is a unicorn shifter and I Adore she sooooo much) and ofc my creacher Dean uvu

Oldest OC

Damien!! He's from my first original story I ever made and I've had him for 7 to 8 years!! He rotates in my head forever even tho I barely talk about him 👉👈 His story has changed a few times but his design has stayed pretty consistent! He means the world to me and so does his story and one day I will bring it to life ashsjsjs

That would be Lola!!!! I'd been wanting another unhinged lady to play around with and felt like having a pink murder lady as well and thus Lola was born 🥺 She brings serotonin and I love playing around with her relationships with the other characters!

Meanest OC

Hmmm this is a tough one but it's probably Heather! Heather is actively mean on purpose and loves her passive aggression and tearing people down through her words. She smiles while pointing out all ur insecurities and faults and will laugh if u cry <3 bestest worstie wife ever <333

I have a few other mean OC's like Rilo (Demon lord) but he's on a much bigger scale of wanting to commit genocide against all supernatural creatures soooo he's just like evil less so just mean. Very smile in ur face while he obliterates ur very atoms kinda vibe,, hate him so <3

Softest OC

This is impossible I have too many softies,, But probably Lucy! She's a pacifist and just has the biggest heart, she's very empathetic and always wants to help people even if there is nothing she can do in a situation. She also is just very soft in nature like she has a gentle touch and soft voice and sweet eyes that will make u cry and tell her all ur problems while she holds u.

Most aloof/standoffish

I have a few of these too lol I'd say it's a tie between Michael, Silas (Eldritch horror slasher) or Pheonix (Marvel OC besties with Wade). Silas probably wins because he doesn't tolerate talking to humans in any circumstance and just seeing him tends to send people running. Silent, brooding, grumpy eldritch horror man my beloved.

Smartest OC

I have a sentient AI OC called HEXX and he has knowledge from all across the galaxy (being an AI for a spaceship he needs it lol) so I'd say that'd be him! Ask him anything and he has the answer, just don't ask him about love bc he will have his 1010th identity crisis and the ship will suffer it's 1010th failing and emergency landing :)

Hmmm i'm gonna say my baby boy Ky bc he's my literal himbo lmao He has zero thoughts in his pretty little head!! Only loving friends and having fun!!!! Golden retriever boy only know eat hot food and love everyone!!!!! No but he genuinely is so,, so stupid,,, the one thing he can somehow do on his own is cook, baking is off limits he will burn down the kitchen......

I have a few I think it'd get along with so I'll narrow it down to three!

Piper; We would vibe in a makeshift tree house and play video games and I'd listen to her gush over women (Faith) for hours and she'd judge my horrid taste in men <3 She'd probably also beat me in poker and steal all my money.

Fredrick; my genderfluid god would take me to so many concerts and drag me across the country to get something they bought off of eBay and I would have a blast.

My lil tech nerd Keiden; he likes coding and games, I can kind of code and like games, it just makes sense. We'd play raft and Minecraft and make epic structures and talk about what we would do different with the game mechanics.
