saying that i think they both have a lot of cynical thoughts about it really, but i cahara goes so quickly into "this is my wife, this is our future baby" because otherwise what's the point in taking on such a risky mission in the first place ? but if he's got a noble cause, then it might seem worth it, right ? it's that extra push of encouragement for him, even if it comes with a lot of scary things like the responsibility, being a parent, maybe settling down witch is a scary thought for someone whos always so used 2 being on the move

the wilds. this is an AMAZING SHOW. its on amazon its about a staged plane crash where 8 girls are stuck on an island but they dont know that its all a fucked up social experiment. a lesbian relationship became established before it got canceled after s2.

cable girls. this is on netflix and it actually DIDNT GET CANCELED HALLELUJAH. its an amazing show but it actually doesnt really count as sapphic bc one of the characters in the wlw relationship ends up being trans. but its still a great queer love. this shows spanish and set in late 1920s madrid at a telephone company. its one of my favorite shows ever literally every season is better than the last plz watch it.

everything sucks. this is on netflix and it did get canceled but the lesbian relationship was mostly established before the end of the first season. its set in the 90s and its just a really cute show im mad it got canceled.

paper girls. this is on amazon and ngl this is one of the most painful sapphic show cancelations ive ever suffered through so if you dont wanna watch it just bc of that i dont blame you. its about these four young girls who accidentally time travel from the 80s to current day and meet their future selves. the gay girlies are heavily implied and foreshadowed but they dont get together before the end of the show :(

the last of us!!! not canceled its still going!! this show has an episode that shows a past sapphic relationship with the lesbian main character but the first season doesnt introduce a new relationship yet. the second season will tho. im sure youve heard about this or already watched it but its about a zombie-like pandemic from a deadly fungus and its total post apocalyptic. also AMAZING found family father/daughter trope. dare i say i actually think i like them more than el and hopper.

my favorite lesbian movie of all time is portrait of a lady on fire. its a french period piece and its just beautiful and THERE ARE LIKE ZERO MEN IN THE WHOLE MOVIE. i think the only line a man has is “bonjour” and thats it. MY KINDA MOVIE!!!!! INSTANT 5 STARS!!!!! i love this movie. the initial premise is that a woman needs to be painted but she cant know that shes being painted so the other woman has to just study her while hanging out and then paint her from memory. it ends up being much more than that but gaaahhh if you only watch one of these make it this movie.

another iconic sapphic movie is but im a cheerleader. way different tone much less dramatic and more comedy but still never gets old.

an amazing duo book series is criers war. i LOVE scifi and fantasy and this is my favorite sapphic scifi story ive ever read/watched. i want this to be a movie or show so bad. its about a world where some people are people and some are what they refer to as “automa” which are essentially cyborgs but they look just like humans. crier is an automa and the daughter of a king and ayla is a poor human and she has a vendetta against crier bc her father was responsible for her familys murder but crier doesnt know this! so then ayla gets the job as her maid for the goal of killing her basically but of course it gets super gay instead. its such an interesting take on the enemies to lovers trope bc its one sided, cryer has no idea ayla considers her her enemy. also neither of them are white i think crier is brown and ayla is black.

my parents just came back from a thing and they were able to meet up with my aunts/uncles these past few days and apparently my aunt wanted to get me something for my bday and they somehow went from sending me links for rings and necklaces to buying books. which, great, i love books! i struggle to think of stuff to add to my wishlist that isn't books but i open up this gift and it has a tied up guy???? on the cover????? some half dressed dude on the back cover???

and i'm like, oh, interesting, mh and my mom is on the side like "if you don't like it we can change it the young lady at the store heard of that other manga we got you** and she said you might like this, she said she LOVED it, she said it's a love story" and i'm still just holding this huge ass book in my hands, absolutely baffled but hey, surely this 'young lady at the store' didn't suggest an 18+ book as a gift to my mother and my aunt, surely. and as i start flipping pages casually my mom's still going, "we only noticed it's a little out there when we got back home but the young lady really recommended it and you're 26 so.." and she just keeps going and at this point there's no denying what i am holding but mom clearly needs something from me so i try to give her anything lmao

wanted to start off by saying Holy Shit!! spm was a video game me and my sister also played growing up!! we never beat it back then but recently she came home and got me hooked on it again and we played it all the way thru. we also did fun little voices for each character I got to be dimentio so that was very fun ^__^ i think Objectively its not a very hard game (which is why we were able to beat it LMAO) but what it lacks there it makes up for in STORY and super strong characters and i adore it so

HEAVENS TO BETSY! THE DIALOGUE OPTIONS FOR RIGHT BEFORE CHAPTER 8 FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN FLIP/FLOPSIDE?? SHIT HURTED. npc reactions to all the shit going on were so good

one thing i WISH happened tho was. mario and luigi Sibling Love (i mean this platonically i want to specify Just in case there are any weirdos out there) Helps Save The World. i get the whole count bleck mansion part where everyone started sacrificing themselves to save the others which means they care for one another n whatnot which is good great and fantastic However i think it wouldve been COOL to see the whole gang esp the two opposing forces of Mario (prophesized hero color red) and luigi (prophesized Man In Green to contain the chaos heart and destroy the world) contribute to the reformation of the pure heart like some sorta balance between light n dark . BUT ITS FINE i love the game anyway because its probably the longest bowser luigi mario and peach have ever been on the same team

and completely unrelated, the entire premise of luigi being the harbinger of a great world ender is ALWAYS a joy. a fun little recurring gag if you will. like i cant believe this is not the only time he was the vessel for a great evil like what is up with that. every day i think abt that one luigi post abt how he's Doomed By The Narrative TM to be the Evil Twin Brother but he just chooses not to be. never not thinking abt that ever. hes so haunted by like literally everything got separated and brainwashed fought his brother aided in the destruction of the sammer guy world Died went to hell KOed spm satan got revived became GOD then saved the world. and he is some middle aged man in striped socks

MR L. GOD. that fucking guy. hes so lame. i like him so much. his theme goes SO hard in the silliest way imaginable. and i also like how even when he is brainwashed its kinda obvious he still wants mario around (see: brobot, the replacement brother). they fr tapped into luigis need to be useful and used that as is motivation to work for the count. yeowch. mr l to me is just luigi but Lots of parts of him just locked up and forgotten (plus a little minor bit of oh i dont know straight up brain manipulation, nastasia is a force 2 be reckoned with fr) Duno if im making sense here . anyway mr l is so so so hilarious to me because his one liners are so so dumb and i think the gag abt no one recognizing him is FUNNY (EVEN IF i think at least mario SHOULDVE recognized him but WHATEVS).

all of count blecks minions are . SUCH a fun little group. and while dimentio didnt give a fuck about them i still love his dynamic as the court jester whos a little bit of a bitch. the origins of them joining the group are very interesting because ochunks mimi and nastasia had been at their lowest when bleck recruited them and dimentio was like. let me in your emo band. ochunk's warrior code is something i think about a lot. he doesnt got a lot behind the eyes but hes got values he sticks to and i like that a lot in a character. him and mimi do spa days

bleck as a character makes me wanna chew through my walls. in a good way. guys who are slipping and dont want to get back up and bringing everything else down with them are fun and that is all. bonus! he still gets to be Somewhere quiet after the story's over

dimentio has to be my fave of the goons (not counting mr l). not surprising because hes just. so. ...... He is the Way That He Is. his little similes are so stupidly funny for no reason and i think being a Silly Guy and also a Guy With Ulterior Motives are the two funest traits a character can have. His ambiguous past is so interesting like yes bitch hide behind the mask keep cards up your sleeve dont let them know your next move!! something interesting i read somewhere was that. even after luigi the chaos heart and dimentio were separated that there were bits still mixed up between them, linking them not only prophetically but on the atomic level is a headcanon im tucking close into my heart . terrifying as it is super fucking rad !! luigi cannot escape the harbinger of doom allegations

dimentio and luigis entire dynamic is the best thing ever. because dimentio is a goddamn weirdo and luigi is. and i cannot stress this enough. JUST a fucking GUY. luigi is like "ill stop you you ne'er do well!" and dimentio responds with "im killing us both<3ciao!" why does every luigi villain wanna be no children mountain goats with SO BAD. they should keep doing it

god. the way mario is the mc and barely has a role in most of the story other than being The Hero of the Light Prognosticus is both a little annoying and also kinda sick /pos. annoying because mario is one of my faves and i want him to participate in the story more (not really a diss on the writing i just like him) but also kinda sick because . the way everyone in the game talks abt the hero from the prophecy is so. soooooooooooo. god. like everyone in favor of all worlds Not Ending preparing THOUSANDS of CENTURIES in advance just for mario to arrive. Pixls were locked in boxes and hidden away WAITING for him and its like. if he could talk back. i wanna know how he thinks abt all this. because throught the entire story You as the player kinda fuck things up for people in pursuit of the pure hearts. and mario cant rly SAY anything abt it cus its not Really his story, but MAN. what i would give for a little development on his end of the lineup during a few points like 'wilting' king croacus, figuring out squirps is now orphaned because he had to stay alive long enough to help the heros, Luvbis Entire Deal, and figuring out mr l was luigi all along. SIGH

i dont know much about the pixl war, but all of that lore is so cool to look into. ive got like surface level knowledge. even then i only rly care abt the history when im thinking abt the personalities of the pixls themselves. cus like they get their little moment in the spotlight and then they Never speak Again. dottie and cudge and fleep are some of the more memorable ones for me and i wish it was possible to hear more of them. but alas

squirps. :( in my heart. in my heart and soul. bowser takes squirps under his wing. forms an alliance with his kingdom (assuming. squirps takes over from where his mom left off). peach would of course also form an alliance with him. IDK. squirps is the Only One out of every major side character in the game who didnt really get a happy ending. while not everyone NEEDS one i think he deserves one. and in my perfect world he is being guided by two more experienced rulers (bowser isnt doing much in terms of teaching him good diplomacy but he sure as hell is getting him to hang out with kids his age like Jr).

I also don't know how American school works because I am not from there so yeah. So I'm gonna do it based on what my school was like

It had been a tough day. So fucking relentless. It has been the same day over and over again. Wake up, go to school, get picked on relentlessly, go to the grab-'n'-go with Vance, go home, don't eat, cry, sleep. Sometimes before sleeping or a shower I'd inflict pain on myself, but in places that aren't visible like my hips or thighs. I dont need Vance worrying about me more than he does.

It was currently near the end of fourth period and I could hear slight laughing from behind me. Slightly turning my head towards whose laughing I could see Tom, Sophia and Amaya (just change these if they are your names) huddled together looking at me every few seconds then looking back at eachother and whispering something and laughing. Great. I know things won't change soon but it's getting really boring now. Thankfully it's lunch next and that means I can talk to Vance and all that sappy shit.

Hearing the bell signalling the end of the lesson spread joy on my face because it meant that I wouldn't have to deal with the teacher who can't even do a basic lesson and the nightmares that are people who make things unbearable. Rushing to put my things away ,not caring if sheets of paper were crumpled or not, I got up and sped my way to outside and round the corner to the usual spot where Vance and his mates were. And to no surprise they were there. "Did you really skip again?" I said in a joking way because of course he skipped, "now what makes ya day that darlin'?" Vance responds back in the same tone, coming up to hug me while his friends didn't say anything, of course, because why would they question what he's doing when he can break their nose within a second. When he wrapped his arms around me, he must have noticed that they went round more that they would have and the fact that I winced ever so slightly because he must have put pressure on a fresh cut, he froze for a second but then carried in as if nothing happened, I guess it's because there's people around and he doesn't (for once) wanna cause a scene. I stopped bringing in lunch as I though that the meal was useless, so I never ate during that time. Vance had been bringing in slightly more food from the shop than usual and I didn't want to think anything of it until he started to give it to me. That annoyed me because I have been putting in so much effort to not eat during this time because I didn't like how I looked and had purposefully stopped doing what caused that issue for me, and now he was putting it directly in my hands telling me to eat some. "I love the fact that you got this for me, but I'm really not hungry and don't feel like eating it at the moment." Trying to give it back to him, all he did was shrug his shoulders "save it for later, as long as you eat something today then that's okay, can't control when ya eat." God why did he sound so calm while saying this, doesn't he know it's driving me up the wall!?

Walking home with Vance in the cool autumn breeze was always a delight but today just decided to be even more of a bitch. Vance hadn't said a single word in the past couple of minutes and he looked as if he were thinking about something. Now I'm not saying the silence was uncomfortable, it was just a bit weird because we'd always be talking about something. Thankfully we wouldn't be in silence for much longer as we were walking up the small dirt path up to my house. "Hey um, y/n, can I come in I wanna ask you something, just not out here cus I'm kind of cold?" I looked at him puzzled. "Yeah sure come on" walking inside shouting a quick hello to my mum/dad I led Vance to my room and sat on my bed making space for him to sit as well. "So uh what's the thing you wanted to ask me?" God this is gonna be awkward. "Well I've noticed something off about you, and if I'm wrong then it doesn't matter, but you've lost weight and while I can't tell you what to do with your body, you lost it in a concerning amount of time and whenever I seem to put my arm around your waist or hug you, you since and tense up slightly. I just wanna know if everything is okay yaknow cus it may not seem like it but I notice the changes you make." Shit, shit, shit. God how could I be so stupid as to let him notice.

Before I even know it I can feel my chest closing in and Ive got tears welling up in my eyes. How could him saying he notices what's wrong with me, makes me have a minor panic attack. Vance's eyes widen slightly as he realises what's going on and brings me into a soothing hug, gently stroking my hair and whispering words of comfort to me. Slowly I start to calm down regaining my breath, my chest feeling lighter and the tears stopping. Slowly rocking back and forth slightly in Vance's arms staring at the wall. "I've stopped eating Vance." I said quietly, so quiet that I wasn't sure if he heard it. "And I've been... Harming yaknow." He didn't say anything for a few moments. "For how long?" That's all he asks. "The eating, maybe just over a week and a bit. The harming, a couple of months." God why is he so easy to open up to, it's painful but also relieving. "Why darlin'?" I was hoping he wouldn't ask this but I might as well tell him now I'm this deep into it. "Didn't like the way I looked, I looked in the mirror and all that was there was a bitch who didn't look right, who deserved what pain she put herself through." Again there was silence. "You look beautiful, you always have and you always will. There is nothing that can change that, but darlin' please stop inflicting this onto yourself, I'll help you through it, I'll be there for every meal you eat and every milestone you reach in beating this. I know it's gonna take time and I'm willing to give that to help you. Please get better for me, yeah?" HADESTOWN THOUGHTS BC IM STILL VIBRATING

-one of the guys who works at the theater told me this building was chosen specifically bc the mural on the ceiling is of roman gods and. hrgh i just think thats neat

-t oliver reid manages to be just as gay as andre de shields which is the highest compliment i could give anyone ever and hes somehow even more chaotic?? at one point during livin it up on top he just bursted into hysterical laughter and it was great

-jewelle blackman...... ilysm..... shes not as chaotic as amber but in the second act. holy shit. she seemed so elegant and put together in act one and then in our lady of the underground she is a WRECK and its so impactful

-tom hewitt is just. everything i expected tbh. just as good as patrick page but hes a little more dramatic. in videos id seen his voice wasnt as deep as patricks but on stage i really couldnt tell the difference, still very intimidating

-sayo oni is my new favorite orpheus. he just is orpheus to me now. id never heard of him before but hes SO GOOD. he legitimately has the voice of a fucking angel and he takes reeves adorkability level to a 100. he kept randomly hugging eurydice and the way he did it was just really cute?? idk how to describe it but it looked autistic somehow. orpheus is autistic but this orpheus is especially autistic

-jessie shelton!!! her eurydice took the emo level up which i love. evas eurydice is pessimistic and skeptical but still pretty gentle. jessies eurydice is just like. "life sucks asshole deal with it!" shes a lot more rough and it kinda reminded me of the concept album eurydice. she legitimately seemed mad that she fell in love with orpheus lol

-the fates are even more mischievous than i expected!!! i dont remember when but at some point one of them cackled really loudly it was great. every once in a while they would fuck someone over and just go >:3c

-during the first few songs when persephone and hades were on the balcony they were like? playing chess or something? there wasnt anything on the table but the way they were miming made it seem like they were playing some kinda board game. idk i just thought that was funny

-in wedding song when eurydice is like jeering for him to sing and she goes "you wanna take me home?" she seductively pulls down her jacket for a second lmao

-goddd the lighting is so good. i love how in way down hadestown it was flashing red and orange which made it feel ominous yet jaunty at the same time? like both hellfire and a sunset. i wasnt really sure how it was supposed to make me feel and i think that was the point!

-persephone seemed genuinely excited to go back and see hades again! she only got upset when she thought of how shed have to leave everybody else behind

massively mixed feelings on these ai trends and idk what to do with the conflicting emotions

Ik at least a small part of it has to be admittedly like... bitterness? which is never a very good justification so I want to acknowledge it and sweep it aside.  But it is real. the like.. dreamy aesthetic one i dont mind so much for this point because its really easy to recognize but the new ai “art” program that you can input prompts into and it creates a whole thing from scratch- That one gives me a bit of a squick because like... The average person online is ATROCIOUS at recognizing the differences between different media and is SUPER SUPER easily fooled by like, photorealism ad digital manipulations and stuff *already* and I can pROMISE you majority of people wont know when they are looking at a completely AI fabricated image. 

I dont think that the tech isnt *really fucking cool* and that it shouldn’t be used- I can actually think of a ton of applications where it would be really really useful for people in all sorts of fields and skill levels- and I’d love to see it used honestly. 

But what I dont like is that like... slow making art forms and like, techniques that require a LOT of time and skill to hone are ALREADY massively undervalued and being replaced by things that take 0.2 seconds to do with AI and program help now and its like... Very very disheartening as someone who tends to gravitate towards process heavy things. Because speed will always be prioritized in a capitalist environment, these tools will replace artists, and that is a good thing for like, individuals wanting to improve their personal gains, and will make a lot of things way easier for people both skilled and unskilled in visuals generation. Which isnt entirely a bad thing. But it almost assures that like, concept artists and illustrators and stuff will be out of a lot of jobs because like. Why pay someone to go to school to learn to paint it and pay them an hourly wage or contract when you can type it into a program and get a believable image in 30 seconds.  And also like. As much as im very anti-gatekeeping art for like, learning and skill sharing and stuff. I am a little gate-keepy on who should be making art for profit. and ONLY. ONNNNNLLLYYYY. because I worry about the environmental costs of people *producing* just to make money. We create so many objects that just Do Not need to exist and are contributing to massive industries that are decimating the environment. And like I’m not talking abt people making art their passionate abt. Im talking abt like, etsy digital asset resellers and shit. People who make 1000 different merch objects just to diversify their passive income and dont really care abt who is buyig it or why?  Like its admittedly a little pretentious sure but like. It’s also just I have a STUPID sensitivity to the responsibility opf the individual to a point where its honestly ridiculous. I refuse to make art in the medium my degree is in because the environmental cost to the environment involved in being reliant on mining and oil and gas skeeves me out too much lol. which is kinda silly. because you cat really escape it. But I also like. dont have any art to make in that medium that I think the world NEEDS that justifies that. so like. why bother. Where as working in linoleum, its biodegradable, paper is compostable. Like sure its still not ideal and shipping and all that is still a huge impact and inks still require mining. But its a Way more even load of cause and effect so it doesnt make me feel as horrid y’know?  anyway sidetracked. Point being sometimes things being easier and more available isnt like. great. and i really would like to see society push towards *less* and slower more mindful, well researched creation rather than just dopamine seeking creative impulses and monetization.

aka brina rambles, also this is not rebloggable for a reason. this is shit ive worked on for ages. across blogs i have deleted and everything. i dont want random ppl rbing it without permission and taking info and i want it set up so if the info is taken it can still be traced back here. esp with how long ive been deciding on names for those courts lmao. they’re not the most ingenius or anything but i still put work into it yknow.

so anyways basically cassies bio dad vas is ofc a full blood fae, and a hybrid of the two main ‘courts’ by wonderland standards bc ofc im going with the basis that is shown both in syfy canon and ouat canon of wonderland denizens have a very different physiology to other realms, Jefferson in ouat remembered everything in his original life and just had the new memories shoved into his head too which drove him upending, i write that into cassie she has her old memories because of her physiology but the new memories didnt really settle in her head at all, so she only has vague understanding of it all. her twin brother has all his old memories but he also has the new ones so he very much so leans into the ‘im gonna fuck around and see what happens cause this is great’ bc hes a clown, but anyways. and yes i play it as jefferson is from wonderland, i write my jeffy on my sideblog, i also write grace, ima do what i want, but abc kept going back and forth with it, they mention his home in ouatiw but then in ouat they imply hes not from there so they didnt give a shit either, i can do what i want

but again main point, there’s no reason why other realms faeries would have the same physiology as wonderland faeries would, and ive played it into threads too before, the general descriptions of cheshire cats generally lean heavily faerie like, cassie is the cheshire while her twin brother is the dormouse, in syfy verse those are more titles than actual being. but shes a faerie she has an animal transformation which makes that also an actual being, and while her title is generally just ‘cat’ to most people, she is aligned with and technically a cheshire cat, she has the grin they associate with cheshires and she often times acts as a sort of guide, but also a very annoying pot stirrer in multiple ways, and a main thing that i play on a lot is how she guides ‘oysters’ aka humans to hatter, which is something people dont bring up a lot. in aaiw the cheshire cat is essentially toying with alice and leading her on to where she should go, and while alice is following the rabbit, the cat is manipulating the system in its own way as well. im actually gonna go buy another crappy edition of aaiw just so i can annoyingly tab it and stuff and im debating a cruddy paper one or a good hardcover— anyways

so like obviously creative liberties here, faeries arent really canon to wonderland at all but like fair folk magical aspects are still present, like the pig turning into a baby and shit, all the wildcarding that happens. creative liberties, its free media now to do whatever the fuck you want. i know many people hate adaptions and im sorry they hate fun im gonna do what i want.

now most commonly people separate fae by seelie and unseelie, or ‘good and bad’ faeries is often how they describe seelie and unseelie. and whilst im sort of doing similar (but giving them new names bc again, wonderland is not the human land, theres no reason that they have to have the same names) im also adding to it, adapting it, etc etc. Even in the separate courts, there are subtypes, but the royal families of each court would have at least a basic gift with all the powers of the subtypes, which is essentially why they’re the ‘royal family’ despite their own powers being so much weaker than an individual only showcasing one subtype of magic. more equals greater, despite the obvious issues with that, more or less.

The two ‘courts’ or ‘good and bad’ as the ‘good’ would have one believe, the current names i have going for them would essentially be translated to Deyreins, the ‘good’, and Bludveils, the ‘bad’ (i still have to fix the spelling on my bios on the sideblog tho lol). Bludveils centuries ago were cursed by the Deyreins to an eternal binding of honesty, which means they have to be truthful in words, but they can use twist the truth through twisting and confusing tales, purposefully manipulating it to sound like something else while theyre still being truthful, and basically just using loopholes to get their way. And the results of that curse is used against them to frame them as massively villainous, cruel, and evil creatures. What the Deyreins did not count on was the Queen of Hearts using this to further her own gain, and villainizing both sides as a way to essentially wipe them out from the face of Wonderland. Those that are left on Wonderlands main plane hide their species, and the rest had to escape to an astral plane to protect themselves from her.

But a large portion already had to escape because of Cassie’s father. Most will only recognize him by one of two names, the White Knight who destroyed the house of black and gave reign to the Reds and Whites, or as the monster, the creature of everyones darkest fears, the creature accused of slaughtering villages for fun and embarking on chaotic destruction for the thrill, The Jabberwock. By all accounts, he is both. His animal transformation is the monster itself and he was always the one taking the head, but never the one given the crown. Which is ironic given his existence is due to a romantic tryst between a noble of the Deyrein court and a royal of the Bludveil court. The twins didn’t get equal parts of the bloodlines the way he did, Cassandra inherited a lot more Bludveil than Deyrein, the curse affects her too, but Mason got almost nothing from it. It’s recessive in his body, but the curse doesn’t act on him. he has nothing to worry about, she does.

They’re only have fae though, the other half is Witch, their mother is the Queen of Spades and an extremely powerful sorceress, and trysts like that are not meant to happen according to the Deyrein courts, they are not supposed to exist. they’re essentially not allowed to because that threatens the order the deyreins built for themselves centuries ago and regularly slaughter bludveils for trying to fight against. no matter which way its sliced or diced, they’re in danger from just about every single point. if their family bloodlines got out, from the hearts for threatening the fact they stole the crown from the rightful heirs, from the deyrein fae for threatening their control over the other plane because its proof they can coexist in ways other than treaties and threats and submission.

and ofc jack is just a bitch whos mad cassie didnt bend the knee to him, is obsessed with her anyways due to her fae magic, and doesnt want his crown threatened that he never earned in the first place. he’ll say otherwise like ph i played my mother and i worked for the resistance, bitch you stole that land you stole that crown get fucked, anyways.

Synopsis: The Hakkafe has fallen into hard times 😔

AN: I will admit right here and now that I am NOT knowledgeable in the topic of host clubs. I did a bit of research, but I can’t garuntee that this will be accurately and sincerely apologize in a advance 🙇‍♀️. And while I do know OHSHC, it’s also very small. Additionally, this really isn’t my best work (imo) as I technically left this open ended. Think of it more like a prologue of a dating sim of some sort where you select which route you wanna choose. THIS CAN ALSO BE READ AS PLATONIC AS WELL! Thank you for reading!

“HAKKITOS!!!” Hakka cried out, causing the flock of birds within the guild meeting room to bring their eyes up to their leader.

“LISTEN UP!!! WE HAVE BAD NEWS!!!”

In a instant, panicked glances, whispers, and shouts filled the room.

“What’s going on?!?”

“BAD NEWS?!? OH NO!!”

“Please sir, spare us!!! DONT SEND US TO THE BLENDER!!!”

“Fuck- aight who left out our realistic props again?”

“WHATEVER HAPPENS, WE’RE WITH YOU!!!”

“HAKKITOS! HAKKITOS!! ORDER IN THE COURT!” Hakka cried out once more, shaking his hands around as the noise began to die down.

As a smug smile appears on his face for his loyal birds, he faked a cough and put on his serious voice.

“Hakkitos…” The man started “we are currently going through a tough time. I was told by the other boys that the Hakkafe is slowly down in its popularity and money. If we don’t fix this by the end of this month, we are in BIG trouble!”

Lots is whispers scattered around the room, discussing about the matter privately with their fellow bird workers. And far out of earshot where Hakka could hear them. One Hakkito leaned to another.

“Shit, we’re not gonna get paid…”

In response, their co-worker squints their eyes as they returned the look as they furrows their eyebrows, and strains their mouth.

“THAT BOI NEVER EVEN PAID US SINCE LAST MONTH WDYM?!?”

“…according to the reviews of the Hakkafe that I gathered,” Hakka waves a couple papers in his corrupted hand, as he paces back in forth. “We apparently aren’t doing enough to keep up the customers’ excitement during events. We need to come up with new ideas! NEW EVENTS!”

“Fortunately, our fellow guild members gave me some great ideas on how to make the customers Hakkafe experience better! In fact, the first Hakkafe event will start soon within this week!”

Many cheers roared throughout the room, smiling birds gracing the room with joy and relief.

“So?! What’s the idea, boss?”

“Why my Hakkitos," Hakka bends down and gives one a head pat. "We are planning our first event to be: A Host Club!”

There, in the middle of the glimmering stars and bright moon, stands the Hakkafe. The Hakkafe - usually closed around this time - emitted a soft pink and rosy lights from the windows. Some chatter is heard as well as clashes of plates, furniture and glasses being moved around.

Walking on over, you took a look at your pamphlet once more in your hand.

HAKKAFE EVENT: HOST CLUB HAVE YOU 🫵 YES YOU - RIGHT THERE - WANT TO EXPERIENCE A NIGHT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET?! WITH A SENSE OF PASSION AND FUN?!? WELL LOOK NO FURTHER!! WITH THE HELP OF OUR SPONSORS, THE GUILD TEMPUS AND THE HAKKAFE PRESENT TO YOU A LIMITED TIME OFFER! ENJOY THE NIGHT WITH US AT THE HAKKAFE!! As you looked up as you were drawing close to the entrance, there was a man standing near the door talking to a little purple bird on a barrel. His hair is long and grey, reaching his mid-back. He wore a grey striped shirt with black pants and vest with gold accents.

The bird noticed you, pointing their wing over at you to the man. The man, pulling up the rear end of his glasses, looks over and sends out a smile.

“Oh, Ricrowdo! Quick, go on tell him that there’s another customer coming and prepare the table!” The man ushered, shooing his hands as Ricrowdo - the purple bird - jumped off a barrel. As you see Ricrowdo fly away and through the door, the man turns to you as reached the entrance.

“Hello!”

“Hi there!”

“You here for the Host Club Event?” The man asked, noticing your pamphlet. You shot a quick glance at it before meeting his purple eyes.

“Yeah! Who wouldn’t miss such an opportunity?” You replied as you brought it up, with the man nodding along with you. “And you are?”

“Vesper Noir, Scholar of Tempus!”

Your eyes widen up in shock.

“You’re Vesper?! I heard you and Magni were off an a expedition- What are you doing here?”

“Oh that,” Vesper mentioned, scratching the back of his neck. “The boys needed a bit of extra help. Me and Dez are going there by the time the event’s done!”

“Besides, some other members of the guild and people we know decided to take over me and Dez’s expedition while we help out here!”

“Ahem!”

The two of you jumped at the sound, revealing a blonde man in purple attire. The blonde in purple has their back leaned on the door - which is opened; showing a bit of the inside of the Hakkafe.

“Speaking of which, hey Dez!”

“Hey,” Magni yawned and stretched his arms a bit. “Dude, it’s so hectic today… I’m so worn out. It’s a good thing that it’s break time for me-”

“Wait wait,” You brought your hands, and looked at Magni, “Look, I’m glad you’re going to go relax after a shift! Especially since you and everyone is working hard! But who’s-”

You felt a little bit of weight on your head. Your eyes went straight up and see the same purple bird from earlier, sitting snuggly on you.

“Me! Your table is #8; 4th table on the right!”

You nodded. You took a few steps in through the doorframe, only to have a hand on your shoulder. You turned your back, to see Magni. Behind him, Vesper.

“Hey, can you promise us something?”

You turn to face them.

“Yeah?” You answered, “What’s up?”

Both guild members looked at each other, then back at you.

“I know we say this to every customer,” Vesper started, staring directly at you in the eyes. “But, this is still an important promise.”

He took a breath.

“Promise us that you will take care of the boys! All of them!”

You paused, taking in mind of this promise.

“Yeah, please do!” Magni added in, “We know that we’re supposed to be entertaining everyone. At the end of the day though, we’re all people with feelings too! Everyone, like you said, worked really hard! Especially considering the circumstances…”

“Sorry for not being there...” Vesper apologized, bowing his head a little. “But the least that we can do is hope that both you, the guests, and boys have a fun time!”

You didn’t say anything. You simply said the words with a small, yet unnoticeable smile on your face: “I promise!”

Vesper and Magni shot a smile back.

“Then enjoy…?”

“[Your Name]!” You introduced yourself. “[Y/N’s] my name!”

“Well then, enjoy yourself [Y/N]! Don’t you or the boys get into anything too crazy!”

“Yeah, not without us!”

You laughed, right before waving the two goodbye as you entered into the Hakkafe. Inside, is hectic - in a good way!

A lot of people were chattering, drinking, dining amongst themselves. Hakkafe servers were either bringing orders or busy making them. There seems to be a bartender coaching a Hakkito on recreating a particular drink. Some were even singing (drunk or not) songs with such joy and passion. You even took some quick glances at some well-dressed people - assuming to be the hosts/boys the two were talking about earlier - interacting happily with the guests.

As you arrived at your table, you sat down and grabbed the menu right in front of you. It has the title, “HOST MENU” on it.

Your eyes wander around, only to widen in surprise on how high the quality looks. Your eyes stopped at one to take in the details before going onto the next.

✨Regis Altare - The Prince Charming✨ “The hero to your heart!”

Simple, sweet, and matches the theme for his host persona! And by the looks of it, Altare dresses the theme too! Reminiscent of a winter prince straight out of a fairytale, Altare wears a white suit, with both light and dark blue accents.

“Wow!” You mused, eyeing the details of Altare’s illustration. “This looks amazing! You all really did put a lot of effort into this!”

Ricrowdo nodded, and fluttered off your head. Landing on the table, he pointed at the menu.

“The host menus’ are also refrigerated! Anyone who is on shift has their magnet on! Pretty genius am I right?”

That is pretty smart… You thought. You then wondered if the employee putting all the magnets on the host menus had fun with that job. Wait… how much money was spent to make these?! Your pamphlet did say that this event is sponsored, so supposedly the sponsors agreed to the refrigerated menus… Still though-

Shaking your head, you took a look at the other magnets. Next magnet has a man wearing black suit with orange and red accents. There also seems to be a key chain on him. He has his hands in his pockets as he flash a cheeky grin at you.

✨Axel Syrios - Childhood Best Friend✨ “Yo, it’s me! Been a while since we hanged out! Why don’t we grab a drink and catch up?”

Huh, that’s more casual than Altare’s tagline. The difference in their host appearance, taglines, and vibes they give off.

“I’m gonna let you know in advance,” Ricrowdo chimes in, breaking up your though process, “This guy is pretty unhinged.”

You raise an eyebrow.

“Isn’t everyone in the guild unhinged?” You questioned. Hearing a lot of stories of the guild and their unhinged shenanigans aren’t uncommon. And like among most of the population, you aren’t that fazed by it.

“Heh, touché!”

On the 3rd magnet, there is a man in purple, like Magni. However, he has pink and blue in their suit. All asymmetrical, yet makes the suit work. He points to you, glowing with enthusiasm and determination.

✨Gavis Bettel - The Comedy King✨ “WATCH THIS! This is going to be-”

…

“Are you going to…?”

“Nah! That’s all of it!” Ricrowdo waves off with a wing, “That’s intentional on his part. He told us to read it like that.”

“It is?” You were surprised, though considering that there is little context of the line, you were intrigued by what happened next.

The next boy had sported a red suit with a angry face with a slight blush. His arms were also crossed as he looks slightly at you.

✨Machina x Flayon - Bratty Tsundere✨ “Y-YOU HATE ME!”

“HUH?!”

You, admittedly, were taken aback at what he chose as his tagline. Laughing at your reaction, You shot a glare to Ricrowdo.

“What?! You got to admit that’s a pretty good line! Matches up with his host title!”

You rolled your eyes and sighed. As much as you hate to admit it, it fits… in a way. But hey, maybe you can take him! Perhaps the inner wit, pettiness and drive deep down to challenge him for a little fun.

This young man wears purple, just like the previous too. Unlike them, his color schemes include black, gold, and white. He also wears a low ponytail, and faces you flirtatiously with a lavender rose in his mouth.

✨Banzoin Hakka - The Charmer ✨ “The cutest and coolest, at your service!”

“Hey, that’s my creator!” The bird chirped, making happy little hops. The corners of your lips lifted up as you see the little guy danced. Having sparkles in his eyes like a child seeing their parent or their favorite tv character.

It’s quite nice to know that the Hakkafe manager and founder himself joined in on all the fun! Plus, he’s multi-tasking; checking up on all the customers during the host club event while kicking back and having fun! A huge win-win for him!

On the last magnet, another man in a black suit appears. His dual colours are orange and turquoise. The man looks with you with a serene look on his face. He holds a cup in his left hand, with the other on his hip.

✨Josuji Shinri - The Modest✨ | “Hey, it’s beautiful out here tonight; want to grab a drink while we stay up and chat?”

“Shinri and the Koillective really are a sweet bunch! Comfy and cozy vibes guaranteed no matter how afraid you are!” Ricrowdo remarks proudly before smirking, “Though the Kois do look rather puntable-”

“What?”

His eyes averted yours as changes the topic.

“Anyways, that’s all the boys that are on shift right now! Take your time to choose your host!”

After a moment of thinking, you lowered down your menu card and looked at Ricrowdo.

“So?” Ricrowdo asked, eyes sparkling. “Have you decided yet?”

“Yeah,” you leaned back, pointing to a particular boy. “I choose-”

a person who got 71% in first attempt will surely get into a good college. you will get into the stream of your choice in the other exams, private colleges are mostly very easy to get into and their tests are easier compared to jee. and most private colleges also account jee scores and even if you mess up tomorrow your lowest percentile would atleast be 71! and that is a fucking lot!!

and india has enough engineering colleges other than the iits or the nits. bitsat will happen in late may(with a second attempt in june) so you still have time for that. i understand it's hard to concentrate, i am facing the same issue but there a SOO MANY COLLEGES. you'll definitely get into somewhere! but if you are really aiming for the iits and don't mind a drop year then go for it. whichever makes you comfortable. but know that once btech is completed we'll all just be engineers and as days pass by no one will remember whether you passed from iit or amity.
