So I saw the Deadpool & Wolverine film a couple of days ago. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, and I might go to see it in the theaters for a second time eventually. There was so much to see that with my ADHD and memory issues, I keep getting new flashbacks about scenes in the film all day long, and there are several conversations I wish I could rewatch because they spoke to me but I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THEY SAID :DDDDDDDD
So I either go see the film again (let's see what my executive dysfunctions says to that), or wait until it's released on bluray which is probably gonna take a couple of months still.
Anyway, since this is an MCU film now, I started thinking about, well, MCU. I wanna say "a few years back" but it was probably more like, almost 10 years ago cos wtf is time; anyway, back then I at some point had a flu and when I'm sick, I usually spend my time sitting on a sofa wrapped in blankets and watch movies. That winter I was bored and decided to give a try to some earlier MCU films that were on Netflix back then (I had already seen Iron Man, which I liked; and The Avengers, which I hated, and only liked Loki because I just like antihero-type characters and I related to him a bit too much as I was a bitter 21-year-old who was so bored of living in everyone's shadow lol), and I kinda hyperfixated on those. So much so I grew so desperate that I bought the missing movies on DVD only because I NEEDED to see more in order to see the rest on Netflix, and a few from the middle was missing, and I in no way could watch them cos I needed everything to be in the chronological order.
Later I ended up buying every single MCU film on bluray despite hating the Phase One apart from the Iron Man films. Also my sister kept buying me them for Christmas etc.
This ended somewhere in 2019 or 2020, because the last MCU bluray on my shelf is that second Spider-Man film that I don't remember the name of because they all are named so similarly it took me ages to realize there even was a third film out there. And I still don't like majority of the films until Phase Three, where I thought the films started to finally get some character. But there are still some films that just... are not that good. Some of them I have watched multiple times, but with some it makes my ADHD kick in and I just want to roll on the floor in agony when I just think about watching them for the second time cos they are so uninteresting or boring.
So looks like I have not seen a single film from the Phase Four on. The first film was released in 2021 (according to Wikipedia), and honestly, looking at that list of films makes me go both "WTF??????? WHO TF IS THAT???" and "oh whyyyyyyyy D:" and I am torn between my obsession with chronological order - in order to watch something, I HAVE TO watch anything that got released before it. Except that I don't want to. I don't give a fuck about most of those characters and their own movies. Also I have heard so much shit about many of these later films that I feel like they would not even be worth my time.
So might actually change this and maybe one day I will watch the ones that truly interest me. Especially the 4th Thor film. I hated the first two so much (they are not very romance-repulsed-friendly as they literally focus on nothing but Thor and his girlfriend), but the third film was really good because they left out all the useless romance nonsense and made an actually funny and interesting movie. And since the 4th is from the same director, I feel like it could be an okay film too.
I also like Antman's character in MCU and the first film, but I don't remember shit from the second one and I don't know if the third one is any good. But might check that out eventually. Oh and Guardians of the Galaxy films I have always liked, so the 3rd one sounds interesting as well.
Anyhow, Deadpool & Wolverine literally was the first MCU film I have seen since that second Spider-Man (oh and would like to see the third one too!), and then I did watch both seasons of Loki, which I did like actually. So apart from those, I know absolutely nothing about the current state of MCU. I'm sometimes a bit annoyed that DP got added to MCU, but at the same time it gives him so much more freedom to refer to different characters or even meet then in possible future films, just like what happens in the comics all the time. Tho, even with comics I'm often getting annoyed when they put Avengers in the stories cos I'm not here for Avengers, I'm here for Deadpool, so fuck off from my phone screen. Honestly would like to see DP interact move with the X-Men, or even Spider-Man, cos these were THE older Marvel films I grew up with and which I'm way more attached to than the dumbster fire called MCU.

hiiiiiii 🥰
ahh well, I’ll definitely let you know once I get around to reading it!! omg, never let me go is so bleak, so yah, you’ll love it if you love a good cry, like me hehe!
spirited away is literally like no other movie I’ve ever seen, and I was on the fence on whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, I think really it’s a 4.5 but there’s no half a star emoji haha. I’ve had family over so only half way through howl’s moving castle but I love it so far, so think it’ll be highly rated!
eeeek a fellow marvel fan!!!! I frickin love anything fantasy, LOTR, HP ⚡️ so, I don’t have favourites of anything, I’m so so indecisive, but a few of my favourites are cappie winter soldier, (probably the first marvel movie I really loved), thor ragnarok, GOTG, infinity war, civil war, black panther, spiderman. also the disney+ show wandavision is so good! I love scarlet witch 🧙‍♀️ also, I know it’s not marvel, but frickin love into the spider-verse!!! what’s your favourite marvel movie?? and what are your favourite movies in general?
hmm, good question… my favourite lego set is probably my new york set, it’s the first one I made during lockdown and it brought me joy during a bad time!
ah I was so waiting for a good time when I heard the title for the song, and when I listened to it, I was like, I should have known it was gonna be a sad girl summer. I haven’t, I’ll definitely check it out. I love hot ones interviews, did you see olivia rodrigo’s one, it was so funny! I love billie eilish’s new song, happier than ever, but I still need to listen to her new album!
I’ve always wanted to play piano, do you still play? yeah, I really hope she does!! but even if she doesn’t, fans always come through and do amazing versions themselves on youtube, but it would be awesome if she did official versions !!
speak soon, 🦋.
hello love !!
i definitely love a good cry, so im looking forward to getting it !! be ready for me to rant a bunch to you when i finish it!! and yes oh my god spirited away has a special place in my heart 💕 i watched that film during different stages of my life, and ive just grown such an appreciation for it! and im glad youre enjoying howl's moving castle! i really love that film too,,, in general im just in love with every ghibli film asdfsa also! i hope you had a great time with your family !!
ahhhh i see your a fantasy lover!! im not gonna lie, im not much of a fantasy fan and also havent actually finished the harry potter books/films but im always amazed by the people that are! i just know i wont be able to remember all of the lore 🤧 marvel lore is already enough for me sadfas and ahhh your taste is just ✨✨ im happy to hear that youre enjoying wandervision !! i dont have disney+ so i havent actually watched it yet,,, but im glad you like it! and oh my god i still gotta watch the spider-verse too asdf ive been so lazy with watching things these days lmao and even tho i agree with you that its impossible to choose any favourites, i do think that the first GOTG film is my favourite! its pretty much the first marvel film i ever saw and i just fell in love 💘💘 and aside from the marvel films, i really love romcoms !! my favourites are probably 500 days of summer and about time! both have a very special place in my heart because theyre just so goddamn great 💓 i also absolutely love the ocean's films !!! i think ive rewatched these films about a dozen of times now,, like whenever i dont know what to watch ill put it on! and obviously also spirited away ✨
ohh i see !! i just googled it and the set is so pretty! im glad to hear that it brought you joy during a bad time!!
and yeah stoned at the nail salon could have either been a really happy or sad song,,, and honestly with lorde i was expecting the latter LMAO and yes please do check it out!! it was a lot of fun!! and yeah ive seen olivia's hot ones interview !! now that lorde and olivia have done it im just waiting for a certain miss taylor swift to do it too to finish off the trio 👀 and right! i gotta listen to billie's new album too!! i really enjoyed her first album, so hopefully ill get around to listening to it soon! have you listened to it now? if so, what are your thoughts?
no, i quit around two years ago,, to be honest, i never wanted to learn in the first place asfds i was kinda forced into it by my parents rip and never really developed much of a passion for it 🤧 but if you wanna play piano, im sure you can teach yourself !! i feel like piano is a rather easy to learn, at least compared to other instruments! have you looked into that maybe? and if you dont wanna teach yourself, taking a couple lessons and learning the basics should be enough for most people !! i hope you get to around learning the piano one day !! im sure youll enjoy it because it really is a beautiful instrument 💘
anyway, please have a nice day love!! love you lots 💓

Okay. I’ve allowed a night to let everything sink in. I’m ready to talk about Endgame now.
*cinemasins voice* spoilers!! (duh..)
so the wounds are still fresh. v v v v v v v v v fresh. but my thoughts during the entire movie were just OMG IM TRYING TO REMEMBER EVERY SINGLE THING THAT IS HAPPENING SO I CAN REMEMBER IT AS LONG AS POSSIBLE BEFORE i inevitably go see this movie again
This is what the movie reduce me to like 99% of the time btw
Tumblr media
now, I’m gonna try and break this up to be as organized as possible into 4 main sections which will be general thoughts, the highs, the lows, and closing thoughts. that may sound organized but I promise it won’t be and as always I’ll have to use bullet holes to even stay relatively "organized"
I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out that I either loved or would wanna discuss but tbh the ENTIRE FILM i was just like GOD I WANNA REMEMBER THIS FOREVER!! Every scene that happened i was like god there's still 3 hours of stuff that's going to happen but I want to remember it all!!!
Overall
this movie was good. and i’m mad it was so good and i found it so enjoyable for how dirty they did me. The pacing was pretty well done for a first viewing, but I'm sure after a couple rewatches I'll get caught up on the occasional misstep in the pacing and general direction the story took, but I really liked it!!
I thought the Thor stuff was kinda distasteful and honestly a joke that ran too long. Like ha ha okay we get it but also? He went through so much fucking trauma can we just lay off him? Damn? I don't wanna linger too much on it bc honestly the more I think about it the more I get upset the russos did him dirty
all the callbacks??? made me so emotional????? eleven years and almost two dozen films guys holy fucking shit it felt like such a good homage to bring stuff back
Yo literally when they went up to busted ass thanos i leaned over to my bf and whispered "are they just gonna kill thanos in the first ten minutes is that allowed" and uh YEP! WOW
Also the opening scene being Clint's family getting dusted... gasps in my theater y'all they went in hard on us
TIME HEIST!!!!!! FUCK marvel knows how to take you on a fun journey!! The concept was so fun!!
I also appreciate them mixing up the plot a bunch to keep us guessing!! Like fuck, when Thanos was finding out through Nebula... future nebula talking to past gamora i was SO SOFT... sisters...
Hulk was... weird. It felt a weird kind of fanservicey for a little bit, and honestly a little out of place? But. Eh. Wasn't the worst part. Certain parts of it were fun! I think I got used to it haha
Everyone looked. So good. After the time jump. Damn. Thank you make up department for everyone's new looks. I live for silver fox tony always.
I loved seeing Loki again i know it was so little content BUT I DONT CARE I'LL ALWAYS LOVE MY FUCKING PRINCE
We didn't get as much Nebula and Tony content as I was hoping but god it was so cute and tender in the beginning. Imagine all that bonding. Nebula finding tony on the floor, knowing he's on the brink of death, and propping him up in the seat :'(((( tony helping fix nebula :(((( the father daughter relationship we deserved and didn't get to see come to fruition.
AMERICA'S ASS. THANK YOU SCOTT LANG.
All the New York flash back was so fucking fun. The elevator scene. Brilliant. I really thought they were gonna recreate but it was such a fun tease. Also cap making fun of his past self for saying "i could do this all day" I SCREAM why do the Russo's get steve so well
Carol taking a direct punch in the face from Thanos without even flinching? We stan a goddess
ALSO SHORT HAIRED CAROL YESSSS I LIVED!!!!! YES!!!! (But also that movie could've used like way more Carol thats just mY OPINION)
Also AGAIN, I DON'T CARE THAT IT WAS FAN SERVICE, STEVE WEILDING MJOLNIR WAS E V E R Y T H I N G. They have TEASED US since that one middle avengers movie we don't talk about that he was worthy and!!! Our!! Son!! Is!! Fucking!!! Worthy. And the scene of thor making him swap w/ him "you get the little one" i screamed bitch
also I was living for how much Steve swore in this film lol literally fuck joss Whedon's characterization we don't know her!
Valkyrie on a Pegasus thank you THANK YOU i was living
That entire final action scene..... holy fucking shit y'all. It was just crazy enough without being too crazy. I loved the callback to the original long continuous shot
THE HEAVENS OPENED UP AND SANG WITH THAT A-FORCE SCENE. YES. ALL THE MARVEL LADIES LINING UP. THEY ARE HERE AND THEY ARE THE STRONGEST OF US ALL. A-FORCE. FUCKING A-FORCE. Thank you Russo's for my LIFE
Carol's little "hi peter parker :)" god i love them. I love peter. My fucking spider son. I missed him so much. I missed Tom Holland's sweet peach little face AH I CRIED WHEN HE SHOWED BACK UP
Also last kind of ~general~ thought i know i don't get time travel at all and it is an instant way to confuse me in any franchise but wouldn't steve doing what he did fuck literally everything up idk we'll get to steve in a bit
Highs
morgan
H.
fucking
stark
I CAN’T BELIEVE I GOT FED WITH SUCH GOOD TONY CONTENT THIS FILM ONLY FOR THEM TO STOMP ON MY HEART LMAOOO
DAD TONY BEING AS LOVING AND DOTING AND SWEET AND TENDER W/ HIS DAUGHTER AS WE ALL HAVE HEADCANONED HIM TO BE FOR YEARS!!!
TONY GETTING HIS JUSTIFICATION IN BEING MAD not just mad but PISSED at Cap for how everything fell out. catharsis. felt good scoob.
speaking of good tony content of course i need to just take a moment to YELL ABOUT STONY thank you russos for the fan service thank you for having tony ogle and comment on steve rogers’ ass it almost makes up for all the pain and suffering
btw do y’all think the H. for Morgan’s middle name stands for Harley because I LIKE TO THINK SO
also am i lowkey annoyed that like half of viewers won’t recognize an adult ty simpkin at tony’s funeral at the end even tho i know i shouldn't be because ot everyone is a die hard BUT half the articles im looking up for reviews and shit of that scene literally all the results are “SO WHO IS THAT KID AT THE END OF ENDGAME” YOU FUCKING FOOLS IT’S TONY’S FIRST BORN SON HARLEY KEENER FROM IRON MAN 3. FUCKS. im getting off topic anyway i was just happy they brought him back because I am an iron man 3 enthusiast and his relationship with tony was SO important and this confirms that at the very least tony kept in contact with him over all these years!!! and he wasn’t just some insignificant blip
Not to be stony on main but steve being the first person to hold Tony again once he was back on earth :)))) wrow.
Also the first thing tony telling him being "I lost the kid" WOW BREAK MY HEART MORE HUH!! WHY NOT!!
The first thing Peter doing when he saw Tony again :'') just rambling about everything that happened and tony just so happy to see him alive and hugging him so tight I'M NOT FINE!! NOTHING WILL EVER BE FINE AGAIN!!!
I appreciated the closure with Howard like?? A lot?? I'm the last person to be a Howard stark apologist, but I think his character and his relationship w/ Tony and how Tony viewed him as a father and as a man was so well crafted throughout the series??? Idk I liked that scene it was good to my baby.
And now a pOSSIBLY CONTROVERSIAL~~ opinion but..... I loved Steve's ending. I really did. I thought he got a beautiful and fitting ending and I was so happy. It meant so much especially to hear his reasonging being that in a way, he did it for Tony. He was inspired by what Tony told him. He saw Tony get his happy ending and for so many films now Steve has been searching for that and he missed an entire life. Tony helped him realize that. It just made me!! So emo!! Like Bucky's face when he knew Steve wasn't gonna be coming back. Steve's last convo w/ Sam. It was just amazing. I can't believe I'm seeing hot takes from people calling Steve selfish or blaming the fact that the Russos have a boner for Steggy or whatever. Who cares!!! Steve got his happy ending and it was well deserved and a wonderful arc!! Lay off him bc you ship him w/ Bucky or tony more damn!!!! (Idk about the timeline y'all dont come for me i really have no idea i think the Russos just said fuck it for that one even when talking about not fucking up the timeline)
Lows
Natasha deserved better. She did. I understand why they took her character arc the way that they did, and honestly, this is the first time I've felt we've seen Natasha have even a modicum of actual character traits since like, Iron man 2 and Avengers 1. She found purpose in keeping the family together and trying to help the people left living, while never stopping or losing contact with anyone else in their endeavors to fix what Thanos broke. As tired as I am of seeing a female character die for ~man pain~ this felt like so much more than that. In the end Nat wanted to sacrifice herself for the greater good, and that's what she did. I'm still fucking upset though, even though they've butchered her character across almost all the films she's been in
Thor being turned into an entire fucking joke. That's it. I got nothin left for the writers at this point.
So..... let's talk about Tony's death, shall we
"You can rest now" broke me. It truly did. I've never loved any fictional character across any medium as much as I have loved Tony Stark. But Pepper's line at the beginning "you'll sleep, but will you rest?" Is so fucking telling. I think I immediately knew for sure in that moment. Because she's right. And that's the worst part.
Peter :)))) finally :)))) calling :))))) tony :)))) by :)) his :)))) first :)) name :))) as he was dying :)))) asking him not to go the same way he told tony he didn't want to go when he was getting dusted GOD. AND WE THOUGHT THAT SCENE IN INFINITY WAR WAS ROUGH. HAD N O T H I N G ON THIS.
No offense but where was Rhodey when Tony was dying lmao ok
That funeral scene.... seeing everyone there drawn together..... god. It was beautiful. It really was.
Of course I'm not happy. I'm extremely fucking upset. I knew tony wielding the gauntlet would be coming, but I thought they would find a way for him to make it out alive. As soon as they were showing that even the hulk couldn't handle it with the gamma radiation, I knew the nail was going to be in the coffin.
All that aside... what I can say, is that if they HAD to kill him off, I think it was a proper send off. We saw so many arcs of Tony's come to a close, and I knew it was just a matter of time. Also that being said, I really don't believe in death being necessary to end a character's arc. Yeah yeah blah blah we get the sad and tragic but TRUE message that at the end of the day death is inevitable and that tony had to sacrifice himself for the greater good. He and Strange both knew it, and as soon as Strange held up that finger I knew that was it for him.
It wouldn't be so hard if they hadn't given us everything they did with tony after the 5 year jump. He healed. He was HAPPY. But pepper was right, and as long as Tony was alive... he would never truly /rest/. And that's the only way I'm able to make peace with this death. Tony has always been a character who was just going going going, never going to stop even if it killed him, all to protect the ones he loved, and protect the whole world and make it a better place. He had a beautiful story that was told so well over these past eleven years, with admitted shortcomings here and there. He had the most cohesive trilogy films, the best character development and arcs, and an incredible portrayal. I'm grateful for it, but that doesn't make it any easier that they decided to go and show us that Tony was able to FINALLY settle down with Pepper and see him find the best version of himself as a husband to her and a father to his little baby girl. A baby girl that now has to grow up without her dad, and pepper has to go on without her husband, the love of her life. It's fucking tragic and honestly, we didn't need that imho lmao
The hardest parts is that like.... idk. I feel like the only reason they killed him is for shock factor, but somehow without the shock? A lot of us felt or were worried that this was coming. I think the russos and co. We're just totally set on the idea that like... tony HAD to die and that was the only way for this arc to come to a close not just WITHIN the universe, but meta, outside of the MCU as well. They did the same thing with Hugh jackman as Logan and that shit HURTED me y'all. Eleven years we had RDJ give us this amazing character and he is the SOLE reason the MCU is where it is today. So you know what, the Russo's and everyone can circle jerk about how much ~poetic justice~ there is in this ending for Tony, but at the end of the day... it just ain't it fam.
Realistically I know after wielding the infinity stones there is no way Tony, a human, could've survived, even with his armor on. I knew that. And as biased as I am towards seeing Tony living, if he had wielded the stones and NOT died? It would've felt cheap. So again, if they had to end his life, I appreciate the way they did it and thought it was the best send off they could've given him. I also would've appreciated some kind of alternate option where oh i dont know carol or someone strong enough could've handled the snap and tony could live the rest of his days with his wife and daughter and found family but..... ig that's just me huh.
:(((( Happy asking Morgan what she wanted and her saying "cheeseburgers" SHE'S JUST LIKE HER DADDY I AM SO!!! UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And last thought is that I fucking cried AGAIN because the biggest applause moment was during the credits when RDJ's name appeared. My theater gave a standing damn ovation. Also the very last sound after it faded to black... Tony hammering away, building the very first Iron Man suit.... that shit hurted.
If any of y'all read this and wanna yell about stuff w/ me I WELCOME YOU INTO MY DMS LMAO PLS MESSAGE ME I NEED MORE PEOPLE TO CRY WITH!!!

Avengers Endgame (spoilers)
So yeah I saw endgame last night and it was really good, it didn’t feel like over 3 hours at all. It made me cry a lot and it has made me think about getting the blurays to the films ones day, either the phase 1,2,3 (and 4 if there is one) or one huge collective one of the films up to now.
I have some points I’d like to make, some good, some bad:
I was really shocked how little screen time Carol got, like she was in the posters and trailers but barely in it, I get after going on the tags that it was a movie focused on the original 6 because some were leaving and she is now part of the new generation so she’s gonna be in future films but I would have liked a bit more, especially in the final fight. Also seeing her with short hair wow!! She has short hair in the comics right? I’m thinking of seeing captain Marvel again if its still in cinema friday since I don’t start till 4 so I could see it before then, I did enjoy cm but I think it missed something to tip it over the edge, I don’t know what but maybe seeing it again I’ll have a different opinion. And also no fury/carol scene???
Wanda!!!!! my baby, my wife I missed her so much and seeing her kick arse was fucking amazing, I was quietly cheering when she came back and showing how fucking powerful she is, almost killing Thanos herself if he wasn’t a baby and made that call (same with Carol she almost killed him but he chickened and did the power stone thing). And seeing her talk to Clint at the funeral. I can’t wait for her tv show and to see her again. And I’m gonna be gay for a second and say with Vision gone can she have a girlfriend now XD I would love to see her and Carol interact.
Seeing Valkyrie again was so awesome I wasn’t sure if she was in it but so happy to see her again, again short time but what we got was good and hope to see her in another film. Plus seeing her on the peagasus was cool also.
That all girl team scene, looovveeedd ittttt I wish it was longer though like three times as long since we see more of the guys fighting and not enough of these incredible women, I hope one day we get to see an all female team film, that would be fucking great. But not seeing Natasha in that was really sad, but I’ve seen posts where they spoke that Natasha paved the way for these girls to be here, now she’s passed the torch over the them, still it didn’t feel the same, maybe if they mentioned her that would have done it. I love it, but it was missing her.
The funny moments like seeing Thor overweight, the american ass scene, when Steve fought himself and baby Scott. When Carol met Peter and Peter met Valkyrie. There were so many good moments especially with the o6, since we wouldn’t be seeing them again.
Steve and Thor’s hammer, that was super cool and I wasn’t expecting that, neither the audience. I’m guessing it has happened in the comics though but really seeing him use the hammer and his shield was really cool, I’m not fond of CA but he was alright in this film actually.
I wasn’t expecting the whole go back in time and get the stones story plot, I thought the whole thing was just going to be finding Thanos and getting the stones but after like 15 mins when Thor killed Thanos it’s like...oh..so to get this plot of them going back in time to points in past films was really great and giving the fans a look back at where they were to where they are now.
I really like the avengers past scene, like when they captured Loki and Clint and Natasha got a drink, and Hulk having to take the stairs, I really loved that scene, Avengers is a film I’ve seen maybe four or five times which is rare for me since I pretty much only see a film once unless I really like it (or need to see it before the next one as a refresher) there was just something about it that really made it great.
The fact that five years had gone, I was thinking there might have been a timeskip but not that much, like seeing Natasha trying everything to not show how broken she was before she spoke to Steve, god I can’t imagine, I thought there might have been because of her hair but not that much. Cassie being older I don’t know if the actress just looks older but I’ve been looking up and Cassie would have been 10 in Antman and Wasp so she would be 15/16 in endgame, she just looks older to me. And with Peter and his friends, how does that work with school? their in the same year right? like school year?
The whole Gamora thing...I wasn’t expecting that and I’m not sure what’s going to happen now. With GOTG 3 does this mean it’s going to focus on finding her? And will Nebula be with her or them, I can’t remember if she was on the ship at the end I think she was. I just wanna say I’m happy for Karen getting such a huge job in this like she was in endgame a lot and being a dr who fan I’m happy she got this role and for her to be succeeding.
There are probs more things I can mention if I remember but you know what I need to mention, who left. I was expecting Steve to die at least, what happened to him I’m happy, it was so good to see Peggy again since I really enjoyed the Agent Carter show before they canceled it, it was a beautiful way to end his story. He went back and replaced the stones and decided he wanted the life he wanted even if it meant leaving everyone behind. It was a nice send off for him and him giving the shield to his friend was great. Maybe my opinion on Steve will change when I watched the past films again I don’t know but yeah he got his happy ending.
Tony.....well I fucking cried when he died, I wasn’t expecting it because I only thought Steve would and when it happened oh man seeing him after the snap like just out of it and Pepper being with him, when she said they would be okay and he can go, yeah that did it for me. He got the life he wanted, he got a daughter but he’s not gonna see her grow and I feel bad for them, but seeing how he was from the first iron man film to now how he’s changed. And using that I am iron man line that was fantastic. I didn’t want him to die, retire and go somewhere yeah but not die, but he did save everyone and it had to be someone. His legacy will live on.
What I wasn’t fucking expecting was to see Natasha die...like...when I saw that scene I was in shock, I think I got teary but not full blown because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, like it didn’t hit me till after the film finished that she was truly gone. I felt terrible for her because she sacrificed herself for her family, she didn’t have a family like Clint or Tony had, she didn’t have the best childhood and did many things she probs wasn’t proud of but for her to sacrifice herself so everyone could come back and her family can reunite was so sad like, she never got to be happy like finding someone to love and adopt some kids of her own and relax, she didn’t get an ending like Steve, and she didn’t get a death scene like Tony. I think that’s why it shocked me because it was so sudden and I just thought she was just going to come back once everything returned. And after reading some tumblr posts it really made me realise how if it wasn’t for her we may not have the female characters we have now, she started that and gave us the girls we have now. And its even more incredible sad she never got to be part of the final fight, that’s what really annoyed me, she didn’t get to be part of that all girl scene, didn’t see them won, or see them come back. I felt like she didn’t get the ending she deserved but given and ending she had to have because they needed someone to sacrifice. Natasha is one of line of girls who helped me realise I’m gay and now there are girls that are continuining that line not just in marvel but everywhere. I kinda pulled her to the side once Wanda came but seeing Endgame made me think how she meant to me then and when I rewatch the films I won’t forget it. When they announced they were finally doing the Black Widow film I said how I wanted a Wanda Maximoff film instead, but now after watching Endgame I can’t wait for it, one final send off from her.
I think that’s everything really, I look forward to the next generation of films and characters, hoping for more lgbtq+ representation and everything, bringing me more girls to love and future films to enjoy. This was quite a ride, I wish I was more invested in Marvel, but maybe I can look into the comics and try a few :) Thanks for these long years o6 and heres to the future.

my summation + overall thoughts of avengers: endgame
including: what i found wrong with endgame and why i am currently refusing to acknowledge that it happened.
okay i wrote this a while ago but after i never actually got around to posting it so here it is.
first off,, i will once again introduce myself since this account is fairly new. hello, my name is mackenzie, call me mackenzie, or zie or mack or whatever you want. this was originally to be my main acc after i deactivacted all my old tumblrs because i planned to start fresh on tumblr again and after watching endgame for the second time last wednesday, this account became a marvel acc strictly so !! yeah follow me lets be friends !! message me whenever if you wanna talk or cry or anything.
to put it bluntly,, endgame fucking sucked.
endgame was meant to tie everything together. endgame was meant to be this great movie to sum everything up and tie it all together and to just make it make sense in other words.
there was so much hype surrounding endgame, so much pressure, so much excitement.
in my opinion? the joint effort of the writers and the directors managed to ruin it all. they managed to take a movie that was supposed to do so much for the mcu, to tie everything together as a final conclusion to this infinity saga and they blew it all up.
endgame wasn’t a horrible movie, but there were multiple parts that i (and multiple others i know of) did not like and i will be going over it in this post.
it’s not just because of steve’s ending, which i know, i know, i’ve bitching and crying about that for a while on this account. it’s more than just steve’s ending.
this post is a little all over the place but i’ll try to keep my thoughts together the best that i can.
just a disclaimer: UNDER THE CUT I WILL BE TALKING IN DEPTH ABOUT THE EVENTS OF AVENGERS: ENDGAME AND THIS WILL INCLUDE MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MOVIE SO PLEASE BE WARY. (if you haven’t, seriously where the fuck have you been) BUT IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN ENDGAME AND DO NOT WISH TO HAVE IT SPOILED PLEASE SCROLL PAST THIS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
okay here we go !! so i made posts before about this but this is gonna just be a big long post about EVERYTHING and i’ll explain everything and why endgame sucked.
originally i had decided to go through scene by scene and talk about each scene but i mean, that’s not really the point of this post and frankly, doing that would probably make this post longer than i want it to be. so i will be focusing on the important scenes. the ones i think are most important to point out and talk about.
as i mentioned above the cut, it’s not just about steve. i know my user is peachrogers and steve rogers has always been my fave avenger. but its more than just steve’s ending and i’ll get into that as we get to it.
i used a transcript while writing this just to help me completely recall everything as it actually was since i don’t consider my memory completely reliable so i linked it if anyone else wants to look at it.
and again, as i mentioned above, i don’t hate everything about endgame. there were parts of endgame i did like and enjoy. tony and nebula playing paper football for example, i thought that scene was very endearing and adorable and carol coming to save them really made me happy.
but at the same time, there were scenes i did not enjoy. and i will be mainly going depth on those scenes since i kinda wanted to just summarize and explain and captalize on why endgame failed at doing the job it was meant to do in tying together these 22 mcu films released in the past 11 years.
so starting at the beginning of the film, after they find thaos and thor chops off his head and they have a five year time skip, we see steve, in a group therapy session.
where steve once again brings up the love of his life and how everyone has to move on. which SPOILER ALERT he doesn’t. this scene, when i first watched i was kinda like whatever, but watching it the second time and watching it now(or even thinking on it), it makes me SO SO mad. pretty sure they kept this scene bc one of the directors is in it. this scene also just makes steve contradict himself since he goes on about how important it is for to move on and yet he just doesn’t even follow his own advice in the end and it aggravates me which i will get into later on.
so skipping to after scott comes out of the time machine van and then steve goes to visit natasha. tbh everytime i watch this scene with natasha and steve, it always just breaks my heart because of the whole:
you know, i keep telling everyone they should move on and… grow. some do. but not us.
(there steve goes again just contradicting himself:(()
and
we both need to get a life.
you first.
and i remember reblogging a gif set of nat and steve with the same caption and i just :( bc of where they end up in the end and it’s just its really sad.
seeing tony and pepper with morgan and the fact that tony has finally achieved a level of normalcy where he has his own life with his wife and his child, it’s really nice to see. he definitely deserves it. and i completely understand tony shutting down steve, nat, and scott because he doesn’t want to risk everything especially if it doesn’t work and he ends up losing it. and i totally understood that.
the diner scene where nat, steve, and scott go to talk to bruce about time travel. first off, i just wanna point off how annoying that scene was ?? especially the part with the kids and them not wanting a pic with scott and apparently they only kept that part in bc one of the kids was one of the director’s kids?? there’s just so much wrong with it.
and now i move on to the great marvel cinematic universe version of time travel. which in itself really hardly makes any sense whatsoever since the directors and the writers both contradict each other on how it works. if you’re going to put time travel in your movie, i really feel like everyone should be on the same page on how it works but i mean, that’s just me.
it took me a little bit to understand it bc what the fuck.
the scene where clint, rhodey, bruce, nebula, and scott are discussing how time travel works and rhodey is just naming off all these time movies where time travel works the way that i see it as working(where your past completely changes your future/butterfly effect/chaos theory) and bruce and nebula basically debunk the whole thing and explain it as how changing your past doesn’t change your future and all the whole thing is just bullshit if you ask me. it’s so hard to understand.
okay im not here to argue about time travel. but let me just give some perspective. for me personally, i just see time travel to work like it did in life is strange because it makes more sense. if you change something in the past, that would directly impact your future. if you go in the past and prevent someone from dying, that would not just change the fact that they didn’t die but other factors would be affected too.
and when they brought in the alternate timelines and the “multiverse” it just made things so much more complicated for me.
and i have tried to educate myself more to understand it, i’ve read through multiple posts on the whole time travel thing and i’ve rewatched movies as well to try and understand.
i guess the biggest thing that didn’t sit well with me is just that the directors and writers WHO YOU WOULD ASSUME would bring some clarity and insight on the matter really just brought more confusion and only contradicted each other and i do Not Like it at all.
but i mean who cares about what we want ? it obviously doesn’t mean shit to them.
moving on.
uh lebowski thor idk at first i really wasn’t into it and i was kinda like wtf but i mean i’ve kinda come to be cool with the change in character. and apparently chris hemsworth was really into it so idk to each their own.
and just for the record: i think we all know that Noobmaster69 is deadpool
also i fucked loved the america’s ass joke but i’m pretty sure everyone did.
okay moving on to stony going to the camp lehigh in the 1970s. really i just want to address the scene where steve hides in peggy’s office. you see on her desk that one picture of steve and the picture of her kids and legiT PEGGY WAS RIGHT THERE IN THE OTHER OFFICE HOW DID SHE NOT SEE STEVE WHAT THE FUCK
god idk just thinking about how it was the 1970s and she still thinks about steve who tbh she hardly knew, especially if you compare him to idk daniel sousa ?? and steve saw the picture of her kids and he still was like lol yeah not moving on.
natasha dying okay yeah that was hard to watch. especially since she got nothing for it. tony gets a whole funeral with everyone and yeah ig she got that one moment with the five of them talking about trying to bring her back but that was it and i hate that. natasha deserved more love more attention more recognition way way more than what she got.
ON YOUR LEFT
okay idk how people heard steve’s avenger assemble when the fucker literally whispered it.
i mean it was really nice seeing everyone coming together and fighting and idk it was just everything to see the final fight against thanos.
ALSO CAP WIELDING MJOLNIR
tony dying, like i definitely did cry and it was sad, but in a way it was okay because he did it for them he did it for everyone.
there was an interview with the writers who said there wasn’t a draft where tony didn’t die and i don’t doubt it because i mean, i think it was needed. i think tony needed to be the one to do it.
and now we get to my favorite part. you know, the worst part of the movie. where steve just ruins everything.
in the process of returning the infinity stones, steve decides to create an alternate timeline with “peggy” and live out his life with her in that timeline while actual steve of that timeline is in ice.
okay listen i was cool with the final dance, i think that was definitely needed and it would’ve been a perfect end for steve to do that and return and idk give up captain america. but instead NO THEY HAVE TO DESTROY ALL OF captain america’s character development, all of peggy carter’s character development, RUIN BUCKY AND JUST RUIN EVERYTHING THAT WASNT OKAY I AM STILL JUST SO UPSET BECAUSE FOR STEVE TO JUST THROW EVERYTHING OUT THE WINDOW AND BE WITH PEGGY IN A DIFFERENT TIMELINE ITS NOT SOMETHING STEVE WOULD DO
we all know that is not something steve would do so it just it killed me and the directors hardly even gave an explanation for it and idk its just its such a let down and im just im not okay with it and i won’t be for a while. steve has always been my favorite avenger and for him to go out like this. its so disappointing, steve rogers deserved a better ending than this.
endgame sucked and its gonna take me a while to accept that endgame actually happened.

THE AVENGERS (2012)
AKA: Everyone has to deal with Thor’s dysfunctional family.
(Spoilers for the Avengers!)
I’ve really been looking forward to this one because it’s definitely one of my favorites of the MCU, and it’s one of the only ones I’ve seen multiple times.
Part of the reason I love it is, admittedly, because it’s Joss Whedon. Y’all know I’m a big Whedon fan, but I think he works best in small doses. He can be trusted with one movie, but maybe not sequels (we’ll get to Ultron in a couple days), and his TV shows tend to go off the rails a little after a few seasons (lookin’ at you, Angel). But I think he did a great job with Avengers! I’m sure it was difficult to merge all these characters coherently.
In fact, that’s one of the other reasons I love this one--it’s a really strong ensemble cast, and it feels like a big crossover, seeing all these characters that we already know meet each other and interact.
First off, it’s really great to watch this right after Captain America, because now in Avengers, we see him a little out of his element, still adjusting to a world that’s moved on without him. His hopeless confusion at modern references is funny, along with his excitement when he gets the Wizard of Oz joke.
Tony seems a little too intentionally disruptive at times. I get that he’s not much of a team player, but like, trying to bring the Hulk out just for kicks and giggles seems like a stupid move.
People have criticized the fact that Tony and Steve are so argumentative that we never get to see them really be friends, so Civil War packs no punch. However, I think it’s understandable at least in this one. They’re very different people and with Tony’s lingering father issues, I can see how finally meeting the boy scout that Howard Stark idolized and just being completely irritated by him makes sense. It sounds like Howard (at least in Tony’s eyes) never shut up about Steve and how great he was, while simultaneously shunting Tony off to the side and treating him badly. To me, it’s perfectly logical that Tony wouldn’t like him.
Also, rewatching this movie, the Bruce/Natasha romance isn’t quite as sudden as people thought in Ultron. Yes, it’s a lot more obvious in Ultron, but I think there’s a lot of subtle moments that set it up in this one. There’s a really great moment right before he fully Hulks out, when she’s trying to talk him down and he looks over his shoulder at her and you can see in his eyes that he’s still Bruce and he really regrets what’s about to happen, then he’s gone. It’s also pretty clear in their first scene, where she’s talking him into joining the Avengers, that they have a kind of connection.
I think the main reason everyone walked out of this movie shipping her with Hawkeye was because it was obvious they were the only two on the team with any kind of history, and we all kind of jumped to conclusions. Granted, there are a few moments that seem a little too close for just friends (especially if one of them is married), but I think we were mostly filling in the blanks. I’ll be honest, I still wanna know what happened in Budapest, lol.
Loki is still a great villain and watching this so soon after Thor, it’s really clear just how much he’s changed in his absence. In Thor, he’s somewhat sane, if a little misguided. By Avengers, he’s gone off the deep end, reciting Shakespearean monologues about how humanity is doomed and needs to be enslaved. Also, right after Thor, it’s even sadder to see just how many times Thor tries to get through to his brother, all in vain.
One thing I don’t quite understand is, why did they resurrect Coulson for the TV show (which, granted, I’ve never watched)? This isn’t a critique of the movie--I think his death had good impact. That’s why it doesn’t make sense that they’d turn around and undo that. But I mean, Marvel doesn’t always commit to its deaths, so he’s not the first character that’s come back from the dead.
I think this is a really strong first ensemble movie. It’s pretty evenly paced, if a little exposition-heavy at the start, it’s not too dark or too jokey, and there’s just so many absolutely Iconic moments that I may have to make a separate post listing them all.
RANKINGS:      Hero(es): 7.5 squabbles out of 10. As a group of characters, the Avengers all play off one another really well, but the movie spent so much time pitting them against each other that it didn’t really give leave much time for their reconciling and becoming friends. I mean, they all got shawarma at the end, but they still seemed like more acquaintances than friends. Maybe Ultron is a little different… I don’t quite remember.
Villain: 8 Tesseracts out of 10. He’s a bit more monologue-y than he was in Thor, but he’s still quite an effective antagonist. I mean, he manages to keep all six of the Avengers busy and turned against each other for most of the movie just by letting the mind stone wreak havoc.
Supporting characters: 6 bloody trading cards out of 10. This includes Fury, Coulson, Hill, Dr. Selvig, and kinda Pepper. This movie was more about the Avengers and not S.H.I.E.L.D., so the supporting characters are a little outshone by the heroes. Pepper is put on a plane right away, Dr. Selvig is working for Loki most of the time, and I honestly don’t remember much of what Hill did. Coulson’s death was a great sacrifice that brought all the Avengers together, even though it was totally undone in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.           Female characters: 5 Bechdels out of 10. This one doesn’t pass the test, but it does have three good female characters in it, even if only one of them can be considered a lead.
Action scenes: 9 punches out of 10. Pretty much the entire last third of the movie is a giant fight scene, and it’s pretty freakin’ awesome. So many great moments: Hulk taking out the giant space whale in a single punch, Tony using Cap’s shield to reflect his beams, Hawkeye shooting an arrow right at Loki (a moving target) from like a mile away and Loki catching it with a smirk before it explodes. Not to mention other scenes like Thor vs. Hulk, and Natasha’s interrogation, where she beats up a room full of men while tied to a chair. Ugh, just great!
Stan Lee: 4.5 cameos out of 5. The fact that he’s playing chess with another old man in the park, and is also super skeptical about the Avengers even existing, is just hilarious.
Charisma: 8.5 points out of 10. The movie definitely feels very complete and leaves you satisfied. It doesn’t really have time to deal with any deeper themes, because it’s more focused on action rather than character. But character development is more left for the individual movies, not the crossovers.
In total: 48.5 out of 65. About 75%. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a much favorable score of 94%.
And that’s the end of Phase One of the MCU. Onto Iron Man 3!

Movies in 2019 Reviews
OK so I’ve decided to try something different this year. I have a page on my blog where I track the movies I watch each year (Movies in 2019). I’m gonna do that again this year but I’ve decided I’m also gonna make a post where I give a little review of each movie.
IRON MAN: I love this movie. It is really such a well made movie and apparently it had no script? Like almost all of the dialogue was improvised? I am convinced that everyone involved in this movie wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes, goes “HOW DID IRON MAN TURN OUT GOOD?!” and then goes back to sleep. Plus watching it now after seeing all the other Marvel movies...it’s almost quaint. The stakes (and the cast) are so small and it’s just really cool to watch knowing where all of this is going. The plot is basically a series of events where everyone not directly involved is probable going “WHAT IS HAPPENING?” and I just really love this movie and I always forget how much I do until I watch it again.
IRON MAN 2: If I’m being honest I probably only watch this movie when trying to do an MCU rewatch. Which means I have actually watched it more than most of my fave MCU films since it’s so early on and I tend to let these attempts slip around The Avengers. This movie can be divided into two sections for me. The first half up until Tony meets with Fury and Natasha in the donut shop is kinda a mess. Like it’s just a bunch of scenes that jump from one to another and I like most of them on their own but there’s no flow. Once we get to the donut shop it’s like everything clicks into place and the movie finally has that, and the emotional stuff finally starts to really hit for me. I think a lot of my enjoyment of this movie comes from stuff they’ve done with it in future instalments like Natasha’s character development, the senator being HYDRA and TINY BABY PETER PARKER, and the charisma of all the actors.
THOR: In the grand scheme of the MCU with all the movies that have come out this one actually ranks pretty low in terms of preference but I still enjoy it. I do think it moves really fast and I sometimes feel it moves too fast for Thor’s character development to feel natural. Like the first Iron Man movie it feels really small scale compared to what comes next, but it works. The cast works well together, especially compared to The Dark World, but you can see why this cast didn’t click as well as the Iron Man or Captain America casts, Chris and Tom excluded. It’s not really an issue for me, I like everyone regardless but I can see why it would be an issue for others. Also I find it interesting how this movie keeps pushing the idea of magic is science we don’t understand yet, when compared to what they do now. Like you can tell they felt they had to work up to the more “this is basically magic you can’t use science to explain this” stuff.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER: This is another example of a movie I forget how much I like before I rewatch it.  I think Winter Soldier and Civil War are better movies but not by much but this one is still really good. It’s very much a self-contained story, which is helped by it taking place 70 years before everything else, even though we now know that it is the first time an Infinity Stone really comes into play.  Chris Evans owns the role as soon as he steps on screen and the way Sebastian plays Bucky in this movie really helps to drive home what he does in later films with how different the performances are.  I do think the film seems to turn away from the Red Skull plotline a bit around halfway through before turning back to it for the climax which feels a bit jarring at times. It also feels like there was more story to tell with Steve, Bucky, and the Howling Commandos than we got. That feeling of there could have been MORE is probably the biggest weakness of this movie.
THE AVENGERS: This is my favourite superhero movie. In fact, it might be my favourite movie period. I can’t think of any other movie that I just smile through from start to finish and if any superhero movie wants to top this they are gonna have to pull of something incredible. The first thing I noticed about this movie is that it hits the ground running. Like there’s no period of introducing audiences to the characters normal lives, it’s just TESSERACT ACTING UP LOKI’S ON EARTH HERE WE GO and that works for this movie. The first act does a great job of establishing each character in their first scene and bringing them all together. The final battle manages to be everything you want it to be and that circle shot still makes me wanna run around screaming. There are some minor characterization issues but they’re so minor for that they don’t even register as a flaw. The only real flaw I’d give this movie is them brainwashing Clint and separating him from the rest of the team for the majority of the movie. I don’t understand why they did that and what it added to the movie. Loki could have easily brainwashed random S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and probably have gotten similar results, but it doesn’t lower its’ ranking because of the sheer joy this movie brings me. Every time I watch it I’m back in the theatre in 2012 in a way I don’t get with any other MCU movie.

Movies, I love movies...
Okay, it's happening again. Getting addicted to thing, I mean. And wanting to share my addiction and shout it to the world but not having even friends to open up to... So, Tumblr, here I'm again, basically talking to walls I guess but it's okay 'cause I've got used to it. (Basically my whole life has been that idk.)
I've had flu for the past 4 days so I've just stayed at home watching tv all day. Yesterday I started feeling like watching those (newer) Marvel movies that I haven't watched before so yesterday, I started with Iron Man 2 (which I also have had on dvd for years but have never watched that) and watched couple of movies I hadn't seen yet and now I'm pissed because I want to watch more and on Netflix (Finland at least) there's every Captain America movie but I really don't want to watch the third one when there's two other movies between them BUT THOSE ARE NOT ON NETFLIX and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life. I want to watch more but I just hate to do things in "wrong order", no ocd here (at least something that ISN'T mental in my life wooohoo), but it's just something I like and what makes me happy. But also annoyed sometimes. You know, I have the second Thor on dvd (I might have a little obsession with pairings and I regretted buying that dvd but I did it just because of the pairing, now how pathetic is that? :DDDDDDD) but I don't have the first one. And every time I see that dvd at supermarkets I just WANT to buy it so bad because it looks stupid to have only tje 2nd in my shelf but I don't want to buy it because only thing I like in that movie is Loki and, yeah, I don't want the DVD but I want it. Struggle is real!!!!!!!!
...so I need to see more but I guess I have to start searching for the missing movies as DVDs in order to watch the rest if the movies on Netflix 😐 (One day, I swear, I will buy that first Thor dvd so it doesn't look so idiotic to have just Thor2 next to Iron Man and Iron Man 2 dvds hnnnnngh---)
Also I struggled because I felt like watching all of the movies in order but I didn't feel like rewatching some of them and I couldn't stop thinking about how this comes after this which I have seen but a long time ago argh what am i gonna do??? Well ended up just rewinding them to see if I remember everything and to see if I had watched through the end credits too.
[[[HERE I NEEDED THE READ MORE LINK BUT FORGOT HOW TO ADD IT ON MOBILE??? Or did the app just change?]]]
About the Marvel movies overall... Well I grew up with "superhero movies" and I'll always be tru Batman fan and I'll avoid this reboot of the DC franchise as I'm this stupid avoid-all-what's-mainstream kinda person who loves to stick to the "old stuff", and I've also watched lots of Marvel movies and have collected some of those on dvds as well.
I'm proudly one of those who love the original Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire. For me it's special because I was 13 or so when I first saw it on tv and it touched me because I was heavily bullied and rejected at school and it just made me feel better to see someone going through bullying and then finally defending themselves.
X-Men was also another trilogy that I used to watch and that I liked a lot and I still do. I have each of them on dvd. X-Men are still my favorite from Marvel and I grew a huge obsession to Deadpool a while before his first movie and there's no turning back, I'm still a huge fan and can't wait for the second movie and if had to talk using internet slang, DP would probably be my spirit animal. I'm still annoyed he has to be just a comic book character but fortunately we have Ryan Reynolds there somewhere which is almost like having the real DP in this world.
With the newer movies... Idk why they never got me. Maybe it's the same as with Batman: I love the Batman universe but I act like no other DC universe existed and I ALWAYS hated Superman (Lego Batman would be proud wait what?) when I was a kid so I guess it was same thing with the X-Men for me. And Spider-Man. Actually I think it's this my issue with not being able to adjust to new things that easily that made me not to be interested in those newer movies and I just stuck to the X-Men franchise and spent my energy for new things with Nolan's Batman trilogy.
I don't even know why and when I got that Iron Man dvd but must have been my first newer-Marvel dvd. I guess Robert Downey Jr. was the biggest reason and honestly, I still don't know if I like Iron Man because of Iron Man or because of Robert Downey Jr. 🤔 Anyway, I like Iron Man best from all these and I actually have liked all three movies too. For me they've been more interesting than... the rest? (of what I've seen so far.)
At first I was also annoyed by Captain America's character and I don't even know why. He seemed so negative for some reason - remember that at that time I had seen him only in the Avengers movie - but actually both of what I watched today were pretty interesting. (And I found a ship and can't see anything from behind it anymore. Probably the reason why these movies got so much more interesting so fast..... Sorry, can't help myself.)
I guess the only movies I didn't like that much were both Thor movies and Avengers. Why? Thor is basically a love story and I can't stand love stories and I can't understand love or romance. So I'm just fed up with all that cheesy romantic love story that I just wanna puke. I don't remember if the second movie was any better. I've watched it only once. But I rewinded it today and it seemed boring, mainly cause I could remember every scene as I saw the little images. And Avengers then? Well it's okay, I guess I just was so inspired by Loki's "You're free from freedom" speech that it woke up the anarchist in me that I can't remember anything but Loki and how I melted into another identity crisis and started hating society for not having freedom over my own life because some idiot once invented money and rules. (I'm too kind you know...) Otherwise it was bit cheesy and cliché, I was able to "predict" what's gonna happen so I was probably great company while watching the movie because I couldn't keep my mouth shut and kept telling what happens and "didn't I just say???" and kept criticizing everything they did cause HOW MUCH MORE WRONG CAN YOU GET? Like what about CPR instead of watching your friend die who didn't even die, what about pulse or breath, you know?
But I don't think these are that bad at all. It's just. Funny to see how the plots are usually built the same way. Evil vs good, two different plots told to the audience and these plots will be connected towards the end. After watching this many superhero movies you just KNOW who will be the main villain in this particular one because of the way they're portrayed. Either something completely opposite loser-like OR something mysterious and nameless, powerful and feared character whose face is not seen at the beginning at all. Yeah, I hate clichés. Also with Marvel (minus X-Men) everything often seem to be so black and white. Either it's bad or good but there's no in-between and good will get bad when infected or enchanted or manipulated whatsoever and in the end they will always be back to being good. (With Batman I love how psychological everything is and nothing is black and white. Same with X-Men, it's not always good or bad but just people being imperfect and different.)
I think the main thing to inspire me to start watching these was the LEGO Marvel's Avengers game, it was about the movies and the levels were interesting. Also a while ago I saw the first Captain America movie on tv but couldn't watch it then and every now and then I've felt like I want to hear his story so yeah, I watched some of these today and was not disappointed, at all.
DISCLAIMER: So these are all my own thoughts and opinions so please don't get mad. Or do if you feel like that? My purpose is not to make anyone mad but just talk nonsense to myself but as I hate hearing my voice, I rather do that by writing somewhere instead of really talking to myself. I hate fighting (but live a good talk!) anyway so take it as honest opinions, just my thoughts written down. Not all can like the same things nor can all dislike the same things either. Thank you.
