The furBaird Family 🦊
Lucy Grays late fuzzy family!
Her momma, Adelynn Blue, and her daddy, Vincent Yale, both her older siblings Olivia Pine and Brody Green. Although not much older, Olivia Pine and Brody Green were from the same litter as Lucy Gray, with Brody Green being the eldest and Lucy Gray the youngest and weakest, often referred to as the runt. She is the runt of the litter. Due to that Lucy Gray was smaller than her siblings and often babied by her mother because of it, receiving more rations and always put under an watchful eye as her mother who worried about her more than her reckless siblings. They got watched by Vincent Yale don’t worry Ever so often both Brody Green and Olivia Pine teased Lucy Gray about her height, though Olivia did so gently with lighthearted jokes, while Brody often went too far. Her mother often telling her that she will grow up to be tall and strong if she eats and sleeps enough which Lucy Gray always replied with a „Otay momma“
It gets dark———
Despite the teasing, Lucy Grays petite stature ultimately saved her life. When peacekeepers hunted down the Covey, her mother hid her in a tight space, instructing her not to come out no matter what. She didn’t witness the tragedy , but she heard it all—the shouting and rifle shots, the screaming and pleading... noises that never left her memory, she fought the urge to call out for her mother until everything went quite. Adelynn Blue Baird lost her life being shot by peacekeepers trying to defend and protect her babies.
Lucy Gray was later found by her Aunt Lorelei Maroon waddling only a few feet away from her mother and siblings, praying to god that she didn’t found or noticed them
She did

Worth mentioning that I'm partially switching doctors bc when I was running all over the place trying to get my surgery shit set up in time, and I went to the bloodwork lab for the second time, I vented just a little bit to the woman who's been working there a long time. being like. I've had to do this and that and my doctor said this and that he can't find this... and she was like
Hmm.
You have Dr. (name of my doctor), don't you?

I haven’t watched it in a while but Zuko and Toph actually should’ve had the life-changing field trip because I really needed her to find out that his biggest problem is a father that demanded his children be the best benders around and kind of envy that, and then I needed him to find out that her biggest problem is parents that believed her to be helpless and wanted to love and protect her anyway and just totally flip out.

The difference between the tragedy of Edwin's and Charles' lives and deaths and what makes Charles' much more compelling to me is that Edwin never had anyone he could trust: he grew up with distant parents who i imagine he saw rarely and could not confide in, then he went to school and was immediately recognized as other in a way he had not fully realized of himself yet and was killed for it, and then comes hell and well who can u trust in hell? Certainly not the things that chase you until your legs ache, and even if your compatriots in the whole ordeal are as innocent as you, trapped in the same technicality, what is the good of trusting them, when they are just as helpless as you?
But Charles? Everyone Charles was supposed to trust betrayed him. His parents were close to him, atleast somewhat, atleast his father was around enough to get sick of hearing owner of a lonely heart, and his mother was around enough to watch his father beat him and be silently horrified and ultimately not do anything about it, maybe she stepped in once and we just never saw it, but I wouldn't bet on it, Charles' mom is 'quiet' that's her defining feature to Charles not protective or gentle just 'quiet', then Charles gets to school and he is popular he has friends! He has people who care for him (or should maybe, as long as he's good at sports like he's needed to be) and then he stands up for one person, because he has always wanted to be good and maybe he trusts himself to do it just this once and his friends kill him and his own actions signed the death warrant and he cannot even trust himself to do the right thing properly (it never got better and then you died)
And maybe, maybe Edwin does it too, with less intention to hurt, and with less knowledge but Charles and Edwin trust eachother maybe more than anything (maybe Charles would sooner slip away from earth's gravity than stop putting his trust in Edwin who he thinks is good and smart and brills and aces) and maybe Edwin still looks at Charles trying to protect him after Charles has had maybe the worst week of his existence and says "that was a bit...... extreme" and Edwin still promises Charles can tell him anything while hiding himself in a way that makes Charles feel untrustworthy
So yeah I'll never stop thinking about the tragedy of Charles Rowland actually 👍 think about him with me

I don't think I've seen you mention it, but for your class!swap au, do you have any idea of what you'd turn the other Bad Kids into?
genuinely love the way this ask is worded first of all. I am like a great magician ur right and the bad kids are my victim. I am like their joker if you will. anyways I do! I've definitely brought this up on this blog before (in nonrebloggable untagged text posts so I don't blame you for not seeing them lol (I don't blame you regardless of that tbh bc that's a weird thing to do)) but the rundown is: kristen -> sorcerer, gorgug -> cleric, fig -> barbarian, adaine -> artificer, fabian -> rogue

Baffling to me that I continue to see people act like rui was even remotely in the wrong for very calmly telling tsukasa off in the main wxs unit story. Rui brings his childhood best friend who he cares so much about to a group to help her start pursuing her dream again and instead nene just gets a repeat of the worst day of her life with the added bonus of tsukasa berating her. Rui had nothing to apologize for & every right to tell tsukasa off. Tsukasa literally agrees that he was being a dick. I love Tsukasa Tenma I think he’s a great character but the way people will go Well Rui Was Mean To Him :( as if the narrative doesn’t very clearly spell it out for you that tsukasa was 100% in the wrong. Tbh Tsukasa was lucky that Rui isn’t a mean person. He was also very lucky that robonene didn’t have the flame throwers yet.
