smt i find very funny is that mapicc, on day 1 of s6 btw, scolded minute for still being attached to jumper and said that he would've easily killed ro if she was there at that moment bc that type of sentiment is stupid. and then he proceeded to never once even try and kill ro all season until like, the last month of s6. it's not even js bc she's been gone bc she's been around him the few times she Is logged in and he's gone out of his way to worry abt her despite them not even being teammates. he wouldnt even hit her w his sword when she asked out of worry of her dying ^-^

“It’s just gone? Like that??” Zam asked, open mouthed in the politest way he could manage. Outright yelling in a meeting like this was definitely not acceptable, but seriously??

“Our sources are reporting that the Pierce Mafia has collapsed,” the captain repeated, visibly shaking in fear. Across the table, Mapicc whistled and sat back in his chair, impressed. 

Every executive sitting at the table was showing various degrees of the same emotion. Shock. The Pierce Mafia was massive, it took up a whole city while Zam’s family fought over the neighboring city with other groups. Its collapse would create an equally large power vacuum. Which, for obvious reasons, was an opportunity. 

Zam’s mind was already racing, their neighboring city had resources upon resources, they would be powerful beyond imagining if they managed to fill the space at the Pierce family left. But how? Could they just walk in and take power? They didn’t even know how Pierce had collapsed, for all they knew the boss and his executives could still be out there. 

Zam turned to his left, looking for the expression on the Boss's face. To his surprise, she was startlingly calm. Every other executive was deep in thought, eyes flicking back and forth as they imagined different situations, but she just sat there, waiting for their attention to return to her. One by one, the executives look to the Boss, realizing she already had a plan. She slowly lifted her hand, scrubbed her nails with her thumb, then said: 

“Get me in contact with Eclipse.”

“I still don’t get why we’re working with motherfucking Eclipse,” Mapicc complained as he slid into the back seat of the car. “Aren’t they our number one enemy here?” 

Zam shrugged and pulled his door closed, motioning for Mapicc to do the same. “An enemy of my enemy is my friend,” he quoted, waving his hands around like that made it make sense. 

“Our enemy is fucking dead, no ones seen Pierce in weeks,” Mapicc pointed out. “I don’t think we have a common enemy anymore. I think it’s just us.”

“We don’t have a common enemy but we do have a common goal,” Zam said. “Pierce's city is massive, we can’t control it and our home city ourselves. We’re letting Eclipse take half on the terms that they help us put down any rebellions, and we do the same for them.” 

“That’s what the Boss told me at least,” Zam finished. 

“How though?” Mapicc asked. “How is this agreement with Eclipse working? They’re a bunch of backstabbers, everyone in Eclipse is a backstabber, how do we know they won’t backstab us?” 

“Mapicc, you’re a backstabber, stop talking.” Came Roshambo’s voice from the front seat of the car. 

“Shut the fuck up Ro,” Mapicc complained. “You’re in soldier mode right now, drive the car.” He leaned forward and tugged on a piece of Ro’s hair, making him shout and whip his hair away. 

“Stop doing that! You’re literally pulling my pigtails right now, didn’t know you liked me like that, wow.” 

“You’re deranged.” Mapicc deadpanned with no acknowledgement of Ro violently switching tones. “Also this is a ponytail.” He reached through the hole between the seat and the headrest and pulled Ro’s ponytail though. As he turned back to Zam and started speaking again, he began to braid Ro’s hair. 

“All I’m saying is, what’s in it for Eclipse besides power? They have enough of that, they have so much of that. Too much.”

“Maybe they’re going to take over our city once we spread our resources thin in the Pierce’s territory,” Ro suggested.

“Ro! Shut up!” Mapicc exclaimed, yanking his hair again. “Sorry!” Ro laughed, “I have a point though!” 

“He does have a point actually,” Zam interrupted before Mapicc could jump over the seat and throttle Ro. He wasn’t sure why Mapicc kept up their soldier-executive relationship when they were in public. Mapicc and Ro had been friends since before Zam met them, so it didn't make sense why Mapicc would want the illusion that they weren’t. But anyway- 

“Ro does have a point but, the Pierce’s city is a lot more valuable than ours. Eclipse won’t be satisfied with just our territory in our city, they want their share of the Pierce’s city too.” 

Mapicc and Ro nodded at Zam’s words, they knew he was right. Or rather, they knew that the Boss was right, she told Zam that. 

“The Boss has a plan, remember?” Zam added. “She already has an agreement with Eclipse.” 

“It’s like she knew the Pierce Mafia was going to fall,” Ro mused to the silent car. 

“I don’t think she did…” Zam admitted. “Or if she did, she never told me anything.” 

“She’s creepy,” Mapicc said bluntly. “No offense,” he added, looking at Zam. 

“Not offended,” Zam shrugged. “That’s my sister, I’ve said worse!” All three of them laughed because it was true! Behind the privacy of closed doors and un-bugged rooms, Zam complained a lot about the Boss. He loved her though, nothing could break the bond he had with her sister. She was just so annoyingly cryptic sometimes. 

“But seriously,” Ro brought them back to the conversation. “What does Eclipse value?” Mapicc and Zam went quiet, thinking. Mapicc was right earlier, Eclipse was notoriously full of backstabbers. If you weren’t officially part of the Mafia, you weren’t guaranteed safety. And you most definitely weren’t safe if you were part of an opposing group. 

Maybe that was it though. It was the same as Zam and his sister. 

“Family,” Zam said. “Eclipse values family over everything else.”

zam who had to learn to accept that mapicc would kill people she's close to without remorse. zam who has forgiven derap for exploiting and lowk being a bad teammate who just lies and lies to build an image everyone keeps telling her is fake.

it's fucking bacon bro who cares. he can do damage yeah, but zam trusted her gut and gave bacon the hearts because of the trust she had in him. the same way mapicc decided to trust flame. she kept a secret from derap that derap ULTIMATELY AGREED WITH, because it kept things entertaining, which ftr isn't her goal but like, whatever.

like, do wrong be wronged, eye for an eye, I fear this isn't that big of a deal right now, like not at all, because if zam left mapicc alone BECAUSE of flame???? why would you EVER consider zam joining him. she left MAPICC because of this kid, like. idk that's just me, it's definitely like, viewers bias but I'm just not all there I think.

When Mapicc did things that hurt Zam she was okay with laying her head low, apologising, changing her morals, working around her oath, and sticking by Mapicc.

Zam did things that hurt Mapicc. They were never directed at him, Often they were done out of refusal to fight him directly. Yet Mapicc still saw the lack of support during Mawn, and how Zam threw hearts at Bacon (when he was their enemy) as betrayal. And was hurt.

Due to Mapicc’s reactions to being hurt being usually violent, and directed towards Zam, it’s easier for his feelings and needs to be overshadowed compared to Zam’s in discussions. Because he sees himself as the victim even after being the perpetrator of some real damaging stuff - stuff that is often way worse than the what is done against him. Because yeah, Despite everything that happened to both of them, Mapicc is sitting on a comfortable 20 hearts, while Zam is on 4 BECAUSE of Mapicc and how many times she has been killed by him. Mapicc’s response to things is usually fighting and violence. He has self preservation and self interest very high on his priority list. While Zam’s n1 response to situations is usually self sabotage. That’s why their conflicts work so well. Zam throws herself at Mapicc many times, and just accepts whatever the outcome is (most of the time she knows she’s gonna lose).

But still Mapicc’s original worries and feelings are still valid. And they come out of a place of care for Zam and insecurity in himself. He just doesn't know how to deal with them. When he’s in a heated discussion with Zam he starts saying how "if killing you is gonna end this conversation, then i will do it” just another way of saying “i would rather hurt you than deal with my own feelings”.

It’s crazy to me that they both seem to not see the care and effort they each put into their relationship. it seems to be all about "who used who more" when, it genuinely is not about that. (Recently yes. Mapicc admitted to using Zam for the flame fight when wanting to cut her off. and yesterday he wanted to use her to get Mane with the arrow cannon). But all this talk about using one another is.. Quite frankly useless.

When Mapicc first mentioned the feeling of being used by Zam, it was all about his jealousy towards Derapchu, Zam’s new 20 heart teammate, and not being included in plans anymore. He felt like Zam was just calling him whenever she was in danger and needed help. Yet during *that talk* After the flame void trap, Zam asked Mapicc to stay by her side, and Mapicc refused. And says “if you ever need help with a fight or are in a dire situation. call me”, when he was accusing Zam of only using him for fights prior to this. Almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy. He only sees Himself useful in pvp. So mainly renders himself available for pvp fights. Or it could be projection? He accuses others of seeing him only for PVP skill. When He's the first one to do that. During the same talk he says “I provide what? pvp skill, that’s what i'm saying bro, that’s all i'm good for” And assumes everyone else does too… And I genuinely think this is what this misunderstanding all boils down to: Mapicc’s insecurities about himself, and his place next to people. After a teamless season, Zam pulling away might’ve gone better if it didn’t, in his eyes, prove exactly Mapicc’s worries. (but he's also an hypocrite as he's the first one to throw Zam away when the empire logged back on).

Mapicc pushes his feelings, and Zam, away. Says he didn’t mean the apology that day, because being angry has always been easier than being vulnerable for Mapicc. And this time Zam just doesn’t take it. All this time of having Mapicc’s insecurities being projected onto her, Mapicc actually uses her for the creeking thing, blows up her flower field and he couldn't be more blunt about his hatred for her, when all she's done is be there for him. And she snaps. “Mapicc should’ve known him this way. He just used me”, and looks back and picks apart every single thing Mapicc has done wrong to her, which to be fair. There is a lot. But also conveniently leaves out all of the hearts he gave her, she leaves out how many times Mapicc jumped back into a fight just to try and save Zam, Even though it didn’t benefit him directly. She leaves out how the other day Mapicc left her a heart in a chest. When you have the full picture you KNOW these two care about each other.

They’re so used to being by each other's side, and so bad at communicating the care they have for one another, that the second something goes wrong all they’re left with is their unresolved feelings, that they never got over, and use it as a weapon to hurt the other.

When Zam accuses Mapicc of using her, he replies “how did I use you, what did I get out of you exactly”. Even telling Minute “how did I use him, he’s the dropper” again giving this image of how he sees other’s (and by extension his) value through their fighting skills. As if "It wouldn't make sense that he would use Zam, because she is not as skilled as pvp as him". This of course isn’t what he actually believes. It was almost what he wanted Zam to believe, (and what he wants to believe himself, but he cannot even stick to this version in his head, as he replies that "I never said you did nothing" to Zam. when that's exactly what he was implying) because that is easier to explain, it makes more sense for “Mapicc” to believe that than for him to admit a “i care about you”.

And when Mapicc was alone with his thoughts, he thought about what Zam was saying to him... Did he actually use her? He says that, if he did, it wasn't on purpose.... Well except that one time. Which he sees as justified since Zam gave hearts to his enemy! Bacon... who... is now his teammate...... huh.... and the team really wants them to reconcile and he realizes that it just not might be his call as he was the one that farmed her until she was at 4 hearts... hmmm........ I'm so excited to see where this will go.

Since the very start of the season, Pangi has been the exception to everything that Flame does. Flame kills people without mercy and even starts to get angry at the pacifists for being so stagnant, but not Pangi. Pangi is except from his anger, and he acknowledges that Pangi is still a pacifist, but he doesn't want to kill him despite that.

Flame builds up these walls and doesn't allow anyone to really get close to him because he knows that attachment is a weakness. Yet he allows Pangi to drag him out to a random place, and there they just simply make a build together. Flame doesn't build because it's an attachment he can't afford, but he makes an exception because it's Pangi asking him.

In a world where Flame is hunted down by any man that lays eyes upon him, Pangi shows him kindness that he forgot existed out there. Flame quite literally says that he forgot that even he is worth kindness until Pangi showed him that he was. So much for no attachments, but what else was he meant to do?

When the next day Flame is meant to blow up spawn again, he can't help but think back of how Pangi showed him that builds mattered. He had said strict demands that weren't met, so spawn would be punished as a result, but he couldn't find himself to go through with it.

During the time that Flame was trying to organise this huge fight, no one was cooperating until Pangi came along and did his best. Everyone was against giving Flame what he wanted, but Pangi still believed in his words and was willing to set this up for the chance of a safe spawn. Even if that ended up ruined by Mapicc.

After this disappointment, there's a moment where both of them don't really have any important interactions for a long time. But even at this point, Flame refuses to kill Pangi and even lists him as one of the people him and Mane are not allowed to kill.

In a non-serious stream, Pangi is simply hanging out with Derapchu when Flame logs on. Derapchu's reaction is to immediately try and hide because he's afraid of Flame. Meanwhile, Pangi is happily greeting him and asking for Flame to join them. This is also when Pangi asks the hypothetical: "If I got the mace right now, what'd you do, Flame?" To which Flame answers with: "I'd beg you for it."

Even if Flame doesn't immediately notice it, Pangi does and points out how he didn't say that he would try and kill Pangi for it. I believe that if it had been anyone else, Flame wouldn't hesitate to kill them. Flame genuinely doesn't want to kill Pangi, which is something so dear to me. Flame can only giggle in response to Pangi pointing this out, by the way.

Around Christmas and during Mawn, the entire spawn was flooded with wardens, which were even ruining the place that Pangi used to record videos at. Obviously, Flame isn't really supposed to try and get rid of the wardens when he has aligned himself with Mawn, but Pangi is upset at him, so what do those rules matter?

Every time spawn kept getting blown up, Flame didn't do too much to try and keep Mane from going his way. But the time Mane sets Pangi's Christmas tree on fire, Flame immediately tells him to knock it off and even goes so far to fight him off. Not seriously, but serious enough to get the point across. When he notices that Pangi is genuinely upset, he helps him rebuild it entirely even if he never liked to build.

Even with the Lifesteal hunger games, Flame supplied Pangi with ten hearts from his heart supply. That's a lot of hearts to give to someone, even with the promise of getting them back once it's over. Flame trusts Pangi and doesn't see him as a threat.

When Flame looks at Pangi, he sees someone who is different from everyone. In a world filled with hardship and people who would kill him when given the chance, Pangi simply smiles at him and offers him kindness when no one else would.

That is why, when Pangi joined in order to help Zam fight against Flame, it hurt so much. It didn't matter that Zam had so many people ready or led him down this hole. It mattered that Pangi was fighting against him. That was the one thing he didn't expect. Pangi had always been the exception, and now, even he was fighting him.
