The reason I ended that Crocodad AU where he finds Baby Robin-post where I did was because I actually just don't know what would happen next, where things would go from there. Let's talk about that.
Also apologies in advance, this post got obscenely long. Again. I don't know how this keeps on happening.
(If you wanted the minimum context without having to read the whole OG post, just scroll down to the Plot Section and read until the end from there)
But just to give a minor recap: They're in the tombs of Alubarna, Cobra's dead and the second the guards notice their king has gone missing they're going go searching for him. So there's no time to mess around, Crocodile and Robin need to leave as soon as possible before they're discovered, otherwise they'll risk getting reported to the World Government for assasinating Cobra and boy howdy Croc's not going to be a Shichibukai for long if that happens. The two are there to just get what they want. Crocodile wants Pluton. And the Poneglyph says its in Wano Country
What the hell are either of these two going to do? In this scenario?
'Cause on one hand, there's Robin, who could be scared shitless of Crocodile and unsure what to do next.
If Robin tells him, will Crocodile kill her because he doesn't need her anymore? Because he got what he wanted?
Or might he lash out at her and kill her because the weapon isn't in Alabasta as he had assumed?
But if she refuses to tell him, he'll kill her anyways, won't he?
She can't run away from him anyways, he'd catch her in seconds.
Should she lie and give him a fake location nearby in the hopes of creating an opportunity for her to escape?
But even if she managed to escape, she'd be back on the run from the Government all over again, fighting for her life, all alone.
(Minor note but it's worth pointing out that Robin probably wouldn't know about Wano's takeover, she might not know who Kaidou is, let alone what the Yonkou are, or where Wano even is. Like we know it's a bombshell of information, but Robin wouldn't know where on The Scale of Bad News it'd land, and that could also add to her fear of telling the truth)
Like I think those would be the kinds of thoughts that would run through Robin's mind, and even I can't tell what she'd do.
And on the other hook, we have Mr Murderdile. How the fuck would he even react to whatever Robin would do?
I mean I don't think he'd actually kill Robin if she told him the truth about what the Poneglyph says. I do think he would Fucking Furious and deeply hurt if she'd refuse to tell him, if she'd lie or tried to flee, as these would be acts of betrayal and we know Crocodile would not take that well. Would he kill her for betraying him? Possibly? Since he could see her as a threat to his son's life (the priority), I don't fucking know man. That could very much turn into like a "Doflamingo killing Rocinante" moment for Crocodile in this AU.
But what the fuck would he do if he found out Pluton was in Wano?
Mind you, by this point the country would've been freshly taken over by Kaidou, and it's only been 2-5 years since Crocodile would've had his ass kicked by Whitebeard in the New World. Like that trauma would be Quite Fresh in his mind. I don't think Crocodile would be stupid enough to try to go to Wano. It'd be stupid fucking dangerous, and surely he'd know that. And not just in the "he could get killed by Kaidou" kind of way, but because surely Crocodile would realize Kaidou was sitting on top of Pluton as they spoke. Even if he didn't know about it yet, if Kaidou found out about Pluton being directly beneath his gigantic ass, it would be Fucking Bad. And thus going to the island with the only person on the planet who could reveal the exact location of the weapon would be a stupid ass move. (Of course, without the heir of the Kozuki Clan Pluton can't be released and Momo has just been yeeted into the future, so even if they did go they wouldn't be able to open the borders of Wano, but unless the Alabastan Poneglyph explained that then neither Robin or Crocodile would understand that)
So if Crocodile's only goal in life at this moment had been obtaining an Ancient Weapon so he could nuke the World Government and then go be with his son (since nothing in the world could threaten his child anymore and force Crocodile to keep his distance to keep him safe)... And he found out he was far, far too weak to even obtain that weapon... What would Crocodile do? Knowing he wouldn't be able to do what he wanted, that he wouldn't get to be with his son ever again?
(Mind you. There is a whole discussion to be had about whether or not Crocodile was suicidal during Impel Down/Marineford and if his petty revenge against Whitebeard was a borderline suicide mission. Because unironically I think there's like a 40-50% chance that could be the case. And I'm pointing this out because if Crocodile was canonically suicidal after failing to take over Alabasta, how would this scenario in this AU be different? Aside from the obvious time commitment, and the way Crocodile's traumas would be much more fresh at this point compared to canon)
Like. What can he do anymore? What's there left for him to do?
Fall into absolute despair and give up? Allow the royal guards to find and capture him, and let the WG throw him in jail for assassinating King Cobra for no reason? Or just kill himself on the spot because what would it matter, he'd die eventually anyways? God knows, even if he wanted to keep on opposing the WG, between the Dragodile Divorce (and however the fuck that might've played out) and Crocodile probably not approving of Dragon's methods for revolution (too idealistic, soft, and slow), ditching his Warlord-status and fully joining the Revolutionary Army wouldn't suit Crocodile either. He's a pirate, not some hero of justice. And he's never going to be strong enough to defeat the WG himself, all alone. That's what the Ancient Weapon was for to begin with.
So, what would he do now, when his final option had been crossed out, labeled impossible. Would death be the easy way out, and at least give him the peace of mind knowing his son could never be linked back to him and put into danger because of him?
But what would happen to Robin?
If Crocodile allowed himself to become captured and go to jail, Robin would be doomed too. Between his hatred of the Government and Robin being an innocent child, surely he didn't want the Government to get their hands on her, they'd just put her to death. But what else could he do? Tell her to run? Leave her to fend for herself all over again? Alone? Would he have it in him to tell her that?
Or would Crocodile's anger and spite at the Government be more powerful than his despair? Would he rather flee with Robin for now and figure things out later, when they're not in some ancient tombs with the corpse of a king where they could be found out any second and be in far deeper shit than they're already in?
And I think this is where we circle back to what Robin would do, first. Because even if Robin told Crocodile the truth, there's still multiple ways she could do that, and depending on how Robin went about it, that could influence Crocodile's reaction too, couldn't it?
If the two hadn't become too fond of each other yet, and Robin very calmly told Crocodile Pluton was in Wano, I think he could just become kind of catatonic in shock and horror, falling into despair. Maybe without saying a word he'd just walk out of the tombs straight to the guards without ever looking back. Abandoning Robin and leaving her running for her life again, alone.
But Robin is at this point a 12 year old child***
The sheer intensity of this situation could become too much for her. And if she had become fond of Crocodile, if despite everything she still wanted to stay with him because he had been the only source of safety she had had in three years... what if she just burst into tears, and told Crocodile she was afraid of him and what he might do to her because he might not like what the Poneglyph said? What would Crocodile do then? How would Crocodile react to that? To this child being not just brutally honest, but emotionally vulnerable and showing him that she WANTED to trust him? If Crocodile had been emotionally flipflopping between trying to remain emotionally unavailable to Robin because he didn't trust her, and trying to be caring (partially because he was intentionally trying to manipulate her and partially because he genuinely felt bad for her)... Would this become the moment Crocodile himself realizes he has to decide if he's going to be a cruel pirate who only cares about his son's safety, or be Robin's guardian? Either demand her to just spit it out if she knows what's good for her, or comfort her and tell her he would never hurt her regardless of what the Poneglyph said? And... almost regardless of what Crocodile would choose, could Robin's outburst still like... both soften the blow of the bad news and emotionally ground Crocodile? So that he wouldn't fall into despair?
If so... Guess the two would just have to flee then. Leave their hostage (be it the (unconcious???) pregnant queen or baby Vivi) behind, and just leave Alabasta. There'd be nothing left in that country for them anyways, nothing but people who could catch Crocodile and report him to the World Government for assasinating their King (mainly Shaka who could probably tell their king was murdered by a heavy smoker thanks to his DF and then realize it was Crocodile if he ever gotten within sniffing distance from him), leading to his Shichibukai Status to being stripped from him. Escaping and never coming back would be their priority.
Whatever the fuck would happen next is a bloody mystery though
Like IDK maybe, after getting over whatever emotional turmoil he'd be going through, Crocodile could start building an organization of some kind?? But this time with the intent of wrecking Kaidou's ass and taking over Wano himself????? (Roccoco Works wouldn't nececarily have to be a secret organization either since if he wanted to take over a non-WG Affiliated country from some pirate... He could just do that. The WG shouldn't care. He would have to be extremely careful though to make sure nobody ever found out his sweet little assistant/secretary Miss Sunday was actually Nico Robin. Also if he was the Rev Army's Secret Sugar Daddy he'd have to be extremely careful who he would hire to work for him. Like the hiring process would be extremely selective still, if not more-so than with BW?) Also he could spend a fuck ton of time just working out to get as swole as humanly possible. Because god knows he'll need to if he wanted to actually fight Kaidou and survive with all his limbs still in-tact. Maybe try to get friendly with Moria too knowing Moria has some serious beef with Kaidou and could be down for getting revenge one day. But mind you, this would be A Whole Process which would no doubt take years if not decades.
All while looking after Robin. Because he was all she had and he couldn't possibly abandon her now. He's in too deep.
Tumblr media
And this is where my brain finally hits a brick wall with this AU, I can't imagine how shit would go down from here on. Because IDK, this whole thing started out more as a thought experiment (of "how would things be different if they met earlier") and the further you go down the timeline it stops being wild what if-speculation and more just a fanfic lmao
***(Look if I'm not wrong, the year Luffy was born Robin should be going 11 turning 12, right? (And Croc 27 -> 28). But if enough time has passed that Vivi has been born, well, Robin's birthday is a few days after Vivi's, so she could've turned 13 by now. Or hell, this whole shitshow of a scenario could take place on her birthday if you wanted to be really evil) (But if I'm wrong and Robin was 10 -> 11 the year Luffy was born, then she'd be around turning 12 at this point) (This shit is so complicated aaaaa 😭)
One more note because I might as well put them in the same post
So in my mind, if Crocodad Real IN GENERAL then it would make perfect sense to me if Crocodile's reason for wanting his funny little military nation and to obtain Pluton was to nuke Marijoa and just delete the World Government so his baby boy would be safe. Because god knows if the Government found out Dragon had a son (or that he had been involved with the Revs/plotted against them and that he had a son), that baby boy would become a target for the WG. Thus he couldn't even take his child with him and raise him like Bege or Big Mom did with their kids. Like it wasn't even an option. And because that's like my default headcanon already, I'm obviously applying it to this silly Crocodad AU.
But it raises a fun question; what would Crocodile tell baby Robin about his motivations?
Like, I can perfectly imagine Crocodile explaining to Robin that he hates the WG and wants to destroy them, and that not only would Robin be safe with him (not just in the "I won't hurt you or turn you in to the Marines, we're on the same side", or the "I'm stronk and can protect you from danger" way, but also "the WG can't find you if you're under my wing" way), but also if she helped him find an Ancient Weapon, she could help him defeat her greatest enemy for once and for all and become free herself.
And that's not a bad deal, now is it.
But even if Crocodile explained that to Robin when they'd first meet, just to get her to agree to coming with him, surely it would take Robin some time to actually start trusting Crocodile, after spending the past three years on the run. 'Cause in her mind, either the Government Approved Pirate was lying to get her guard down (so it'd be easier to hand her over to the WG), or the Government Approved Pirate was explicitly admitting to being a backstabber and couldn't be trusted. But hey Papadile could maybe win her trust with some time, plenty of books and maybe a few plushies
However.
I'm sure Robin would wonder WHY Crocodile wanted to destroy the World Government. And Crocodile sure as fucking hell would never tell her it was because he had a son, god knows he would not trust her with that information. I'm not sure if Robin would ask about Crocodile's motivations, and even if she did, I'm sure he'd find a way to respond in a truthful way without telling her anything (Like arguably he isn't free from the WG either, he can either play and pretend to be on their side until they decide they have no more use for him, or try to eliminate them first and ensure his own safety. So he could tell Robin that as an excuse) (Kill-or-Be-Killed is not a great life lesson to be teaching Nico Robin Age 12) And you know, not knowing why this Scary Pirate wants a weapon of mass destruction would raise alarm bells in anyone's mind. Robin isn't stupid.
And now we circle right back to the begining of this post. Again. This post is a fucking timeloop, there is no escape. What would Robin do when Crocodile would ask her to read him the Poneglyph. Because there is that option that she could try to ask him Crocodile why he wanted to destroy the WG, then and there. Possibly defiantly, possibly calmly, possibly with tears running down her little face because she's scared out of her mind and wants to have faith in her guardian, but is unsure because the situation she's found herself in is a train wreck and Croc's on thin ice. And would she start with the question right away, or would she first tell the truth and then, after seeing Crocodile's reaction, ask him about it? And would Crocodile tell her? The TL:DR; of it? That he had a son whom the WG would want dead if they ever found out about it, a son he wanted to protect? That that's what this all was about?
And how would Robin feel about such a revelation?
Because on one hand, it could be calming for her, to understand that Crocodile wasn't out for world domination like a cartoon villian or anything, that his motivations were actually understandable. He just wanted to protect his family. But on the other hand... if Robin had been (conciously or subconciously) hoping to find a father figure in Crocodile... would finding out that Crocodile had his own son, his own family somewhere out there... Would that knowledge break Robin? Because in her mind, even if she hadn't wished for it conciously, Crocodile could never become a father for her? Because if/when Crocodile would get what he wanted, he'd just go be with his son?
Keep in mind. Robin's core fears and trauma come from not just betrayal, but also abandonment. A fear of being alone. Even if it was for Robin's own sake, her mother left her behind. She wasn't able to find friends or community in Ohara at all, even with the people of the library she felt left out because they wouldn't allow her to participate in the Poneglyph research (understandable on their part) And even when Robin's uncle and his family "adopted" her, she was treated as an other in the family. An unwanted burden, a servant. Not a real member of the family.
Finding out Crocodile had a family he wanted to return to could in her mind mean she was going to become abandoned again, left behind to fend for herself. Even if the WG wasn't out to get her, that would still be absolutely soul crushing for a child. And even if Crocodile did decide to adopt Robin, would she not be afraid of being treated as an other in that family too, because she wasn't his daughter? That he'd never love her the way he'd love his own son?
How would the truth behind Crocodile's motivations actually make Robin feel?
And one final gut punch before I go:
Would Crocodile struggle with some kind of guilt and shame over looking after Robin when he had his son somewhere out there? Would he be beating himself up inside because he couldn't stop himself for caring so damn much about this poor kid, but didn't want to treat Robin like some kind of a replacement for his own child? And would those feelings get even worse after finding out he couldn't even get Pluton because the bloody thing was hiding under Kaidou's ass? Would Crocodile feel horrible about how he had to abandon his son seemingly forever and then found himself looking after some other child instead?
Also. If the Dragodile Divorce was bad, especially in the "Dragon wasn't particularly accepting" kinda way, and if Crocodile had this deep fear inside of him about whether or not his son would ever accept him as his other dad and/or be upset about not having a mom (a fear that could get worse over time since he wouldn't have been with his baby from the begining, that he'd have to show up in his child's life later, praying for acceptance and forgiveness for having to leave him behind)... Would Robin potentially expressing that she saw Crocodile as a father-figure kind of break Crocodile (in a good way)? Not just because of the gender affirmation (for the recently transitioned guy mind you), but also because it'd mean that there was at least one person in the world who looked at him and thought they wanted him as their father? And could that happiness then like ADD ON to whatever guilt Crocodile could also be feeling?
These two are such broken people. I can not help but to wonder if they'd be able to navigate through their complicated emotions and find the healing and comfort they both so desperately need.
Anyway yeah that's the post, hope you enjoyed The Thoughts

Truth or Dare?
Nami x GN!Reader
Summary: When you fall heavily injured, you resort to the familiar game of truth or dare to let Nami know how you feel about her.

Word Count: 2.6K
A/N: I've been going through a little bit of writer's block recently so sorry for being so inactive, but I've wanted to write this for a little while so here it is! This is my first time writing for Nami so I hope you all enjoy!

Tumblr media
“Truth or dare?” You breathed out in a voice just below a whisper. Nami pulled her blue eyes up from what she had been doing and locked onto yours. Blue eyes that had begun to water--that never filled with tears unless something was truly wrong.
And that something wrong being the gaping gash dealt to your stomach by that spiky, spider woman that had been chasing you both through the streets of Alubarna.
Nami shook her head full of orange hair, which you wished to run your fingers through its short length. The golden hair clip she had just bought must have fallen out while you two had been fighting for your lives.
You watched her try to steal herself against the fear you had no doubt was waging within her and found you wished she would show you her fear--show you every emotion she was feeling in that moment so you could properly care for her.
“No.” She said firmly.
“No?” You questioned with a chuckle that turned into a hissing wince when Nami pressed her hand tighter over your wound, trying desperately to slow the bleeding. “You can’t say no. That’s the rules.” Nami shook her head again more forcefully.
“Well, I’m changing the rules. I’m not going to play this game when--” Her voice quivered, those vast eyes that always reminded you of a crystal blue lake shining in the sunlight nearly overflowing with tears. Tears for you.
You remember when you had first seen her lake-blue eyes. First took in their utter depths.
You had been a Broquet Works agent based in Whiskey Peak--had been assigned to kill off the Straw Hats with the other agents stationed in that town. Had been ready and more than willing to help kill them off, but then you had seen those eyes--so bright and calculating--and knew instantly it would be a more difficult task than you had originally thought.
You had been the first to greet the woman, besides the likes of Mr. 8. Had made an utter fool of yourself in doing so, but you hadn’t cared because she had laughed at your horrible and flirty jokes. Had outdrank you without so much as breaking a sweat and it enthralled you.
She had won over your heart with just a few laughs and witty quips. Had won you over so much so that you had turned your back on your organization, despite knowing your death would be painful and bloody. You guarded over her and her passed-out crew after dark. Had protected her despite the horrendous wounds you had received from your fellow agents.
After much convincing, you had been allowed to join the Straw Hats on their journey to Alabasta under the rouse of wishing to help protect the recently revealed princess from other-like Broquet Works members. Though, that was far from the truth.
You and Nami had started this game of truth or dare when you had made it to Little Garden. You, Nami, and Usopp had been wandering around in the jungle when you had offered the familiar question her way.
She had still been very distrustful of you then, but she had humored you. At some point during your voyage through the Grand Line, you think she stopped merely humoring you and began actually enjoying the game. Enjoyed it so much she had begun starting before you could get the chance.
You played the game on nights neither of you could sleep. During boring and long days of endless sailing. You had played it when she fell sick and when you were injured yet again by some horrible king on a snowy island.
It was how you managed to grow closer to her. To learn of her haunting childhood and near enslavement to that horrid Fishman from the East Blue. It’s how she had learned your real name and your own haunting childhood.
And you had fallen stupidly for her. Had probably fallen for her the moment you laid eyes on her. Anyone else in Whiskey Peak would have called you foolish for giving up everything you had worked for just to follow some woman who might never like you back, but you didn’t care.
You would do it over and over again. Would get beaten down, stabbed, and shot at all over again because you couldn’t imagine your life without the strong-willed, fiery-tempered, and kind-hearted woman kneeling next to you.
“Come on, sunshine. Please?” You asked, pulling a playful smirk to your lips that Nami wouldn’t meet.
“Fine. I dare you to shut up and not die.” Nami hissed, those pools of blue spilling over her cheeks despite her angered gruff at it. You chuckled, wiping away one of those hot trails from her slightly sunburnt cheeks.
“I was hoping to say a truth.” Nami shook her head once more, pulling away from your grasp. She looked away from you, turning to peek her head out of the large hole in the brick townhome you two had hidden away in. “Nami--sunshine--”
“Stop.” She hissed, whipping her burning gaze back onto you. “Stop it. You can’t break the dare until I say so, so shut up.” Another stray tear fell over her dirty, scratched-up cheeks.
“If you get to bend the rules today, I think I get to bend them too--just a little bit.” You said, trying to keep your tone light despite the darkness of your situation. Nami gave a frustrated little sound that came out sadder than you think she had wanted it to.
“You’re not going to die.” She insisted, telling you like it was a fact. And maybe it would turn out to be fact, but at the rate you were losing blood and the knowledge that Chopper was probably miles away made it seem less likely to happen. You kept your playful smirk on your lips as you grabbed for her hand, holding it gently.
“Ask me why I paid you all that berry to board your ship.” More tears streaked down her cheeks, her bottom lip sucking into her mouth to keep from letting any sort of sound escape her. She shook her head again and you chuckled, giving her hand a comforting squeeze.
“I didn’t care about getting Vivi here safely. I didn’t care that I was turning my back on my work and that I was signing my own death warrant. I didn’t care because I was following you. I wanted to be by you.”
“Stop.” Her voice came out watery. So small and weak. She was begging you. Begging you to just shut up like she had dared you to and get better.
But you wanted her to know--needed her to know.
“It's the only reason I started this stupid game in the first place. I wanted to know you better.” You said on a laugh that turned wincing as another wave of pain washed through you. Nami went to try and stop you from speaking again, but you beat her to it. “And I--I like you. I like your laugh and your eyes and your smile. I like watching you talk about your maps because you are just so passionate about them. Hell--I only pretend to hate reading to get on your nerves 'cause you look too cute all mad.” Nami huffed a small, saddened laugh.
“You shouldn’t have said that. I’m going to make you read all my books now.” You nodded, allowing her to keep hoping for the future after this. Allowed yourself, for just a second, to do the same. To think about you laying your head in her lap as she read you one of the many books in her collection.
“You’re--you’re really special to me.” You felt your own eyes begin to sting. Felt your throat tighten against the swell of emotion rocketing through you. “And I want you to know that. You--you’ve made me a better person…saved me from my darkness.”
Nami moved herself closer to you, sniffing back her tears. You gladly allowed her presence into your atmosphere--allowed her to lay her forehead on yours. Closing your eyes, you took in her warmth and the smell of that overly expensive perfume you had bought her the other day in the marketplace.
You brought your blood-covered hand up to caress her cheek, holding her closer. Holding her for a moment that might very well be the last.
Fight it. You needed to fight it. Fight to stay alive--for her.
The chilling sound of Miss. Doublefinger's voice calling for you both echoed through the deserted street you were on. Nami tensed against your hold, eyes snapping open in fear.
You needed to protect her.
You needed to keep her away from that woman…but you could hardly feel your legs, let alone move with the amount of pain you were in. But you would do it--you would crawl and let that spider trap you like some fly. Let her strike you down just to give Nami enough time to run and find the others.
“I’m going to get you out of here. Okay?” Nami said and you watched her push her sadness and fear down. Watched her pull that confidence and courage she held within herself, whether it be fake or true, up.
Painc, rapid and tight, shot through your chest.
“What? No--”
“Truth or dare?” She asked, pulling her forehead from yours. You shook your head as she moved your hands to place them over your wound.
Tears did fill your eyes then. Tears of fear for her. Because you knew Nami could handle herself, but even you had fallen prey to that spider’s sting. You had made peace with death a long time ago, but you had hardly made peace for her. Wanted death far, far away from her.
“Nami--” You started, pulling out of her guiding movements to grab hold of her wrist, keeping her from leaving. “I’m supposed to protect you. I want to protect you. Whether I die--”
“Truth or dare?” She insisted strictly, leaving you speechless.
“Truth.” She smiled through her sadness and fear.
“How long do you think Usopp's weapon is going to hold against her?” You huffed, pulling yourself off the wall Nami had leaned you against, spying the blue, three-pieced metal staff strapped to her hip.
“A minute--if it doesn’t break before you even get a chance to use it--which is why I’m going out there and not you.” You insisted just as strictly.
“Truth or dare?” Nami asked once more, dismissing your continued denial of her fighting that spider.
“Nami--” She fixed you with a strict look that had you huffing in frustration.
“Pick dare.” You furrowed your brow in confusion at her. “Come on, pick. She’s getting closer.” You huffed. And huffed again before giving in to her request.
“Dare.”
“I…” She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, something like nerves filling her eyes. “I dare you to kiss me.” Your mouth fell open to speak--to keep fighting to keep her from leaving your side--but Nami gave you that confident smile of hers as she brushed her blood-covered fingers over your cheek. A touch you unconsciously lend into. “Are we still bending rules?” You huffed a laugh that fell just as quick.
She leaned in, her deep, blue eyes searching your own. Eyes that, though still held that fear in them, were calm. Ready--sure and steady. Eyes you had fallen in love with over and over again.
You pulled her closer by the wrist you still held, your other hand cupping her cheek to guide her lips against yours. Lips you had wished to kiss ever since she had first laughed at your bad joke. Lips that were sweet, yet just a little chapped from the desert sand that had been thrown at you like a weapon earlier that day.
It was a kiss you pressed all your love into. A kiss you used to try and communicate every last little adoration you held to her. A kiss you prayed would keep her from leaving you--to keep her from facing death.
Nami pulled away all too soon, her soft breaths brushing over your cheeks as she rested her forehead against yours. She kept her eyes screwed shut, fresh tears having sprung to life beneath her bare eyelids.
“Plea--please don’t go. I’m okay. I’ll keep you safe.” You tried, but Nami shook her head, her eyes opening once more. She removed your hand from her cheek and replaced it over your wound, making it sting in the process.
“You’re not okay and if you face her again, she’ll kill you. Just--stay here. I’m going to find help.”
Click, click, click went Miss. Doublefinger's heels as she passed by the row of townhouses you two were hidden in. You both held your breathes as the clicking grew more faint with each passing second. Seconds you spent taking in her face--such a beautiful face you hadn’t looked at nearly as much as you should have.
“Don’t--” Nami cut you off with one last kiss. A kiss that was meant as a bitter-sweet promise. A promise of her return to you--though a return to you how and in what shape was unknown. A big unknown that pulled at your heart and had you holding her wrist tighter.
“I dare you to stay put--no more bending the rules,” She said, giving you her best confident smile and wink as she grabbed for the strange weapon Usopp had built her, called the Clima-tact.
“Nami--” But she pulled from your fingers as she snuck away out of the townhome, leaving you utterly alone with the dark and dust.
The sound of buildings crashing, people screaming, and the wind howling only made your fear grow and grow with each passing minute. Had you gritting your teeth against your pain and dragging yourself from the spot Nami had left you in.
That had been a very bad decision on your part because as soon as you made it to the exit, your vision began dotting with black. Black that filled your eyes and left you in a blinding sea of pitch-black pain.
Your vision returned, though rather foggy, with the feel of gentle fingers caressing your cheeks. Orange hair and lake-blue eyes shined down at you like some angel--gods she was a sight to see, even covered in dirt as she was.
“I said no more bending the rules.” Nami huffed, eyes watching you narrowly before looking behind herself to call for Zoro, who she must have found while you were passed out.
“You’re hurt.” You said, running a shaky finger over her shoulder, having spotted the fresh blood on her sunkissed skin. Her blue eyes found yours again, though softener than they had been. More--fearfilled.
“She was--strong. Scary. But you were wrong.” You furrowed your brows up at her as Zoro’s tall shadow fell over you both, blocking the sun from your blurry eyes.
“Wrong? That she was a bitch? No.” Nami rolled her eyes, an amused huff of air leaving her.
“No. The Clima-tact lasted longer than a minute. It took her down.” She said, pointing towards a smoking townhouse that had a strange, Miss. Doublefinger-sized hole in its side.
“Truth or dare?” You breathed, looking back up to Nami who was already watching you.
“Dare.” She smirked, a laugh spilling from your chest as you grabbed her neck in a gentle hold, pulling her down to claim her lips against yours. She kissed you back eagerly. A kiss that fulfilled the silent promise she had given you earlier.
You heard Zoro gruff something about not having time for this, which only spur Nami to pull away, pissed.
“You’re carrying both of us now.” She hissed up at the swordsmen who groaned in his own annoyance.

Portgas D. Ace x gn!Reader
Tumblr media
Words: 2268 CW: Alabasta Setting (spoiler-free), SFW, dehydrated Reader, mention of robbery, passing out, lizard, bonfire, food, talks and cuddles
You were in the middle of the desert in Alabasta. Your water bottle was empty, you were robbed, on the edge of passing out and now a sand storm is coming your way. Could this day get any worse?
Tumblr media
Empty. Not a single drop fell on your lips as you lifted your head and turned your open bottle upside down above you. You were on your way to your home in Nanohana but you doubted that you would make it. Every step forward felt like too much, the sweat pouring down your face like a river. The march to Alubarna was familiar since you walked this route twice a week for work without problem, but today was different. Bandits crossed your path halfway and since you forgot to take your weapons with you, they stripped you off your water. Mostly. This last bottle was the only one you could protect before they left your bruised body behind.
Just five more miles. It’s not that far. You tried to convince yourself, but you stumbled and fell into the burning hot sand. You lifted your gaze, slamming your fists into the sand, as tears streamed down your face. Ugly sobs escaped your throat as you thought about your grandma. If you won’t come home today, how will she make it? She was a strong woman but her age was noticeable in her actions, so you helped her. You two shared home and salary ever since your parents died and your bond was strong. She will be worried by now, since the sun was about to set in almost two hours.
You got up with determination. There must be some way to make it. Your body was gathering all the last strength he could find to send your feet forward. Slowly but surely, step by step, regardless of how much your legs we’re shaking. You would make it out of here, your grandma needs you and you won’t let her down. In the distance, the outlines of the city slowly got noticeable and you smiled. You started to walk faster, the joy fueling your system when suddenly everything turned black around you and you fell to the ground.
Cold. As your conscience was back, you could feel the cold, hard ground beneath your back. That was not right. You opened your eyes and sat up quickly to look at your surroundings, leaving your head a bit dizzy. You were in a small but spacious cave with just one exit and in front of you was a small, crackling bonfire, which illuminated the stony walls. It was dark outside. Just how long have I been out cold? I need to get going before my kidnappers return. Gladly you realized, that you were alone with no trace of another living thing and so you stood up and slowly walked towards the entrance without making too much sound.
You were just a few steps away from freedom when you came eye to eye with a big purple lizard. Startled you covered your mouth with your hands and stopped breathing. Not a single movement was giving you away and after minutes that felt like hours, the lizard laid down right in front of the entrance, their back facing you. You exhaled the air you’ve been holding. Crap! Just a moment earlier and you would have been out of here.
You sighed and sat back down, resting your back on the stony wall across the exit as you watched the crackling fire. Whoever brought you here, friend or foe, you would handle them, when they get here. But you could at least enjoy the warmth of the fire and soothe your bruises. You inspected every scratch on your body but found none of them bleeding. As you searched your pockets for any leftover food, you were not lucky and your stomach growled loudly in disapproval.
“Thank you!” the hushed words picked your interest and as you looked towards the entrance, you saw a small flame jumping over the relaxed reptile.
A flame can jump? You wiped your eyes and blinked a few times, but you were not hallucinating things. As the flame hit the ground, it turned into a man and your face shifted into a surprised frown.
“Ah, you’re awake! Finally!” the man said as he stripped off his black coat decorated with red flames and his scarf. Beside he wore combat boots, black shorts and had an orange hat on his head. With a grin on his freckled face, he offered you his hand. “I’m Ace.”
You stared at the hand dumbfounded but quickly gained your posture back. “Who are you?”
“Huh?” he tilted his head to the side and retreated his hand. “I said I’m Ace. Are you dumb?”
“I’m not dumb, you dimwit!” you roared and got into a fighting position. “Are you friend or foe?”
Your body hurt, but you needed to be able to fight back in case he was a bandit or worse, a slave trader. As you waited for his answer, he eyed you from head to toe and broke into laughter.
“What?” you asked, not fooled by his antics.
“You’re hilarious.” He spit out between his laughter.
“I’m not! I will fight you if you dare lay your hands on me!” you cracked your knuckles to strengthen your argument.
“Calm down, I won’t harm you.” His laughter subsided. He sat down at the fire and opened his backpack. “I was out to restock. Bet you’re hungry.”
Your stomach growled at his words and you admitted defeat. You took a seat at the fire across from him and let out a sigh.
“Water?” he asked and offered you a blue bottle.
You grabbed the water bottle and sniffed its contents first. No smell. That was good. You let a few single drops fall onto your finger and licked them off. No taste, either. You were 90% sure this was water, and that was enough for your dehydrated self. You gulped down half the bottle in a rush. A smile appeared on your face and you enjoyed the refreshing feeling of the liquid slowly fueling your body with new power. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.” He said and grabbed one of the skewers. “Food?” A perfectly barbequed piece of meat was offered to you and you exchanged the bottle for the skewer. As you were hesitant, he grabbed your hand that held the meat, brought it to his mouth and took a bite himself, chewed and swallowed. “It’s not poisoned. I swear.”
You blushed a little at his words, since he recognized your concern right away, and retorted your hand. The first bite was still a bit hesitant, but you soon devoured the tasty meat. It was delicious and outstandingly juicy. “It’s perfect.” You said between bites.
“I’m glad you like it.” He answered and you two enjoyed your meal in a peaceful silence.
You sat back fully stuffed. “Dare to tell me your intentions now?”
“Hm? … Oh, I’m sorry, I have none.” Ace said and laid down on his side, eyeing you from the distance.
“None? Why would you pick up a random unconscious person in the desert if you don't get any benefit from it?”
“As you said, because you were unconscious. I was on my way to Nanohana when I came across you. When I picked you up, a sandstorm surprised us and we took shelter in this cave.”
“…is this a ‘Noble hero saving the damsel in distress’-thing and now I shall praise you? Offer you my heart and soul in exchange? What do I owe you, huh?” You just couldn't figure this man out.
“What?! No, nothing! You are strange.” Ace stuttered, totally taken aback by your words, and added in a low voice. “Although a genuine ‘thank you’ would be nice.”
You buried your head on your knees as you thought about your situation. Ace seemed to be trustworthy and he saved you from certain death, which was a fact. Maybe you should trust him. He was the reason you might make it back to your grandma.
“I’m sorry. Thanks for picking me up, Ace.” You said and bowed your head.
“Ahh, no problem.” A slight red painted on Ace cheeks at your words. “Why were you out in the desert so poorly equipped anyway?”
“I was on the way home from Alubarna when bandits robbed me halfway. I carried on but something knocked me out just before I reached Nanohana.”
“Maybe one of those giant scorpions hit you. They were madly running through the desert, moments before the sandstorm raged.”
“That would make sense. It’s common knowledge that they go batshit crazy right before a storm. They are a natural indication of storms.” You sighed and got up. “Anyway, I need to leave now. My grandma will be terribly worried by now. Thanks again for everything.”
“I’m afraid that’s not possible.” Ace said and stood up, too.
“Oh, now you show me your true colors, huh?”
He rolled his eyes and walked past you to the entrance. You followed him until he stopped right in front of the giant lizard.
“Lizzy!” Ace called and the purple giant lizard turned around. You dodged when her huge leg was about to hit you.
“Good girl.” Ace said and patted her leg, which made her happy. “As you can see, it’s dark outside and the sand storm has obliterated any trace of the path. If you go now, there’s a good chance you’ll get stuck in quicksand.”
Your gaze wandered over every grain of sand in the landscape. He was right. No sign of a path and the moon was behind clouds. “Damn it!” Frustrated you went back inside and paced around the fire. There was no way you were going to make it to town alive tonight. Frustrated you slumped down across from the entrance once again. Might at least get some sleep until the sun comes up and I can finally go home. You thought and tried to make yourself as comfortable as possible.
Ace followed you after he left some meat for his lizard. He laid down next to his backpack and put his head on top of his rolled-up coat, shutting his eyes. “Lizzy will guard us, so you can rest assured.”
“Okay.”
“As I said, I’m also on my way to Nanohana. We could keep each other company.”
“I’ll think about it… Ace?”
“Hm?”
“My name’s Y/N.”
“Oh, changed your mind? Am I not the bad guy anymore?” he asked in a cocky tone.
“Don’t get too full of yourself, you’re still a dimwit. Just an acceptable dimwit.” A sly smile spread on your face.
“Thank you for your kind words, your highness.” You both chuckled. “Sweet dreams, Y/N.” Ace said and you heard him shifting.
“Night, Ace.” You said and tried to be comfortable.
Not only your position, but your whole day made you restless and sleep was out of the question. You thought about the bandits, your grandmother, your near-death experience and the man who had saved you. Could this day have been worse? Possibly. You could have been raped, traded as a slave or be even dead. Oh what irony. You snorted. Most bad luck and most good luck happened to you in just one day. You hoped your grandma was okay and got some sleep. Tomorrow you will be with her again and laugh about what happened today. You would tell her about your savior. Your anger and doubt towards him had long since faded and been replaced by gratitude and trust. You had to admit that he was handsome as you thought of his…
“Hey” Ace interrupted your thoughts. He stood right in front of you, his coat in his hands.
“What?” you opened your eyes, looking questioningly at him.
“You’re shaking. Let me sleep beside you.” He said and waited for your approval.
You were about to question his action, when you noticed the strong trembling of your body. Maybe it was the cold or your exhaustion, given all the things that happened today, or maybe it was both, but your body didn't stop. You looked up at him and nodded.
He laid down silently, one arm above his head as a silent offer to lay your head on his bare chest.
You accepted his invitation and moaned a bit as you made contact with his warm skin. When you stopped squirming, he spread the coat above you and wrapped his arm around you.
“You’re half naked, how can you not be cold?”
Ace chuckled. “I’ll show you.” He lifted his finger and a flame appeared on top of it.
You gasped and your eyes sparkled with fascination. “Wow. Is this a real flame?”
“Yeah. I ate the Mera Mera no mi, so I’m basically all flames.” He explained and changed the form of the flame into different shapes.
“Awesome. Does the heat in the desert still affect you even though you are literally on fire?”
“Unfortunately, it does.” He yawned and with a single motion, the flame was gone. “After all I’m still human. You’re in for sleep?”
“I’m in.” Your answer more a mumble than anything else as you shut your eyes and snuggled closer.
Ace adjusted his grip around you and a blissful smile was on his lips. As you struggled where to put your hand, he gripped your wrist and put it onto his chest, resting his hand on top of yours. It felt strange at first, considering how intimate the position was. But the warmth radiating from him wrapped you in a cozy blanket and his trained muscles under your fingers promised protection. The last thing you heard was your name, falling softly from his lips as the slow rise and fall of his chest rocked you to sleep.

๑ keep safe : i'll kill you, i'll really kill you (14)
Tumblr media
one piece x male reader
let the fear you have fall away
i've got my eye on you,
i've got my eye on you.
say yes to heaven,
say yes to me.
『 prev 』
trying to forget about ace and luffy’s sudden confessions, the crew trudged onward into the desert. [name] was doing his best to not even acknowledge it, humming a soothing toon to take his mind off of it.
“say, [name],” vivi gently called out, making the man jump in surprise. she chuckled weakly at his reaction, assuming that ace and luffy really had him shaken up, “you’re always humming the same song? where’d you get it from? it sounds really beautiful,”
[name] grinned, the subject making him think of other things besides ace and luffy’s stupidity.
“it’s a song i learned from…my home island,” [name] grinned.
“windmill village?”
“oh, no,” [name] said, waving his hand, “someone taught me it where i was born and i just clung to it, i guess,”
vivi’s eyebrows furrowed, “didn’t you say you were from windmill village, with luffy?”
“i grew up there, but i wasn’t from there,” [name] said, rubbing the bottom of his chin, “now that i think about it, i spent more time growing up somewhere else — but that’s irrelevant! i made the most pleasant memories on windmill village, so i say i grew up there,”
“which sea were you from then?” vivi asked.
[name] shrugged, “i’m not really the greatest in…awareness,”
“oh, we know,” nami and sanji said in a monotone voice, the navigator physically shivering in fear as she thought of [name] not even properly navigating the seas before his time on their ship. and that was for 3 whole years! she was scared of his ability to stay alive, that’s for sure.
“oh, that’s alright then,” vivi brushed off the question, not wanting to make [name] too stressed in thinking about it, “the song sounds beautiful though,” she complimented, the grin on [name]’s returning and this time staying present.
“it is, right?! i love it,” he proudly proclaimed.
the rest of the walk was pretty silent, except for [name] and chopper’s whining of heat. that was a constant noise. zoro had hit [name] on the head to shut him up, but it only worked for about 3 minutes.
in the midst of [name]’s complaining of the heat though, vivi - who was walking in front of him, suddenly stopped when they reached the top of a slope.
“what is this ghost town?” [name] asked, looking at the princess, who was worriedly scanning over the terrain.
there was sign of a previous life having lived here, but now it was all dried out. the palm trees were drying up to the point they looked like they could be knocked over by a strong wind. the house were run down and decrepit, the stone of the walls crumbling.
“rain was always scarce, but even so, the city was able to manage by saving every last drop of rainwater it could,” vivi said, leading the group through walking into the “town.” [name] stayed close to her side, subconsciously. his eyes were carefully watching around them, as if waiting for something bad to heppen.
“but for three years now, not a single rain drop has fallen over this country,”
“three years?!”
“that long?!”
“i’d kill myself if i had to withstand this heat without any rain,” [name] said, fanning himself with his hand to cool off.
“don’t say something so insensitive!” nami shouted at him, shaking him back and forth, “since your more respectful brother is here, why don’t you try taking up after him in that sense?!”
[name] looked anything but pleased with her sentence, cringing as he turned his head away, “no, thanks,”
“but even without rain, what about the river we just crossed?” zoro asked, making the attention go back to vivi and not nami and [name]’s bickering.
“yeah, couldn’t they have just funneled the water from the river into the town?”
“the answer to that is up ahead,” vivi said in a grim tone. “but there was one city that got continuous rainfall no matter what - the city’s capital, alubarna. they called it the king’s miracle…until what happened later that day,”
vivi then explained that there was something called dance powder that was being used to artificially create rain. and with nami’s input on the topic as well, it was all beginning to make sense. whenever dance powder would be used, the rain would come down, but the country neighboring of whoever was using it would face a heavy drought.
“wait, vivi!!! that means your dad is the bad guy?!” luffy said, pointing a finger at vivi in shock. [name] was going to take care of him, knock some sense into him, but luffy was easily dealt with by sanji.
“of course, my father had nothing to do with it. but we even found sacks of the dance powder inside the palace, an obscene amount!”
[name] whistled, zoro saying exactly what he was thinking, “they even had people in the palace in on it, huh?”
“that’s terrible,” [name] said, making a tick mark of annoyance form on nami’s head.
“don’t state such obvious things!” usopp and nami cried out at the same time.
they all continued walking through the town, learning the tragedy that was befalling the kingdom. but then, there was a steady breeze going through the entire town.
[name] allowed himself to feel physically relieved at the cold breeze sweeping across the desert, but when he heard a low murmur, almost a singing voice, surround them, he became on edge.
he squinted about, trying to find or see if someone was really manually making that noise. when he looked around, turning in circles several times, he noticed that there was no one near them — it was only them.
“what if it’s baroque works?! have they been following us?!” usopp said, running to hide behind [name] and cowering at the supposed fear of someone following them.
“don’t be ridiculous, there’s no one here, guys,” he announced, trying to ease their worries, “no threat at all,”
“how are you so sure?!” [name] shrugged at nami’s question. thankfully, ace also chimed in to help support [name]’s case.
“it’s just the wind. there’s no danger,” ace said finally, “it’s just the wind blowing across the town and echoing off old buildings.”
“it’s as if…the city of erumalu is crying,” vivi said with a shaky voice, leaning into [name]’s side and ducking her head. he sighed in sympathy for her, rubbing up and down her back once more to ease her worry.
it seemed she was lucky in taking refuge in his side as well because there was a sudden strong wind that nearly knocked some of them off of their feet. [name] looked ahead, squinting to try and not let the sand into his eyes. his hold on vivi was strong, careful to not let her get swept off of her feet.
her arms wrapped around his waist and his arm around her shoulder. he kept her head down by resting it on the back of her head and she ducked into his chest to shield herself from the harsh sand.
in a couple of seconds, the wind had left them alone. they all watched in confusion as the breeze seemed to “twirl” away and then disappear. luffy seemed interested by something as he suddenly rushed in a different direction from where they were supposed to go.
“someone collapsed?!” vivi shouted, letting go of [name] in an instant and running ahead. everyone followed after her, luffy going off in his own direction with sanji and usopp going to fetch him.
when they saw what vivi was referring to, they all stilled. it was a dry skull that was resting in the sand, cloth surrounding it to indicate that it was an innocent civilian that had died.
[name] sighed, watching as vivi fell to her knees in fury and sorrow, “what have the people of this country ever done to deserve this?! to think, crocodile, one of the seven warlords, is in this country and prancing around as some hero when he’s the one pulling the strings! lying and manipulating the innocent people of this country!!”
the crew stayed silent, watching as vivi helplessly fisted the sand beneath her feet as a means of not blowing all of her anger out.
ace moved to dig into the sand a little bit, offering the princess a smile. she took ahold of the skull and gently placed it inside, trying to mimic a proper burial.
they were about to ask where luffy had gone before they saw and heard a building crash in the distance.
“tsk, he's acting like a child,” zoro said in disapproval.
“aren’t you like only two years older than him?” [name] asked, making the swordsman look embarassed.
“don’t remind me…someone as idiotic as that is close to me in age,” he said, putting his head down in supposed shame.
“vivi! let’s get moving now, i’m itching to do this!” luffy shouted once he rejoined the group, sanji and usopp in tow.
“let’s go to yuba, vivi,” nami cheerfully encouraged, making the princess stand tall to her feet and nod in agreement.
“i’m going to persuade the rebel’s leader to put an end to this. crocodile is the one responsible for all the calamaties, i’m going to tell the truth — and put an end to all this bloodshed!!” it seemed vivi had a very idealist way of looking at the situation.
zoro and [name] seemed hesitant about the plan, but nodded nonetheless. in [name]’s head, he finalized that no matter what plan vivi had, he’d be right behind her to hold her up and support her, should it fail. him and the rest of the crew shared the same sentiment, he was sure.
within minutes of hiking over the sandy dunes, [name] was close to passing out, luffy couldn’t stop complaining about the heat, and chopper was being dragged by zoro via sled.
“burning up…sweat won’t even come out,” luffy said, his tongue sticking out as he tried to lower his body temperature.
“vivi, is it really advised to wear this many layers in the heat?” [name] asked, slumped and deflated as he willed himself to walk forward.
“yes, it may be very hot right now, [name], but this is surely better than suffering a terrible sunburn later,” vivi said, trying to ease the man up, but it seemed he was completely fucked out by the weather to notice her gentle tone.
ace came creeping up behind [name] and immediately buried him in a hug.
“ace, i’ll kill you, i’ll really kill you,” [name] said, feeling himself burn up as he crushed him in a hug. ace backed off, but still kept his close distance with [name].
“what does it feel like?” the freckled man asked, looking at [name] in interest.
“like my bones are on fire, they’re gonna melt off and my inside will slowly get cooked by the immense heat they’re radiating. feels like there’s an oven inside of my body cooking me to a crisp,” [name] breathed out, making people look at him in wonderment.
“don’t be so creepily descriptive about stuff like that!” nami shouted, earning a glare from [name].
“just be thankful you don’t have to actually feel it!” he shot back, earning an intervention from sanji.
“don’t raise your voice at nami-san!!” sanji said, trying to kick [name], but was stopped mid air when [name] raised his hand.
“don’t raise your voice at me, either! piss blonde!” [name] shouted, slapping his hand in an opposite direction and sending sanji flying.
“guys, please, don’t fight, you’ll just waste your strength!” vivi shouted, seemingly talking to both [name] and sanji, as well as nami, usopp, and luffy - who were fighting over the water jug.
finally, the sun set across the expansive desert and the hot air became almost freezing.
[name] then took ace up on the offer he gave earlier, comfortably cuddling into his warm side and sighing in relief.
”alright, human furnace, make sure you keep this balanced - like this. this is perfect,” [name] sighed in gratitude, spreading his arms out as he let his back rest on ace’s chest. he shifted his body, very, very slightly so that one of his fingers could trace the lettering on ace’s chest, a soft smile on his face.
the freckled man stayed as still as a statue, not wanting to irk [name] even more with restless moving, and observed the crew in front of them with watchful eyes. ace made sure to hold [name] protectively close, very determined to keep him warm.
and despite [name]’s stomach being almost empty, he was able to fall into a short slumber, snoring gently as ace held him.
“it must be a real surprise,” vivi’s quiet voice whispered, chuckling lightly as she caught sight of [name]’s sleeping face. “i mean, luffy-san, i was surprised too, at first. maybe it’s the fact he doesn’t really act like a captain - or that normal pirate captains are respected by their crewmates. but just this afternoon, a simple drink of water caused that big fight,”
ace kept gazing at [name]’s sleeping face, smiling softly as he listened to the princess ramble.
“[name] was also a surprise to be around,” she said, making the pirate perk up at for what she had to say about [name], “i mean, his bounty is terrifyingly high and he’s got a terrible reputation all across the seas…but he acts just like luffy. so carefree it almost causes issues,”
ace smiled, almost blindingly wide, and shrugged, “that’s just how they are. luffy hasn’t changed a bit since he was a kid,” ace sighed, brushing a couple of stray hairs away from [name]’s face, “[name] hasn’t either, but to me that’s more of a relief than a worry.”
“what was [name] like as a kid?” vivi suddenly asked, not being able to hide her interest in the sleeping man. ace noticed this, chuckling as he saw her pale cheeks become a pale pink.
“you’re interested in [name], then?”
there was a pause before she shook her head violently, “no, not like that! not like that! i want to know more about him, though…” her voice trailed off, noticing the unimpressed look ace was giving her, as well as a knowing smile, “well, i’m interested in knowing more about him - only because i feel like he’s sees right through all of us,”
ace allowed her to continue, “the way he treats everyone…it’s like he knows what they’re thinking. it’s terrifying. it definitely was scary when he first came aboard the ship,” she said, remembering her constant fear that [name] was there only to assassinate her as the princess. “his true colors really showed through when nami got sick.
“he knew the burden on everyone’s shoulders and tried to hoist it all on his own, especially mine.” she grinned as she watched [name] stir in his sleep, “he really understood me in that moment and even made me a promise! like he knew all the right words to say and how to make you feel…comforted,”
ace laughed gently, squeezing [name]’s impossibly closer as he reminisced on their own childhood memories, “i know what you mean, he did the same thing to me when we were younger. he knew exactly what i was thinking and got me to feel better, even though i really wanted to hate his guts,”
there was a silence that passed over the duo, before vivi dared to speak again, “[name]…has a lot of stress doesn’t he?” as ace was about to interject, she continued, “i don’t want you to answer that — that’s more prying that i’d want to take part in. but, it’s obvious, that he worries so much about other people, on top of his own.”
she turned to ace, a look of determination on her face, “i know i’m causing him a lot of stress right now, but ace, i promise you and luffy that i won’t burden him much longer!”
the man looked at her in surprise, breaking into laughter once more, “don’t worry about [name], he’s strong! and besides, you think you’re burdening him, but really, you’re probably giving him more support than you know. as easy as it is for him to read other people, it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking, right?” vivi nodded her head, “but i can see it - he relies on you just as much as you rely on him. so don’t go talking about how you’ll ease his burden so quickly, it’ll probably only make him sad,”
vivi seemed shocked to hear the information, looking between ace and [name]. she seemed hesitant to believe his words, so ace jokingly added in, “don’t forget who i am princess, his lover, i know him best,”
she flushed at the sentence, making ace break out into more obnoxious laughter — happy to send the woman into another flustered state.
“ace, shut the hell up, you’re a better heater when your mouth is shut,” [name] sleepily scolded, lazily punching ace in the face to get him to quiet down, “ruining my sleep, i’ll kill you, i’ll really kill you,”
ace shrugged at the threat, vivi looking at the duo in amusement, “lover’s quarrel?” she asked jokingly, making ace nod his head.
“he’s got a stubborn attitude he likes infecting into other peop-”
“ace, i said shut up!!!” [name] shouted suddenly, pushing his palm into ace’s face.
vivi laughed at the sight and found it even more endearing when ace actually did keep his mouth shut, following [name]’s command.
she was very thankful to have both [name] and luffy on her side.
and just when [name] thought he could get some uninteruppted sleep, courtesy of ace and his warmth, he was proved very wrong when he was suddenly grappled awake.
“who the fuck-?”
“we’re about to get swept off by the sandstorm, just hide behind a rock,” ace quickly explained, knowing that if he didn’t speak fast enough, [name] would beat his ass.
“where’s chopper? nami? vivi?” [name] asked, looking around for those he was most concerned for.
ace chuckled, “chopper is with luffy, nami is with sanji, and vivi can hold her own — she’s the one who grew up here, y’know?”
[name] nodded, accepting the explanation and instead braced for the impact of the sandstorm. it seemed to whip all their belongings out of order, crashing sand in their faces and all around them.
by the time it had passed, the sun was now properly up in the sky, meaning it had passed in the early dawn hours of the morning. [name] yawned, moving the sand from his face and body as he got up.
ace went to check on luffy and [name] found his way over to vivi.
”come on, princess,” he said, easily lifting her up by the undersides of her armpits and carrying her out of the heavy sand, “let’s get to travelling now. that was a pretty shit alarm clock,”
vivi murmured a thanks, seeing as [name] was the one who very easily lifted her up. he shrugged, saying it was no big deal and then moved on to check on chopper. he saw that nami was in the careful hands of sanji.
without waiting much longer, the entire crew decided to get moving. luffy’s dumbass decided that whoever won rock, paper, scissors would be the one to haul the belongings (even though it should have been whoever lost) and then he ended up winning.
feeling pity for his captain, [name] took half the portion and carried it on his own makeshift sled as well.
“[name], you’re the only one who cares about me,” luffy said exasperated by the physical task, “thank you for helping,”
“don’t go making stupid decisions that get you stuck in stupid situations, stupid,” [name] scolded, smacking the back of luffy’s head.
“i will, i will,”
“you mean you won’t?!” [name] reiterated, making his captain nod in understanding, although there was a high chance the information went in one ear and out the other. “why do i have to be the one always giving you advice, luffy? shouldn’t you know these certain things by now, seriously?”
“ooh! you can be my adviserer,” luffy proclaimed.
“what the fuck does that even mean?”
”you’re the adviserer.” luffy repeated, once again saying the incorrect word (he meant to say advisor, but added an extra -er for no reason).
“luffy, stop rambling nonsense,” [name] said, brushing away the topic as he truly didn’t understand what luffy meant.
after some time, usopp finally spotted a rock and announced it to the group.
“rock up a small ways ahead!!!”
“for real?! [name], let’s go!!!” luffy picked [name] up and threw him onto the pile of stuff then used his two free hands to carry both of their sleds of luggage. [name] had to hold on for dear life in order to not fall off as luffy carelessly ran through the desert.
“fucks’ sake, luffy!!!” [name]’s echoed shouts were the only signs that he was still alive when luffy ran off, making the rest of the crew sweat drop in disappointment.
[ BONUS : based off of the new outro in the show <3 ]
it hasn’t been long since chopper joined the crew. and despite the rush to get to alabasta, especially now that nami was better, there was no denying they’d be in need of certain amenities.
for a majority of them, it was food, for nami, it was mainly shopping for material goods. so they anchored down in some unknown island, some of the crew was already in the local town to get some goodies, but [name] and chopper stayed back on the sandy beach they had landed on.
“are you excited, chopper? your first real adventure,” [name] grinned, hyping the small reindeer up for the journeys they would take together.
“i’m excited, but also scared…were you scared when you first set sail, [name]?” chopper asked. “you don’t seem like the type to be scared easily,”
“pft! i was dead scared when i set out to sea by myself!!” [name] confirmed, laughing with his entire chest. chopper seemed shocked to learn that, eyes wide and sparkling.
“what? what do you mean?”
“i mean i was so scared chopper, definitely worse than what you were feeling,” [name] said, wanting to uplift the younger one’s spirits, “it was dark when i set sail, i had to go in the middle of the night! do you know what the sea looks like at night?” chopper shook his head, noting that he often went to bed early, “it’s all black around you. pitch black! could you imagine, going out to sea, and the first and only thing you can see is pitch black?”
chopper shivered where he sat, shaking his head as he most definitely did not want to think about that, “did you really sail out at night?”
“would i lie to you?” [name] asked with a cheerful grin. “that was my first time ever setting out to sea by myself, i was scared chopper, so i understand why you’re on edge.”
[name] leaned back on the palms of his hand, basking in the gentle sun.
“it’s alright to be scared, chopper,” [name] finalized, “you’ve got me to watch your back anyway, so enjoy the sea! you left your island to seek adventure, right?! enjoy and don’t worry about anything!”
[name] pointed a thumb at himself, “i’m strong enough to protect you and then some,”
chopper’s eyes sparkled completely, jumping onto [name]’s shoulder and shouting at the top of his lungs, “i’ll be the greatest pirate doctor to ever sail the sea!”
[name] chuckled at his childish antics, but cheered in alliance with chopper.
unknown to chopper, usopp, nami, and vivi were silently watching from the bushes behind them and were grinning at the heartfelt scene.
“so that guy really does have a heart?” usopp asked with a teasing tone. admiration sparkled in his eyes, though, as he saw how easily [name] was able to uplift chopper's mood.
“[name]’s pretty cool, isn’t he?” vivi asked, her cheeks uplifting in a smile as she watch [name] easily interact with chopper and ease all his worries.
“a pretty cool idiot,” nami sighed, but she too had a fond look on her face.
chopper and [name] were now yelling their dreams of being out on sea towards the shore line in front of them, and the secretly hidden three crewmates behind them to hear.

Whispers of the Desert Kingdom - Part 2
Warning: Sir Crocodile x fem reader, mention of masturbation, English is not my native language, not proof-read, age gap
words: 766
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 8 - Part 9

You were always obedient to your father's requests, which is why Vivi had joined the pirates while you stayed in the country. However, you couldn't shake off the feeling of suspicion regarding this sudden order.
"Has the king given any specific reason for me not to meet the visitor?" you inquire, sensing Pell's avoidance of eye contact and his hesitation, indicating that he was lying.
"Well, for now, there hasn't been any reason given," Pell responds, clearly uncomfortable with the situation.
"Very well, then. Please bring me some breakfast, and I will commence my studies," you say, releasing Pell from his uncomfortable position near the door, understanding the guilt he must feel for having to lie to you.
He swiftly leaves your room, and you can hear the door being locked from the outside. It seemed like an unreasonable measure in your eyes, but you sigh and slump your shoulders. All this commotion and excitement surrounding a visitor you're not supposed to meet? What could this possibly be about?
As you walk towards your desk, your eyes catch sight of the books for today's study. Opening the drawer, you retrieve your feather, ink, and pen. However, out of the corner of your eye, you notice a sudden commotion outside. Curiosity piqued, you swiftly step towards the window, gently lifting the curtain to get a better look.
Before you, a group of finely dressed individuals arrive, and amidst them stands Chaka, the dark-haired second warrior of the palace, who has always been a true friend to you, much like Pell. He bows respectfully, and as your gaze scans the gathering, you spot a tall figure approaching. Your heart skips a beat as you recognize him. Towering in stature, with a muscular build, slicked-back purple hair, and a cigar clenched between his teeth, he exudes an aura of power. His extravagant attire fits his status - it is Sir Crocodile, the second richest man in the kingdom and one of the most influential figures in the town of Alubarna. You not only know him by his formidable reputation as a warlord of the sea, protected by the government, but also by personal acquaintance. Five years ago, when you were still young, you had the opportunity to meet him at a banquet attended by the kingdom's esteemed personalities and mayors, accompanying your father.
At the age of 17, your father introduced you to Sir Crocodile. He was much older than you and his imposing presence, coupled with his cold eyes, intimidated you. Throughout the banquet, you barely interacted with anyone else, instead focusing on discreetly observing Crocodile, captivated by his appearance.
This initial encounter sparked a mild obsession within you. After returning home, you found yourself frequently thinking about him. Over the following months and years, you would spend your weekend evenings sneaking into the local casino that he owned, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. However, encountering him there was a rare occurrence. He seldom mingled with his customers or the commoners, and most of the time, you left disappointed, unable to even lay eyes on him.
In the span of those five years, you were fortunate enough to see him on only three occasions. However, you lacked the courage to approach him, and Crocodile himself never recognized you or made any effort to engage with you. Your infatuation gradually transformed into a deep longing, causing many sleepless nights as you lay awake in bed, imagining his beautiful muscular chest beneath his luxurious attire. You fantasized about his golden hook gently caressing your skin, and the mere thought sent shivers down your spine, often leading you to touch yourself in desire and solitude.
As the princess of the kingdom, you were acutely aware of the need to maintain proper decency, and your infatuation with this man conflicted with those expectations.
Observing him as he made his way towards the palace, Chaka warmly welcoming him, it suddenly dawned on you that he was the highly anticipated and esteemed visitor everyone had been eagerly awaiting. Your heart raced, and a flush of excitement spread across your skin. Why had your father extended an invitation to the only man who held such immense significance in your world?
As you reluctantly tore your gaze away from the window, a sense of dizziness overwhelmed you. Just as you were about to step back, you gasped in sheer awe. Crocodile had lifted his eyes, meeting your gaze through the glass. Your lips parted gently, and disbelief washed over you. He smiled—an enchanting sight—his dark eyes gleaming through the wisps of smoke from his cigars.

After traveling through the desert again, crossing the river, and meeting up with Karoo, the crew finally made it to Alubarna where it was time to take your stand.
The crew split up into groups of two in order to face off with the officer agents, and you, of course, were paired with the directionally-challenged swordsman.
海賊狩
"It's a straight path! How are you still wandering off?! This is the third time I've had to chase you down, you idiot!" You scolded the man, smacking him upside the head.
"Gah! Woman, will you quit it with the hitting?! I said I was sorry!" Zoro exclaimed, clutching his head painfully.
"Sorries start to lose their weigh the nth time you say 'em," you scoffed.
"Whatever," he rolled his eyes, "Where the hell are these officer guys, anyway?"
"Pfft. Up your butt and around the corner," you muttered under your breath.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!"
"Aw, you two fight like an old married couple," an unfamiliar feminine voice smirked.
Suddenly, a large, black man came out of nowhere, practically flying past you and aggressively clashing swords with Zoro, though his arms were the blades.
Their slashes reverberated, slicing through the stone column behind you.
"Holy shit," you marveled, wide eyed.
"Miss Double Finger...," the black man growled, side eyeing the blue haired woman before you as he continued to cross swords with Zoro.
"I know, I know, you want to eliminate him, don't you? You do as you please. I'll take care of the girl," she smirked.
"Don't be so sur-." Just as you held up your mace for an attack, she sent a spike from her finger right through it, creating a gigantic hole.
This woman created a gigantic hole in your mace.
"Too bad," she taunted with a smile, "Guess the run down thing's had some wear and tear throughout the years."
You went wide eyed as you looked at the gaping hole within your weapon, dropping to your knees with tearful eyes.
"(y/n)! (y/n)! I know I'm a little late for your birthday present, but I think this'll make up for it," Corazon smiled, walking up to you with a big smile as he hid something behind his back.
You cocked a brow, crossing your arms at the man, "Coraaaaa, it's 34 days late."
"I thought you couldn't count."
"I'M SEVEN NOT STUPID!"
"Ya look pretty stupid," Trafalgar teased from his spot next to the fire, smirking.
"Shaddup, Traffy!" You huffed.
"Well, late or not I think you'll really like this. Ya ready?" Corazon smiled.
You grinned, "Ready!"
He pulled a mace out from behind his back and plopped into your tiny little hands, it making a loud clank as you dropped it from the overwhelming weight.
"A weapon?" You asked, confused.
"Not just any weapon, the last known weapon from Taiyo. I know you hate not having something to remember your village by, so I wanted to get you something that you can always have with you," he cheesed.
Your eyes glossed over, and you looked down at the weapon, lip quivering.
"Is this why you were gone for so long?"
"Yeah. The guy selling it lives pretty far away. But look! It's in great condition, right? You just gotta be careful with the-." Before he could even finish you were already on him, tackling the poor man in a bear hug.
"What's wrong?! Ya don't like it?!"
"I can't believe...you did this for me, Cora. No one's ever done something so nice for me," you sobbed into his shirt, tightly clutching onto the strings of his hat.
His face of concern soon turned to one of relief.
"Of course I did, kiddo," he smiled, stroking your hair, "I care about you. I care about the both of you brats. Giving you a little something for your birthday's the least I could do. You just gotta promise me you'll take good care of it, alright? That thing's one of a kind."
You beamed from ear to ear, "I promise!"
'Cora......I...I'm so sorry. I didn't know...I didn't see her...I wasn't paying attention.'
"YOU BASTARD!" You screamed, making everyone, even Zoro, go wide eyed.
"YOU MONSTER! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SIGNIFICANCE THIS MACE HAS TO ME! AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO PUNCH A HOLE IN IT AS IF IT'S NOTHING!"
You voice was full of pain and hurt, and your breathing was heavy, almost panting.
"(y/n)..." Zoro muttered, utterly shocked.
He had never seen you explode in such a way.
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
You quickly shot yourself at the woman winding up your fist for one monster punch, but the second it landed, you nearly bit your tongue off trying to muffle the scream that you wanted to let out.
She turned her face into spikes before you could truly land the punch.
"(Y/N)!" Zoro shouted, eyes wide as you pulled your impaled hand off her face.
"Focus," the man, who you believed to be Mr. 1, tutted, pushing Zoro into another column
"Did I strike a nerve?" Double Finger smirked, taking a hit from her pipe.
"I'm gonna strike oil with your head," you spat, your glare and tone practically glacial.
You quickly sent an axe kick straight to her head, impaling your foot but also sending her smashing into the ground face first.
"Told you so."
A brilliant white light appeared on your hand and foot, your injuries magically gone by the time the light dimmed to nothing.
"Wha-? But how? What devil fruit do you have?" She asked, lifting her head slowly.
"Angel-Angel fruit," you smirked down at her.
"Remember it, bitch."
You broke off two large, sword-like feathers from your wings, holding them in a swordsman's stance.
"I suggest you start running," you warned, with a smile.
The woman quickly scrambled to her feet and turned herself into a spike ball, hedgehog-ing herself away as fast as she possibly could.
Calmly, you formed the feather sword into a spear, slowly taking your aim, before releasing it at near lightning speed, impaling her right through her side.
She let out a blood curdling scream, coming out of her spiky form but still making a run for it.
You narrowed your eyes, holding your arms as if you held a bow and arrow, until one constructed of solid, golden light appeared in your grasp with three arrows drawn.
"Let's try....spine, shoulder blade, and ribcage," you stated, closing one eye to make sure you lined it up just right
And sure enough, your arrows bulls-eyed each one.
Double Finger dropped to the floor in pain, writhing in agony as you took your time slowly flying your way over there.
Once you made it, you paused and watched her plead and beg for her life, rushed apologies and promises rushing out her mouth like water.
You scoffed.
"You chose  your fate the second you caused a lick of damage to my mace," you looked down at her, your eyes not showing a single shred of remorse for what was about to come.
You made a gigantic mace out of light and wound it up, bringing it down on top of her.
She shouted in pain, the sound no doubt echoing throughout the entire country.
When the mace dissipated, she was nothing but a bloody and bruised mess, most definitely down for the count
"Bitch," you spat, turning around and walking back over to where you left your mace.
Picking it up, you placed your hands on the damaged area, running your fingers over it.
'I'll never forgive her.'
That's when you remembered.
"Zoro!"
Quickly, you zipped over to where you saw his fight move. And there you saw his opponent face down in the dirt...but Zoro face down in the dirt as well.
"Zoro!" You exclaimed, flying over and landing on your knees next to him, placing his head in your lap.
He was soaked in blood from head to toe, and was completely still, making your eyes go wide with worry.
'Shit!'
That is, until he let out an annoyed groan.
"That guy....was.......a pain in the ass," he panted, opening his eyes to look up at the sky.
"IDIOT! YOU SCARED ME!" You shouted, half angry and half relieved.
"You okay?" He asked, weakly turning to you, his eyes giving you a quick once over to double-check.
"I heard a bunch of screaming earlier but I didn't have the strength to move."
"It was the woman I was fighting, actually," you smiled, wiping some blood about to dribble into his eye.
"But we gotta get you to Chopper, ASAP."
"There's no time," he waved off, trying to sit up, "We gotta get to the town square and help."
"Just let me heal you, then," you sighed, getting ready to press your hand on his chest.
Until he grabbed your wrist.
"But your promise? You told me that you promised someone you'd never use you power for someone else's gain," he strained, the last bit of his strength clearly used to stop you.
You smiled, your heart fluttering in your chest at the fact that he remembered something from so long ago.
"Of course I gain from healing you, Zoro. I care about you and I don't want to see you in pain," you assured, resting your hand on his cheek.
"So please, let me heal you."
The faintest dusting of pink rested on his cheeks, but luckily all his blood was covering it.
He nodded, turning away so you could do your work.
Smiling, you pressed your hand flat on his chest, allowing your brilliant white light to envelope him and all of his injuries.
And when your light dimmed, he was as good as new.
"I haven't done that...in 12 years," you sighed, flopping down into his arms.
"(y/n)?" He asked, slightly concerned.
"I need....a minute. Think you can....carry me for a bit?" You panted, allowing yourself to already start drifting asleep.
Zoro cracked a smile, hoisting you up on his back, "Yeah. Get some rest. I'll-."
He was interrupted by the sound of your loud snoring, and let out a quite chuckle.
"Get some rest. I'll keep you safe."
海賊狩
"TEN!"
"Mhmm," you groaned, nuzzling into Zoro's back
"NINE!"
"Hey, (y/n)," Zoro called, shrugging his shoulders to shake you awake.
"EIGHT!"
"What?" You groaned, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, realizing that there was a whole lot of commotion going on around you.
"SEVEN!"
"Sorry to interrupt your nap but could you throw that bomb away from the city. It's in the clock," he asked, pointing up to this clock tower where these two weirdly dressed people were shouting numbers.
"SIX!"
"Fine," you sighed, hopping off his back.
"FIVE!"
"Wait...."
"FOUR!"
"Woman, we don't have a lot of time! What is it?!"
"THREE!"
"You gonna get me a big bottle of sake for this?"
"TWO!"
"YES! YES! JUST GO DO IT, PLEASE! BEFORE WE ALL DIE!"
"ONE!"
"Done."
You zipped up there in a blink, grabbing the bomb and flying straight up into the sky, letting it go off with a deafening BOOM!
All eyes went wide, including the ones of your crew.
"(Y/N)!!!" Everyone screamed.
"I TOLD HER TO HURRY UP!" Zoro exclaimed, tightly gripping his hair as he watched the ashy remains of the bomb fall from the sky.
His heart was in his throat.
This had to be a nightmare.
There's no way you were dead right now because of some damn sake.
Just then he heard a small sound. It was faint, but very distinct.
Like the sound of someone's laughter.
And as he looked closer at the falling debris, he saw something you-shaped falling fast.
And headed straight towards him.
He tried to run but it was too late. You had already landed on the poor man's back, laughing your ass off.
"Thanks for the cushion, Zoro," you smiled.
"WOMAN, GET THE HELL OFF ME!" He shouted, kicking his legs.
"HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU NOT DEAD?!" Nami, Usopp, and Vivi exclaimed in unison, shocked.
"Huh," you wondered, placing a finger on your chin. "Not too sure."
"(y/n)!" Chopper sobbed, jumping into your lap and crying into your shirt. "I thought you died!"
"It's alright, Chopper. I'm here now, see?" You pinched his cheek.
He sniffled, "I'm still gonna give you a check-up, just to be sure."
You cheesed, "Of course, doctor."
"That's my beautiful, kind, and strong (y/n)! Did you miss me, my loveeeee?" Sanji cooed, his arms doing the noodle thing they do.
"I STILL NEED YOU TWO TO GET THE HELL OFF ME!"

horror stories around campfire
All the crew was gathered on logs around the campfire. Lost in the depths of a new island, you had found a cave to serve as your home and protect you from bad weather among the immensity of the jungle that surrounded you.
The alcohol was thus happily welcomed while waiting for the log to recharge. Fortunately, after a week of waiting, you could finally leave tomorrow during the day.
Tonight was a celebration.
Unfortunately, the lack of rum which had run out due to the boredom of the stay as well as the fatigue linked to the heavy and humid atmosphere of the climate, had pushed you to keep the party reasonable. So you were sitting around the fire, laughing and talking to each other, while you more or less finished your meal. The alcohol was flowing but it was still in appropriate quantities compared to some other evenings.
However, Yasopp stood up and began to speak. With a piece of meat still in one hand and a glass in the other, he told the crew how he had once been chased by a village of cannibalistic men when he was a child.
You stood staring at him, caught up in the frightening story even though you knew it was made up, without flinching.
But you suddenly jumped when, during a tense moment, you felt something suddenly jump on your back. You reacted violently because of the surprise and, at the same time, you spilled some of your beer on your knees and your hand. Shanks' hot laugh rang in your ear a while before that of your other comrades.
You then felt the captain wrap his arms around your waist as he rested his chin on your shoulder. A bit humiliated at being made fun of for spilling your alcohol on yourself, you unceremoniously removed him from you. However, far from being offended, he immediately returned to the charge by taking your hand while miming an exaggerated apology.
Now that the crew's attention was once again diverted to the shooter, you let yourself soften at Shanks' comical behavior.
You even almost smiled at his excessive bowing.
But, as he moved in for the most ridiculous hand kiss, you felt the wetness of his tongue licking a length across the top of your hand. You quickly took it away, disgusted. For his part, he laughed at your pout.
“You would be delicious to eat, too.” he stated, returning to his own glass while throwing you a wink over the top.

halloween party
Tonight was the night dedicated to celebration in Alabasta so all the cities across the country had set up open-air markets as well as light decorations all over the streets.
And Alubarna was not to be outdone.
So, when you learned that Vivi couldn't leave the castle that evening because none of her guards were available to take her to the capital, it didn't take much for you to sneak over her room. After some coaxing, she ended up putting on a colorful veil to hide her well-known hair and face from the population before letting herself be guided out of her palace.
You then very quickly reached the scene of the celebrations.
Everywhere in the streets, the shops were decorated with pumpkin-shaped lanterns while the trees and walls were illuminated with several hundred small orange lights that twinkled like stars in the night. Their hue was less vibrant than that of the Alabasta sun but they seemed no less captivating to the princess. In the air, the smells of pumpkins and spices were everywhere along with those of hot alcohol.
The stands sold all kinds of items.
There were drinks, hot meals and biscuits. But there were also spiritual stands with tarot cards or pendulums. Some others instead sold toys such as ghost balloons and fake spiders.
Around you, families were weaving while children were happily rowdying among the passersby.
Around a stand, you felt Vivi take your hand to pull you into a nearby street. She then pinned you against the wall, out of sight, before diving towards your lips to kiss you. As quickly as she had leaned in, she drew back until her face was visible. There, you saw her with a beautiful smile on her lips and her eyes shining with happiness while her face stood half lit by the lights of the festivities.
"Thanks." she whispered before leaning toward your lips again.

couple costumes
"Please! Please! Please!" Ace begged while kneeling in front of you, head bowed, with his hands raised above his head in prayer. "Let me choose our costumes. I've been thinking about it for months!"
Because of the time he was begging you on the ground, you began to hesitate. In itself, you hadn't planned any particular costumes for the crew's Halloween party tonight but you couldn't help but fear the worst. Especially coming from him who had the habit of walking around shirtless everywhere in just his shorts. You were a little afraid of the amount of fabric he would offer you for tonight.
However, you end up accepting: it was just a party, you weren't going to die for a revealing outfit!
Ace immediately jumped for joy before kissing you right on the lips and running off to his room. You just had time to hear him say to wait for him before he closed the door behind him. You then waited quietly behind the door, afraid to see what costume he was going to show up in. You prayed he wouldn't take anything too sexy or pirates like Boa Hancock.
Finally, the door opened ajar.
"You are ready?" he asked without you being able to see him yet.
Once you had nodded, he opened the door wide and came out like a beautiful devil.
The first thing that caught your eye was the huge purple afro wig he wore on his head. Then came his dark red leotard, which left nothing to the imagination considering how little it covered and how tight it was. And then came his fishnet stockings. At this point, you weren't even surprised that he was wearing stiletto boots, a pearl necklace, and heavy makeup with huge false eyelashes. His fake tattoo on his chest didn't even make you blink anymore, either.
Proud of himself, he spread his arms from his body before turning around to show you the costume completely.
"How do you find me?" he asked you, proud as a peacock. “I am one of the abominable commanders of the Revolutionary Army!”
"You're... original?"
The answer seemed to suit him since he gave you a bright smile before retracing his steps to bring you back your outfit.
When you arrived later at the party, he wore his outfit like a child at the school fair while you stood by his side, still stunned. You were dressed in a long two-tone orange and white fur coat as well as the rest of the paraphernalia. You wore a wig of the same colors with a bow tie and a glass of wine already filled.
You hadn't expected that when he asked you to choose your costumes.

black cat
As you walked down a dimly lit street with Law, you heard something moving next to you.
Then a meow.
Immediately, a completely black cat came out of the darkness before walking directly towards both of you. He went first to the surgeon and rubbed against his legs while letting out little meows. However, when he saw that the man wasn't even looking down at him, he changed his target and came towards you.
He then started his trick again, this time rubbing against your legs.
“Don’t do that,” Law growled when you reached down to pet him. “it’s not hygienic.”
Yet, that didn't stop you from plunging your hand into his fur. It was soft and warm and the cat immediately began to rub against your palm, begging for more petting. He didn't seem aggressive at all so you bent down completely to take him into your arms.
"No!" the surgeon continued while raising his eyes to the sky when you were at eye level with the feline. “It’s dirty, you don’t even know where it went!”
But you continued to pet the animal, now snuggled comfortably against your chest, while looking at your lover who was desperately trying to avoid looking at the creature.
But said creature suddenly turned its eyes towards him and started meowing again while starting to wriggle in your arms.
When you put him down, he went back to the surgeon and started rubbing against his legs again. He rubbed himself against one, then passed between his feet to rub against the other. He made figure eights between Law's ankles then rubbed his head against the bottom of his calf. All while continuing to make his adorably cute little noises.
Finally, Law sighed under your amused gaze and looked away from the stars. He leaned his eyes toward his feet and met those of the feline.
You knew at that moment that the cat had won.
Sure enough, he crouched down to get closer to the animal but, instead of remaining still so he could run his hand through its fur, the feline instead jumped onto his lap. Unbalanced, Law hugged him so that he didn't fall and he took the opportunity to move up towards his neck to place his paws on his shoulders and his head under his chin.
Law stood up to steady himself with the cat still snuggled against him.
When he saw your mocking look, he opened his mouth to defend himself but was immediately cut off by a purr coming from the little creature. He immediately closed his mouth and, avoiding your gaze, he dipped his hand back into the fur to start stroking it again.
"Shut up." he growled.

automn with pumpkin juice
The afternoon was quite cool but you were enjoying the moment thanks to Sabo's company.
After days of rain, you decided to finally go out a little to walk around. There were no bars or anything around, so the walk seemed like a good solution to stretch your legs.
You found yourself walking on the forest paths in your high boots to protect yourself from the puddles, while the red and orange leaves under your feet crunched when you stepped on them. Other leaves of this fiery hue still clung to the branches of the trees around you and gave them the look of flames when they were shaken by the wind. A smell of rain drowned the forest.
When the ride came to an end, you headed home.
You went to take your shower first then Sabo went. He went straight out from the bathroom to the kitchen and heated up two cups of pumpkin juice. As the liquid heated, he lit the fireplace and gathered the soft blankets on the couch in front of your watching eyes.
Finally, he returned to the kitchen to serve the two drinks and returned before placing the cups on the small tables. He sat quietly on the couch by the fireplace and lifted his arm so you could come and snuggle against him.
So you jumped on him to press yourself against his side.
He closed his arms around you and covered you both with the soft blankets. He then collected the two pumpkin juices and handed you your hot cup, which you held pleasantly in your hands, before starting to drink his.
You spent the rest of the afternoon like this: warm in your living room, curled up together, while drinking your juices.

The strawhats sleeping in a room of the Alubarna palace after their battles in the Alabasta arc:
Luffy is splayed in his bed and snoring the loudest, but at least he has all limbs in the bed.
Zoro was invading Sanji's bed, one arm and one leg already on it even when the beds were separated by a certain space. He was also snoring, but not as much as Luffy.
Nami is the only person who sleeps decently, blanket perfectly tucked around her body.
Ussop had his ass and a leg up in the air, his body slumped in a weird shape. Points for staying in his bed, just like Luffy.
Sanji was completely in the ground in front of his bed with only his legs up and visible. Very funny to figure out he's the messiest sleeper of them all.
Chopper was a little messy but nothing worse than what I've described. Second place in the decent sleeper scale.

Sanji/Germa Kingdom and Uranus
As I've read some theories about the Ancient Weapons, something about Sanji specifically caught my attention. It's probably more of a big coincidence rather than something Oda planned, but I found it interesting nonetheless and wanted to share with whoever reads this.
So, by now, everyone has already noticed that the three weapons have a connection with three Greco Roman deities, who in turn are connected with the three last planets of the solar system (when Pluto was still considered a planet).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Along with that, a lot of people noticed that the Straw Hats' three main fighters (after Luffy) each have a connection with these weapons through their mothers' name and/or titles.
Pluton-> Pluto (Roman)-> Hades (Greek name)-> God of the Underworld (Hell)-> Underworld-> Earth (Tera is his mother) -> Zoro: King of Hell
Poseidon-> Neptune (Roman)-> Poseidon: God of the Seas-> Sea-> Jimbei: First Son of the Sea/Knight of the Sea
Uranus-> Father Sky, the personification of the Heavens (before Zeus took over)-> Sky-> Sora (Sky) Vinsmoke and Sora, Warrior of the Sea -> Sanji
But there is another connection, at least for the two first weapons: their locations also were deeply connected with Zoro and Jimbei. How?
Jimbei is from Fishmen Island -> that's where Poseidon is located.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zoro's ancestors came from Wano -> where Pluton is located
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This could be just a very odd coincidence that Oda might not have noticed he did, but let's assume, for the sake of this theory, that it was planned.
With the connection that Sanji shares with Uranus, it might also give us a hint as to where it might be hidden, or was hidden.
If this connection was made on purpose, we have two possibilities:
1. First one is the Germa Kingdom. We can suspect that Sanji's origin story still is not over and the past of the Vinsmokes still is a bit mysterious to us. We heard that they were taken down by the Marines because they were tyrannical rulers, but there's a big chance it was a lie (Oda even let this idea hang in the air through Vito).
Tumblr media
The Marines and WG love to spread fake rumors through propaganda to discredit their enemies. They did that with Kuma, who might not have been a tyrannical ruler, but only an enemy of the WG.
Tumblr media
Thia part of the theory will be more of speculation and I needs a lot more evidence in the manga, but let's do it for fun.
We can suspect the GK probably was a threat to the WG not because of its tyrannical rule (we have seen a lot of tyrant leaders in OP and most of the time, nothing is done to stop them as long as there is no threat to the WG), but because they might've been hiding something related to the AK OR threatening the rule of the WG in some way (or both). I always found it interesting how Oda chose to make GK a powerful Kingdom, so powerful it was able to rule over the entire North Blue.
And the fact that, after Germa's defeat, they decided to publish stories that portrayed the Vinsmokes as villains might indicate that they probably were the opposite and their only real "crime" was to threaten the WG in some way.
As you can already suspect with the beginning of this thread, the crime could have been connected with the Ancient Weapons - and after they lost, the WG probably took their territory and every information and weaponry they had.
Something that bugs me about Germa too is the fact that they are a country without land to rule over and Judge is actively trying to take the North back but at the same time, they have the recognition of the WG to attend the Reverie. Why? Wouldn't they, even before the WCI fiasco, have realized that?
And if the Vinsmokes once ruled over the entire North Blue, they surely had some type of capital, like Alubarna, right? What happened to that place? Was it destroyed like Ohara? Or is it under the WG's control?
One of the other factors that could go against this theory is that the Germa Kingdom began 300 years ago - 600 years after the Void Century, so there could be no way the Vinsmokes knew about Joyboy like, i.e. Queen Lili did. Or could it?
Tumblr media
You see, that period referred to the time when the GK took over the entire North, but they probably existed a long time before that, as an expanding kingdom. We don't really know for how long the Vinsmokes existed and ruled.
2. The other option is that Uranus could have been hidden in the birthplace of Sora, Sanji's mother. However, we do not know her origins, much less the reasons for her to marry Judge. We can reach a little and assume that because of her name, she could have come from a Sky Island? Sanji himself seems to share some interesting connection with the Sky elements (and sters) and in recent chapters a lot of fans pointed out his interest in stargazing and even Oda's weird drawing connecting him with UFOs and even space elements itself. Here are two links for theories I found on the matter:
Tumblr media
But this part has even less evidence than the Germa option, so we will have to wait and see.
The fact remains that Germa is probably coming back, and with it we might find out more about its past along with Sora's. And with the manga coming to an end and focusing more on the Void Century, I don't think it's far-fetched to assume that Germa might hold some important connection with it that will surely help the Straw Hats in their future adventures. Only time will tell. Thanks for reading this crazy theory!
Again, I know most of it has no foundation, but I felt like it would be interesting to point out before we got the definite answer. If you have any theories of where Uranus might be hidden, feel free to comment!

(It's actually for 4 hours from official release on shuesa).
But, do you think Croc know about "Vegapunk press release" and try to find pluton? Do you think pluton actually some ship like noa or something?
It was revealed and confirmed to us all the way back in Chapter 352 that Pluton is a WARSHIP (thus there being blueprints for it that were passed down from shipwright to shipwright on the shipwright island)
Tumblr media
We don't know how much Crocodile knows about Pluton and whether or not he realized it was a ship and not just a magic gun, though personally I wouldn't be surprised if he did know it was a ship.
This got a bit longer than I wanted it to so I'm putting it under the cut, there be chapter 1113 spoilers so be warned
Now it has been revealed to us that the OP world is sinking into the ocean, but what we can't say for sure if this is a "natural phenomena", or if it's something the Gorosei and Imu are allowing to happen if not straight up trying to cause.
Like there has been some hinting through out OP so far to suggest that the sea level might be rising and may have been higher in the past. Many have pointed out how multiple locations through out the series have been built high up (like Alubarna, Water 7, even the Flower Capital in Wano, parts of Dressrosa, etc) in a way that could survive high water levels (especially strange in cases like Alubarna mind you) (also see the Tenryuubito living on top of the Red Line far far above where the ocean could reach them, a place that was once the home of the Lunarians). Additionally there have been nods to the idea that the ocean as we know it has been changing on its own for years; the ocean creeping in on the giant river in Alabasta, the Agua Lagunas getting worse and worse each year, and although it happened at the same time Lulutia was destroyed we did see the ocean creeping in on Kamabakka Queendom and taking away their sandy beaches. There's also something to be said about all the natural structures through out the OP worls that just seem to spout near infinite amounts of water constantly into the world (Water 7 and Wano)
I'm sure we're going to find out in the next chapter which it is, but either way, there's probably two options here; that either the sea level rising is a natural disaster that has happened in the past and is merely about to happen again like an ice age, or the World Government is somehow behind it.
And yeah, with stuff like this
Tumblr media
It's kind of natural for people to jump to the assumption that the Gorosei may want to commit genocide with a biblical Great Flood to maintain their status quo. My thing is that if they had the ability to just flush the unwanted down the drain whenever they want, then why bother wanting to create new ancient weapons like the Mother Flame, why bother wanting to obtain Robin and potentially the ancient weapons that're already out there? Like they won't need those weapons if they can just cause a flood whenever
To me, it'd make more sense if the coming flood is an unavoidable natural disaster, one the Gorosei know is coming, and they're just going to let it happen. It'll just help them get rid of the unwanted easier, and the survivors will be easy to then control and rule over with Buster Calls and whatever weapons of mass destruction they might have; "the Great Cleansing" V. Nusjuro mentioned here being them actively wiping out people and islands for their own benefit instead of a flood doing it for them
But who knows, maybe the flood is something the Gorosei are making happen (or maybe they have the power to prevent it but intentionally aren't doing anything to stop it). Like I said, I'm sure we're finding out next chapter.
ANYWAYS, BACK TO CROCODILE
So we don't know what his deal is. He wanted enough military might to oppose the World Government, but what for? Most One Piece villians have wanted gigantic militaries for themselves, some because they want to become Pirate King and know they need that much power to fulfill that dream, others for seemingly no reason.
But why did Crocodile want enough power to oppose the WG?
Who the fuck knows, it's a giant mystery.
Like I doubt Crocodile wanted Pluton just to survive the flood on a big ol' ship though, like there's plenty of ships out there and with his money surely he'd be able to custom build a giant ship if he wanted to. But if Crocodile had somehow found out and knew about the coming flood, and if it is somehow caused by the WG, then sure, if he wanted to obtain Pluton to stop the WG that could add up. Or maybe he wanted the weapon just to get revenge on Whitebeard and become Pirate King
Literally could be anything, no way to know what, we just have to wait and see (=torture)
