“Bradley,” Jake said, moaning as Bradley sucked on his neck.

Bradley didn’t respond, he just sucked another mark and rubbed his mustache against it.

Jake whined. “Bradley,” he said, more urgently.

Bradley pulled Jake impossibly closer against his body and tucked his face in his shoulder. “What baby, what do you need to tell me,” he whispered in Jake’s ear.

“I huh,” Jake hesitated and ducked his head down into Bradley’s space.

“Don’t get shy on me now sweetheart,” Bradley said softly.

“It’s not that, it’s just,” Jake trailed off again, his cheeks tinged pink.

Bradley pulled his head out of Jake’s shoulder to look the younger man in the eyes.

“You know you were my first,” Jake said looking away.

Bradley felt a flash of heat go through him. “I do,” Bradley said, a soft smirk on his face.

It had been years ago, the product of one too many jabs and longing glances. Jake had come over unannounced and had started bitching at Bradley for something neither of them can remember now, and Bradley had pulled him in for a kiss and before they both knew it Jake was on his back informing Bradley he had never had sex before. The night had devolved into, what Bradley would later admit to himself, pure love making. They had gotten together a few weeks later.

Now, with years between them and a break up later, Jake was suddenly shy. He leaned forward and tucked his face into Bradley’s shoulder and mumbled something.

Bradley wrapped his arms around Jake’s waist and placed a soft kiss on Jake's head. “What was that,” he asked.Jake mumbled again and Bradley chuckled. “You’re gonna have to speak up sweetheart, I can’t hear you from your hiding place.”

Jake went really still and then turned his head. “You’re my only,” he whispered.

Bradley felt like he had been sucker punched. “Baby,” Bradley choked out, tightening his grip on Jake’s waist.

Jake whined and hid his face again. “It’s been a while, years. I wanna be good for you,” he mumbled.

“You were,” Bradley stressed. “You will be,” he said, coaxing Jake out of hiding to look him in the eye. “I’ll guide you,” Easley promised.

The night was full of Bradley making true on his promise and the two of them getting reacquainted with each other’s body.

Mal for the character ask game perhaps??

Of course!

One aspect I love about them: I love Mal’s loyalty. It’s a little sad but this man has been a servant to others his whole life- to Alina, to the first army, to Ravka. This man made the very blatant choice to sacrifice himself for the world and I do believe he’d make that choice again and again. He thinks through a filter of what he can give others and that makes me just want to hide him from the world.

One aspect I wish more people understood about them: Okay on the flip side of that, this man has his own agency!!! Despite sharing the same upbringing as Alina, and living her to bits, he has his own thoughts and opinions. He is not a saint, not a Grisha, not a king, but he is a soldier. A soldier’s point of view of war I think is both needed and valuable and people need to stop acting like being “normal” makes him irrelevant and in the way.

One headcanon I have about them: My headcanon is that Mal comes up with stupid nicknames for everyone in his life. It starts out insulting, (he never lives down calling an all powerful saint “shadow man”) but eventually turns endearing. He refuses to give Nikolai a nickname just to wind him up, and Nikolai has been going on stealth missions to try and gain a nickname in a totally natural and accidental way ever since. Everyone sometimes forgets that Mal is the best tracker in Ravka and can literally feel you coming you dumbass. (The nickname dumbass sticks from then on.)

One character I love seeing them interact with: Okay unexpected answer even for me, but I really loved getting to see him interact with Baghra. I think unconsciously Mal has been missing some kind of cosmic purpose his entire life. Destiny just kind of follows him around like a shadow, and he doesn’t even understand what it means. Baghra meets him and reads him instantly. Perhaps this is because they’re related, or because of her age, but there’s something so absolutely bone chiling but right and surreal about their conversations.

One character I wish they would interact with more: Okay I don’t know if this even counts but, I sort of wish he and Matthias had gotten to meet and be friends. They both have lived such strict and militaristic upbringings and yet risked it all and threw away everything they knew in order to follow their hearts. I just think they might’ve pulled some interesting insight from each other!

One headcanon I have about them and another character: In my head Mal and Alina and a bunch of their kids spends lots of late nights outside during the heat of the summer. One night everyone bursts into laughter after a bug lands on Mal’s face and strangely starts to glow. The kids run around screaming trying to catch a firefly for themselves. Alina manages to catch one in between two palms, and for a second light bleeds through little gaps in between her fingertips. Mal just kind of sits back and smiles because Alina has always been so blindingly bright, and he’s happy to know there are still moments where she simply glows.

There's some writing on the wall near the Bergooz car. I think it says "Phosphorus fucked(?) here". According to Wiki, Phosphorus may refer to the morning star, as in Lucifer Morningstar (Satan!). I think the "professor" may actually be possessed, possibly trying to silence Ryan bc he is the one foretold to "save the day somehow". idk where the hologram stuff comes in. There was also a shadow and footsteps after the strange sound– Satan or the real professor trying to send Ryan a sign?

Just wanna say your blog description is so real like yeah, I don't believe in ghosts, so I'm siding with Shane on that, but... Ryan's so girly pop, how can you not fall for that man

you get it!!! :) 💛 i mostly put that in my bio because when i first joined the fandom (which oh god it’s been so long now!), i was noticing a lot of unwarranted ryan hate (sadly, mostly from shaniacs) and i wanted to kinda establish that although i am a shaniac, my account will NEVER EVER be hurtful or unnecessary mean towards ryan!!!

i want my account to be a positive space where people feel completely comfortable to be themselves and talk about shared interests in whatever way makes them happy, so i wrote my bio and blog introduction with that in mind! :)

For the Character ask game: Alina

Yay!! Thank you, I’d love to rave about Alina right about now.

One aspect I love about them: I love Alina’s compassion and understanding. She stuck by Mal her entire life. She understood Genya and befriended her even after being betrayed by her. She accepted Zoya as an ally after their rough start. She knew The Darkling was wrong and perhaps past redemption, but she still felt some compassion toward his suffering and I love her for that.

One aspect I wish people knew about them: She is so inherently flawed, and that’s a good thing! She is so caring and good at forgiving people but she does not always see their point of view before being fed it. She falls into the trap of temptation. She loves her powers which is not inherently bad, but causes her to make choices she might otherwise not. Alina is such a ball of sunshine at times, but the other side of that coin is sometimes being naive. And I love her for all of this!!! She learns and grows and the journey is so satisfying. Her ending, though bittersweet, is very much earned.

One headcanon I have about them: My headcanon is that she is such an attention whore that all of her loved ones refuse to let her near them while they are working asdfhjk. It’s not necessarily that she wants to be the center of attention, but more that she wants to feel loved and love them in return and sometimes her friends are like ???? I AM BUSY ma’am, please stop trying to hold my hand for two seconds.

One character I love seeing them interact with: trying hard not to make everything about my ship so, I actually love her dynamic with Nikolai so much! The golden retriever chaos is unmatched when they are together. I think they are so alike in many ways, and bring out so much softness in each other. I also think they should not be left alone without supervision so Zoya and Mal take turns on babysitting duty and pretend to be annoyed but they find it hilarious.

One character I wish they would interact with more: I love the girl gang and I would specifically like to see more of Alina and Zoya being besties! They are different in ways where they sometimes rub each other the wrong way but I love it for that reason. They’d help each other out of their shells in fun ways.

One headcanon that involves them and one other character: Okay finally to Malina, my headcanon is that when they sleep Alina is the big spoon. Every morning at the crack of dawn soldier man Mal is awake but Alina is groaning at him and not letting go of him when he tries to get up out of bed. Once she kept him there until mid morning when they hear the sounds of little kids causing chaos and she tries to be more of a morning person after that. Ironically the sun saint never becomes a morning person.

honestly maybe it's just me but buck is literally repeating the same steps as with natalia and taylor as with tommy. they meet, he has a crush, go on a date, it's awful and the date leaves, they then come back, then try for real. Like it sounds like even though Buck is off the hamster wheel in regards to his sexuality he very much is still on the hamster wheel when it comes to repetitive mistakes when it comes to his relationships.

I woudn't say that at all. Yes of course there are some similarities - there always will be - between Buck dating Tommy and the Buck who dated Taylor or Natalia. But the reality is they are worlds apart.

For starters Tommy didn't leave because the date was awful, he left to give Buck some space to do a bit more figuring out - he said so himself that his what he was doing. He chose to leave the ball in Bucks court, understanding this was a big new thing for him and that it wouldn't be right to continue anything until Buck was ready. Buck then contacted him when he was and they met up and decided mutually to give things ago.

This is very different to both Taylor and Natalia - both of whom left after something big had happened in Bucks life (Eddie being shot and Kameron popping up out of seemingly nowhere) and then they were the ones to come back - to chase after Buck.

Look we can have whole conversations about the chasing being chased aspect of things but the long and short of it is That both Taylor and (to a lesser extent) Natalia, Ali and Abby chased Buck in one way or another and when it suited them. Tommy has never chased Buck - he shot his shot, sure, made his interest known, but he hasn't once chased Buck. Buck has always mistaken things for him doing the chasing (he is an very unreliable narrator) becuse he gets invested fast and so pursues things. His mistake is moving to fast - falling to quickly for people.

This is the major fundamental difference with Tommy, who is older and wiser and settled with who he is and what he wants. He also has the understanding of being queer and coming out later in life - of discovering that part of yourself that has been hidden and the fact it might take Buck a minute to figure out things.

The other big thing for me is the level of honest Buck is being here - this isn't something we've seen before in this way. He has been completely up front with Tommy when it has been important for him to be so (I would argue he did do the same for Natalia but that he was more forced into it by circumstance). That coffee they had was a very very clear example of that, he sat down, appologised and laid his cards out on the table. He's told the two most important people in his life that he's bi and interested in Tommy and yes maybe going to a wedding is a bit fast, but he also knows most of the people there so he's not walking in to a big unknown in t hat respect and he has a lot of goodwill with the firefam at this moment after flying them to the curise ship so they could rescue Athena and Bobby.

In all honesty I'm far more circumspect about Natalias behaviour as well - far more than a large portion of fandom was towards her. Did I like her as a character or for Buck, No I didn't, but she also didn't do all that much wrong in my eyes, her wanting to take a minute when presented with all that Bucks life is, to think things through before jumping into something is perfectly acceptable and healthy behaviour. The reality is that she was more interested in Bucks death than she was in his life and thats probably what brought her back - that itching need to know more about his death and what it was like.

But she came into his life when he was in a rough place mentally and it was never going to go well for that reason alone. All of Bucks girlfriends have that in common - they met him on the job and then come inot his life when he is having some form of internal crisis. Abby when he had just lost his first person on the job - making him emotionally vulnerable. Ali when he's accepted his relationship with Abby wasn't going anywhere a new guy had just started at work (yes they were getting on by this point but it is still new and an unknown) and his sister had just come back into his life after having had no contact for several years - and he knows she's in a fragile place. Taylor messes hm around but when she comes back into his life and wants to date him - Eddie has just been shot and he's looking after Christopher - he's massively emotionally compromised. None of these are good times to start a romantic relationship.

That isn't the case with Tommy - Bucks actually in a pretty decent place - yes the whole discovering he's queer could be argued as making him emotionally compromised, but he's being given the grace to do things at his own pace - in a healthy way - Tommy is letting Buck dictate the pace they go at.

We also have to remember that we are in a tv show - every single character who isn't a main (or to a certain extent a recurring) is there to act as a storytelling vehicle for one of the mains - their character traits are always going to be those which help get a main character from A to B, to move the story along and to make sure our mains learn something about themselves and their fellow mains along the way.

Abby was about getting Buck from being a bit of a clueless player into a long term (ish) relationship - about growing him out of his jock ways and getting him (and us) to recognise that he isn't a player that he wants real love and a long term relationship. Ali was about him getting over his first big disappointment - about getting hm to move on and about getting him his own place to exist. Taylor was about learning what love didn't look like, about how to treat others and showing him what he wasn't looking for and teaching him not to compromise on his morals. Natalia was all about Buck reconciling himself with his death and rebirth and as soon as he had done that, she was gone.

Tommy is about Buck discovering his queer identity, having a safe space to explore that and about getting him ready for Eddie - its why Tommy is soooo similar to Eddie - Buck will come out of this relationship (whatever form it takes) understanding who he is, and recognising what he wants is what he already almost has - Eddie.

Tommy is also about helping manoeuvre Eddie into questioning himself - another reason why he is so similar to Eddie - Eddie needed to see a gay version of himself - and with Buck to actually start thinking about himself and who he is and what he wants.

So all this to say that Nonnie - Buck has very much got off that hamster wheel and he is very much not making the same mistakes over again. I'm very excited to see how it continues to play out and I'm overjoyed with how the show is handling telling this story.

He was too busy trying to do his own chores and was unaware of the other basically salivating. A very apparent tent in their pants and trying so hard to keep themselves from grabbing him.

His ass just.. looked phenomenal.

And fuck, that collar. It looked beautiful around his neck. So beautiful that the need to rip it off with their teeth was becoming a damn must. He looked mighty sinful.

It went along like that for some time until they couldn't handle it anymore. They practically devoured him deliciously.
