Kamala Harris herself has now borrowed Walz’s lingo and is also calling her opponents “weird”, while Walz is all over our television screens, bolstering the vice-president’s candidacy and playing “attack dog” against the Trump/Vance Republican ticket. I’ll be honest: last month, I would have struggled to pick Walz out of a lineup. This month? I’m Walz-pilled. I have watched dozens of his interviews and clips. And I’m far from alone. He has an army of new fans across the liberal-left: from former Bernie Sanders 2020 campaign co-chair Nina Turner, to one-time Democratic congressman Beto O’Rourke, to gun-control activist David Hogg. “In less than 6 days, I went from not knowing who Tim Walz is,” joked writer Travis Helwig on X, “to deep down believing that if he doesn’t get the VP nod I will storm the capitol.” According to Bloomberg, the Harris campaign has narrowed down its “top tier” of potential running mates to three “white guy” candidates: Walz (hurrah!), plus the Arizona senator Mark Kelly and Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro. Both Kelly and Shapiro have their strengths – and both represent must-win states for the Dems. Allow me, however, to make the clear case for Walz. First, there’s his personality. The 60-year-old governor would bring energy, humor and some much-needed bite to the Democratic presidential ticket. There’s a reason why his videos have been going viral in recent days. Tim Kaine he ain’t. Pick the charismatic and eloquent Walz and you have America’s Fun Uncle ready to go. Then, there’s his résumé. A popular midwest governor from a rural town. A 24-year veteran of the army national guard. A high school teacher who coached the football team to its first state championship. It’s almost too perfect! Finally, there’s his governing record. You will struggle to find a Democratic governor who has achieved more than Walz in the space of a single legislative session. Not Shapiro. Not JB Pritzker of Illinois. Not even Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan. [...] Think about it. Democrats can have Tim Walz on the ticket, who called the anti-war, pro-Palestinian ‘uncommitted’ movement “civically engaged” and praised them for “asking for a change in course” and “for more pressure to be put on” the White House, or they can have Josh Shapiro, who called for a crackdown on anti-war, pro-Palestinian college protesters and even compared them to the KKK. They can have Walz on the ticket, who has reportedly “emerged among labor unions as a popular pick” after signing “into law a series of measures viewed as pro-worker” including banning non-compete agreements and expanding protections for Amazon warehouse workers, or they can have Mark Kelly, who opposed the pro-labor Pro Act in the Senate (but has since touted support for it). They can have Walz, who guaranteed students in Minnesota not just free breakfasts but free lunches, or Shapiro, who has courted controversy in Pennsylvania with his support for school vouchers. They can have Walz, who calls his Republican opponents “weird” and extreme, or Kelly, who calls his Republican opponents “good people” who are “working really hard”. This isn’t rocket science. Walz is the obvious choice. Not only is he the ideal “white guy” running mate for Harris, against both Trump and Vance, but he is already doing the job on television and online, lambasting Vance in particular over IVF treatment and insisting he mind his “own damn business”.
Zeteo News founder Mehdi Hasan for The Guardian on why picking Tim Walz as Kamala Harris's running mate is the best option (07.29.2024).
Zeteo News founder Mehdi Hasan wrote in The Guardian why Tim Walz should be Kamala Harris’s running mate. Hasan’s opinion piece is worth reading.

Hello!!
I just wanted to say how much I love this account. As someone who's been very open about their dislike for Marinette, it's great seeing prompts where she's the one getting salted on.
I have a few ideas for prompts if people want to expand on them:
• Typically in student transfer fics, it's Marinette going to a different class/school. I'd love to see the potential of Adrien being the one who changes class/school. Whether it's because he was thrown under the bus for knowing Lila's lies or because he learned Marinette was stalking him and he didn't feel safe being that close to her anymore. Like, even switching seats isn't enough for him to feel comfortable since she may also ask to switch seats or partner up with him for group projects. And what do you know, he actually flourishes in his new class/school.
If we want to go for an angstier route: with the thrown out of the bus option, his "friends" start ignoring him. It starts off that way at least, but then they begin to bad mouth him, maybe even bully him. Either way, it gets to him and shows in his work. It's one of those extremely rare times when Gabriel is actually a good dad. And seeing how upset and stressed his son is over this, he has him pulled from the class/school and put into a new one. There is no threat this time, because he knows doing it this time would be helping Adrien.
• I've said it in my own account and I'll say it here, give me Amazon Marinette. There is potential there. But noooo, she has to go the BatFam. A past ladybug miraculous wielder is close by, but no, have her go the vigilantes of Gotham.
Well, how about we actually see her get training by said past ladybug miraculous wielder. And during her training, Diana, aka Wonder Woman, captures her with her lasso of truth. From there they find things out that make them question if Marinette should even be Ladybug.
Meanwhile, in Gotham, Chat Noir is having a blast doing some crime with his new Catmom.
• While she's expelled, Marinette makes social media account (MDC) where she posts her fashion designs and rants about her personal life. She goes on and on about what's going on while keeping everything vague and anonymous. She eventually gets back into DuPont but continues the account anyways.
She's happy when people side with her, but when people don't she gets upset and blocks them before making a new post about how people never side with her. Everything she writes about is from her own perspective. She's the one who got hurt the most. She's the one who people ignored. She's the one who tried to tell the truth only for people to tell her she was wrong. People should feel bad for her. And they do.
Until someone begins to break down her posts. They spill details she omitted or exaggerated to fit her story. They spill how, for someone who tried to say hard to show her crush she loved him and make him realize he loved her how she loved him, she did a good job at stalking him. This makes people question MDC and more people begin to call her out. Some people even begin to see through the cracks and realize MDC is Marinette.
Marinette tries everything she can to recover from this. But she can't. And in one last ditch effort, she messages the account who first exposed her, asking why they did it. What did they have to gain from this? Easy. You messed with my cousin, Marinette. The only person I care about other than my mother. And with that, she knows who found her out. Felix.
I just think there should be a story where Marinette used her alias, MDC, to say things she wouldn't as Marinette online, because she feels that safety of being behind a screen. She's not expecting to be cancelled because of how popular MDC is. So when she is, she tries to do everything she can to get things under control, but is unsuccessful. And it's Felix because he has the skills to do so and is the one person who has no prior relationship with her. They've never met. They're not friends. They're not even enemies prior to this.
If it were, say, Chloe, it'd be more likely that people would side with MDC. Because she can bring up how Chloe always bullied her. Marinette can't say anything about Felix, because they never interacted. He knows that. She has nothing on him that won't reveal something she doesn't want to be revealed. Whether he knows this or not is unclear.
Hello to you too! Thank you for sharing your ideas BTW, it's great that there are people who want to come up with thier own salt prompts, considering the amount of different ways a prompt can go!

wait who is this German visitor with the cowboy boots and whatnot
a recap
So we have this foreign exchange student from back in the 80s who has kept in touch with our family for the last 35 years and my parents stay with him when they go to europe or asia (hes an auto exec who lived there too) and vice versa. This guy also has BiPolar Disorder that he refuses to get medicated. His entire family and friends have parted ways with him over time because he wont get treatment and is probably the most annoying person the planet (in my opinion). His girlfriend is finally over it moved back to Japan. It sounds like his job might be gone too. So he decides to annoy the last people he hasand shows up on our doorstep for xmas. He proceeds to terrorize our family with a 24/7 grunting, screaming, stomping tantrum over the course of a couple weeks. I lock myself in my room and ignore him which pisses him off. He wears really loud beads on his wrists and reeks of cologne. (the house is absolutely ruined with the smell, we need to call some kind of professional cleaner. My mom threw away all the linens) He plays some kind of German Ska music that is truly the worst noise you will ever hear . He spend hours online trying to fuck/marry/kill some ukranian model/whore/catfish. He spends the other hours ordering around 40 pairs of shoes from Amazon. he ordered a bunch of shit from from europe and had it shipped here for who knows what reason. He bought an ugly picture of like a beer bottle at, i think, Powells for like $600 but its so big he has to ship it back and thats gonna cost over $700 in shipping. He ordered something from REI but wanted to return so my dad him directions to the one in clackamas but he ends up in the mall "where his real friends are." Explaining how his new friends make commission off the thousands upon thousands of dollars he is spending on tacky jewelry pisses him off and he moves out of the bedroom he has successfully turned into a Hoarders episode in 10 days and into a motel near his beloved clackamas mall. his flight out of the country was today but whether he got on board and made it is a mystery. we kept trying to be sympathetic and hospitable and nice and charitable and tried to explain he needs help but he is deep in delusion and denial and we are all out of fucks to give. Fuck him

9/20/2023 — Hello, studying world. Today I start my journey of learning Korean with my first university Korean class (online). We didn't have any work on the first day, so all I did was read the syllabus (the most basic, non-informative syllabus I've ever read, ha), set up my new desk space, and updated my student bio on Canvas. I haven't been a college student for about 3 years, so it felt like I accomplished a lot. When the readings and assignments start coming in, I'm sure reality will hit.
I've always wanted to learn Korean, and my goal is to reach a near-fluent level, but I know it'll be hard, especially with my full-time work priorities. Eventually, being able to teach and work in translation is my goal. FYI, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese are on my list, too, but I'll be realistic and focus on one language for the foreseeable future.
Last week, as it so happens, I had to move from my family and childhood home, and I am lacking in the positivity department rn, so I think having a place to chronicle my studies and the progress I make will be good for me. I tend to start a new blog on here when I'm having a hard time, and it helps.
So, the plan is to take two full academic years of Korean (that's 3 quarters per year at my university). That's just how much Korean the school offers. I graduated in 2020 from this same university with a BA in English with a focus on professional and creative writing, and I really enjoyed the overall experience studying here.
I spent a whole lot of time obsessing over grammar, reading new and old literature, trying to understand poetry, and just enjoying the inner peace I felt when writing fiction. It was maybe my most happy time because I had no other real responsibilities or worries besides school. All I did was read and write.
Anyhow, fast forward to now, after pondering different language learning options (which are limited in my area), I decided to take my Korean classes at the university level because the classes will show up on my official university transcripts, and I imagine that will be best when I apply for future Korean-related jobs. I am also hoping that by taking university-level language classes, they will have some sort of superior level of... intensity? accuracy? efficiency? Something like that. Granted, this route isn't the best for my finances, as there is no aid for non-matriculated post-grads, and the cost of a single class is quite ridiculous. But alas, here I am, with an empty wallet and hope in my eyes.
Upon reading the syllabus today, which could basically be summarized as "TBD," I realized the textbook I bought, the textbook I waited over a week for, the one listed on the online course materials list, is, in fact, not the correct textbook.
And, icing on the bitter cake, the correct textbook appears to be a rare Pokémon that isn't available anywhere except the dark corners of eBay, where shipping will take at least 2 weeks. Like how did other students get this? Did they order it two months in advance? Meanwhile, I have my first assignments and readings due Monday.
I quite literally just sent an email to my professor and asked what I should do, so we'll see what she says, but I really wasn't hoping to be that one student, emailing the professor about an issue on day 1.
Since this is my first post here, here also is a tiny bit about me:
My name is Asya ("Asia"), and I'm a 24-year-old English grad based in Washington; no, not the one followed by DC, but the state with a lot of rain and trees. Twilight? Starbucks? Amazon? Yes, that one.
Since graduating in 2020, I've been a freelance editor and writer. I'm taking Korean both for passion and for work purposes, and I really should have started sooner. But I guess we're all on our own timelines.
I've been on Tumblr for a long, long time, but I've never been part of the studyblr sector. I'm glad to be here. :)

“The dangers of capitalism!” MOST OF THESE STORIES ARE ABOUT UNCHECK CORPORATISM, CONSUMERISM, AND MANKIND HURBIS YOU FUCKING IDIOTS
Sorry the angry black youth, I don’t want to be like it. But the capitalism complaints
Hmm let me check my own history
Oh chattel slavery, where my ancestors (my dad side of the family did the research) were forced to breed starting around 13
And some cases younger?
Yeah I’m saying with Amazon warehouse
Also I support working rights and all, but when u check a lot of ceos and executives working at these big companies pasts
These mfs were never hugged as kids and I can see they are embodiment of the daycare kid
Because I totally trust communism…wait modern commies online treats me like a fictional character
Also this idea
Commies: Non whites can never succeed in American capitalism!
Me: So what about this black woman who restaurant became a safe house for civil rights activists and her story inspired the creation of Disney black princess Tiana? https://travelnoire.com/dooky-chases-the-black-owned-restaurant-that-inspired-disneys-princess-and-the-frog
Commies: Um that don’t count
Benevolent racism combined with 'the soft bigotry of lowered expectations'
Be nice if instead of just riding the waves laid out taking the easy path handed to them folks would go and excel, but the motivation has been killed for a lot of people that see everything in life as a bummer and don't think that it will get any better.
(people not paying their student loans are in there, nah I'm not going to need good credit anyhow not like I'll ever buy a house. Dummies)

I remember when this guy paid off the student loans for that graduating class, was a great big of charity.
His grandparents helped make it possible for his parents to keep pushing and bam the Richest Black Man in the US shows up with a pretty humble lineage. _______________________
Maybe folks should challenge people instead of coddling them, meritocracy is alive and well and waiting for anyone that wants to take advantage of it.
which might be why certain groups are so dead set on killing it off, look what's happened with professional sports after all, maybe they're afraid of being replaced in the office the way they were on the basketball court.
I say let the best person for the job do the job

Prompt: Do you even know what this means
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Destiel
It doesn’t matter what Sam says – and he even seems to have learned his lesson in that regard, since he thankfully hasn’t complained about Dean’s life choices for months now, although that might have to do with his new girlfriend Sarah – Dean loves his little antique book shop, and he has never regretted that he bought it on a whim back when he was eighteen and Mr. Bythell wanted to retire.
Yes, some clients can be a handful, and he has several opinions about Amazon that he knows to keep to himself lest they get back to them and he gets buried under the power of Jeff Bezos, but still. There are a lot of wonderful moments when he finds a rare book or can help someone who has been desperately seeking for a title or just needs a break from the stress of every day life. It might be frustrating that he can’t afford a full-time employee, but Charlie and Gilda are always happy to help out, and students like Kevin are happy to take any summer job that presents itself.
And so, he has no plans of changing things. He lives his life, he sells and buys books, there are game nights with Charlie and Gilda and Andrea and Benny and Crowley, when he can get his friend to admit he is actually having fun during those, and everything’s fine.
And then things change, although not in the way he would have assumed if he had expected them to.
Because today the door bell rings out and a new customer comes in. Now, that’s nothing new in and out of itself, but the guy is – to be perfectly frank – hot.
And he says that as someone who has had his fun, if you know what he means.
Still.
“Hey” he greets him, strolling towards him. “Can I help?”
He blinks at him, looking ever so slightly confused and rumpled and oh God, Dean is in trouble. “I just moved here” he then informs him abruptly. “I’m Castiel Novak.”
“Like the angel?” he asks, only learning later he’s the only one who’s ever reacted that way.
Castiel blinks at him again and Dean holds out his hand. “Dean Winchester.”
Two months later
“You should try and do more with the internet.”
Apart from the fact that Cas just pronounced the word as if he has never heard of wi-fi, Dean can’t help but shake his head. “We all know how that would end.”
“I don’t mean just an online-shop. I was thinking about a book subscription service – they are all the range, these days. Maybe something like a mystery box, the sort of thing people unbox on YouTube. People would subscribe and you could choose the books.”
So Cas, who lives in a house where the electricity barely works, just asked him to – “Do you even know what this means?” he asks because he can’t help it – is he really supposed to believe that someone who dresses like Columbo has any idea what the internet is?
“I do sell my honey online” Cas says, sounding almost disappointed, and he’s quick to do damage control.
“Sorry, man. It’s not a bad idea – not a bad idea at all – just – do you think there’d even be a market for it?”
“I don’t see why not” Cas shrugs. “You still sell books, don’t you, even though everyone seems to think they are going out of style, as they say” oh God he’s actually doing quoty fingers and it looks much much cuter than it has any right to “so why should it not work when you develop your own way of doing so in the Internet?”
It might just work, Dean reflects. And really, what has he got to lose? Yes, his bookshop, but he’s always on the brink of doing that anyway…
“Alright” he decides, “Any ideas?”
Cas looks at him and they are back at the staring one another thing, great.
Yet he can’t bring himself to mind too much.
Three years later
“Cas are you smuggling books about bees into the boxes again?”
“They are really interesting! Remember, we got several emails about them just last month…”
He can’t help but admit that, so he kisses his husband instead of saying anything. “Fine” he announces, drawing back, “but next month I get to pick the theme.”
“It’s going to be old-timers” Cas grumbles.
“Are you really going to tell me that I only have one topic of interest?”
Cas looks so guilty that Dean just has to kiss him again. “Hey, look, as long as the customers don’t mind, and they don’t seem to…”
This time when they separate, Cas is smiling at him and Dean – with the roof leaking again, a customer having tried to steal several books yesterday, and Crowley and his mother once more at odds – has never felt more blessed in his life.

Best ways to make money online for beginners
In today's digital age, the internet offers a plethora of opportunities for individuals to earn money from the comfort of their homes. Whether you're a student, a stay-at-home parent, or someone looking to supplement their income, the online world has something for everyone. In this guide, we'll explore some of the best and most accessible ways for beginners to make money online.
Freelancing: One of the most straightforward ways to start making money online is by freelancing. Websites like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer connect freelancers with clients looking for services such as writing, graphic design, programming, and more. As a beginner, you can create a profile highlighting your skills and start bidding on available projects.
Online Surveys and Reviews: Companies are always seeking feedback, and they are willing to pay for your opinions. Websites like Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and Vindale Research offer cash or gift cards in exchange for participating in surveys, watching videos, or writing product reviews. While the payouts may be modest, they are an easy and low-effort way to start earning.
Affiliate Marketing: Affiliate marketing involves promoting products and earning a commission for each sale made through your unique affiliate link. Beginners can start by joining affiliate programs of companies like Amazon Associates, ShareASale, or ClickBank. Create content around the products you're promoting, such as blog posts or videos, and share your affiliate links to earn a percentage of the sales.
Online Tutoring: If you excel in a particular subject, consider becoming an online tutor. Websites like Chegg Tutors, Tutor.com, and Wyzant connect students with tutors for one-on-one sessions. As a tutor, you can set your own schedule and rates, making it a flexible option for those with expertise in various subjects.
Content Creation on YouTube: YouTube is not just a platform for entertainment; it's also a lucrative space for content creators. Create videos around your passions or expertise, and once you've built a following, you can monetize your channel through ads, sponsorships, and merchandise. Quality content, consistency, and engagement with your audience are key to success on YouTube.
Sell Handmade Products on Etsy: If you have a crafty side, Etsy provides a platform to sell handmade or vintage items. From jewelry and artwork to customized gifts, Etsy allows you to turn your hobbies into a profitable venture. Invest time in creating appealing product listings and providing excellent customer service to build a positive reputation.
Remote Customer Service: Many companies hire remote customer service representatives to handle inquiries via phone, chat, or email. Websites like Remote.co and Indeed list remote customer service jobs that allow you to work from home. As long as you have good communication skills and a reliable internet connection, this can be a great entry point for beginners.
Making money online as a beginner is more achievable than ever, thanks to the diverse opportunities available. Whether you choose freelancing, affiliate marketing, content creation, or selling handmade products, the key is to start small, stay consistent, and continuously improve your skills. With dedication and effort, the online world can become a rewarding source of income for anyone willing to explore its vast possibilities.

How to Earn Online Money In the USA
There are various ways to earn money online in the USA. Keep in mind that like any other form of income, online earning requires effort, time, and sometimes initial investment. Here are some legitimate methods to make money online:
Freelancing: Offer your skills and services on freelance platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, or Toptal. Depending on your expertise, you can find opportunities in writing, graphic design, web development, digital marketing, and more.
Online Surveys and Market Research: Participate in paid surveys and market research studies on websites like Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and Vindale Research. While this won't make you rich, it's an easy way to earn some extra cash.
Content Creation: If you have a passion for creating content, you can start a blog, YouTube channel, or podcast. Once you gain an audience, you can monetize through ads, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing.
Online Teaching: If you have expertise in a subject or skill, consider teaching online. Platforms like VIPKid and Teachable allow you to create and sell courses to students worldwide.
Selling Products: Start an online store using platforms like Shopify or Etsy to sell physical or digital products. You can also leverage Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) to sell products without the hassle of shipping and handling.
Stock Photography: If you're a photographer, you can sell your photos on stock photography websites like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock.
Virtual Assistant: Offer virtual assistant services to businesses and entrepreneurs. Tasks may include managing emails, scheduling, data entry, and more.
Affiliate Marketing: Promote products or services through affiliate links, and earn a commission for every sale made through your unique referral link.
Online Investing: Consider investing in stocks, cryptocurrencies, or peer-to-peer lending platforms, but always remember that investing involves risk.
Online Gaming and Streaming: If you're skilled in gaming, you can earn money through live streaming on platforms like Twitch, YouTube Gaming, or Facebook Gaming. Additionally, some games offer opportunities to earn money through in-game items and currencies.
Dropshipping: Start an e-commerce business without holding any inventory. With dropshipping, you sell products to customers, and the supplier ships the products directly to them. Platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce can help you set up your online store.
Remote Work: Many companies offer remote job opportunities. Websites like Remote.co and FlexJobs list remote positions across various industries.
Transcription Services: If you have good typing skills, consider providing transcription services to convert audio or video content into text. Websites like Rev and TranscribeMe offer such opportunities.
Online Consulting: If you have expertise in a particular field (e.g., business, finance, marketing, health), offer consulting services online via video calls or email.
Rent Out Your Space: If you have extra space, you can rent it out through platforms like Airbnb for short-term rentals or use Peerspace for events and meetings.
Online Surplus Sales: Sell items you no longer need on online marketplaces like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or Craigslist.
Language Tutoring: If you are fluent in multiple languages, offer language tutoring or translation services through websites like italki or Verbling.
Remote Programming: If you're a programmer or software developer, you can find remote coding projects on platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Stack Overflow Jobs.
Online Data Entry: Some companies offer data entry tasks that can be completed remotely. Look for opportunities on job boards or freelancing platforms.
Social Media Management: Help businesses manage their social media presence and create content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Create and Sell Printables: If you have design skills, create printable templates or digital products like planners, calendars, and artwork to sell on platforms like Etsy or your website.

Remote Customer Service: Some companies hire remote customer service representatives to handle customer inquiries via phone, chat, or email.
Virtual Events and Webinars: Host virtual events or webinars on topics of interest and charge attendees for access.
Remember that success in online ventures often requires consistency, dedication, and adaptability. It may take time to build a sustainable income stream, so be patient and keep learning and improving your skills. Always be cautious of scams and never invest money you can't afford to lose in any online opportunity.

On April 28th, 2023, the ground really moved for one woman during the second movement of the LA Philharmonic’s performance of Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony, when she experienced a “loud and full body orgasm.” Several concertgoers described the woman’s climactic moment from the balcony at the packed Walt Disney Concert Hall. “Everyone kind of turned to see what was happening,” Molly Grant, who was sitting near the overjoyed woman, told the Los Angeles Times on Sunday. “I saw the girl after it had happened, and I assume that she … had an orgasm because she was heavily breathing,” she said. “It was quite beautiful,” Grant added. An audio clip purporting to capture the woman’s moment of ecstasy has gone viral. British composer Magnus Fiennes, brother of actor Ralph Fiennes, also was in attendance. “A woman in the audience had loud and full body orgasm during the 5th’s second movement. Band politely carried on,” he said on Twitter. However, some social media users expressed their doubts about the incident, with one who was present suggesting that the woman had a medical emergency. Fiennes insisted, “It absolutely happened. Was in close proximity and had no less than eight other friends attending. All reached a similar conclusion.” Classical pianist Sharon Su added in a tweet that she “checked with someone who works at the LA Phil and they confirmed” that the incident was real and that the orchestra did not stop playing during Tchaikovsky’s 5th. The LA Times reported that its sources and the audio clip corroborated the accounts that the orchestra did not miss a beat during the explosive moment. Music agent Lukas Burton told the LA Times that the woman’s loud moan was “wonderfully timed” to a “romantic swell” during the performance. “One can’t know exactly what happened, but it seemed very clear from the sound that it was an expression of pure physical joy,” Burton told the paper.
Okay, that’s enough information for one day. Have a tremendous and tumultuous Tuesday! I love you all.
